Text Rudy Now!Hosts: Peter, Lee, and ShaneEpisode Title: "Green Beards, Mole Maps, and Poolside Positivity"Episode Summary:Join Peter, Lee, and Shane for a wildly entertaining kickoff to 2025 as they dive into the post-Christmas chaos of the pool industry. From Peter's rare quiet Christmas (no last-minute calls for green pool rescues!) to Shane's annual naked mole map at the dermatologist (for UV protection, of course), this episode is packed with humor, practical advice, and a surprising amount of banter about ketchup for green hair. With Australia's brutal summer sun in full swing, the team tackles the importance of protecting yourself and your staff from UV exposure. From sunscreen to long-sleeved shirts, coconut water to polarized sunglasses, they share tips for staying safe and hydrated while working under the relentless sun.Plus, Lee recounts one of the most bizarre water tests she's ever seen—spoiler alert: green hair and copper-filled water are involved. The team emphasizes the importance of identifying the cause of a problem, not just treating the symptoms, and how being knowledgeable earns clients' trust and loyalty for life.Highlights from the Episode:Peter's Christmas Miracle: No frantic Christmas Eve calls to fix green pools this year!Shane's Dermatologist Visit: UV in New Zealand is no joke—naked mole maps save lives (and skin!).Lee's Nightmare Test Results: Zero alkalinity, 6.3 pH, 3.6 copper levels, and the greenest hair you've ever seen.Pro Tips for Employers: How to protect your staff from UV exposure and dehydration during peak summer.Customer Honesty: Why pool owners denying everything doesn't help fix their problems.Key Takeaways:Always test source water when troubleshooting unusual pool chemistry.Protect yourself and your team from UV with sunscreen, hats, and hydration. When in doubt, trust the pros—not the big-box store selling chlorine with surprise ingredients.Positivity is infectious—bring good vibes to your clients and your team!Sponsor: Buffer Zone SystemsStreamline your pool business operations with the most advanced software in the industry. Welcome back to another episode of That Don't Sound Right, a podcast about having genuine conversations without the crutch of the internet. Hosts Peter and Cecil dive into a highly controversial topic that might land them in hot water, especially when their wives get back into town. This week, the duo shares a dilemma that has them pondering the purchase of a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette with a unique Daytona package. The car has a long nose, a 350 cubic inch engine, and an intriguing history. They discuss various options, from making it a personal project car to incorporating the podcast as an LLC to buy it together. The episode also revisits previous discussions about the car from episodes 75 and 76, and the hosts weigh the pros and cons of taking on this new venture. Will they give in to temptation, or will they walk away? Tune in to find out, and perhaps lend your advice on their social media platforms. Don't forget to follow them on Instagram and stay tuned for updates, including potential video reels of the Corvette in action. E66 The Fifth CourtHosts Mark Tottenham BL and Peter Leonard BL have a most entertaining discussion with retired District Justice, Olann Kelleher, about his fourteen years on the bench in Cork (as well as being on the bench for the historic Munster V All-Blacks match in 1978 - including a classic one-liner from legend Moss Keane). The former judge says there are too many loopholes in our drink/driving laws and they need to be updated. Continuing on the alcohol theme his greatest shock was the abuse suffered by A&E nurses and other staff who are regularly attacked by drunken patients. He cites the case of one nurse who was so traumatised by being attacked that she'll never work as a nurse again. He is hugely concerned about the amount of cocaine use in Cork and he explains how he dealt with 'first time cocaine' cases along with the Probation Services. And he refers to the harassment of Cork legend Roy Keane by locals, a subsequent court case and the wisdom of the Number 16 shirt wearer and why he insisted on bringing the matter to court, against the wishes of his then employers. His recommendation of a legal book for either professional or lay person is Ruadhán Mac Cormaic's book, 'The Supreme Court' - easily the most recommended book on the podcast. This interview will put a smile on your face. Our interlocutors also review three cases from the Decisis.ie casebookA waste management case and the refusal of a permit to a person deemed not 'fit and proper'A case involving a planning delay that our two barristers felt would have great significance for 'delayed' cases.A case about misconduct in court (accused threw a bible at the judge) and whether the accused could be sanctioned by the Prison Authority. With thanks to Clio.com/ie Hosted on Acast. Hour 3: We have a bunch of clips of WFAN hosts losing their minds on callers and Sal ranks them in order of angriness. Peter returns for an update and starts with the Nuggets winning the NBA Title. We heard from Nikola Jokic, the Finals MVP. Sal shares his struggles with mulching. The Subway Series gets underway tonight in Citi Field. Sal said we are all zombies: on our phones, on weed, drinking. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry wonders where Sal was when Luis Castillo dropped the pop up in the Subway Series. Sal was there at the stadium with Mike Francesa. Sal also had to drive down to Englishtown NJ to watch his kid play. It was 2 ½ hours each way. Sal wants to live a life of convenience and does not want to do anything he doesn't want to do anymore. Jerry wants Sal to choose between heartbreaking sports team losses or doing inconvenient things in life. Sal said he is taking his independence back.
