The Impact of Confidence In Sales

Salespeople understand that the grease that keeps them going in the sales process is confidence and the best way to win prospects is trust. But sales confidence doesn’t always come naturally. It is the product of having a level of understanding that comes from training programs and the competency that results from passionately learning and diving so deeply into the subject matter that you’re trying to become an expert on.   To be an effective salesperson: Focus on your strength Replace negative energy with positive influences Learn from other’s success.   In today’s episode of the Access Points Podcast, Cody and Mike will talk about how confidence plays a fundamental role in the success of every salesperson. With more than four decades of combined experience in sales and marketing, they will share their expertise on how they thrive, even in the most challenging times, and how they bring salespeople to their utmost potential.   In This Episode 2:23 - What defines a competent sales representative 6:26 - How confidence translates to competence 9:00 - The key to a salesperson's ultimate success 14:36 - How Cody thrives during situations like frozen budget and financial meltdown 19:30 - The two types of salespeople 26:02 - How Mike revitalizes a sales rep that lost confidence   Favorite Quotes "What do successful people in sales look like? And those are confident people. But it's not cheap confidence that it's arrogance or anything like that. It's earned through the competency that you do every day and in the delivery of how you send that message." - Mike   "Only the prepared speaker deserves to be confident." - Mike   "The currency of sales is first and foremost, you have to understand that it's a relationship based engagement. So being that it is a relationship based engagement. The currency in that field is trust." - Cody   "Never get too high with the highs, never get too low with the lows. Get that competency level, earn the level to be able to transfer this confidence and produce consistently whether or not you're on the road or you're at home. You hit the same number of doubles. That defines whether or not you're going to be a hall of fame salesperson or not." - Mike   "One of the things that I communicated to my team was to focus on the strength areas. And focusing on the strength areas is really based upon how self-aware you are of what you're good at and what you're bad at." - Mike   "If you're a salesperson that takes a sales presentation, build upon it and make it you, now you're onto something. Check it out, learn it, become the SME, and then do your own thing."   Visit Access EFM: Website Facebook LinkedIn Twitter   Click here to listen with Access Points Podcast

Authenticity and enthusiasm has really helped him succeed in his real estate career. Therefore, he emphasized stop trying to be something you’re not and be authentic. Cody believes that authentic people attract results, good relationships, and build a good rapport. Furthermore, people will respect, listen, and connect to you more with your simplicity and authenticity. Cody became clever and nerd in marketing and branding, and how he structures deals. As he figured out how to master the money game, he started losing the excitement of earning more money and buying stuff. Currently, aside from spending more time and experience with his wife and children, and as a man with a good heart, Cody pursues his passion for animal conservation and working with kids. He found ways to realize his ambition to be with kids, influence, and impact them. This is through running and funding charities for underprivileged kids, tutoring them, giving school supplies, and helping them develop their ability to play sports! Some Questions I Ask:  Where did the Clever Investor brand all start? (01:22) What do you say to that person that may be in that first hunt for the deal, in their first deal, or looking to scale to the next level that really prevents them from generating real wealth? (13:32) What have been some of your best and favorite marketing channels? (19:32) When do you think AI is really gonna make its way to the masses in terms of lead generation and marketing for discounted distress real estate deals? (23:57) What do you say in terms of opportunity, what should people seasoned or beginner be doing right now to position themselves to scope that water up and not be building the well after the waves already hit? (29:58) Where are the best places to find more information in terms of what you guys have to offer?  (39:51) What is your overall mentality around wealth-building and what are you really striving for in the big picture in what’s to come in the future for the Clever Investor?  (47:38)  In This Episode, You Will Learn: How to fast track in gaining internal strength in marketing (14:32) “Marketing is it comes in waves” – what does it mean (19:47) Probability and Propensity Marketing Model (20:56) Two social platforms that Cody leaning on with marketing (25:02) Understanding real estate current supply and demand (31:22) How Cody create balance as a successful entrepreneur (51:36) Creating a For Purpose Business and Profits (54:54) Quotes: “Proximity is power.” “Stop trying to be something you’re not, be authentic.” “Authentic people attract results, authentic people attract good relationships, authentic people build a good rapport.”  Connect with Cody Sperber on: Clever Investor 100 million Academy Instagram Facebook YouTube Twitter The Avengers Mastermind Avengers Live

Cody Loughlin is the ultimate serial entrepreneur. He began learning finance at age 18, was a millionaire by age 27, but then went bankrupt and had to rebuild at age 28. Cody retired at 39 to pursue his passion for teaching financial literacy, successful mindset and entrepreneurship that schools refuse to teach. Cody's companies have reached over $200 million in sales, and Cody has landed on the INC 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America twice. Between opening 13 different companies and counting, Cody serves as the Vice President of a commercial bank and has financed over $100 million in loans during that time. Realizing the lack of financial education in our school systems, Cody has set out to change the financial trajectory of today's youth, by giving tools to parents to help them deepen their relationships with their children while equipping them with the information they need to be financially free. What you'll learn about in this episode: How Cody had planned on being a marine biologist until a lesson in compound interest sparked Cody's passion for financial education How Cody started his first company and began growing his empire, and how he achieved his goal of becoming a millionaire by the time he was 30… until he lost everything How Cody reinvented himself through going into personal finance and banking, and what critical lessons Cody learned during his journey Why everyone wants success and financial independence in life but too few people are willing to take action to achieve it, and why making no decision is worse than a bad one Why the speed of your success comes from whose advice you choose to accept, and why the wisdom of people who have experienced and recovered from failure is invaluable Why Cody chose to begin sharing his story in an effort to help others, and how telling the story of his struggles had a therapeutic effect for Cody Why there is an extraordinary lack of financial and entrepreneurial education for kids, and how Cody is working to change that through his work with The Money Talkers Why it is important for parents to teach their kids about finances to prepare them for adulthood, and how Cody's podcast can help start the conversation How Robert T. What happens when you launch 21 power offers in 4 months? One of the core principles I teach in High Ticket courses is being agile. Being able to move quickly and test a lot of ideas. Usually, that's to find the one idea we can scale. But what if they all work? What if you can find specific power offers and messaging to appeal to several categories of people without changing anything about your offer or promise? Cody Neer is the founder of eCommerce Brand Academy. He joined High Ticket Courses around December 2019. Cody's program was set up in a unique way, in that he has a ton of eCommerce courses specific to different platforms. For example, Amazon, ClickFunnels, Etsy, Pinterest, Facebook ads, etc. And because of this, he was able to create and test several power offers and mini webinars targeting each platform interest. When I first checked in with Cody after he joined High Ticket Courses, he had tested 7 power offers and closed on all 7. Now, he's up to 21 offers. All running concurrently. All making money. In all my years of teaching this stuff, I’ve never seen something like this before. So I absolutely had to interview him on Sold With Webinars. In this week’s episode, you'll discover: How Cody ended up with so many different courses inside eCommerce Brand Academy [03:00] he evolution of Cody's power offers and a surprising result as he transitioned from "done for you" messaging to "do it yourself" messaging [09:35] Cody's cost per application, conversion rates, and how he handles fulfillment [13:30] The "root cause" behind why High Ticket offers work, even if the information can be found online for free [19:17] And much more Helpful Resources For a full transcript of this episode, visit our blog. To do this I am joined by someone who's job it is to inspire curiosity in people around the world, Cody Gough! The return on investing in curiosity is immeasurable.  We will discuss: How Cody has developed more curiosity through the show What role curiosity plays in producing Nobel Prize winners Why curiosity makes you better at hospitality The importance of outside interests and hobbies Steps to take in igniting your curiosity Some of the coolest hangs Cody has learned from his show   Links: www.Curiosity.com Cody on Twitter   Related episodes: 165 : The Art of Deep Listening w/ Oscar Trimboli 137 : Essential Books for your professional Development 112 : The Power of Story w/ James Harper   The BEST in commercial coffee equipment www.prima-coffee.com/keys   Want the best plant based beverage for your coffee drinks?  www.pacificfoods.com/food-service
