In a world where spiritual identity is loudly declared and power is constantly performed, what does real embodied authority actually look like? In this uncompromising episode of Inner Voice of Knowing, Kaye Doran explores the difference between authentic power and performative empowerment — and why true Queen and Goddess energy is recognised through presence, not proclamation. This is a return to truth beyond the shadow of belief systems. Kaye dismantles the modern performance of spiritual archetypes and speaks directly to the spiritual ego, language-based empowerment, and the quiet disappearance of initiation and elders. True authority, she explains, is not claimed through titles or social media declarations — it is forged through inner trials, emotional integration, and deep personal transformation. In this episode, you’ll explore: What embodied power really is beyond identity or performance• The difference between authentic authority and assertive language• Why true Queen and Goddess energy is never self-declared• Spiritual initiation and the loss of elder wisdom• Masculine and feminine energy as internal harmony• Speaking truth from frequency rather than force This episode is for those who know that real power is not announced — it is recognisedSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Most of us are searching for clarity in a world that feels increasingly uncertain. Not just answers about what to do next, but insight into who we are becoming. In this episode of The Inner Edge, Janet invites us into a thoughtful and grounded conversation about astrology, not as fortune-telling, but as a powerful tool for self-awareness, meaning, and conscious leadership.Astrologer Simone Butler joins Janet to explore why ancient wisdom systems like astrology are re-emerging right now, how Carl Jung used astrology in his clinical work, and why understanding our inner patterns can help us make wiser decisions in times of personal and collective change. This episode is an invitation to stay curious, expand your definition of critical thinking, and reconnect with the deeper intelligence guiding your life.In this episode:✅ Why astrology is about self-understanding✅ Carl Jung's connection to astrology and the collective unconscious✅ How unconscious patterns shape most of our behavior✅ What a birth chart really represents✅ The role of energy, cycles, and timing in personal growth✅ Why self-awareness is essential for conscious leadership today✅ How ancient wisdom supports modern reinvention✅ Staying open and curious instead of dismissive or fragmentedConnect with Simone:https://www.linkedin.com/in/simonebutler/ About Janet Ioli:Janet Ioli is a globally recognized executive advisor, coach, and leadership expert with over 25 years of experience developing leaders in Fortune 100 companies and global organizations. She created The Inner Edge—a framework, a movement, and a message that flips leadership from mere success performance to presence; from ego to soul. Send a textPressure finds you in baseball—the question is whether your mind helps or hijacks the moment. We pulled back the curtain on the inner voice that shows up with two outs and the game on the line, and shared a simple system to turn stinking thinking into calm, repeatable execution. Drawing on lessons from Ken Ravizza, Patrick Cohn, and the performance habits of pros, we translate sports psychology into crisp tools players can use today. We start with the two voices every athlete hears: the fear voice that says don't and the focused voice that says do. From there, we show how language drives pictures and pictures drive movement, why the brain doesn't process negatives well, and how specific, instructional cues like see it deep or soft hands free your body to do what training built. You'll learn how positive self-talk reduces anxiety and improves performance, and why chasing perfection in a sport of failure only feeds panic. Then we get practical. We map out between-pitch reset routines—breath, focal point, cue word—that keep attention anchored to this pitch instead of the last miss or the next worry. We cover simple swaps that matter under lights: don't chase becomes wait for your pitch; don't make an error becomes secure the catch. We tie mindset to leadership, showing how your body language sets the tone for the dugout and how neutral thinking stops negative spirals before they snowball. If you coach or play high school, travel, or college baseball, this is a blueprint for mental toughness you can practice like mechanics. Try one cue in your next practice, build a reset you trust, and watch pressure turn into clarity. There comes a moment in many leadership journeys when all the behaviors that once drove success—working harder, stepping in faster, proving competence—suddenly stop delivering the same results. You're still capable. Still committed. Still responsible. And yet, something feels off. In this episode, Janet explores that often-unspoken turning point and why it's not a failure, but a call to a deeper kind of leadership. This conversation is about the inner shift required as leaders move into higher levels of responsibility. Janet unpacks why leadership effectiveness evolves from visible execution to discernment, presence, and judgment, and how learning to pause, sense, and respond intentionally becomes a defining edge. This is an invitation to outgrow what no longer fits and lead from clarity instead of habit. In this episode:✅ Why working harder eventually stops being the answer✅ The invisible shift from execution to judgment at senior levels✅ How micromanagement often signals a deeper leadership transition✅ The power of pausing instead of reacting✅ Asking “What is needed here?” instead of “What should I do?”✅ The difference between habitual action and intentional response✅ How leadership presence deepens through discernment, not control✅ Why maturity in leadership often feels uncomfortable at firstAbout Janet Ioli:Janet Ioli is a globally recognized executive advisor, coach, and leadership expert with over 25 years of experience developing leaders in Fortune 100 companies and global organizations. She created The Inner Edge—a framework, a movement, and a message that flips leadership from mere success performance to presence; from ego to soul. Stephanie Banks is a highly sought-after intuitive channel, mentor and guide who helps people connect on the soul level. She channels from the perspective of any soul currently on the planet, souls on the other side, purely non-physical beings such as spirit guides, as well as trees, animals, and Gaia. Connection and communication are the common themes in all of Stephanie's professional endeavors as a speech-language pathologist, birth doula, lactation consultant, infant massage instructor, and intuitive channel. When her mother's dementia made verbal communication impossible, Stephanie found ways to communicate with her mother's soul. This was the beginning of her channeling journey. As a conscious channel, Stephanie is both the vessel to receive the messages as well as a guide to provide depth and context for the information coming through. She uses her keen sense of humor, love, and compassion to join her clients in their spiritual experience. Stephanie also mentors clients in discerning their own inner voice of wisdom, enhancing their confidence and self-trust, improving their relationships, clarifying their soul's purpose, and finding their laughter and joy. Author of the best-seller Joining Joanie – Staying Connected To Your Loved One Through Dementia And Beyond, Stephanie is currently completing her second book about her spiritual journey. In her TEDx talk I Am an Intuitive Channel, she shares her unexpected experience with channeling and invites others to discover their own intuitive gifts.

When self-criticism ramps up during eating disorder recovery, it can feel confusing or discouraging, especially when behaviors are beginning to change. This episode explores why that intensification is often part of the healing process rather than a sign that recovery is going wrong. In this solo episode, Dr. Marianne Miller explains why the inner critical voice often gets louder as eating disorder behaviors decrease and familiar control systems loosen. Instead of framing self-criticism as simply negative self-talk, this episode examines it as a regulatory strategy shaped by nervous system threat, social pressure, and internalized ableism. Internalized Ableism in Eating Disorder Recovery Recovery often collides with a world that expects bodies and minds to function efficiently, consistently, and quietly. In this section, Dr. Marianne names how those expectations become internalized as harsh self-judgment, especially for neurodivergent people, people with chronic illness, and those navigating long-term eating disorders. You'll hear how internalized ableism fuels self-criticism when recovery requires pacing, support, repetition, or accommodation, and why needing these supports does not mean recovery is failing. The Inner Critic and Nervous System Threat Many people try to argue with or silence self-critical thoughts in recovery. This episode explains why that approach often backfires and intensifies the inner voice instead. Dr. Marianne explores how the inner critic functions as a response to perceived threat and why understanding its role is more effective than trying to eliminate it. Responding to Self-Criticism Without Shame This episode offers compassionate, neurodivergent-affirming ways to respond to self-criticism without turning recovery into another performance. The focus is on reducing threat, supporting regulation, and loosening the critic's authority rather than suppressing it. A brief clinical vignette illustrates how self-criticism rooted in internalized ableism can show up even when healing is actively underway. Nonlinear Eating Disorder Recovery For people with long-term or chronic eating disorders, progress often looks different than expected. This section reframes recovery as a process that prioritizes safety, accommodation, and sustainability over efficiency or perfection. Loud self-criticism does not mean failure. It often signals that a system is reorganizing in response to change. A Gentle Reminder Recovery is not about proving you can function the way the world demands. It is about building a life that supports your nervous system, your needs, and your humanity. In this powerful and deeply grounded episode of Inner Voice of Knowing, Kaye Doran is joined by Alexandra Joy (AJ) — known as The Bush Philosopher — for a rare conversation on leadership that moves far beyond performance, power, and control. AJ shares her extraordinary journey from a 25-year corporate career inside boardrooms to a life shaped by land, Indigenous wisdom, and conscious leadership. After profound initiations in India, personal loss, and a stripping away of identity, AJ chose a radically different path — one rooted in presence, surrender, and connection rather than force. Together, Kaye and AJ explore what leadership looks like when it is lived as a conduit, not a costume. This episode weaves together:• Indigenous perspectives on leadership and learning• Surrender as a leadership strength, not a weakness• Why true leadership is built through presence, not authority• How nature reveals what no strategy ever could• The role of self-actualisation in sustainable cultures• Why conscious leaders create safety, not solutions AJ also speaks candidly about caring for her mother after a stroke, being shaped by unconditional love, and how being called to walk with Aboriginal elders transformed her relationship with land, listening, and leadership itself. Drawing on insights aligned with the work of David R. Hawkins, this conversation invites leaders, founders, and seekers alike to re-examine how power is truly held — and why the future of leadership depends on connection, humility, and inner coherence. This is not leadership theory. It is leadership lived. Yinz Are Good shares the *good* news going on out there and celebrates the good people who are making it happen: The people who are lifting others up, who are taking care of their neighbors, the people who are saying, “What can I do today to make our world a better place?”.Our guest today reached out to us from the other side of the country - from Idaho, to be exact - and boy, are we glad he did. Let's start with this: our guest's work has been recognized on Mike Rowe's Returning the Favor, CNN Heroes (where he was a Top 10 finalist!), NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, Good Morning America, The Today Show, People Magazine, and even American Ninja Warrior. His name is Luke Mickelson and his work is the nonprofit, Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP).What began as a single act of kindness has grown into a global nonprofit with a simple but powerful mission: “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town.”. Today, SHP has more than 400 chapters across 47 U.S. states and 4 countries. They build beds for kids who need them and wait until you hear how many beds they have made to date…it is astounding. Tressa had the great joy and honor of chatting with Luke via Zoom (she couldn't quite make it over to Idaho). This is a conversation about taking care of one another, about how listening to your inner voice - your gut - can propel you to new and unexpected chapters of your life, and about how saying “yes” to unexpected opportunities can literally change the lives of strangers. Send us a textWe all have an inner dialogue. But how often do we lead it?In this episode of Think Again & Be, we explore the biblical practice of speaking to the soul—training the inner voice to align with truth, faith, and joy rather than fear, anxiety, or circumstance.Building on the previous episode Thanksgiving by Faith, this conversation looks at how faith is voice-activated, how joy is cultivated from the inside out, and why Scripture repeatedly shows God's people talking to themselves before they speak to the world. From David encouraging himself in the Lord, to Jeremiah finding hope in the darkest moment, to Habakkuk choosing joy before the harvest, we see that transformation often begins with rightful self-talk.This episode is an invitation to reclaim your inner voice— to speak faith, remember truth, and create an atmosphere of joy that sustains life.Scriptures ReferencedPsalm 42:5; 43:5Lamentations 3:241 Samuel 30:6Habakkuk 3:16–19Psalm 91:2Joel 3:10Philemon 1:6–7Key ThemesFaith is voice-activatedSpeaking to the soulJoy as an atmosphere, not a moodAnxiety is not your identityTraining the inner voiceThanksgiving, praise, and joy as a cycleGet Your Hopes Up!@damiteninwww.bydami.comwww.tribalmarks.com
