Richy and Terri send a check to their son and daughter-in-law for their anniversary, but it never arrives. After a tough year of medical issues and the death of a close friend, they open a bank statement to see that their account is $10,000 short. They learn that a criminal has stolen their check from the mail, "washed" it, and fraudulently cashed it for big bucks. This sends the couple on a monthslong quest to try to get their money back.

Der 51-Jährige hat letzten Oktober mit seiner Familie den Zürichsee gegen die windige Hauptstadt Neuseelands getauscht. Wellington gilt als Zentrum der neuseeländischen Filmindustrie. Die spektakuläre Natur dient als Kulisse für Grossproduktionen wie «Herr der Ringe» und in den Filmstudios entstehen Blockbuster wie «Avatar». Regisseur James Cameron liess sich sogar einbürgern und ist jetzt ein Neuseeländer. Genau hier im kreativen Schmelztiegel der Hauptstadt will Richy als Filmemacher Fuss fassen und seine neue Chance nutzen: «Die Filmindustrie ist hier viel offener und neugieriger für Ideen.» Haus am Meer Richy und Carly Hafner leben mit ihren beiden Kindern Riley und Jonah in Eastbourne, einem kleinen Vorort in der Bucht von Wellington. I've been thinking a lot lately about why some athletes can train well but struggle to express it on race day. This conversation with Richy Bennett on the Run Culture Podcast goes deep into that space. Richy hails from Torquay, Victoria and is a highly respected performance psychologist turned mentor. Richy has spent years working with elite performers- Olympic athletes and professional surfers. He brings a grounded understanding of how the mind and body actually work under pressure. No hype. No mental gymnastics. Just awareness, breath, and trust. We talked about performance anxiety and why it's not something to eliminate, but something to understand. About breathing as a way to settle the nervous system before a race. About how perfectionism can slowly drain the joy and freedom from sport. And about recovery — not just physically, but mentally. One of the big themes was mastery versus control. The idea that great performances aren't forced — they're created. And when things don't go to plan, the best athletes know how to respond without spiralling. With J3 taking a short summer break at the moment, it seemed like the ideal time to record our latest J-Talk: Short Corner J3 Special for 2025!
