CannCon and Alpha Warrior open with a tribute to a Marine major who kept calling fire missions through morphine and a broken body, then the show takes a hard left into the most ridiculed shark attack story in podcasting history. Alpha's Marine Corps nickname is Sharky, and the story behind it stretches credibility from the first sentence to the last. CannCon and the chat spend the better part of an hour grilling him on the size of the shark, the missing scars, the beef jerky in his cargo pocket, and whether a teenage Mako really shredded his shorts or if he just got friction burn from rubbing against the skin. In between the bits, the guys cover the SCOTUS ruling that sided with Texas, knocking down the federal law that banned marijuana users from owning firearms, the same one used to prosecute Hunter Biden, plus the still pending birthright citizenship decision. The closer is the real meat. Alpha torches the boomers for handing the next generation a wrecked country, then turns around and torches millennials and Gen Z for crying about it, before landing on his actual thesis. Gen X is going to be the generation that fixes this mess.

In Episode 159 of the MAX Afterburner Podcast, Matthew “Whiz” Buckley delivers an unfiltered SITREP on Operation Epic Fury, the escalating conflict with Iran, and the daily confusion surrounding negotiations, red lines, and America's strategic objectives.Pulling no punches, Whiz argues that proportional warfare is for losers and contends that the radical Islamic regime in Iran began its war against the United States nearly five decades ago. He examines President Trump's stated desire to finish that fight while questioning whether current negotiations and military strategy are achieving the desired outcome.Drawing on his experience as a TOPGUN fighter pilot who spent a lot of time in the region, Whiz discusses the dangers of prolonged military operations, the risks faced by America's young servicemembers, and why he believes dragging conflicts out can carry costs measured not only in lives lost, but in lives forever changed. He highlights the recent shootdown of a U.S. Army AH-64 Apache helicopter by Iranian forces. By the grace of God, both aviators survived. Yet Whiz challenges the notion that America should only respond decisively after fatalities occur. He argues that traumatic brain injuries, life-altering wounds, and invisible injuries suffered by servicemembers matter just as much as casualty statistics. As the founder of the No Fallen Heroes Foundation, Whiz has spent years working with veterans carrying the unseen wounds of war. He points out that repeated drone, missile, and proxy attacks don't have to kill American troops to inflict devastating consequences. Every attack risks creating another generation of warriors who return home carrying physical, emotional, and moral injuries that can last a lifetime.Whiz also challenges the idea that America's adversaries can be negotiated with as if they were business partners across a Manhattan real estate table. He questions whether mixed messaging, shifting red lines, and prolonged operations are putting more American lives at risk rather than bringing the conflict to a decisive conclusion. But this episode is about more than strategy and geopolitics. As always, Whiz speaks from the heart, reminding listeners that war is the ultimate failure of the human condition. Beneath the flags, politics, religions, and borders, we are all human beings. While he calls for decisive action when necessary, he also calls for peace—and for leaders to never forget the human cost paid by those sent into harm's way.Passionate. Provocative. Thought-provoking.This is an episode that will challenge assumptions, spark debate, and leave listeners thinking long after the debrief is over.Fight's On!
From mine clearance to escorting tankers the UK and France promised to lead a “defensive” mission to reassure shipping “when conditions allow.”With the ink now dry on the first step of a US/Iran peace deal that mission looks like it's about to go from plan to reality.Rear Admiral (retired) James Parkin shares his experience of leading a protective mission in the Strait, when Iran was seizing tankers in 2020. He also tells Sitrep just how tense it can be facing Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy.Professor Michael Clarke explains what the UK is most likely to contribute, and what could happen if the fighting restarts around British vessels.
CannCon and Alpha Warrior unpack one of the most disorienting twenty four hour stretches of Trump's second term. At sunrise the President posts that the US will be hitting Iran very hard tonight and seizing Karg Island and Iran's oil markets the way it did with Venezuela. Four hours later he cancels the strikes after saying a deal was approved by Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, and Egypt. The guys replay the old Ghost in the Machine psyop videos to frame what they are watching and read straight from the Fifth Generation Warfare book on Target Audience analysis. Alpha makes the central argument of the show. The roller coaster is not aimed at us. The red pilled are not the target. The normies are. Trump is balancing global power to a reset point while breaking decades of conditioning about who our allies and enemies are. The second half digs into Jay Clayton being named the permanent DNI. UPenn, Sullivan and Cromwell, the firm of John Foster and Allen Dulles, Bear Stearns, Alibaba, the Tren de Aragua RICO case, and his CNBC appearance hours before the announcement.

John Healey's parting broadside as Defence Secretary, and Al Carns resignation as Armed Forces Minister, are clearly intended to jolt the government into a rethink of the Defence Investment Plan. But will it work?Sitrep explains the difficult choices now facing by the new Defence Secretary Dan Jarvis, and how his experience in the Parachute Regiment might shape his approach.Professor Michael Clarke runs the numbers on the Defence Investment Plan which John Healey says “falls well short of what is required for defence… at this dangerous time”.And he explains why this leaves the Chiefs of the Armed Forces in a very delicate position.
MI5 says Chinese intelligence have been trying to lure military personnel into revealing secrets through fake job postings on sites like Linkedin, while the Pentagon reveals data gathered by legitimate advertisers has been scraped to target its troops in theatre. These are not just notional risks, but active exploits being used now. Former Army Intelligence officer Philip Ingram tells Sitrep how he was targeted by the Chinese scam, and explains what personnel can do to minimise the risks.Plus could the collapse of France, Germany and Spain's 6th generation fighter jet programme be good news for the UK's alternative GCAP?And the tank has been written off many times over more than a century of service Hamish de Bretton Gordon talks us through his new history of the mighty machine, and why he believes it still has a long future ahead.

Gun violence prevention. Potentially the most over leverage political ideal in the history of modern politicking. It remains an omnipresent issue within every discussion, debate, and campaign, and certainly can be relied on for every election and midterm that rolls around. Unfortunately, as that time draws near, we here in Michigan are dealing with this once more as Governor Whitmer signed another executive order, to create another task force, to "address" the "ongoing crisis" of gun violence. There's always so much behind the scene that seems to motivate these moves and while it's hard to predict exactly why it's happening right now, you can anticipate that in the end, we'll likely have to endure more hardships as lawful gun owners here in Michigan. The tank has been written off many times in history, even when the very first ones rolled onto the battlefield in World War One. But this British invention continues to shape the world. From its inception as a “land ship” to the battlefields of Ukraine, the story of the tank and those who have commanded them, are chronicled by Hamish de Bretton Gordon in his new book “Tank Command” He tells Kate Gerbeau how a risky experiment secured its ongoing place in modern warfare He also shares his own experiences in a tank during the Gulf War, from engine repairs using rope to narrowly avoiding friendly fire from the tank of Major James Hewitt.
The Situation Report for June 5, 2026. Rep. Crenshaw covers the biggest stories of the past week. The ceasefire agreement the U.S. just brokered between Israel and Lebanon – and why Hezbollah could screw it all up. How a shocking murder case in Britain is exposing the country's "two-tier system" of justice. Why President Trump just went all-in on coal – and what it means for grid reliability and energy costs. All this and much more news in less than 12 minutes. All you need to know about Iranian Proxies, Hezbollah, and the U.S. brokered ceasefire in Lebanon The Henry Nowak murder case rocks Britain UK erupts in riots over Britain's 'Two-Tier Justice' system Senate passes massive border security funding President Trump revives the American coal industry Why reliable power matters more than green subsidies Hiring surges as the labor market beats expectations China deepens ties with Kim Jong Un regime US cities brace for the World Cup If you read nothing else before America 250: American Covenant by Yuval Levin
CannCon and Alpha Warrior open with the Rick Chow not guilty verdict out of Columbia, South Carolina, where the gas station owner was acquitted in the 2023 shooting death of fourteen year old Cyrus Carmack Belton. Alpha walks through use of force science, why shooting someone in the back is not automatic murder, and why the sheriff's public statement about the suspect not pointing the gun was political pandering. CannCon pushes back hard. The conversation turns into a wider debate about why people hate cops, the complacency that gets officers killed, and Alpha's reminder that the same cops you berate are obligated to risk their lives for you. The middle of the show takes a personal turn. CannCon lost his stepdad Hayden that morning to cancer. He walks through the final days, the hospice questions nobody wants to ask, and the Meet Joe Black scene that keeps replaying in his head. Then the guys return to the Bill Pulte acting DNI move and connect it to Jacqueline Breger's 2023 Arizona Senate testimony on Sinaloa cartel bribes laundered through mortgage fraud, plus the two ex Sinaloa officials who just surrendered at the border.
Host Jeff Shepherd delivers a bonus message in the Mass Deception series that maps the current spiritual battlefield and explains how a subtle, seductive deception can pull even sincere believers away from biblical truth. Using a vivid store‑hero analogy, Jeff shows how an apparent rescuer — a charismatic, loving movement he calls the “light side” — can initially fight the obvious evil and win trust, only to blend with that evil and produce a false unity. The episode covers the nature of the threefold conflict: the overt Luciferian system, faithful Christians and patriots, and the deceptive light side made up of world‑faith leaders, ascension teachers, and charismatic figures who promote higher consciousness. Jeff highlights how this movement feels loving and right, and why that makes it especially dangerous. Key scriptural warnings are emphasized, including Matthew 24 (false christs and prophets; love growing cold) and 2 Thessalonians 2 (signs, false wonders, and a deluding influence). Jeff explains the concept of a “purple kingdom” — a false unity built on twisted truth and a coming counterfeit Christ — and how remnant believers who test everything against Scripture will increasingly be marginalized. Practical takeaways include a call to know the real Jesus (His birth, crucifixion, resurrection, and return), to test every spirit like the Bereans, to hold fast to Scripture over feelings or unity rhetoric, and to repent and return to the Word without fear of condemnation for past deception. Jeff closes by reminding listeners that the series will continue as he examines how the deception entered the church and urging love for God, family, neighbor, and community.
The long-delayed Defence Investment Plan, to turn the future blueprint of the Armed Forces into reality, is in sight. But with billions missing from the budget what do we need to look for when it arrives? What's on the table, and where might the axe fall? Professor Michael Clarke and RUSI Director of Military Sciences Matthew Savill explain why spending on getting the best out of what we already have matters as much as what new kit will be ordered. And Sitrep hears some of your thoughts on whether it's time to admit we can't do everything, and instead prioritise one service over the others.
CannCon and Alpha Warrior open with the White House dropping aliens.gov, a page that reads like a Project Bluebeam reveal for the first three paragraphs before the punchline lands. Trump trolled the country into reading about illegal immigration like it was a Roswell disclosure. The guys then run the hypothetical every Badlander has been waiting for: if a little gray man rings your doorbell, what is the legal definition of homicide actually say? Spoiler, an alien is not a person. From there the show takes a hard turn into Alpha's cop archive. The viral Palm Beach County deputy who said "right hand" and could not let it go. The Texas traffic stop with the blind driver and the paraplegic passenger. The professional cornhole player with no arms who shot his passenger. Alpha walks through the Cub Swanson stop, the Timothy Bradley four AM jog, why cops touch the trunk of your car, and the racist old Mexican man who tried to claim Alpha called him a slur until the recording dropped. They close on CannCon weighing whether to give up on California, Flock cameras, and the letter vs. spirit of the law.
Sitrep dives into the future of the Army and explains how a new generation of battlefield sensors and worldwide connectivity could transform British soldiering. The Land ISTAR programme will gather unprecedented battlefield insights and share them in real time, informing soldiers just a few metres away and at the same moment an HQ on the other side of the world. It won't be a big bang event, it's a long process, but its already connecting some existing systems with new cutting edge kit.Brigadier Matthew Birch, Senior Responsible Owner of the Land ISTAR Programme, and Colonel Kieran Phillips, Commander Multi-Domain Operations Group, explain what's already out there, what lies ahead, and how they plan to avoid data overload.
Exercise Spring Storm may be an annual event for NATO, but this time there's no playing nicely with words. The troops taking part say they are “rehearsing for war”, just miles from Russia.BFBS Forces News Reporter Rosie Laydon tells why this exercise feels different to the many she's visited before, and talks us through the new tech being tested out by 2 Scots. We explain what other tech is in the pipeline for the Army, and how it could change soldiering, as Kate talks to two senior officers driving the Land ISTAR programme. And Professor Michael Clarke assesses reports that the US will slash the combat capability it promises to NATO, including all submarines, and explains why it might not be as worrying as it looks.

CannCon and Alpha Warrior throw out the usual format and turn the show over to the audience for a Memorial Day special. Before the lines open, the guys go round and round on whether stolen elections are best called fake or fraudulent, with Alpha holding the line on stolen and gay over fake and gay. They cover Johnny Joey Jones reenlisting in the Marine Corps at 40 with no legs, what that signals about the civilian military force the CIA quietly admitted exists, and CannCon's own story of getting forced out by Obama-era downsizing after a shoulder reconstruction. Then the calls start rolling in. Kairos reads her original poem "Hey, Ron" written for her Vietnam vet neighbor. Claire Cat honors her dad, two uncles, and British father-in-law who served from Iwo Jima to the Battle of the Bulge to pulling pilots out of London's fields. Smay calls in from the regular Army era of 1970s pay. Space Monkey shares twenty nine Palms memories. Lion AZ tells the story of her granddaughter discovering she had a relative who served. Pan Blanco, age 84, remembers his recon Marine brother G. Edward Dyer. CannCon closes with a plug for the Mighty Oaks Warrior Program.
From invasion, through stabilisation and counter-insurgency to training Iraqi forces, Operation Telic involved more than 135,000 British servicemen and women from 2003 to 2011Fifteen years since the last troops left Sitrep talks to three veterans of Iraq to reflect on the jobs they did, the sacrifices made, and how the legacy looks today with more distance and time.In a special edition from the National Memorial Arboretum James Wharton, Duane Gardner, and Kevin Robinson share their stories and compare their experiences. And they explain how, despite the complex legacy of the Iraq war, it continues to shape todays armed forces from transformed kit to sharpened doctrine.
CannCon and Alpha Warrior welcome retired Air Force Lt. Col. R. Davis Younts, a former JAG officer who almost got separated at nineteen and a half years for refusing the COVID shot, saved only by the Doster injunction. Younts now represents the service members fighting to get their careers, records, and back pay restored. The conversation opens with the trailer for the new documentary "Duty to Disobey," then moves into Pete Hegseth's announcement establishing the COVID-19 Reinstatement and Reconciliation Task Force. Younts breaks down what is actually good about the directive, where the Pentagon bureaucracy is still slow walking it, and why he estimates only about 5% of forced-out troops will return after what they and their families went through. The guys dig into the Army War College integrity study, the risk-averse mindset that makes officers manage their careers instead of leading, and why Stuart Scheller is the modern Billy Mitchell. Younts ends with a simple prescription: fire the general officers, hold real war games, and rebuild from there. Plus: US has 750 overseas bases. China has one. Russia has under 30. So what is $1.5 trillion buying?

The Royal Navy, already thinly stretched, is now sending HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Duncan to the High North, while HMS Dragon heads in the other direction to loiter for a possible mission in the Strait of Hormuz. Both high profile deployments come with some big questions. Is an aircraft carrier the best way to deter Russian submarines? And if Dragon is waiting for an end to fighting between the US and Iran, what job for it to do there? Retired Commodore Steve Prest explains the likely tasks for each vessel and their crews, while Professor Michael Clarke assess how the Royal Navy will manage the workload just as it's at the toughest point of a long term transformation.
CannCon and Alpha Warrior go head to head for nearly the entire show in one of the most heated SITREPs yet. The night opens with a rolling debate on whether Islam is purely a religion or a political ideology, sparked by Sammy the Squirrel's Substack and the Epic City development in Texas. Alpha argues for preemption and forced assimilation. CannCon stays planted on the constitution, demanding actual examples of laws being passed before force is used. The conversation rolls into foreign flags flying on US soil, with CannCon proposing twenty year sentences for Americans flying another nation's flag, and Alpha reminding him he claimed to be a free speech absolutist three hours earlier. Then the gloves come off on the Second Amendment. The guys break down the DOJ's lawsuit against Denver over an ordinance that turns a Glock 17 into an "assault weapon," walk through the Bruen test, and unpack why the NFA classifying a suppressor as a firearm is like calling a wheel a car. Plus California's 11% ammo tax as a backdoor penalty. They close defending Kyle Seraphin against a Just The News hit piece, deployment war stories, and a civilization jihad document read aloud.

Three decades since the end of the troubles the legacy on Northern Ireland is affecting today's Armed Forces, with growing talk it's damaging recruitment and driving some to leave service. The Northern Ireland Secretary promised additional protections for veterans to help as the save his legacy bill from running out of parliamentary time, but it remains hugely divisive.Sitrep explains the complexities of laying the past to rest in way that could satisfy all, and asks one veteran why he favours an end to prosecutions over courtroom justice for victims and families, including hundreds of soldiers. CannCon and Alpha Warrior are joined by Chad Caton for a blistering hour and a half that swings from Marine Corps locker-room chaos to some of the sharpest political talk of the week. They dig into the SPLC indictment and the web of NGOs propping up Antifa at ICE standoffs and Cop City, including the green-helmeted "legal observers" Chad has squared off with in Portland, Chicago, and Minneapolis. From there, the guys tear into Senate Majority Leader John Thune, the five senators pushing to remove him, and why grassroots pressure is the only real leverage left. Chad lays out the reality of unseating Lindsey Graham in South Carolina, breaks down the Cornyn vs. Paxton primary in Texas, and explains why Greg Bovino got yanked from Minneapolis far too early. They also cover Scott Bessett's Capitol encounter, Trump's tariff and energy chess match, and the Oval Office moment where Cali Means told the President SSRIs do not work. CannCon and Alpha Warrior kick off SITREP Ep. 150 with personal news, including Alpha's unexpected announcement that he's becoming a grandfather to twins. From there, the conversation pivots into deeper territory, reflecting on war, perspective, and how shared experiences shape worldview. The episode's centerpiece is a live political compass test that sparks intense debate on government power, free markets, civil liberties, and cultural values. The hosts clash and align in surprising ways, revealing how complex beliefs don't fit neatly into left or right labels. They close with a raw discussion on religion, societal norms, and the dangers of oversimplifying ideological differences. It's a mix of humor, friction, and thoughtful introspection that highlights how nuanced modern political identity has become.

Mostly notably, the very recent dismissal of Pam Bondi as the Attorney General of the United States. This comes just a handful of weeks after the dismissal of Kristi Noem, who was another prominent cabinet member in the media, and perceived to be a key part of the administration. I talk about my first strike on our YouTube channel, and the unfortunate reality that our community faces, and then pivot over to the Bondi firing and what it could potentially mean for us as a nation. CannCon and Alpha Warrior kick off SITREP with a sharp look at the massive wave of data breaches impacting millions of Americans, breaking down how stolen personal information is being weaponized during tax season and why identity protection is becoming critical. From there, the conversation shifts into cultural and military dynamics, including debates around normalization, marijuana laws, and how public perception evolves alongside shifting societal standards. The episode leans heavily into military mindset and psychology, as the hosts react to viral recruitment-style content and discuss whether there is a broader push to reignite enlistment enthusiasm. Drawing from personal experience, they unpack the emotional pull of service, camaraderie, and how messaging can influence behavior. Later, they analyze cryptic White House posts and speculate on signaling, patterns, and what may or may not be intentional communication. Throughout, the discussion blends humor, lived experience, and sharp analysis of information flow in today's environment.
The opening moves of WW3 are so far coming as expected. The world sticks to the same tried and true predictable script used to engineer every war for the last hundred years. It still works! Trump is destroying the global economy to protect his jewish pedophile ring and ego in a war he's already lost. Meanwhile in Canada, Ottawa is implementing the most aggressive and outrageous thought crime legislation anywhere in the western world while giving itself pay raises, increasing taxes and mass murdering it's own people. These events are already in motion and too big to stop. So is the revolution. CannCon and Alpha Warrior return for SITREP Ep. 148 with a focused discussion on military authority, command structure, and the real world implications of war powers in the United States. The conversation centers on who actually has the authority to make decisions in times of conflict, how those decisions are carried out through the chain of command, and what that means for both service members and the public. The hosts break down the relationship between civilian leadership and military execution, highlighting how orders are interpreted, followed, and sometimes questioned in high pressure environments. They explore the tension between political leadership and operational control, along with the expectations placed on those in uniform when directives come down from the top. Throughout the episode, CannCon and Alpha bring personal insight into how military systems function behind the scenes, offering perspective on how decisions are made, how accountability is handled, and how quickly situations can evolve once action is taken. The discussion emphasizes the importance of understanding structure, responsibility, and the reality of decision making in moments where timing and clarity are critical.
CannCon and Alpha Warrior return for another episode of SITREP, breaking down military operations, intelligence missions, and the political narratives shaping public perception of war and national defense. The conversation moves from military life and deployment realities into discussions about aerial refueling aircraft, intelligence gathering missions, and the operational role of specialized tankers that extend mission capability for U.S. forces. Throughout the episode, CannCon and Alpha also reflect on the personal side of military service, explaining the logistical and emotional challenges troops face when preparing for deployment, from family decisions to financial planning and the uncertainty of returning home. The discussion then shifts toward political reactions surrounding military leadership and defense policy, including criticism of figures like Pete Hegseth and the broader climate of anti Trump sentiment in media and political circles. Blending military insight, political commentary, and candid conversation, SITREP Ep. 147 examines how operational realities on the ground often clash with the narratives promoted in public debate.

In this Special Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan delivers the latest on the widening war with Iran and the global economic and military consequences now unfolding across the Middle East and beyond. Bryan begins with the tragic confirmation that six U.S. service members were killed by an Iranian drone strike at a U.S. base in Kuwait, while Tehran continues launching missile and drone attacks across the region targeting Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. The conflict is now rattling global markets as LNG shipments halt, oil hubs burn, and the battle over the Strait of Hormuz threatens energy supplies for Asia and Europe. The episode then moves inside Iran, where U.S. and Israeli forces have struck thousands of targets including a secret nuclear facility outside Tehran uncovered through surveillance and intelligence cooperation between the CIA and Mossad. Iran's air defenses, missile systems, and much of its navy have been destroyed, giving allied forces near-total control of the skies as the war grinds forward. Bryan also covers the expanding regional front as Israeli forces move into Lebanon to confront Hezbollah, while global powers reposition around the conflict. Russia benefits from rising oil prices, China quietly sits on large oil reserves while watching Taiwan, and Europe scrambles to protect its energy supplies as the war reshapes global alliances. Finally, Bryan explains the political battle now unfolding in Washington, where lawmakers are debating presidential war powers, the legality of the Iran operation, and whether the true objective of the conflict is limited strikes or full regime change in Tehran.
