The Kensington Philadelphia Drug Market, Real Story. If there is any place that captures the raw, unfiltered reality of America's drug crisis, it is The Kensington Philadelphia Drug Market. For decades, this neighborhood has been the epicenter of open-air dealing, addiction, and human suffering, an area where people lie on sidewalks, stumble through streets, and inject or smoke drugs in plain view. Sidewalks, parks, and alleys are littered with used needles. Crowds of people slump over, “nodded out,” as if frozen in time. Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. “It's something you have to see to believe,” one writer observed. “Whatever you've seen on Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, or the evening news doesn't even come close.” The intense episode now streaming on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and most every major Podcast platform. A Marketplace of Desperation Kensington offers something few other places in America do, product variety. Fentanyl, now responsible for most overdose deaths, saturates the scene. Meth and crack mix in for users looking to combine “uppers and downers.” Even retro drugs like PCP have made a return. One user told investigators his typical order was “three down, one hard”, fentanyl for the down, crack for the hard. The Kensington Philadelphia Drug Market, Real Story. Look for supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . This is the reality former Philadelphia warrant investigator Tristin Kilgallon witnessed firsthand. From the Streets to the Classroom Kilgallon, who grew up near Kensington, spent years navigating these streets as part of the First Judicial District's Warrant Unit. Once a frontline investigator tasked with tracking fugitives, he later left the unit to attend law school. He became a lawyer, then a criminal justice professor, teaching the next generation of justice professionals. “I loved the job, but the danger, the low pay, and the burnout, it wears you down,” Kilgallon explains. “Kensington changes you. You see things you can't unsee.” The Kensington Philadelphia Drug Market, Real Story. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. He now speaks openly about the realities he observed, not just in policing but also in higher education. “There's a lot of myth versus reality in the classroom,” he says. “And too often, the focus is on political indoctrination, not actual education.” The Book: A Real Story of Crime, Chaos, and Brotherhood Kilgallon co-authored the book Philly Warrant Unit with lifelong friend and fellow investigator Mark Fusetti. The two grew up on the same block, reunited professionally years later, and began working side by side in one of America's toughest fugitive-tracking units. “This book isn't a traditional cover-to-cover read,” Kilgallon says. “It's a collection of true stories, intense, funny, tragic, and real.” The authors share behind-the-scenes experiences: tense arrests, tragic overdoses, unpredictable street encounters, and the kind of dark humor only law enforcement veterans understand. Their stories paint an unfiltered portrait of policing Philadelphia during a period when Kensington's drug market became a billion-dollar enterprise and a global symbol of urban decay. His interview can be found on The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, on Apple podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and across most podcast platforms where listeners crave authentic law enforcement stories. Kensington: A Neighborhood Consumed Kensington was once a thriving industrial hub. When factories shut down during the 1960s and deindustrialization hollowed out the area, poverty, abandonment, and neglect took root. Vacant factories became havens for dealing and drug use. The Market-Frankford Line offered easy access. By the late 1990s, Kensington had become the place to buy heroin on the East Coast. As Kilgallon puts it: “The drug market didn't just appear, it grew like a parasite. And it's been feeding off the neighborhood for generations.” The full podcast episode is streaming now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Today, fentanyl, xylazine, meth, and crack dominate. Doctors and treatment centers struggle to help people addicted to substances that often leave them disfigured or near death. Residents face homelessness, encampments, violence, and crushing economic inequality. “Kensington has become the Las Vegas of Drugs,” Kilgallon says. “It's shocking, but it's the truth.” The Kensington Philadelphia Drug Market, Real Story. A Real Story Worth Hearing Kilgallon's firsthand insights, on policing, addiction, community collapse, and the failures of both policy and academia, make him a powerful voice in conversations about Kensington's future. His Real Story matters because it cuts through the political noise and media sensationalism. Whether you've seen snippets on X, listened to interviews on Apple Podcasts, streamed discussions on Spotify, or followed the dialogue on LinkedIn, one thing is clear: Kensington's crisis is not just a headline. It is a human story. A community story. A story with no easy answers. And as Kilgallon's book, career, and commentary show, the only way forward is through honesty, accountability, and a willingness to face the streets as they truly are. Vice President Harold Cunliffe with The Pacific Group joins the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast to dive into the real estate development business, founding The Pacific Group and more. Cunliffe joins host Carol Morgan on the tenth guest on the Legends of Real Estate series. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Cunliffe earned a degree in civil engineering and went on to work for several construction companies with real estate developer clients. Seeing the wealth of these developers (think Rolex and Mercedes), Cunliffe was inspired to go down the same path. After accruing some savings, he purchased a small piece of property to begin amassing his wealth. During this experience, he became familiar with zoning, development regulations and many other things, and started to realize the real estate business is far from simple. Situated in British Columbia in the 80s, Cunliffe was front row to a commodity boom and a market flooded with cash. Cunliffe said, “It was pretty easy for me to stumble into this particular real estate deal, pull it off and make a bunch of money.” As he was doing this, he worked for a construction company where the boss acted as his mentor, aiding him along the way. During development, Cunliffe was able to get a sewer line attached to his property, allowing him to transfer from one unit per acre to two units per acre. Luckily at the time, lot values were increasing by the thousands. Lots Cunliffe intended on selling for $30,000 became worth $80,000 in value. Seeing the incredible increase in value, Cunliffe's boss congratulated and terminated him, forcing him to complete the real estate transaction and search for another job. At this time, the commodity market crashed, and jobs were scarce. A friend and company partner, Mike Kilgallon, attended the University of British Columbia with Cunliffe and went into business with him. Eventually, the two also went broke together. Kilgallon was able to secure employment with a Canadian developer in the Los Angeles market and ran into some partners in Texas with access to savings and loan (S&L) money by chance. The meeting prompted the partners to ask Kilgallon to open an Atlanta office. Cunliffe said, “At that time, Atlanta had created 100,000 jobs, and I knew that should equate to about 60,000 housing starts. But at that point, Atlanta was only doing 20,000, so there was a big lack of supply and a big demand.” After looking around, Cunliffe secured a 200-acre piece of land in Roswell for $12,000 per acre. Cunliffe quickly secured citizenship and went to work before the S&L crisis. At this time, Kilgallon's Texas partners had gone under while Cunliffe formed The Pacific Group. A big fan of the analogy “you have to keep swimming,” Cunliffe believes it's key to keep your nose above water as a real estate developer. Becoming involved, positioned and furthering your education is a crucial part of the business. Cunliffe said, “There's going to be a low tide. You're going to get down there and be able to pick up all the treasure. All you have to do is pick it up and get to shore as fast as possible. Don't go back in the water when it's high tide again because you'll lose all your treasure. That's what happened to me three times.” After operating in metropolitan Atlanta for a time, a partner in Texas with access to S&L money approached Cunliffe's team with a deal. The partner would front the funds if his team handled the deals, resulting in a 50/50 split. When the S&Ls ran out of money in 1992, the Resolution Trust Corporation searched for people to complete the projects to return as much money as possible to the FDIC. The managers of the Resolution Trust Corporation recognized that Cunliffe and Kilgallon were not discredited borrowers and tasked them with finishing real estate projects. This resulted in the duo entering into a forbearance agreement that stated the two were to pay off the corporation with a certain amount of money o...

Owen and Josh welcome professional comedian, actor, and dad Joe Kilgallon to the show to talk about all things Hollywood, comedy, and famous people who became apart of his everyday life. You can find links to his content at the end of the show notes. The conversation got started with Owen asking Joe if he cried when his kids were born. This was a topic in Joe's stand up special, and he explains that although he didn't cry, he has noticed changes in his approach to comedy and life in general. Crying during movies happens now! The guys also talked about Kilgallon's experiences at The Laugh Factory in Chicago and Hollywood, where he texted a fellow comedian to stall for him so he could get his shot, which allowed him to go viral and allow the world to see how talented he was. While he was living in Los Angeles, Kilgallon worked as a producer on the MTV show Ridiculousness. He talked about his daily workflow while on the show, which followed his time with Daniel Tosh on Tosh.0. Additionally, Vince Vaughn was his boss…no big deal. He also talked about times where he was in awe at some of the beauty that exists in LA. Two names being Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Aniston. Despite those instances, Joe said that those A-List celebs became an everyday thing and he was never really star struck meeting them. It just wasn't a big deal. Okay, the laser tag match against Vince Vaughn was, though. Owen and Josh asked Joe about his comedic approach to jokes, stand up, and how he handles hecklers. They discussed times he failed, and times he absolutely crushed his sets. An action-packed show to say the least that will leave you skipping your ab workout for the day. It seems like on an almost daily basis, we hear talk about data and privacy. Stolen data, privacy breaches, data mining….the list goes on! But what does it all mean? Are the likes of Facebook, Google, and Amazon really stealing our data? And is Apple the only good egg among them all? How can we protect our data if we don’t understand what’s really going on? I reached out to a good friend who just so happens to be an expert in the field, Bill Kilgallon. We try to shed some light on the truth about what data actually is, how companies actually use it (the good and the bad), and hopefully clear up some of the fear and confusion that's often caused by stories repeated in the media. Kicking off our "In Focus" series I recently visited Fit Kicks Gym in Mohill and it's owner Paul Kilgallon. We discuss his twenties where he piled on weight and really struggled with his fitness. An incident with his year old son Jamie when he wasn't fit enough to catch him as he ran directly towards the lake when playing in the park saw him get in shape over three years. He had done real damage to his waistline after a decade of drinking, eating and gambling his way through his twenties without any major exercise. Mainly to get away from the gang related attacks that had claimed an innocent bystanders life in a drive by shooting in his neighbourhood in Dublin, Paul moved himself and his wife, Martina, to Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan as part of his work with Paddy Power he found himself made redundant in 2009 with a newly pregnant wife. After an extended period of unemployment he took on an opportunity to get back to work with a Community Employment Scheme with the Local Sports Partnership in Leitrim he got himself back on track. One fateful morning in April 2017 where his family lost their grandfather and sister in the space of a single hour resulted in a renewed focus in his life, moving away from running fitness classes from the back of his car to the establishment of his permanent facility in Mohill which has gone from strength to strength.
