(The Center Square) – Right before leaving for its week-long August recess, the U.S. Senate passed a minibus Friday evening containing three out of the 12 annual government funding bills. The package allocates more than $153 billion for military construction and Veterans Affairs in fiscal year 2026 alone, $27 billion for agriculture and rural development, and $2.2 billion for the Legislative branch. More than 80 senators ultimately voted for the minibus. Appropriations bills are typically passed individually. With Congress poised to pass a minibus package of funding bills on Friday (March 8), the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission is celebrating the inclusion of several provisions, while lamenting the exclusion of others. Tara Dew emphasized the profound truth that believers are children of God, having direct access to Him. Donald Trump romps in Idaho winning all 32 delegates on Saturday. He continued his winning ways in Missouri where he picked up 100% of the delegate vote there. He also secured the remaining 39 delegates in Michigan. Nikki Haley picked up zero delegates over the weekend and also said she would not back the RNC pledge if Donald Trump is the nominee. Congress is looking at voting on two Minibus deals to avoid a Government shutdown and DHS Secretary Mayorkas blames Texas Governor Abbott for all of the trouble of illegal aliens in the country.
