This week, we'll get lost in the mind boggling mystery that is the Dyatlov Pass case, when 9 experienced hikers died under suspicious and unexplainable circumstances while traversing Russia's Ural Mountains in 1959. When a group of ski/hikers led by 23 year old student Igor Dyatlov failed to return after a 3 week journey, search parties were sent. They quickly found the group's abandoned tent, cut open from the inside. Not long after that, the bodies were discovered. But the condition of the bodies raised more questions than it answered. No single theory adequately explains how the 9 hikers died. Was it an avalanche? Weapons testing by the Russian military gone wrong? A yeti??? When Russia reopened the investigation in 2019, Swiss avalanche researchers used an unconventional method to try to prove or disprove the avalanche theory. They reached out to the creators of Disney's animated film "Frozen" to get their snow animation code. What did their simulations tell us? Is it case closed for the Dyatlov Pass incident or does the mystery persist? The official investigation concluded that six of the hikers died from hypothermia, while the other three sustained fatal physical injuries, including severe chest trauma and a fractured skull1. Theories about what caused the incident range from avalanches and infrasound-induced panic to military tests and even UFOs.

The Dyatlov Pass incident (Russian: гибель тургруппы Дятлова, transl. "Death of the Dyatlov Group") was an event in which nine Soviet hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between February 1 and 2, 1959, in uncertain circumstances. The experienced trekking group from the Ural Polytechnical Institute, led by Igor Dyatlov, had established a camp on the eastern slopes of Kholat Syakhl in the Russian SFSR of the Soviet Union. Overnight, something caused them to cut their way out of their tent and flee the campsite while inadequately dressed for the heavy snowfall and sub-zero temperatures. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/ang189/support

On January  25, 1959, 23 year old Igor Dyatlov and nine others set off on a skiing and hiking expedition in the norther Ural Mountains in the Soviet Union. Two days in, one of the hikers left the expedition due to health issues. Before leaving, Dyatlov was told to send a telegram once he had returned to the town of Vizhai, which was supposed to happen by February 12. When the 12th of February came and went, there was no immediate panic, as it was common for telegrams to be delayed during the time. However, by February 20th, the hikers' families were demanding for a search party to be sent, with police and the Soviet army becoming involved as well. Searchers eventually found the group's tent. It was mangled and had been cut open from the inside. Footprints made by shoeless feet were found. At the bottom of a slope, two group members were found dead. Three more, including Dyatlov, were found dead. They barely clothed  and it seemed as if they were headed back to their campsite. In May, the other four were found dead near a ravine. Three of the four had fatal internal injuries that were so severe that they were comparable to injuries sustained in a bad car crash. Besides soft tissue damage from being submerged in water, there were no external injuries, causing confusion among investigators. Six members died of Hypothermia, while three died of severe internal injuries that are unexplained. The official cause of the incident is an avalanche, but many believe it was something else. Many in the area on the night of the incident reported seeing large orange spheres floating and falling from the sky. The Soviet government silenced those claims.

Nine experienced mountain climbers never returned from the Ural Mountains in February 1959. Led by Igor Dyatlov, the group mysteriously fled their campsite half dressed in the middle of the night and ran into heavy snow and sub zero temperatures. What caused them to flee and run into certain death? Were they attacked by locals or maybe a shadowy creature? Perhaps, they were the unlucky victims of a Soviet military test? My Grandfather Knew Untold Secrets of the Dyatlov Pass Incident - Reddit No Sleep StoryOn 1st February 1959, nine Russian hikers on the trek of a lifetime through the Ural Mountains pitched a tent and settled in for the night. Hours later, all nine fled the safety of the tent and perished in the freezing, snowy conditions. Some in the party succumbed to hypothermia, but others were found with grisly injuries. The 'Dyatlov Pass Incident', as it came to be known, has inspired so many dark and often outlandish potential explanations. Before delving into the most prominent theories, let's consider the facts of the matter. The group originally consisted of 10 highly experienced hikers who were – with one key exception – all students and recent graduates from the Ural Polytechnical Institute. The odd one out was Semyon Zolotaryov, a last minute addition to the group and, at 37, conspicuously older than the others. In the early stages of the trek, one member of the group dropped out due to ill health. The rest carried on, taking photos of each other larking about and recording diary entries that expressed their excitement about the adventure to come. “I wonder what awaits us in this trip?” one wrote. “What will we encounter?”Weeks later, a search party sent to locate the missing hikers found the remains of their tent on the side of a mountain called Kholat Syakhl. Inside were the hikers' boots, clothes, and maps, along with some food laid out, seemingly for a meal. The side of the tent had been slashed open from the inside – a sign of just how desperate they'd been to get out.Footprints made it clear the group had left the tent without any shoes. At the base of a nearby tree, next to an extinguished campfire, lay the corpses of21-year-old Yuri Doroshenko and 23-year-old Yuri Krivonischenko. Both had seemingly frozen to death but also exhibited burn marks and multiple abrasions. Not far away, lying in the snow, were the bruised bodies of the group's leader, 23-year-old Igor Dyatlov, and 22-year-old Zinaida Kolmogorova. It looked like both had been trying to return to the tent when they died. Some days after this, the body of 23-year-old Rustem Slobodin was also discovered. He had a fractured skull. The remaining hikers were found in a ravine near a shelter they'd attempted to carve out of the snow. Nikolay Thibeaux-Brignolle, a 23-year-old graduate, had a caved-in skull, while 24-year-old Aleksander Kolevatov had a deformed neck and was missing his eyebrows. The oldest hiker, Semyon Zolotaryov, and 20-year-old Lyudmila Dubinina had crushed chests with multiple broken ribs. Both were missing their eyes, and Lyudmila's tongue was gone.A criminal investigation was carried out by a prosecutor named Lev Ivanov, but it came to a cryptic conclusion. “The cause of their demise,” the report said, “was an overwhelming force which the hikers were not able to overcome.”Reddit True Crime Podcasts 2022 - Police Interrogations, 911 Calls and Unsolved Mysteries Reddit

January 27th, 1959 - 10 hikers, lead by the experienced outdoorsman, Igor Dyatlov, stare into the white abyss that was Sverdlovsk Oblast, otherwise known as “the gateway to Siberia”. After travelling by bus and train through the Ural Mountains, the final trek of their journey, reaching Otorten Mountain, was finally upon them. What they had worked so hard for was closer than ever. They packed up their supplies and departed the small village of Vizhay, the last official outpost and means of communication with the outside world, for the next two weeks. However, little did anyone know, that would be the last means of communication not for two weeks, but forever, for the hikers would experience unimaginable, overmastering terror, ultimately leading them to their deaths on February 2nd, 1959. Almost a month later, their tent site was finally discovered by search groups, eventually leading them to their bodies, their vessels of flesh, to be found… in very odd circumstances. To this day, the case remains unsolved, and the infamous mountain pass was named Dyatlov's Pass in honor of, Igor Dyatlov. Explanations range from ordinary to extraordinary; avalanche, windstorm, murder, bear attack, escaped prisoner, Infrasound, tiny tornadoes, death by nuclear waste, a secret government testing facility, radiation, mythical artic dwarves, Yeti, UFO's… just about anything you can think of. This week Danielle covers the mysterious Dyatlov Pass Incident. In 1959 nine Russian hikers ventured out to the Ural mountains but never made it back. The entire group was found dead by rescue teams who were notified of their disappearance. The hiking group, led by Igor Dyatlov, was found under strange circumstances. Some members of the group were found in their underwear in the snow. Others were found with unexplainable brutal injuries. Whatever happened to this group has been discussed for decades, and there continues to be no concrete answer to their cause of death. Later, Sandra talks about what a Fetch is. It turns out that in old Irish folklore a "Fetch" or as we would say doppelganger can be both a good open or a bad omen. Find out its connection to wraiths and we will discuss if a Fetch appeared in the pilot episode of Outlander. THE LADS™️ are back with Episode 34!And in this one THE LADS™️ are talking all things Dyatlov Pass!In short though the The Dyatlov Pass incident was an event in which nine Russian hikers died in the northern Ural Mountains between 1 and 2 February 1959, in uncertain circumstances. The experienced trekking group from the Ural Polytechnical Institute, led by Igor Dyatlov, had established a camp on the eastern slopes of Kholat Syakhl. During the night, something caused them to cut their way out of their tent and flee the campsite while inadequately dressed for the heavy snowfall and subzero temperatures. After the group's bodies were discovered, an investigation by Soviet authorities determined that six had died from hypothermia while the other three had been killed by physical trauma. One victim had major skull damage, two had severe chest trauma, and another had a small crack in the skull. Four of the bodies were found lying in running water in a creek, and three of these had soft tissue damage of the head and face – two of the bodies were missing their eyes, one was missing its tongue, and one was missing its eyebrows. The investigation concluded that a "compelling natural force" had caused the deaths. Numerous theories have been put forward to account for the unexplained deaths, including animal attacks, hypothermia, avalanche, katabatic winds, infrasound-induced panic, military involvement, or some combination of these..As per tradish of course though; the boys break this down in typical NOP fashion with some serious craic along the way

¿Caso Desclasificado?
