Send us a textSteph sits down with writer, academic, and fellow ADHD-er Wendy Robinson to talk about how she wrote an entire novel in six months—while working full time and managing ADHD. This is a must-listen whether you're a writer, a creative, or just someone juggling a big project with a neurodivergent brain. Spoiler: it's not about willpower—it's about systems, self-compassion, and knowing your brain.Wendy wrote her novel in 6 months (!), thanks to structure, support, and knowing what works for her ADHD brain. They talk about the real executive functioning challenges that come with ADHD and how women especially are impacted.Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) is real and so relatable—especially when launching creative work into the world.Steph and Wendy bond over the “good girl” ADHD diagnosis story—how so many women go undiagnosed because they weren't disruptive, just “daydreamy” and perfectionistic.Wendy shares her systems for getting big projects done: think writing retreats, body doubling at coffee shops, and her trusty “go bag.”The Parking Lot and Forward Only strategies are game-changers for staying focused and avoiding perfection paralysis. Why many ADHD women procrastinate by being too productive—but only for other people.Writing accountability groups are magic. External motivation > internal guilt. How Wendy redefined success: It's not about the book deal. It's about keeping promises to yourself and finishing the damn manuscript.Substack, querying, and how to cope when rejection stings like a wasp.“You don't have to do it. But you'll regret it if you don't.” —On choosing your pain and finishing creative work.

Sara is the founder and executive director of Food Strong, a non-profit connecting kids with food since 2016. Sara and her staff work with the Cleveland Municipal School District and other inner-city schools to provide hands-on learning experiences in gardening, nutrition, and entrepreneurship. Recently, Food Strong's mission to educate, empower, and cultivate health through fresh foods just got a significant boost. Community Greenhouse Partners recently gifted them a three-acre farm site on Superior Avenue in Cleveland's east side. The property includes a historic house, church, food forest, farmland, and hoop houses that Food Strong is transforming into its Superior Farm. This neighborhood hub will support food sovereignty, climate resistance, and community connections. An estimated $5 million is needed to realize her vision for the property, along with the help of thousands of volunteers and neighbors. This extraordinary project is urban restoration at its best, feeding bodies, minds, and souls. Join us as we speak with Sara about this project, the wisdom of kids, Food Strong's work, and ways you can help. Our Guest:Sara Continenza, Founder and Executive Director of Food StrongLearn More:About Food StrongAbout The Superior Farm Fix-Up ProjectDonate to Food Strong's Farm ProjectBecome a SupporterVolunteer EveningsFood Strong's ProgramsFollow Food Strong on Facebook and InstagramFollow us: https://www.facebook.com/ecospeaksclehttps://www.instagram.com/ecospeakscleContact us:hello@ecospeakscle.com

Hi Guys! Welcome to the show! In today's episode, I'm sharing how syncing your tasks with your natural 28-day cycle can make decluttering (and life) a whole lot easier. Now, let's talk about syncing your tasks with your 28-day cycle, based on the book "In the Flow" by Alisa Vitti. Here's a quick overview of the four phases of your cycle and how to use them to get more done: 1. Follicular Phase: Great time for planning and starting projects. 2. Ovulatory Phase: Ideal for physical tasks, like decluttering. 3. Luteal Phase: Focus on wrapping up and handling details. 4. Menstrual Phase: Perfect for rest, reflection, and journaling. By aligning your tasks with your natural energy, you'll reduce stress, feel more productive, and get more done. It's all about working *with* your body's rhythms instead of against them.
