Someone says something to piss you off. In your head you think, “What a jerk!” In that moment, when you’re triggered, you can’t see how you’re responsible for your reaction (not the person who triggered you). You can’t see how you’re responsible for your choice to either strike back or shut down in response. In your head it’s a zero-sum game with a winner and a loser. If you blame the other person, the point goes to you. If you accept what they say, they have the upper hand. There is no space for communication based in grace, love or self-responsibility. Communication goes awry when there is defensiveness and a reluctance to accept responsibility. A fear of loss is also at play. Fighting dirty might feel good in the moment, but guilt and shame often follow, leading you to feel even worse. You ALWAYS have a choice in how you respond and what you say. In this week’s episode, we’ll look at how to change your communication goals from being the winner (which creates distance) to being vulnerable (which brings people closer). It’s a game-changer. WISDOM NUGGET (#wisdomnugget) Communication can be challenging when you fear loss, but the thing you keep losing is yourself. Be open, honest and courageous—the rewards will come. THE ANSWER IS IN THE NIGGLE -------------------- You always know. You always know. You ALWAYS always always know! - you know what you're meant to be doing - how you're meant to be doing it - and when You KNOW. You always always always know what the pathway that you're meant to be following looks like, and even how to get there. The question simply is - how to tap in to that? Listen to this week's episode for what you need to hear! Please take a moment to leave a comment, review or share if you enjoy the show! Your feedback means so much to me, and I appreciate it so much! -------------------- Hi, I'm Katrina Ruth. I’m a self-made multi-millionaire, and I work with successful badasses like YOU, who kick their OWN ass … and then I kick it a little bit harder. I currently live on the Gold Coast of Australia, and I’m a single Mum to my two beautiful children, Alyssa and Nathan. I travel a LOT with my business (sometimes with the kids, sometimes not), and my business allows me to be fully location free. After many MANY years of not going all in, NOT speaking my truth or doing what I really wanted to do in the world, I finally said yes to purpose and sharing my deep soul message, AND to doing the damn work, and now, well – Here we are. I have been fortunate enough to build up an INCREDIBLE online community of driven entrepreneurs and leaders and creators, and each day I get to do what I always wanted to do, which is to motivate, educate, empower and inspire you to press play and create the business and life YOU want. I’ve made close to $15,000,000 (yes, 15 million dollars) online just by speaking my truth and following the path of my soul, breaking any and all rules that don’t feel fuck yes for me, and also – and this is my fave! – really just being ME. Yeah, I might have some fancier stuff now than when I started, but my business was built on, and still runs on, me being the girl who just loves to write and say what needs to be said running around usually in her gym gear as a hot mess, in between being a Mum and just, well, living life! I can't wait to get to know you! Please reach out and tell me about you me anytime, share what most speaks to you from my content, or just say whats up! I love to hear from badasses like you who GET what life is meant to be about! If repentance is the cornerstone of revival than forgiveness is the foundation. It is so foundational to who we are called to be as Christians that Jesus even says that if we do walk in forgiveness than we, ourselves, will not be forgiven. Gossip, bringing up past wrongs, saying "You ALWAYS" are all evidences that there may be some bitterness that needs to be released before it takes root as unforgiveness. Find out how in today's message. Pastor Derek_Oct. 25th, 2020
Hey Weight Loss Nation...... I'm back! www.TheWeightLossNation.com I'm over this COVID thing! I've spent the last 14 months worrying, being scared, living an emotional roller-coaster, and ... EATING! I allowed FEAR and the UNKNOWN to control my life and my actions led me down a path of destruction. I gained almost ALL the weight I lost. I allowed FEAR to open the door to negative feelings, guilt and emotional eating. I battled childhood feelings over my father, who died this past March..... and COVID was the straw that broke the camel's back! I was despondent, afraid, lost and disgusted with myself. Then....... I spoke to a friend of mine named FRANK ATKINS. Frank is a spiritual coach, who deciphers biblical principals, in a language anyone can understand. Frank recently published his book, "Faith Without Religion." I congratulated Frank, and I told him I would purchase the book and give him a review on Amazon. When the book came, I looked at the cover and quickly flipped through the over 400 pages of text. I gave a quick "WOW" and put the book down on my coffee table. About a week later, I was bored. I was sitting on my recliner in my living room and I saw Frank's book sitting on the coffee table. I picked up the book and started reading. I was amazed that I was able to understand the biblical principals Frank was referring to. I was reading, I was understanding and...... I really liked it! I was learning about the Holy Spirit. Someone, I had originally thought was "something," and I had no idea what the "function" of the Holy Spirit was. As a person who was raised "Catholic," I thought the Holy Spirit was a flame of fire that came to the Apostles of Jesus on Pentecost Sunday. I thought that flame of fire was "the Holy Spirit." I spent the last 58 years of my life believing the Holy Spirit was a "flame of fire," who came to you and helped you learn a different language. Then.... reading Frank's book, I learned that wasn't the case. I learned that the Holy Spirit was part of the Holy Trinity. God .... showing himself in the form of a spirit, that lives inside each one of us, ready to guide us upon the asking. I realized, God had to be part of decisions in my life. Not just the big decisions, but the little..... EVERYDAY decisions I make. I needed to ASK God to guide me, to fill me with words, strength, love and faith.... to get back on my journey to a "Healthy Lifestyle." www.TheWeightLossNation.com And just like that, I felt the Holy Spirit inside of me, in my gut...say.... get back on the Weight Loss Nation Podcast. Tell people about the Holy Spirit..... complete the triangle. That was it! I have learned what to eat... how to move my body for exercise, but I have never filled the void for my mental health. I thought I did! I thought by meditating, listening to music, reading and all the other things I used to calm me and satisfy me would work. They did work......."TEMPORARILY." I was missing "SPIRITUAL" CLARITY. I was in control of everything in my life. I made all the decisions. I got angry at myself if things didn't work. I praised myself if things went great. But...... nothing seemed to stick "PERMANANTLY." Now.... I've found the Holy Spirit. Now.... I ask the Holy Spirit to guide me. I have given up control and put my "Faith" in the Holy Spirit. I give "thanks" to God for all the good things in my life and for giving me strength during the tough times. I know God is a loving God. He is a merciful God. He is a God of miracles. He is a healer. God wants to give me favor and he wants me to have all good things in my life on this Earth. God wants that for each of you too. All you have to do is BELIEVE! Do you believe in God? Do you believe Jesus Christ was sent to this Earth to die for us, so that each of our souls would be saved? If you have faith and believe ...... you WILL have everything you ever wanted and more from God! Give God a chance! You have been running your life all this time. Have you been 100% happy with your results? If you would give God a chance and have faith in the Holy Spirit, you will see change! Change for the better! Just ASK! Ask God to awaken the Holy Spirit inside of you. Thank God for having mercy on you for all the stupid things you have done in your life. Be remorseful! Now... have FAITH and ASK the Holy Spirit to GUIDE you on your journey to a "HEALTHY LIFESTYLE." EVERY morning, Thank God for another day to do good things. Another day to CONQUER Emotional Eating, so that you can eat to just FUEL your body. Ask the Holy Spirit to GUIDE you in eating healthy, to move your body for exercise and to PRAY by reading God's words in the Bible. I would suggest you read Frank Atkin's book - "Faith without Religion." You will understand the scriptures so much better. Let's walk with the Holy Spirit and allow him to GUIDE us on our healthy journey. You ALWAYS have the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God to turn to in your life. If you don't have family you can talk to, a friend you can talk to, or a professional you feel comfortable speaking to ...... TALK to GOD! God will always listen! If you have Faith in God, he will always answer you in some way. God LOVES YOU! God will never turn away from you. If you believe in God and you are sincerely sorry, God will always forgive you. God is WITH you ALWAYS. 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year. I want you to START your Healthy lifestyle journey right now! Ask the Holy Spirit to GUIDE you! Ep 166 Viewer Question: When should I take down a song that I realize needs work? Video Description This was our response to a songwriter in a Facebook group that asked if they should take a song down from SoundCloud. She said that it was her only finished work publicly available, but that she realized that it does not represent her well. She did not want this to be the ONLY creative product that prospective clients associate with her. So that’s why she wanted to take it down. I have an IMMEDIATE reaction to this question, but since I know that this is something that we think ALL creatives can relate to, I thought we would bring it to you all. There are AT LEAST 2 trains of thought on this 1. “Done” is the new perfect. 2. Or tweak it Two MOST important things to remember: 1. The bottom line is are you proud of the product (as a representation of your best work of that particular time frame). 2. You ALWAYS want work out there, though. What do you think? What advice would you have given this songwriter? Take it down or leave it be? John is a Cleveland St. Ignatius graduate who went to Seton Hall University because he knew the Big Apple was the place to be for becoming a successful sportscaster. His career brought him to Madison Square Garden on Thursday March 12th when the Big East Tournament was cancelled due to the coronavirus , midway through a game between St. Johns and Creighton. It was a bizarre and unsettling situation and John takes us through the event. But mostly, we talked about how a young college kid hustles to get job opportunities and how John got to the point where he was rubbing shoulders with greats like Bill Raftery, and Gus Johnson. Aspiring broadcasters and media students need to listen to how John got his breaks. I will give you a clue. He made them. Speaker, Trainer and Consultant Jennifer Darling said she knew she was in the driver's seat when she was approached for a sales management position with a very large company and she set her own salary, and had them rewrite the corporate contract to include her list of expectations for the job. In this week's episode of the The Power of Owning Your Career Podcast, Jennifer shares how shifting perspective to embrace her life's intentions was a game changer for her career. Career Advice from Jennifer: Understand your own value (for women, especially, it's a lot greater than you're giving yourself credit for) Get to know your values and standards of integrity. Anna truly is the best person to be leading this conversation as she is not only a public speaker, but a tireless advocate for courageous vulnerability in service to deeper connection. But speaking up can often be the most difficult thing to do (even for Anna!) because there is no guarantee that we are going to get the result we are looking for, and that can be really scary. As an avid adventure seeker herself, Jessika starts the conversation around what ‘Adventure’ means to each of us and what steps we can take to create more adventure in our lives. Body shaming is an epidemic. As a culture, we are simple obsessed with size. Particularly when it comes to women’s bodies. From the early days when rounder ‘fertile’ bodies were more revered, to the flat-flapper twenties, the curvy fifties and sixties, the twiggy seventies, the waif-like nineties, and the athletic two-thousands, there has yet to be time in modern history that women haven’t been dictated to in some form or another. There has yet to be a time when women aren't being "explained" through media portrayals and social culture. And no body is winning, because the target is ever-shifting. It’s no wonder the majority of women are struggling to find their way and feel worthy, constantly being held in comparison to warped, photoshopped, idealistic images portrayed in media all over the world, that continuously represent less than 2% of the female population at any given time (a two-percent who is, as well, being photoshopped even further so even they can’t live up to the ideal). Is the world changing? In small parts, yes. Thanks to major media role models like @thebirdspapaya, who we are welcoming to the @unapologeticallyhershow stage in March, but we still have a long way to go to find our way through the filters and back to each other. Anna and the ladies get super personal about body shame, talking about the ways in which women of all sizes are struggling... and attempting to create a new dialogue by bringing the shame out from behind change-room doors. We talk media literacy, personal challenges and - as always - we do our very best to stay courageous in the face of some very hard conversations. Our Bio: Nothing connects us faster than being Unapologetically real. Meaning, NOTHING is off limits in this unconventional, conversational girl talk style cast. Topics will span sex, relationships, business, friendship, celebrities, travel, grief, love, loss and so much more. That means YOU ALWAYS skip the small talk and get real with this community of badass wise women, who are bonded more than super glue and have one totally unapologetic goal in mind: get real, get to the truth and tell it exactly like it is. Episode 5 Title: How To Own Your Story This week, our topic was led by Unapologetically Her Founder, and Principle Facilitator of the Unapologetic Speaker Training Program, Anna Mullens. Anna was called to a discussion about how we attach to our circumstances and form our identities (and our egos) around the story, and not the soul. The truth is: we are NOT our stories. We are so much more! When we can break through the shame and really connect to one another, releasing ourselves of the false identities our stories have shaped for us, we are able to live our lives with so much more freedom, creativity, love and divine wisdom. It is Anna’s relentless and mission to allow women to detach from the stories holding us back and truly see that we are already everything we need. We hope you enjoy this beautiful and soulful conversation! Our Bio: Nothing connects us faster than being Unapologetically real. How To Be Perfect Do you have troubles meeting your own standards? Have you been told that the standards you set for yourself are too high? Do your standards get in your own way? If you answered yes to any of these questions you may have a perfectionist monkey running around in your brain. That monkey can cause stress, anxiety, nervousness, frustration and even depression. Especially if you constantly criticize yourself for not doing a good enough job. This is my issue, or “monkey.” I like to call her “blah blah.” Yep you heard me right “blah blah.” She is the critical voice inside my head that compares my performance to everyone else’s. Well it’s time for “blah blah” to stop”blahing.” Ask yourself.... What is perfection? What defines success? What’s feeding your soul? After meditation, perfection to me is simply waking up with air in my lungs. I’m learning that success is feeling enough. And lastly my soul is fed with awareness. I’m aware of the signs of procrastination, worry and doubt. This is “blah blah.” This awareness helps my soul to find the thoughts that feed me. Are you ready to set some boundaries with “blah blah?” Stay tuned for tomorrow’s episode where we speak more about perfectionism and how “blah blah” has haunted the thoughts of Hayley Loewen Intuitive Business Mentor her entire life. Planned, Prepped, and Productive: Real Food Cooking for Busy Moms
Today on the podcast I'm talking all about mindset. Specifically I'm talking about all of those nasty little thoughts in your head that are getting in the way of your meal planning success (and likely your success in other areas as well). 5 mindset shifts that will make your meal plan more successfulLike you, I have totally put myself through a mindset workout wondering if family meals and cooking are really all that important, and if I am really capable of both making dinner and living a balanced and stress-free life. Negative thoughts are toxic and if you are constantly telling yourself that you don't have time, you hate to cook, your family doesn't like anything you make, or that you aren't good at it...you will likely fail at the whole family meal, meal plan, meal prepping thing. We all have those negative thoughts and I want to show you how you can overcome some of those negative thoughts. This episode comes with a little assignment, if you've already listened to the podcast and are ready to begin your assignment you can get your free Mindset Shift Worksheet here!Get your FREE Mindset Shift Worksheet here!Don't believe everything you thinkUp until recently, I never stopped to consider that what my brain is telling me is not always true. In fact, it's hardly ever true! If we allow ourselves to believe the negative thoughts about ourselves and about the world we are setting ourselves up for failure. Here's just a few ways to shift that negative mindset to a growth mindset when it comes to cooking and meal prep. 5 Mindset Shifts for Meal PlanningFailure is good, every failed attempt is taking you one step closer to success. Failure is not fun, but failure teaches you so much more than success! Learn from those failures and as you add up all of the things you learn, eventually you will reach success.Your path to success doesn't have to look like anybody else'sInstagram compare-ers I'm talking to you. Just because your best friend gives up her entire Sunday to meal prep adorable little packaged healthy meals doesn't mean you have to. Learn from your own personality, experience, and mistakes and forge your own path. Meal prepping and planning does not have to be all or nothing, small steps are still progressIf you're eating cold cereal every night (no judgment) you are probably not ready to start making every meal from scratch. Start with a Sunday dinner, or maybe some partially from scratch cooking. As you learn you'll be ready to add more, don't get overwhelmed because you try to do too much all at once. You're not supposed to be good at it at firstI have some pretty embarrassing cooking stories. Cooking is a skill and an art that takes time to develop. Meal planning is also a skill that takes practice, so if you are a good cook but you are terrible at meal planning, you just have another skill to work on. Don't stress. You'll get there! You ALWAYS have the ability to change directionSo that meal planning app that you paid for isn't working like you thought it would? Let it go! You made a bunch of freezer meals but you don't like them at all? Give them away and get them out of your freezer and life. If something isn't working for you, change it. Simple as that. You aren't a failure, you just learned something that didn't work. Move on. Don't stay stuck because you've invested time, money, or energy into something that isn't working. Mindset shifts for meal planning worksheetNow that we've talked about some of the ways you should be shifting your thinking to be able to grow and progress, let's get to

This week’s episode of Your Anxiety Toolkit is called “Watch your mouth” and I mean that in the kindest possible way. I know we usually hear the phrase “Watch your mouth” as a phrase of discipline and can often be shocked or intimidated by such a statement. In this episode, we talk all about the words we use in daily life. We address how we often say things that simply are not true, or are quite unkind. Because we often unconsciously believe what we tell ourselves, we have be careful not to address ourselves in ways that are unhelpful. Take a quick look at the below examples: • “I NEVER do anything right” • “I am so BAD for having this thought” • “You ALWAYS make me anxious” Here are a few examples of ways in which we say things that are untrue and unhelpful. When we do this, we not only feed ourselves stories that are unhelpful but we also create an environment where negativity exists. I can make the assumption that these negative statements are not helpful for you. In this episode, we hope to inspire you to “watch your mouth” carefully and take note when you are speaking in a way that might exacerbate your anxiety. ALSO, We also have fabulous news! Episode 260 covers the basics of prolactin! This is yet ANOTHER massive topic that people seem to automatically hear the word and think BAD! When in reality, its all context and situational dependent. So of course I cover the basic overview for males and females as well as some practical application for PED users. You ALWAYS need to understand the basics before you can designate a certain level as "poor" or "optimal." If you don't like where you are in life, realize that you have the opportunity to change. You have options. You ALWAYS have a choice -- though it may not be an easy one. Start with your confessions of where you want to be in life (not reciting where you currently are). Pray for a God plan to get where God desires for you to be. Then do it. It's that simple and complex all at the same time because it's not always easy to go a different route than you've always gone...but if you want it bad enough you can be willing to sacrifice comfortable and familiar for your truth in Christ Jesus.
What if I told you that every thought, emotion and action dictates your frequency... Sure, we all know that having negative thoughts will produce negative outcomes but did you know that while being in a lower vibrational mood, you also attract the same energy and people into your life?! Feelings of Love, Joy, Wisdom, Passion, Enthusiasm and Gratitude will have you vibrating higher than most! Feelings of Fear, Despair, Rage, Jealousy and Guilt will keep you in a very low frequency and a very poor outlook on the world. Remember, your thoughts create your reality! You ALWAYS have the POWER to snap out of any mood or feeling in a flash! Your thoughts and words are very POWERFUL! Be mindful and as always Stay Woke My Friends! Peace, Love and Abundance

You’re Listening to the Street Smart Wealth Podcast, show 294, and today I'm answering the question - should I build my business or my brand? This is usually a question about TIME and building online or offline. Need some coaching to move you forward? My one on one and inner circle programs are LIVE! Are you looking for coaching to be successful in your Network Marketing business? Want to also learn how to generate your own leads online? My Inner Circle Coaching Program may be just what you need. Or, maybe it's one on one coaching. Learn more about both at StreetSmartWealth.com/coach And, DirectSalesBootcamp.com is open! Check the podcast archives on the blog at JackieUlmer.com for previous episodes if you missed any or are new to the show. Should I Build My Business or My Brand This is a question I am asked quite often and it usually involves some conversation around Time, and how to fit it all in. And, it's about offline, old school network marketing and contacting your warm market list, going to networking events and other activities. Or, creating content such as blogging, videos and social media. Here are the key points - Your BRAND is you, whether offline or online. You ALWAYS want to do some form of income producing activities FIRST. If you know my story, you know that I was building my business for 6 years offline before I discovered the power of the internet, and while it changed my business, I probably would have never gotten to that point if I had not developed the commitment and the business skills needed to move forward. Your BRAND is your online content as well as who you "are" offline. What do people say to describe you, and your business? Can they sum it up in a sentence? Two sentences? One thing I love about building the online piece of your brand is the leverage it gives you. Spend 3 hours at a networking event and get your commercial and business in front of 50 people - GREAT. But, no one else can ever experience that presentation or that time again. Create a video and share it on Facebook or YouTube, ten, one hundred, and thousands can see and experience that over time. THAT is powerful. And, it takes time, focus and consistency. Give yourself a 90 day challenge. Right now, I am challenging myself to massive networking offline for 90 days, and facebook live online! I'm focused on building my audience in both places. Where are you focused? I LOVE and appreciate reviews! Go to JackieUlmer.com/itunes or JackieUlmer.com/stitcher to leave your review and be entered into a drawing for a free month of coaching. One thing we all love as farmers is learning new things about our trade. Wouldn't it be awesome to become an author of one of those books that sits on shelves around the world? That is exactly what we cover on today's farm podcast episode. When I got into farming I knew at some point I was going to write a book, but I had no idea what I was going to write it on. While I didn't have the idea for the book yet, I had my eyes open waiting for that topic to present itself. As my agriculture career started to take shape my topic ended up presenting itself. I found that through my Facebook page, through my website, and a few other places (primarily on the internet) people were asking for the plans to my chicken tractors. Well, when enough people ask, it makes sense to deliver. It has been an amazing journey not only in farming, but in becoming an author as well. I really enjoy the process of writing, though it can be really scary. Even the show notes, that I am writing right now, are enjoyable to create. I also really enjoy what the book has done for me and my business. As a farmer the winters are slow months for income. I have been working on season extension for vegetables. I'm encouraging my chickens to lay a few more eggs. I am also finding those winter markets that I can then turn around and sell this food. I have also been getting money in from my published eBook. While I'm not going on any vacations any time soon, the income generated from my book is helping me cover my bills in these chilly months. Writing a book is a lot of work. What in farming isn't a lot of work? But like sowing seeds, moving cattle, or collecting honey, writing a book can be very rewarding. I have plans to continue writing about what it is that I am doing on the farm.
