Some Questions I Ask: Where did your journey start for you, brother? When was it when you really thought about investing in real estate? What were some of the skill sets that you knew you could leverage going into this wealth-building journey? What were some of the things that you see people holding back when it comes to a wealth-building journey? Why real estate and what was your vision? What is it that you are involved in now? If you have to pick one as your favorite investment just because of why you like it, and one that has been the best investment from a pure number standpoint, what would those asset classes be? What do you say to those people in terms of how they can really get their start and get involved in a deal even if they don't have that money? Where did you start with your research on creative deals? How did you take that first step and structure something creative that works? How powerful can be the “my price your terms, and your price my terms” strategy? What are you doing to protect your wealth, and what opportunities are you looking forward to capitalizing on and your outlook in 2023? How have you approached elevating your social presence and expanding your net worth? What does your strategy and approach to finding those sellers and those opportunities look like? What are some ways you go about to gather that data? What is it that keeps you driving down this path for financial freedom, and what does real wealth mean to you, David? In This Episode, You Will Learn: David's real definition of success. Why money is the easiest part of the equation to solve. Creative financing strategy. Whereas astrology has become a popular practice for many people worldwide, especially in recent years, there is still a lot of skepticism around it. Many skeptics tend to correlate the word astrology with horoscope, its most publicized practice, but this is only a tiny part of it. Numerous astrological methods, like natal charts, are complicated and embedded with years of traditions. Humans have been mapping patterns in the sky for centuries. Ancient Babylonians first carved the heavens into the Western zodiac we recognize today. Astrology was once a vital part of Western European culture, considered a science with the same integrity as astronomy. It was the advent of science in the 17th century that denigrated astrology as a pseudoscience. Nevertheless, its popularity is soaring, even thanks to social media, and people have started using it for many aspects of their lives. Today's guest, Ilona Pamplona, will tell us about her background in college education, how Walter Mercado and her mom introduced her to magic and astrology, and why she decided to become the Postmodern Oracle. Ilona Pamplona is an astrology-informed life coach. She is an MA wellness coach and has a book called The Chronicle Books. Ilona is a chief community-visionary officer, and she is also a believer in magical realism. She's helped dozens of women reconnect with their inner worlds, harness the magic of their emotions, and transform their most important relationship, the one they have with themselves. When it comes to writing, whether it is journaling or writing a book, or a screenplay, the most important thing is that it needs to come from within yourself without any restrictions or mental filters. How often did you hear something like, you should journal about your problems? This is standard advice when it comes to journaling. The idea that you have to write specific topics for your writing to have a purpose is widespread, but it can't be more hurtful because it prevents your mind from being creative and expressing its true self. To fully express yourself through writing, you need to write whatever you want it to be, without fear or filters. Just write what you feel about writing, and start from there. As many of you may know, September is National Hispanic Heritage month as a time to recognize and celebrate the many contributions, diverse cultures, and extensive histories of the American Latino community. Many of those who came to this country had one clear endgame: to accomplish the American Dream. To celebrate all the Latinos' accomplishments in the United States, I decided to bring back an episode that has a special place in my heart, my father's story. Now that we are about to celebrate Mexican Independence Day on September 16, I wanted you to hear his story of how he was able to manifest his dreams and create a successful life not only for himself but for his children. Today's guest, Raul Tapia, will tell us why he decided to leave Mexico and come to the United States, his first job as a truck driver, and how, from there, he was able to build his own profitable business. Raul Tapia began his career in the food service industry in 1972 as a truck driver. In 1978 he was promoted to a sales position in which he worked to become the top sales executive for Vincent Arranaga Foodservices. In 1980, Raul bought his restaurant Casa Gamino, and after 27 years of proprietorship, he sold it to his long-time manager. In 1985, he founded Tapia Brother with his two brothers, which has become a very successful business today. Later, Aaron started flipping houses and succeeds. But because of unplanned actions & uncontrolled spending on the wrong things, they blew up the opportunities. They hit the bottom but during his down moments, Aaron swallows his pride from being a millionaire to doing manual jobs like what a carpenter typically do, and became an Uber driver. He decided to do something and not just be lazy to go back in the path. They hold their faith and their spiritual part stronger and it really helps them get up and back up. Now, Aaron and his wife Kaleena have over 1,000 rental properties and looking forward to adding more. The couple makes sure they would not miss the second chance; they spend their money on the right thing, donating a portion of their income to the church, and building more memories with his family. In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, a remarkable guest, David Neagle who shares his entrepreneurial journey gives amazing tips on how to be a successful entrepreneur, how to get rid fears and back up from failures, how to get rid toxic people in your life, how to make your idea realize, and when is it the right time to diversify and start investing out of your business! David Neagle is a mindset mentor, famous speaker, podcaster and host of The Successful Mind Podcast, bestselling author of The Millions Within, a book focusing on intention, focus, and awareness to build your dream business and life. David is the founder of the multimillion-dollar global coaching company Life Is Now, Inc, helping thousands of entrepreneurs, experts and self-employed professionals gain confidence and find the right mindset to increase their revenue, turning their endeavors into seven- and eight-figure ventures. Being in the coaching and mentorship industry for more than 20 years, David has worked alongside other well-known mentors like Bob Proctor and Tony Robbins, and his clients include many well-known people, including New York Times #1 best-selling author Jen Sincero. Because of the results his clients have achieved, along with his dedication, David's coaching has expanded to more than 30 countries, and he has been featured on Forbes, CBS, NBC, Wall Street Journal, Inc, HLN, Entrepreneur, and Fox. Young David became street smart because it was needed to keep away the fears from the surroundings. His life was not on a good track and grew up witnessing all the struggles within his family. Because David doesn't want his children to experience the hardships he'd been through, he doubles down on being a responsible person and a father. David didn't know that he was an entrepreneur at heart but was really preferred to make his own thing and be in control with his own income than working for somebody else. He wanted to change his situation but doesn't know where to get started. Then, he realized that he must change his attitudes first to change his situation. So while working for Petroleum Company for seven years, he prepared himself, he learned to work with other people and learned from them, studied who David Neagle is, and how to be a successful person. Later, David decided to leave the corporate world and build his own business. He left his work to consulting, coaching, speaking, and that he built Neagle Media. Because David was very determined to win, he had developed the ability to lose without taking it personally, take chances, take risks, develop the good attitudes, frameworks, and learn from the mistakes and people he had with. A mentor motivated him to become a good follower; he gets rid of his ego and the shame around asking for help which he had no idea that it was blocking him so much. Just like other entrepreneurs, he encountered bumps and challenges but learned to accept himself and embraced it. To him, failing is fine but what's not fine is that you never try what you desire to do with. Losing is not the end, so stand, and back up. Thus, stop being afraid of making decisions and failing but always find the right thing about the things that got wrong, learned from it and go on. He learned the strategy and tactics to enjoy success just like other entrepreneurs because mistakes don't really bother him but he used it to continue to grow and expand. David gives advice on not investing in the things that you don't understand and develop skills set in understanding your business like sales, marketing, social media, and stuff like that. On the other side, despite his success, David has always had a deep desire in helping people the way his mentor had helped him. From starting off with the basic idea of wealth fund - just taking 10 cents out of every dollar that came to the company to now having multiple companies and helping people to be free and creating the lifestyle they want. Therefore, he expands it more globally to really touch people's lives all over. Neagle believes that entrepreneurship is something that's going to bring us together as a world more than it is that something that's going to divide us because most entrepreneurs want to do something good! Some Questions I Ask: Where did your journey begin from an entrepreneurial perspective? (00:43) What do you think is the one among the key characteristics of successful entrepreneurs that served you at the highest level as a business owner? (08:58) What's your definition of being a good student? (09:15) Is that one of the things that you see hurting a lot of entrepreneurs right now is this ‘figured it out on my own' mentality versus seeking mentorship? (11:36) What is it that you see stopping so many people and how can they go about overcoming those things to take that first step? (12:59) How does somebody go about taking the actions to clean up some of those toxic relationships in their life? (14:38) When did you feel like in your entrepreneurial journey you really embraced every aspect of who David Neagle is? (18:01) What are some of the things that you consistently do no matter what that leads to that type of growth internally, spiritually, emotionally, and externally in your physical world? (23:16) Were you born a great entrepreneur or did you create a great entrepreneur? (26:30) How did you go about building wealth? (29:34) When is it the right time to diversify a little bit and start investing out of my business additionally? (32:53) What keeps you with both hands on the steering wheel pushing the businesses forward that you're pushing forward? (36:50) In This Episode, You Will Learn: The bad event that shifted David's life. (01:46) How David changed things in life. (05:22) The 3 key characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. (06:00) The difference between a dysfunctional person and a toxic person. (15:24) 3 things that made his life a really big difference. (20:55) How to avoid your idea won't go away. (23:30) Quotes: “My whole life shifted.” “Life is short, you don't know when you're gonna go or nothing is certain.” “If you're gonna do anything, you better do it now.” “All good leaders are also good students.” “You have to really be willing to let go of the way you think it's opposed to working or you need to be right and follow something that actually does.” “If you don't create the right environment for yourself in which to succeed in, you won't.” “This is my life, I never going to know if I don't try.” “If you could own the failure and not be afraid of the failure, you're gonna win.” “Always get what you need when you need it.” “Everything that goes wrong and a lot of things will go wrong, there's something right about it.” “Everything is already here.” “Every level has new devils.” “Be careful not to let our idea roll us.” “I was born with a very adventurous spirit.” “I would never invest in something that I didn't understand not only the company but the psychology behind why it works.” “I know how to make money in my companies very very well.” “Being on entrepreneurial is something that's on fire in the world right now.” Connect with David Neagle on: The Successful Mind Podcast Website Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Instagram

Despite the safety record of commercial aviation, realistically, we're actually stepping into relics of the 1960s every time we board a plane. The technology of flight, from the deafening engines to the high fuel consumption, is all based upon knowledge and capabilities of a bygone era. If we're ordering our groceries with the help of voice-activated robots and driving cars with barely-audible engines, isn't it time for the aircraft we use to get a face-lift as well?Aside from the argument that it's long overdue, there are other, more pressing, considerations too. Fuel consumption, noise, and environmental impact, to name a few. Electrification has benefits to offer in each of those categories, but before we're able to board battery-operated commercial jets, we need to understand how electric fits into the bigger picture within aviation. Both the industry and consumers at large need to understand the technology, and we need to train pilots how to operate these cleaner, more modern machines. Today's guest is George Bye, Founder of Bye Aerospace. His background as a military pilot and in the private sector for big aviation players like Boeing led him to start his own forward-thinking aviation company. Also joining us today is Jim Forrester, Director of Design Engineering for Bye Aerospace. He'll share the design details that factor into electric-powered aircraft, and the advanced methods of digital design that get planes off the paper and into the air. In this episode, you'll hear about the early days of trying to sell the concept of electric flight when the technology seemed unthinkable. You'll learn how an electric plane operates, how design is affected by the battery, and the urgent need for trained pilots in the coming years. We'll also cover the long-term benefits of flying electric in terms of cost, energy consumption, and the decreased environmental impact. Some Questions I Ask:Where does aviation fit into today's economy and why is it important? (3:53)What kinds of reactions were you getting during early presentations of electric technology? Anna Sauceda taught for six years preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. She was then sought out by the East LA YMCA to develop child care programs, which led her to be selected as the first Latina in California to become an executive of a YMCA. After 10 years of service at the YMCA, she was then recruited by Telacu to become vice president of the Telacu foundation. Her expertise in fundraising and program management propelled the foundation to new heights for the next five years. In 2005. Anna and her husband Darrell made the decision to open their own construction company ACS group, better known as the Associated Construction Services group. I connected with Mike Vardy at the World Domination Summit in August, a worldwide gathering of remarkable people, and he is no exception.. Mike is a writer, speaker, podcaster and founder of Productivityist. He also manages to add a lot of humor and entertainment into the productivity space. Mike is a productivityist, or a productivity enthusiast. He enjoys studying the tools and habits of productivity, and he looks at the world differently because of it. Through the Productivityist blog and podcast, Mike is helping people stop “doing” productive and start “being” productive, by giving them the tools to start paying attention and setting the right intentions. We start our conversation about productivity discussing non-alcoholic beer and decaffeinated coffee. Seemingly tangential, body and energy are directly tied to productivity so I was interested to hear about his recent experiments in cutting both of these from his life. “I really enjoy finding ways to keep the rituals I have, but also do it in a way that's responsible and allows me to be the night owl that I am ... but not have those productivity spikes.” Mike sees most people getting stuck in a trap of doing just for the sake of doing, and that's not productive. “They'll basically go through the motions, they don't really segment out their to-do list, and as a result they end up with a fragmented to-do list.” They work haphazardly, trying to get as many things done as possible, until the day is done. Then they get home, wiped out, and do nothing. “The problem is, when we do that, we aren't moving forward with any kind of purpose.” At World Domination Summit, Mike talked about the idea of theming your work days, and the idea resonates with a lot of people. “Your calendar should be your overarching guide, but the details are in the to-do list.” What people tend to do is look at a given day, without giving it any meaning or purpose, then go through a checklist without intention. Mike doesn't like the idea of letting your schedule be your guide, or hyper scheduling, because it leaves no room for flexibility. If you theme your day and something unexpected comes up, like a last-minute coaching session, then you aren't lost when you get back to work. “I think there's some merit to giving themes to each day so you have an overarching focus, but when you hyper schedule yourself you run the risk of just completely falling off track, feeling overwhelmed and feeling that you haven't accomplished what you set out to do over the day.” It doesn't matter if you're a startup founder, working on your side hustle or a stay-at-home parent, theming your days can help you be productive. For someone who can't completely untether him or herself from their email, at least make it more manageable. Mike talks about the idea of Inbox Today. While many people try to get to Inbox 0, Mike tries to clear the backlog so that you only see email from today. Additionally, your inbox shouldn't be where you go to look for things. “It's a loading bay, not a warehouse” Mike has a system called Three Mail, where each email goes into one of three folders. It's a simple process: Set up folders for every day of the week that you want to deal with e-mails (if that's every day, that's fine). When you get an e-mail, decide what day you want to deal with it, and then move it to the appropriate folder. When you first sit down with your email on a given day, deal with the folder for that day first. Then, organize your backlogged emails again. Mike uses a number of physical and digital tools to improve his productivity: He believes that a digital task manager is a must in this day and age. “Your mind really is meant to be a factory and not a warehouse, so if you keep trying to store things in here you're just going to slow things down.” It's important to have a digital task manager for long term things, even if you're a paper person. Mike uses todoist, and Wunderlist is also simple and collaborative. He also uses Asana for team-based tasks. To maximize productivity, you may also want to track how long you spend on different tasks. To track how long you are spending on different websites, so you can see what is taking most of your time, RescueTime is a great tool. If you want to track where team members are spending their time, Time Doctor is a great tool. Mike also uses a device called Saent to track his time. It's a small button that you click to track how long it takes you to perform certain tasks, and it allows you to label websites as good or evil. Mike is beta testing a new product, called a ZIE. It is like an 8-sided die with blank sides, which you label. When you turn it to any given side, it starts tracking that time. It then integrates with a tool called Toggl. “I like both the Saent and the Zie, because it's physical. It sits on your desk. You can't help but see it. I think physical tools, like having those visuals in front of you, are really important, because, frankly, digital tools can hide in the background. This can't.” Mike isn't actually a diehard tracker, but he believes the tools can be helpful for putting yourself in a good, productive mindset. Your brain sees the day or time, sees what it should be doing, and everything outside of that can fall away. “Again, paying attention and setting the right intentions. These tracking tools, unless you have the right intentions for them and then you find a way to pay attention to them, they're not going to be as much help to you as you'd like them to be.” “I'm a big believer in human automation, the automation that you set up … I'm not as huge a believer in setting up a bunch of digital automations because they can break, and they're not as connected to you.” Productivityist recently self-published The Productivityist Playbook. It includes video interviews, audio and a number of productivity plays. When you buy the guide, you receive 15 plays, and you can assemble your own productivity playbook out of them. If listeners of the show go to Productivityist.com/TheBoldLife, they will get one play for free! (Thanks Mike!) “I'm a big believer that even when business isn't personal, productivity always is. I don't think there's enough talk about the personal component of productivity, and I really want to put the personal back into it. That's what this whole guide is designed to do.” Mike is probably the most entertaining person in the productivity space, and I appreciate him coming on the podcast to talk. He gave us a lot of great tips and tools for living a bold life with more attention and the right intentions. SOME QUESTIONS I ASK: Where are the biggest areas that Mike sees people struggling with their productivity? What are easy wins that people can implement into their life to get time back? Favorite tools to become more productive and track their productivity? What are Mike's favorite books for newbie Productivityists? IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL LEARN: How to avoid just going through the motions with your daily schedule. How to start each work day by paying attention and with the right intention.
