It's Thursday, November 6th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Nigerian Muslims killed pastor, kidnapped 20 church members Nigerian Fulani Muslim assailants killed a pastor and nine Christians over the past week. On October 28, Muslim Fulani bandits killed Rev. Yahaya Kambasaya and kidnapped 20 of his church members in central Nigeria. In a neighboring state, militants killed nine Christians in a string of attacks between October 31 and November 3. A Christian attorney in the area told Morning Star News, “These incidents occurred even when they were preceded with an early warning alert given to relevant authorities.” Hamas returns body of American hostage Hamas, the Palestinian Muslim terrorist group, returned to Israel the body of the last American hostage it was holding in Gaza on Tuesday. Itay Chen was a 19-year-old Israeli-American soldier. He was killed and taken hostage during the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio posted on X, “We honor his life, mourn his loss, and stand by his family.” Muslim socialist Zohran Mamdani elected as New York City mayor In the United States, Democrats won several elections after voters went to the polls on Tuesday. Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic socialist, won the race for mayor of New York City, and gave his victory speech Tuesday night. MAMDANI: “The sun may have set over our city this evening, but as Eugene Debs once said, (cheering) ‘I can see the dawn of a better day for humanity.' (cheering) “For as long as we can remember, the working people of New York have been told by the wealthy and the well-connected that power does not belong in their hands. Fingers bruised from lifting boxes on the warehouse floor, palms calloused from delivery bike handle bars, knuckles scarred with kitchen burns. These are not hands that have been allowed to hold power. And yet, over the last 12 months, you have dared to reach for something greater. (cheering) Tonight, against all odds, we have grasped it. (cheering) The future is in our hands. (cheering) “My friends, we have toppled a political dynasty.” (cheering) He is now the first Muslim mayor of the biggest U.S. city, who beat former Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo. NBC News reported that Zohran Mamdani got 50.4% of the vote, former Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo got 41.6%, and Republican Curtis Sliwa got 7.1% On CNN, conservative commentator Scott Jennings explained who Eugene Debbs was whom Mamdani quoted with great admiration. JENNINGS: “He started his speech by quoting Eugene Debs, who ran for president of the United States five times as the Socialist Party of America candidate. “He went after everybody that he thinks is a problem. People who own things, people who have businesses. He said an interesting quote, ‘No problem too large for government to solve.' And so, when you think of the world that way, that every problem is something for government to do, let me just decipher this for you. “Tax increases as far as the eye can see which means the people who need to provide jobs, to the young people that you say need jobs, are going to flee as quickly as they possibly can. “He clearly sees the world in terms of the people who are oppressing you and the oppressed. And he said, ‘The oppressed are now in city hall.'” Democrat victories in other blue states There were two other notable Democratic victories. Democrat Abigail Spanberger won the race for governor of Virginia with 56.3%, becoming the first woman to do so, reported NBC News. She beat Winsome Sears, who got 43.2% of the vote, and served as the Republican Lt. Governor under the term-limited Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin. And Democrat Mikie Sherrill won the race for governor of New Jersey with 56.3% of the vote, keeping the position in the hands of Democrats, and beating Republican Jack Ciattarelli. Vice President J.D. Vance responded to the elections on X. He said there's no reason to “overreact to a couple of elections in blue states.” But he also added, “We have to do better at turning out voters than we have in the past.” Republican leaders prayed for America Republican leaders and lawmakers joined with the Family Research Council for a time of prayer last Thursday. Listen to the opening comments from Tony Perkins, the president of Family Research Council. PERKINS: “Jesus said this in Matthew chapter 18:19. “He says, ‘Again, I say to you, if two of you agree on Earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name, there I am among them.' “So tonight, we gather with the recognition that we need God's help. We gather in the name of Jesus to pray and ask for His hand, the Lord's hand of guidance, the Holy Spirit to lead us.” And listen to some of the closing prayer from Dr. Ben Carson, former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. CARSON: “Lord, we come before you today to pray for our nation. You have blessed the United States with freedom and opportunity and a rich legacy of faith. Please restore the righteousness in our homes, integrity in our institutions, unity among our people. “And thank You for Your abundant blessing, Lord. You're bringing us together this evening through electronic media. But we know You're with us always. And we ask, in the name of Jesus, that you would bless us and bless this nation. Amen.” Vatican rejects Mary, mother of Jesus, as co-Redeemer On Tuesday, the Roman Catholic Church rejected Mary, the mother of Jesus, as the “co-Redeemer” of the world. The Vatican's top doctrinal office stated, “Any gaze directed at her that distracts us from Christ or that places her on the same level as the Son of God would fall outside the dynamic proper to an authentically Marian faith.” However, World Magazine notes the statement does not affirm a Protestant perspective on Mary. The Evangelical publication wrote, “Protestants believe Mary was ‘highly favored' by the Lord, but they do not believe she has an active role in the lives of believers.” 1 Timothy 2:5 says, “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” Construction begins on Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer And finally, constructions begins this week on what is set to be the largest Christian monument in the United Kingdom. It's called the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer. The design for it is in the shape of an infinity loop called a Möbius strip, a surface which has neither beginning nor end. It will stand 170 feet tall and made out of one million bricks. Each brick will be linked to a story of answered prayer. Already, Christians have submitted 120,000 stories from 125 countries. Richard Gamble, the project's founder, said, “This is the moment to build a landmark of hope… a lasting testimony to the power of prayer, preserving the Christian heritage in our nation.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, November 6th, in the year of our Lord 2025. This week, beloved Bible teacher and speaker Lisa Harper shares her perspective on how she traded theological study for a personal God experience and began seeing the Bible as a love story. She stresses showing up to God just as you are—imperfections and all—illustrated by a story of shared heartache. Then, we’ll hear from Richard Gamble, the founder of the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer in the United Kingdom, which is set to open in the fall of 2027. Richard shares the vision behind the largest Christian landmark in Britain, which will contain one million bricks, each one containing a scannable QR code which will reveal someone’s answered prayer. Theology at its core is relational. It’s less about accruing data about who God is and it’s more about developing an intimate relationship with Jesus.” - Lisa Harper “When you think of the Bible as a rule book, or that it’s primarily about biblical ethics, then it becomes punitive—it’s something I have to get right. When you see it as primarily a love story, then everything changes.” - Lisa Harper “If you look at all of Scripture, including the Old Testament, through a socio-historical context, you’ll see this ongoing theme of a good God who’s always in the process of redeeming our inherent dignity as His children.” - Lisa Harper “All of us experience exquisite loneliness, but that also shows we are hardwired for relationship.” - Lisa Harper “Jesus Christ, the Son of God, He chose to be accessible to us, to be near to us when our lives feel crushed, to get the residue of our heartache on His personhood. He doesn’t just love me because it’s His duty. He delights in me.” - Lisa Harper “How kind is our God. It’s His mercy that leads us to repentance.” - Lisa Harper “Whatever you do, don’t believe the lie that you have to clean yourself up first before you turn back to God. Bring everything to the Lord, even your disappointment, even the places where you’re stuck. Then ask Him to restore unto you the joy of your salvation, and He will.” - Lisa Harper “My own prayer life has changed so much because I don’t worry about if I sound spiritual. I just want to be closer to my Redeemer. Some days that doesn’t look pretty. Some days, that’s really, really messy. But He says, ‘Bring me everything.’” - Lisa Harper “The first thing I did was to speak the dream. I think that’s an important step—when God gives you a vision, to actually speak it out to others.” - Richard Gamble “If God has given you a dream, the success of that dream is not limited to your ability. The success of the dream is just predicated on whether God has chosen it to be. If God is behind a dream, everything is possible.” - Richard Gamble “Ultimately, what we want people to do is to find stories that inspire them to go on their own personal journey to find Jesus, the God who answers.” - Richard Gamble “You can overcome by sharing your testimony with somebody.” - Richard Gamble “The more those overwhelming moments come, if you are grounded in that truth of who God is daily, you don’t get the anxiety, you don’t get the fear—it bounces off you because you know the truth.” - Richard Gamble ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel! Researched and presented by former Vicar of Marown, Rev'd David Bush, each episode told the story of a particular church or chapel on the Island - with David in conversation with the present minister or vicar, and with some members of the congregation.Today we delve into the archives to listen again to the story of Bride Parish Church, dedicated to St Brigid - as Rev'd David Bush talks to Canon John Sheen, the Rector of Bride in the 1980's, and parishioner Mrs Mary Weller. And together with our usual notice board, there's some very varied music this week! The beautiful prayerful hymn 'O God you search me and you know me' - with words and music by Bernadette Farrell, and based on Psalm 139A 'first' for the programme - the first time we've featured music for worship from Ed Sheeran -Jesus, lift my soulAnd A Hymn to St Brigid - words by Mother Cecilia (1863-1902) and music by Jack Oades - Jack will be remembered as a former organ scholar at the Cathedral in Peel. Stories Series: Testify to Glorify with Richard Gamble Psalm 96:3 (NIV) "Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples." Richard Gamble is the founder and visionary behind Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, the world's largest database of hope stories. Aspiring to make hope visible and renew faith in prayer, Gamble first had the idea for the inspirational structure in 2004 when he was carrying a cross around Leicestershire at Easter to lead people to think about Jesus. He prayed over the idea for ten years until 2014, when he felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit to begin acting upon it. Gamble has spent many years rallying support for the Eternal Wall, a process which has tested his humility and obedience to follow God's will. Having successfully garnered hundreds of partnerships who want to see the unique project come to fruition, the iconic monument will be a legacy project, future-proofed to inspire and engage generations, supporting them in their spiritual journey. A Christian since 1990, Gamble studied at Bible college before working for British Gas. He eventually left the corporate world to make his mark in entrepreneurship, co- founding both a software business and a marketing consultancy. With a love for soccer, he became CEO of Sports Chaplaincy UK, and was former chaplain of Leicester City Football Club (before they were famous and won the Premiership). I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Ephesians 2:8–10 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God‘s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.“ Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.“ Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

On this episode of Flourish-Meant, Tina Yeager welcomes guest Richard Gamble, the visionary behind the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, a monumental piece of public art revealing how Jesus has answered a million personal prayers. It will be the largest database of hope stories in the world. Having the idea in 2004, God gave him the go-ahead to launch in 2016, and for the past four years, Richard has shared the incredible concept all around the UK, rallying people behind the belief that one individual's answered prayer can be another person's hope. After becoming a Christian in 1990 Richard studied at bible college and then worked for British Gas before leaving the big corporate world to make his mark in entrepreneurship, co-founding both a software business and a marketing consultancy. With a keen love of football, he became CEO of Sports Chaplaincy UK, and was former chaplain of Leicester City Football Club (before they were famous and won the Premiership!). Richard shares his personal practice of overcoming fear and despair by visualizing a storm of worries on his left and Jesus on his right. He encourages listeners to donate to eternalwall.us, a website where people can share their stories of answered prayers. Richard believes that these stories, written, audio, or video, will inspire future generations. He reminds listeners to place their hope in God, recounting experiences where God has provided and healed. Richard also discusses the importance of physical reminders of God's faithfulness, using personal stories and examples from the Bible. Through personal anecdotes and scripture, Richard and Tina emphasize the power of faith and hope in overcoming challenges and finding healing. Richard defines Psalm 77 as a life hack for dealing with fear and despair. He candidly shared his own experience of waking up in the middle of the night and battling fear. To calm these fears, Richard personally practices a visualization technique where he envisions the storm of worries on his left and Jesus on his right. Recalling past instances where God has provided and healed has been instrumental in finding peace during these moments. Moreover, Richard emphasized the importance of hope and where we choose to place it. Coping with fear involves seeking peace from Jesus and anchoring ourselves in the things God has said to us. Throughout the episode, Richard shared incredible stories of answered prayers that have built his faith and helped him combat fear. Inspired by the concept of passing down and telling these stories to future generations, Richard conveyed his vision for the eternal wall of answered prayer. This monumental piece of public art, the size of a football field, will comprise a million bricks, each representing a story of hope related to Jesus. Visitors will be able to scan any of the bricks with their phones and learn about the inspiring stories inscribed upon them. The underlying goal is to offer hope to those who drive past the monument and inspire them to seek God. Intrigued by Richard's journey and his inspiring project, the eternal wall of answered prayer, we invite you to learn more about it by visiting the website eternalwall.us. You can be part of something that will last for 100 years and impact future generations. Share your own stories on the website, whether through written, audio, or video formats. Richard's story of battling an incurable disease in his spine for over 22 years, only to experience healing, reminds us that God is still listening and can do anything. Let us choose to focus on God's truth rather than facts, for there are over 100 scriptures encouraging us to proclaim the goodness of God in our lives. We are grateful to have had Richard Gamble on the show, revealing his journey, insight, and passion for inspiring hope through shared stories of answered prayers. We hope that you, our Flourish-Meant community, can take five minutes of your time to impact future generations and join us in spreading hope through the eternal wall project. Gamble speaks about his project to erect an immense monument to prayers that God has answered, both in history and recently, in England. ONE MILLION ANSWERED PRAYERS DOCUMENTED You got to know about what is happening in England ... An amazing interview with England's Richard Gamble https://www.eternalwall.org.uk/
Leftists often accuse Pro Life Christians or Christian Nationalists of being involved in a “civil religion” in which they fuse religion and politics in a way that compromises the church. The truth is, there is a civil religion but the Left is not only complicit in it, in some ways they've created it. Dr. Richard Gamble from Hillsdale College explains what American Civil Religion is and where it comes from. A message from our powerhouse 24hr prayer gathering held at Gas Street Church.
Richard Gamble believes God has given him a mission: to build a huge national monument, made from a million bricks, each representing an answered Christian prayer. It seems an impossible task for a sports chaplain who has no experience of construction. And yet over the past eight years, he's managed to pull together a project team, raise thousands of pounds and launch a global design competition with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). But before a single brick can be laid, they need to secure a site to lay it. Richard hopes lie in the Edmistons - a family multimillionaires and evangelical Christians, who own extensive land in the West Midlands. Will his hopes be realised? Will he find a home for the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer? Producer: Becca Bryers

Making humanistic education democratic and freely available was its downfall, at least in the eyes of Albert Jay Nock, as he discusses in The Theory of Education in the United States. Taking a cue as well from Plato's Republic, Jonathan and Ryan address the apparent tension between the excellence of the tradition and the equalitarian, democratic mores of American life. You know obedience to God offers us a tough but exciting path to take. Sometimes it involves giving things up, sometimes it involves taking on something new. My guest today is a man who was good at the hard subjects at school: maths, physics, that kind of thing; he’s a clever guy and he could, perhaps, have worked his way through to becoming an astronaut. But God had other ideas, and the calling for my guest was not to mathematics, engineering, and the stars but rather to creativity and to music, and to the glory of God. My guest today is Dave Silber, the man who founded the Nexus Institute of Creative Arts an organisation that teaches and forms Christian musicians and technicians for service in the Kingdom of God. Dave is also the Chief Operating Officer for the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, whose leader Richard Gamble was featured in episode 18. The Eternal Wall of answered prayer is a physical monument to answered prayer, from the past and present day, and it will located near Coventry in England. The Eternal Wall project would appreciate your support, especially if you are listening to this podcast between 13th September and October 22nd 2021 when there will be a crowdfunding campaign. You can find out more at www.eternalwall.org.uk But this is Dave’s story, a man who through faith and perseverance likes to say and live by one of his favourite phrases: “There must be a way”.
My guest for this episode is someone who has spent nearly twenty years faithfully pursuing what seems like an impossible task. He is following a calling from God to build a piece of public art in England that will be a visible demonstration of God’s answers to prayer. The Eternal Wall of answered prayer, or Eternal Wall as it’s referred to is designed in the shape of a Mobius band, an infinity loop that will stand over 50 metres tall and contain over 1 million bricks. Each of these bricks will represent an answered prayer and visitors to the Eternal Wall will be able to access the story for each prayer, and search for answered prayers on different themes and issues. So who is the guy behind this project, what are the challenges he has had to overcome? How has Jesus been his companion on this journey and what lessons has Jesus taught my guest along the way? These are important questions for a man who believes that the journey we take as we seek God in prayer is actually more important than the answer we receive. That man is the leader of the eternal wall project, his name is Richard Gamble and this is his story.
