The crypto world has had an interesting 2025 so far. It all started in late January 2025 after President Trump, a big crypto fan took office. President Trump proclaimed his love for all things crypto before launching his meme coin earlier this year. Elon Musk, his BFF and head of Trump's new DOGE department has been promoting various cryptocurrencies. All of this has resulted in a big uptake in people buying cryptocurrencies. Two days before President Trump was sworn in, Bitcoin hit a high of $104,536.90. This was due to the new American President being a big crypto fan, and the fact he is looking to launch an official American digital currency. All of this has helped to legitimise cryptocurrencies and prompt various countries to investigate launching their own digital currencies. Irish Tech News can exclusively reveal that the Irish Government has kept a close eye on what President Trump has been doing in the Crypto World. Within days of the current Government forming, the cabinet took time out from the speaking row debacle to launch a feasibility study on Ireland having their own digital currency. The Minister of Finance, Pascal Donohoe, got the boffins in the Department of Finance's new digital hub, Crypto Revolutionary Universal Digital (CRUD). The head of CRUD, Professor Rashers O'Toole, quickly got the buckos under him working on this. Professor O'Toole told Irish Tech News "With tariffs on the way, we had to act fast to protect the Irish economy. The only logical way of doing this was to invest in our own digital currency. " Once the feasibility study showed beyond doubt that an Irish digital currency had great potential, the next step was to think up a name for the new Irish digital asset. Professor O'Toole explained what happened next. "The team in CRUD brainstormed over various names before coming up with a shortlist. The following names were on the shortlist, The Lucky Charms Coin, The Leprechaun Coin, and The Shamrock Coin. "The shortlist was soon whittled down to the Shamrock Coin after various focus groups were held. One major point that was brought up in the focus groups, was that The Shamrock Coin name was too cliched and the name was shortened to the Sham Coin." When the Taoiseach met President Trump last month, he privately disclosed the idea of creating an Irish digital coin. President Trump was said to be enthusiastic and over the moon at what Ireland is planning to do. "This could be the second greatest thing after the Trump meme coin." Is what President is said to have told our Taoiseach Micheal Martin before he left the White House. The possibilities, for crypto is endless, and the Irish Government are convinced that they are on to a winner. After various setbacks involving, housing, health, bike sheds and phone pouch's, the Government need to get the general public back on side. Various opinion polls over the past couple of months have not been kind too the Government and something like this will help get them back in the general public's good books. Ministers Martin, Harris and Donohoe, are not yet in the last chance saloon hoping this gamble pays off. Crypto Coin future plans Plans are now in full swing to launch the Sham Coin before the summer, but before that can happen a sale price has to be agreed. The consensus at this moment in time is to make the Sham Coin price affordable, so that as many as possible can buy it. In the next couple of months Minister Donohoe, and Professor O'Toole will hold a press conference to launch the Sham Coin, so keep an eye out for that. See more stories here.

THE THESIS: The Party hates participatory democracies and are doing everything they can to destroy them. Italian voters elect a populist coalition and an unelected paper-bully at the EU says she has “tools” to punish them for choosing a “difficult direction.” Not all of them understand this, but many do: by constantly attacking and punishing the choice of voters, The Party is demonstrating that voting is not enough. What comes after populism? Revolution. THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES: The Party, which is comprised largely of atheists, likes to wag Romans 13 in the face of Christians. And, indeed, we are to follow the law . . . so long as following the law does not violate the Word of God. For some reason, The Party chooses to ignore they are to follow the law as well. The EU threatening Italian voters is lawless thuggery. In America, our ultimate civil authority is the Constitution and The Party is attacking that as well, again ignoring their Romans 13 obligation. Romans 13 Submission to Governing Authorities 13 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God's servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Love Fulfills the Law 8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. The Day Is Near 11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh. Taoiseach Micheal Martin declaring "Ireland wants nothing to do with the backward idea of sovereignty! We remain absolutely committed to the ideals of the European Union". If Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni sounds familiar--and, she should--this is a reminder that God have us the ability to be skeptical, to apply critical thinking and he gave us souls that can sense His voice, and that of the liar. [AUDIO] - Trump “roasts” Hillary as Hillary sits next to a Cardinal of the Catholic Church Riggleman: After I criticized Trump, my mom texted me, ‘I'm sorry you were ever elected' Denver Riggleman, a former GOP lawmaker from Virginia and House Jan. 6 committee aide, wrote in his forthcoming book that his mom texted him saying she was “sorry you were ever elected” after the then-Republican lawmaker went on CNN to condemn QAnon. Riggleman marketed his book as a behind-the-scenes look at the Jan. 6 investigation. A copy obtained by The Hill in advance of its Tuesday release reveals details on Riggleman's relationship with his mother as he publicly raised concerns about former President Trump and right-wing conspiracy theories. “What will it take to wake you up son….I love you so, but cannot stand by and listen to your elitist attitude and being praised by elitist journalist and democrats,” Riggleman's mother texted him. Congratulations, she said. “You are now part of the swamp…I'm sorry you were ever elected…You are officially a politician…I have cried over you and my heart is broken by you.”See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Sinn Fein will table a motion of no confidence in Simon Coveney, following the Katherine Zappone controversy. The Dáil returns after its summer recess on Wednesday, with one of its first pieces of business to deal with a motion of no confidence in Simon Coveney. It follows the failed appointment of Katherine Zappone to a UN Special Envoy role, with the party saying it wasn't done in a transparent process, and amounted to cronyism, while also falling below the standard expected of Government. Sinn Fein had said it wouldn't table the motion, if the Foreign Affairs Minister was sanctioned by the Taoiseach. Kerry TD Michael Healy Rae will not force customers to wear masks or facing coverings in his shop as they become mandatory today. Mr Healy Rae said he will encourage people to wear them but said he will not become an “enforcer” and neither will his staff. Speaking on Independent.ie's Floating Voter podcast, he said: “We are not going to be saying to a person 'you've no mask on, you can't be in the shop.'” “It won't happen in my shop and the vast majority of shops in Ireland. People working in the shops have enough to be doing just to do their own roles,” he added. Mr Healy Rae runs a Mace supermarket and filling station in his hometown of Killorglin. In a wide-ranging interview Mr Healy Rae also said: - He would accept a local lockdown in Kerry because the “rules are the rule”. - But public health experts don't have a “monopoly on being right” when it comes to pubs. - The new government has been an “unmitigated disaster”. - The sacking of Barry Cowen as Agriculture Minister was “wrong”. - Education Minister Norma Foley is a “formidable operator”. - And landlords are being “demonised” by certain TDs. Mr Healy Rae siad it is “remarkable” that pubs are still closed when around 100,000 people flew into Ireland from abroad last week. “That in itself was an anomaly and is something of great consternation to a lot of people,” he said. The long serving deputy said the Government should introduce testing and quarantine for all travellers arriving here as they have in New Zealand where there has been no new coronavirus case in over 100 days. Mr Healy-Rae said it is “counterproductive” to public health to keep pubs closed because people are not congregating in a smaller number of licenced premises. He also said the ban had led to emergence of sheebens in rural communities along with house parties and increased off-licence sales. He said his brother Danny's pub has remained closed throughout the pandemic as he does not serve food. Mr Healy-Rae says “common sense” outweighs advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team's (Npeht) guidance on the reopening of pubs. “No one has a monopoly on being right about everything at all times and I think they're wrong on this occasion,” he added. He said the new coalition government has been an “unmitigated disaster” that has “lunged from crisis to crisis”. He said Taoiseach Micheal Martin is a very experienced TD and expected him to be “more sure footed” when he took office. “The way I would describe the Government is that they are waking up everyone morning and what they are doing is they are literally wetting their finger and they are seeing which way the wind is blowing,” he added. He said the sacking of Barry Cowen over his drink driving case was handled “badly and poorly” by the Taoiseach. “I don't think it warranted him being forced out of the position that he had. I know an awful lot of people around the country certainly didn't agree with it,” he added. Mr Healy Rae said he was glad Kerry had a minister at the Cabinet table in Norma Foley and criticised those who describe he has an inexperienced TD. He also warned TDs against criticising landlords because they will leave the market and there will be less tenancies for renters. He said there is no money in the rental business if you are starting now.
