Wisconsin dairy farmers, cheese makers and dairy processors continue to evaluate the international marketplace for opportunities. Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin helps them pursue those opportunities. Chad Vincent, CEO of Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin says despite tariff talk, demand for Wisconsin's specialty cheeses, as well as things like dried milk, keep finding favor in the international marketplace. Vincent says continuing to focus on that arena is critical since approximately 95% of the global population is outside the United States. Making sure that industry partners understand what influences Wisconsin dairy is part of the mission of Ben Miller's work. He's the Senior Vice President of Industry Relations for Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin. His job is to make sure wherever there's questions about Wisconsin dairy - informational and educational resources are there. From helping lawmakers understand the needs of the dairy industry, to supplying food distributors stories about Wisconsin dairy - Miller's there to help. He stresses that DFW is not allowed to lobby, but providing education and information helps everyone. ‘Born to Dairy’ is one new campaign that was launched during World Dairy Expo that should help everyone see themselves as a part of Wisconsin dairy. With the creative help of Charlie Berens, the campaign highlights the different styles of Wisconsin dairy farmers that help drive the industry. Berens says he's always intrigued by the different sizes, styles and types of dairies that he visits in Wisconsin. He loves the products, but he really loves the stories behind the products. He tells Pam Jahnke about what it took to help pull the stories together, and what he's looking forward to going forward. Forget Hollywood casting. The “Born to Dairy” campaign stars real Wisconsin farmers, families, and dairy community members, from DFW board members to Professional Dairy Producers (PDP) to the 78th Alice in Dairyland. Ever feel like your stuff is running your life instead of the other way around? Like no matter how much you declutter, your home still feels overwhelming — and every “maybe someday” pile just keeps growing? In this episode, I sit down with decluttering coach and creator of Downsize Upgrade, Abigail Roe, to talk about why letting go isn't just about tough love or sentimentality — it's about logic, systems, and learning to stop overthinking your stuff. Abigail shares her refreshingly practical approach to simplifying, from her “Wheel of Decluttering” challenge to her F.I.V.E. method for curating clothes. She brings equal parts truth bombs and silly jingles (yes, really!) to make the process not only doable but fun. Whether you're drowning in clothes that don't fit, sentimental keepsakes, or just way too many organizing containers — this conversation will leave you motivated, clear-headed, and ready to finally make space for joy and productivity. ✨ We talk about: Why “being sentimental” often masks a struggle to let go The F.I.V.E. method for deciding what clothes deserve space in your closet How curating as you go makes decluttering easier (and less emotional) The genius behind the Wheel of Decluttering — and why you'll want to spin it How to stop impulse buying before it fills your home again Why joy plus productivity is the real secret to lasting change

“An interdisciplinary approach to medicine is probably the way the future is going to go. There will be dieticians and a whole host of different people involved in helping someone to heal.” —Jonathan Carp For too long, we've been told that health comes in a medicine bottle or a doctor's office, but what if the real power lies in the food we choose every day? If you've ever felt frustrated by quick fixes that don't last or wondered how to make healthy changes that actually stick, you're not alone—and this episode is for you. Dr. Jonathan Carp is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Miracle Noodle, a company born from his passion for using nutrition and lifestyle to transform health. With years of experience helping patients and building a wellness brand, he's on a mission to make healthy eating accessible, enjoyable, and truly life-changing. Tune in as Justine and Dr. Carp break down the myths about comfort food, reveal how small changes can lead to big results, and share real stories of healing, grit, and the surprising joy of eating well. Meet Jonathan: A Dermatologist since 2000, Dr. Jonathan Carp started Miracle Noodle in 2006. In 2004, he had a patient who healed herself from lupus through nutritional and lifestyle modification. Since then, he has treated hundreds of patients through lifestyle modification, especially nutritional changes, with a special interest in auto-immune diseases. This has turned into a nutritional obsession that led to his learning about the health benefits of the konjac plant. While he still practices medicine, a significant amount of time is now also devoted to Miracle Noodle and exploring and testing healthy, healing food options based on traditional cultural diets. Dr. Carp firmly believes that all that ails us in the world today could be solved by going back a few generations and making sure that the nutritional wisdom of our ancestors is remembered and combined with the latest science. While Miracle Noodle keeps him busy, it has allowed him the resources to investigate and learn about the nutritional wisdom of the world and how to get products and knowledge out to the world through his patients and his companies. VIP members https://app.swiss-german-online.com/videos/8tSQVFzdAMgp5Dks6b6F Standard German https://app.german.dog/videos/bX9azRbGwnHdGOX4Engj When I was a kid, we didn't have a TV at home. That meant I spent my time doing other things – crafting, playing outside, hanging out with friends, playing guitar, even reading and drawing. That was just normal. And the internet? That wasn't even around yet! But then, when I was in 4th grade, at around 11 years old, something big happened – we got a TV! And wow, that changed everything. Before, I was always busy doing things. But once we had a TV, I started spending more and more time glued to the screen. We didn't even have that many channels, but once I sat down – maybe just to watch the news with my dad – I couldn't stop. It was like a trap. Nowadays, people talk about social media addiction, but back then, TV was already a problem! I found myself watching more and more, sleeping less, and wasting hours flipping through channels. During the week, I was fine – I had school, homework, guitar lessons, and activities that kept me busy. But on Friday and Saturday evenings, it was the worst. Instead of going to bed early, I'd stay up watching TV until I was completely exhausted. Even today, moving images still have a hypnotic effect on me. If my kids are watching a bedtime story on TV, I find myself sitting down with them! Maybe it's just an excuse to take a break.

TransPanTastic: Transgender parenting, work, marriage, transition, and life!
We went back to Alaska to pick up Child#2, and took our own little vacation along the way, stopping in Seattle first. But of course, nothing ever goes to plan around here, so in addition to George having a date and Jess getting to see a friend, we also had to do long-distance parenting and kid-transit troubleshooting. We are here to share our entire intersectional experience with anyone who finds it beneficial, but we want to know what you connect with the most. You can let us know by clicking to a one-question anonymous survey at vote.pollcode.com/32371374. If you have a request/suggestion that isn't listed, comment! We can be found online at TransPanTastic.net, you can email us at TransPanTastic@gmail.com, and "TransPanTastic" is searchable on most social networks. We would love to hear from you, so let us know what you think or what you want to hear about!
Today's episode explores different methods for relaxation and unwinding after work. Mike compares using a makeshift sauna with towels in the shower to traditional methods like bathtubs and hot tubs, discussing the advantages of his approach in terms of convenience and effectiveness. The discussion also emphasizes the importance of finding healthy and productive ways to unplug and relax before bed, contrasting these methods with less effective practices like screen time and as an alternative to watching movies or shows. Jesse shares a fun way to handle "fun money" from long-time YNAB software engineer Kyle. Kyle suggests creating separate bank accounts for fun money with separate budgets as well. His method evolved from the desire to keep the visibility of fun money separate from his spouse, so they could 1.) take any judgment or guilt away from spending fun money, and 2.) spend on fun things for each other without ruining the surprise! Ordinarily, Jesse advocates for simplifying your bank accounts as much as possible, but Kyle is a veteran YNAB'er and his method may be a fun experiment for you to try in your own family!
