An empowering episode of education on Hawaii and its origins and the struggles of the people, from local Hawaiians being priced out of paradise to losing their roots and traditions. This episode covers more than can be written in just a simple description, join us as we host 'The Son Of O'ahu' - Elijah Kala McShaneElijah, also known as Son of O'ahu, is a devoted Ambassador of Aloha from the sacred islands of Hawai'i. His mission of sharing The Way of Aloha has reached millions around the world via his social media reach and his work as a demanded speaker, facilitator, and ceremonialist. Elijah's message focuses around 3 fundamental principles of Hawaiian spirituality: Aloha 'Aina (connection to the land), Aloha Akua (connection to spirit), & Aloha Kanaka (connection to one another). As a Native Hawaiian on O'ahu, Elijah grew up in a strong, loving, and passionate family where hard work, excellence, and success were valued. Challenged by a speech impediment from his youth, Elijah struggled to find confidence and certainty in his own abilities until he was exposed to personal and spiritual development as a young adult. Growing up with a Catholic & Christian context of spirituality rarely fulfilled his thirst for truth, love, connection, and universal wisdom. This along with other factors of life propelled Elijah on a spiritual and cultural quest to rediscover his own unique connection to his ancestors, cultural practices, and ways of being through the principle of Aloha. Through consciousness work, healing inter-generational trauma, and creative expression, he developed Awakened Aloha, a multi-faceted organization that works toward "inspiring a world where Aloha is the heartbeat of humanity" where he alongside his wife, Jazmin, shares the message of Aloha as a transformative principle for self-discovery, connection, and contribution to the planet.

The RocketMAX was his dream bike for riding in his new home of the Peak District. The RocketMAX also fitted my dream and I've been lucky enough to be riding one since 2020. The steel frame helps the bike breathe with the terrain. At speed, the longshot geometry comes into its own, bringing a stability that allows you to really go for it. The RocketMAX also has a fun personality that means that you don't have to be going at warp speed to have a good time. Cotic will let you choose one of their builds or specify your own dream build parts list. You can collect the bike at their brand new showroom in Chesterfield, where one of the team will help get you setup on the bike. With regular owners rides and events and a company ethos that strives to operate in a low impact way, Cotic also gives back a good chunk of their time and profit to the riding community. You just heard from Isaiah Shepard as he recounted heartbreak that sent him reeling…but this moment was also the beginning of an enormous creative explosion. Now if that name doesn't sound familiar, you might recognize a YouTube account called Steezy Kane instead. Operating under this channel name, Isaiah-or Steezy - has amassed 3.6 million followers in the past four years through his popular prank videos. But beyond the singing challenges and pick up lines with which he initially made a name for himself, there is another side to Isaiah. This Isaiah dreams of expanding the scope of his work to sharp television writing and dynamic short films. He wants to become a serious independent filmmaker, a career that would allow him full creative freedom. Though much of his current work appeals to the masses, Isaiah knows that it's time to enter a different side of the industry- navigating away from seeking virality for virality's sake and forging a path into the creative unknown. Yet before Steezy Kane, before Youtube, before his departure from the mainstream, all Isaiah had was an interest in film and a video camera.
