The brothers round out the Adventure Puzzler category with Ron Gilbert's The Cave, developed by Double Fine Productions and published by Sega in January 2013 for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360, and Steam. Pete and Tom were pleasantly surprised at Ant's recommendation this week. Ant enjoyed the cave's corny narration and Pete revealed his favorite puzzles were the ones where he had to be patient and do math. Pete also lists off some characters that didn't make it into the final game and continually refers to a sequel that was never made and almost certainly never will be. Director Ron Gilbert was also the co-founder of another game development studio, Humongous Entertainment, which focused on educational games geared towards kids in the 1990s. What was your favorite game from the studio? Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, Spy Fox, or the Backyard Sports Series. We're still stuck at home (well, some of us are), wondering how the closure of non-essential businesses is will affect not just giant video game retailers, but our home-grown favorite resellers, such as the eponymous Famicom Dojo. Sean and Vinnk recover from a failed live stream to ponder anew the physical vs digital question. In Future Retro we take a Journey, and Sean learns from Vinnk what Ron Gilbert was up to after his LucasArts days. The Canon is trying something new: individual canonizations on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and the entire, largely uncut pod on Friday. So, if you're into the whole brevity thing, the midweek pods will be perfect. If you prefer long pods on the beach, Friday drops will be for you. Vik, Jimmy and Jacob canonize the unsung hero of the Humongous Entertainment catalog: Backyard Soccer.

Putt Putt Joins the Parade 02. (Season -05 episode -05). Second episode of 1992's Putt Putt Joins the Parade, a Humongous Entertainment game, bought and played on my Android phone galaxy thing. I think this is a good episode! I always feel like these ones are going really badly while I'm recording, but then when I listen back they're fine! In this episode there was a tiny bit of the track Melody by Serge Gainsbourg, a bit of the song Who Got Da Bones by The Wiggles, and also a little bit of Chicken Huntin by Insane Clown Posse. Thank you.
Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise 03. (Season -04 episode -02). The third and final episode in the blah blah blah bluh Humongous Entertainment blah blah etcetera. The Game Boy is 25 years old this week, which means that Brad & Josh are feeling particularly nostalgic and depressed about aging. This week's trio discusses memories of the system, as well as our lives with it. There's also some news on both a Farscape film (which has Josh understandably excited) & a return of Humongous Entertainment (which has Josh confusingly excited).
