The new show continues the multi-year transformation of EPCOT, the Disney theme park dedicated to human achievement and fellowship among nations. “Harmonious” takes EPCOT guests on a thrilling journey through new interpretations of classic Disney songs as they've never been heard before, inspired, and influenced by cultures and people from around the world. The music plays amid choreographed moving fountains and lights, lasers, fireworks, and other pyrotechnics bursting spectacularly above and around World Showcase Lagoon. “Music is the heart of any celebration, and Disney music touches people's lives through powerful melodies and memorable lyrics that are inspiring -- in any language,” said Steven Davison, executive creative director, Disney Live Entertainment. “The driving force of ‘Harmonious' is the music, featuring voices of the world coming together to share in timeless Disney songs.” https://youtu.be/kvZvLc9FQVg

The new location is labeled as “Photo Concierge” and will be the single location for photo services. The old locations inside the parks will be repurposed for more merchandise. – https://www.micechat.com/302565-dateline-disneyland-jessica-rabbit-covers-up-as-lightning-lane-moves-in-at-disneyland/ A once state of the art system is almost completely gone from the parks. The FastPass machines have been removed from most if not all locations where they were previously installed in order to prepare for the launch of Genie+ and Lightning Lane. The new services will be offered through the Disneyland App only, so the old machines are no longer necessary. Some of the locations have been repurposed as shaded vending locations, while others are left empty for the time being. – https://www.micechat.com/302565-dateline-disneyland-jessica-rabbit-covers-up-as-lightning-lane-moves-in-at-disneyland/ The annual Gay Days Anaheim event took place over the weekend and drew quite a few LGBTQ++ guests and allies. Jessica Rabbit will be taking over a different role in the attraction as the story is updated to better reflect today's mentality. Jessica will now be a Private Eye keeping an eye on the Weasels who are on a crime spree in Toon Town. Her busty character will be more modest with a trenchcoat covering her up, and her character has already been removed from the trunk of a car in the attraction. Imagineers are working on the updates outside of park hours to not close the attraction. No word on when the updates will be complete. – https://www.micechat.com/302565-dateline-disneyland-jessica-rabbit-covers-up-as-lightning-lane-moves-in-at-disneyland/ A more subdued color scheme has come to part of New Orleans Square. The former Le Bat en Rouge shop has transformed from the deep rouge color to a new green and gold that is reminiscent of Princess and the Frog. There is still no official word on what will go into this location, but MiceChat guesses that it will be a Princess and the Frog themed shop of some sort. – https://www.micechat.com/302565-dateline-disneyland-jessica-rabbit-covers-up-as-lightning-lane-moves-in-at-disneyland/ On Friday, October 1st, Walt Disney World will celebrate its 50th anniversary. The Fab 50 are 50 sculptures that were created of Disney characters to be placed all around Disney World for the 50th celebration. This week, the platforms in World of Color lagoon have been raised and are being worked on. The projection housings we reported on being dismantled months ago still haven't returned. Hopefully this is a good sign that World of Color might make a return before the end of the year. Marine Corporal Hunter Lopez told his parents before he deployed that if anything happened, he wanted to be buried with the lightsaber he built in Disneyland in 2019. The family couldn't bear to part with the saber that he built, so they went to Disneyland to build a replica. Friends who work for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and are members of Club 33 arranged to have a private Savi's Workshop session to create the saber. While dining in Club 33, the family was presented with an American flag that flew over Disneyland and framed in a plaque in honor and memory of Hunter, presented by Disneyland Security Vice President Dan Hughes. – https://www.ocregister.com/2021/09/20/disneyland-pays-tribute-to-fallen-u-s-marine-killed-in-afghanistan-airport-attack/ Discussion Topic: Tage and Teresa talk about Oogie Boogie Bash and their upcoming trip. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is set to open in the France Pavilion of Epcot's World Showcase on October 1st, 2021. Part of the Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration, the World's Most Magical Celebration. We got out first look Inside Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in December 2019, a few months after the official announcement at the D23 Expo, part of the multi-year reimagination of Epcot. At the time, Remey's Ratatouille Adventure was planned to open in the “Summer 2020,”, which well, Not exactly this Covid thing happened. We watched the construction from our Disney's Skyliner gondola until the announcement that the opening day was moving to October 1st 2021 to co-inside with the 50th anniversary. The expansion is more than a single attraction, Disney is touting this new expansion as a “Mini-Land,” extending the existing France Pavilion, all part of Epcot's historic multi-year transformation. Remy, the “little chef” from Disney and Pixar's “Ratatouille”, has a passion for food, a passion that goes well beyond good taste – he's on a continual quest of creativity and innovation, making him the perfect inspiration for the expansion. The expansion includes both Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, a new family-friendly attraction inviting guests into the larger-than-life world of “Ratatouille.” Along with La Creperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering authentic French cuisine with both table- and quick-service options. The opening of the expansion marks a milestone in the multi-year transformation of EPCOT, a new generation of immersive storytelling at Epcot, Blending Real-World France with Whimsical Paris from ‘Ratatouille'. https://youtu.be/a31yPW5ur4g
A Walt Disney World opening day attraction based on the Disneyland original, It's a Small World, has entertained guests since its initial debut at the 1964 New York Worlds Fair. The second of its kind, Walt Disney Worlds It's a Small World, recently received an updated color scheme. Part of the park's preparations for the World's Most Magical Celebration, the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Let's take a ride on the fantasyland classic. Thanks for watching, and be sure to subscribe or more. https://youtu.be/sQFYg-A6Iz0

This week, The Orange County Register wrote an entire article comparing the two passes. The biggest differences are the lack of “good to go” days that the Flex Pass had, where Flex holders didn't have to make a reservation at all, with the new Enchant level always requiring a reservation. Additionally, the Flex pass had 350 days where guests could use the ticket, compared to the 216 days of the Enchant key. Enchant key holders can make twice as many reservations than the old Flex pass. – https://www.ocregister.com/2021/08/24/magic-key-vs-flex-pass-how-the-new-and-old-disneyland-annual-passes-compare/ Fans wanting to know more about what the retheme of Splash Mountain will entail should check out the video released this week on the Disney Parks Blog. As part of Disney's World Princess Week, they got together some of the creative minds behind the upcoming changes and made a 30 minute short talking all about it. Still no word on when Splash Mountain will be transformed, but this video is a must for those wondering what is next for the attraction. – https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2021/08/gather-around-the-table-for-a-conversation-and-peek-at-the-latest-developments-of-the-upcoming-attraction-inspired-by-the-princess-and-the-frog/ and https://www.micechat.com/262305-breaking-news-splash-mountain-to-become-princess-and-the-frog-themed/ Since Disneyland reopened at the end of April, Guest Relations had been stationed outside of City Hall in the Tour Gardens. This week, they were able to relocate back into City Hall. Also, one of Tage's favorite things has returned on Main Street – the Market Street fruit cart! This cart is located outside the main doors to the Market House and in front of the Main Street lockers. The location sells a variety of fruit and some beverages. – https://www.micechat.com/299488-disneyland-update-the-winds-of-change-are-blowing/ A lot of guests love the Disney PhotoPass service, but sometimes there isn't a PhotoPass Photographer around when you want that perfect photo! Imagineering's Project Expo is developing exoskeletons which cast members can utilize to interact with guests with larger characters than in the past. DeeDee was very much Walt's poodle, and she would follow him everywhere. When he would come home from work, Walt would take two hot dogs -- called Weenies by Walt -- and eat one and give one to DeeDee. What Walt noticed was how she would follow exactly where the weenie was moved. Walt took that memory and told it to the WED designers for Disneyland that he wanted to lead the Guests to move to certain areas of the park, and the concept of Disney Weenies was born.Sophie's Favorite Disney WeeniesEPCOT's Fountain of NationsMagic Kingdom's Cinderella Castle at Christmas at nightThe Grand Floridian ResortBrenda's Favorite Disney WeeniesHollywood Studio's Tower of TerrorThe Contemporary Resort Monorail trackAnimal Kingdom's Hallelujah MountainsMike's Favorite Disney WeeniesAmerican Adventure PavilionAnimal Kingdom's Expedition EverestMagic Kingdom's Space MountainThis Day in Disney History for June 28Walt Disney writes to all of the staff, inviting them to the opening of Disneyland on July 17, 1955.Disney Who's Who CharacterLightning McQueen from CarsWalt Disney Quote“The important thing is the family.
