In a recent episode, we discussed part one of the establishment's sudden response to Trump's unexpected presidency in January 2017. Today, we run through part two of the timeline as it simply could not be encompassed in one show. As we noted previously, the hard reality is that the Intelligence Community, the Obama administration, and the political establishment never expected Trump to win. And when he did win, the intelligence community was suddenly faced with a very real problem. How do they cover up their actions? Their answer was to set out to destroy Trump's presidency. Comey's first action was to tell Congress on Jan. 10, 2017, that he could neither confirm nor deny an investigation into Trump—despite privately telling Trump that he was not under investigation. This is now the second federal court to block the mandate.
