Throughout our day-to-day lives, God always extends an invitation to see Him work around us and within us. In this message, Pastor Jason Ballard walks us through three powerful invitations from Jesus. First, we discuss how Jesus calls His followers to rest, drawing from His practices of withdrawing to quiet places. Next, we examine how Jesus involves His disciples in His ministry, emphasizing our role in God's work today. Finally, we reflect on Jesus as the Good Shepherd, who cares deeply for His flock and lays down His life for them. What Was I Made For? - Jason Ballard | The Gospel According to Mark | (Mark 10:13-31) June 16, 2024 Some have called The Gospel According to Mark a passion narrative with a long introduction, acknowledging that Mark gives a disproportionate amount of time to the final week of Jesus' life. We all need help—help from friends and help from Jesus to address the deepest need of the human heart. When you experience something that changes everything, you can't help but share it. As Jesus journeyed toward the cross and the tomb, different people along the way were invited to come and see. As his journey progressed, it became less clear what God was doing in the moment, but more clear to us today–clear that the invitation to come and see isn't just a physical one, it's a spiritual one. It's an invitation of forgiveness, hope, and freedom. It wasn't just news for a moment, but good news for all humanity. Good news for you, and it's definitely worth sharing.

11/27/2022 - Attitude of Gratitude - Rev. Jason Ballard (Luke 17:11-19)
Welcome to the Word Made Digital Podcast! --- Jason Ballard had his heart radically transformed by Jesus when he was a teenager and yet today he still has moments of struggling with his faith. If we're honest with ourselves, we all struggle and wrestle. We embrace the mysteries of God and the world and are left with questions. This is one of the motivations Jason had to begin his work with young people at Alpha Canada and still inspires him in his work serving the city of Vancouver at The Way Church. He also provides leadership for the Canadian Church Leaders Network, helping build a community for pastors from coast to coast. We're so thankful for Jason's honest approach to faith, gifts, pastoring and how to build a collective network that builds each other up. --- Learn more about The Way Church + CCLN: Instagram: @theway_vancouver Website: https://www.thewaychurch.ca/ Instagram: @churchleadersnetwork Website: https://www.ccln.ca/ --- Learn more about Word Made Digital: Website: https://www.wordmadedigital.com/ Connect with us on Instagram: https://tinyurl.com/fsycm98m Join our Facebook Group "Digital Church": https://tinyurl.com/hfwuecm9--- Thank you to our Season 9 sponsors: Compassion Canada: https://www.compassion.ca/ Canadian Bible Society: https://biblesociety.ca/ ServeHQ: https://servehq.church/ ---Music: "Good Morning" by Laxcity Musicbed Licensed

One billion homes. To put a dent in the global housing crisis, we need to build one billion homes in a lifetime and today we simply aren't solving the problem fast enough. To build the future, we must change the way we design and build for a world that will enhance human happiness and flourishing. The future starts with 3D printing. The technology that can create a more sustainable and beautiful world will be the same technology that helps us become a spacefaring civilization. Will cities of the future be built by robots and drones? Will humans colonize the Moon and Mars? In this SXSW Session, ICON's Jason Ballard discusses humanity's future and how architecture, design, robotics and sustainability can be in service to humanity and help us reimagine worlds.

Why are so many young people walking away from faith? Jason Ballard has given his life to answering that question and creating a fresh expression of the church in his home city of Vancouver, BC. Before planting a church in Vancouver, Jason was one of the pioneers of the Alpha Youth Series, opening conversations about Jesus with countless young people across the globe. Jason has been a guide to us over the years and one of the most formative voices into our vision for the future of the church. We ask him about his own process of deconstruction, reconstruction, and hope for the future of God's people. Good stuff.
When it comes to 3D printed construction ICON is the biggest company in the game. I got to sit down with their CEO & Cofounder Jason Ballard to dicuss their latest and greatest project House Zero designed by Lake Flato Architects and completely owned by ICON. Doing a project completely in house allowed ICON to pursue efficiencies and techniques to their hearts content rather than appeasing stakeholders like other construction projects often have to. The lessons learned from this project will benefit the affordable housing units they will be building this year and into the future. Today we meet Jason Ballard. Born female. Transitioned to a male. And is ready to help you understand why this is nothing to be uncomfortable about. With all of the changes happening in gender and identity, we go to one of the clearest vices I have met on the subject. Do not miss this chance to sit and understand. https://theacronymproject.com/
