    Does Food Addiction Exist?

Does Food Addiction Exist? In this episode of the Conquer Food Podcast Craig sits down to discuss food addiction and whether it exists or not.Addiction is when a person impulsively indulges in something regardless of the negative consequence. Unfortunately, food addiction hasn't truly been recognised as a real addiction, whether that's because it hasn't been researched enough or something along with them lines, but it doesn't make it any easier to tackle when it's not truly being recognised. The DSM doesn't have a category for food addiction, although it's common knowledge that it's there and it's real. A factor with it not being acknowledged is that it isn't considered as serious as other addictions like alcohol and drugs and it's no physical loss to it like gambling. Not everyone that's obese has a food addiction and not everyone that has a food addiction is obese, however, 15% - 20% of people have 3 or more signs of food addiction compared to an overall 5% - 10% of everyone having 3 or more signs of food addiction. Does it matter that it's not recognised? Yes, i think it does as it's not getting get the proper research and government policies put in place in order to help battle it and allow people to become more healthy. Food addiction can come from other things, not just greed, greed is actually quite rare. Food addiction can occur from past trauma, unhealthy relationships, etc. and food can just become a comfort thing to help people feel better.

The context being where you are in your journey and what your goals are. There's a discussion about whether you should keep bread, grains, lagoons in your diet when you're trying to eliminate sugar from it, which is a difficult question to answer as fundamentally they're all sugars. So if you're seriously trying to cut out all sugar then it's a really easy win to drop them out your diet. Why would you consider quitting sugar? What are the benefits? There are typically a lot of challenges that come about at the beginning of the New Year, an example being you could run every day of January, be alcohol-free, etc. However, we feel the challenge that would give the greatest benefit would be eliminating the sugar in your diet, because sugar really is the silent killer that's causing obesity, and smashing society in general. There are such amazing benefits for cutting out sugar like your fitness becoming much greater, your sleep improves greatly, your mood gets better and all these come from a reduction in your sugar intake.Cutting sugar can be very tough and you can see some signs of withdrawals, but there are benefits and 4 main benefits in particular which are:-Increased energy-Improved weight management-Mental clarity/mood-Reduced inflammationAll of these will see improvement in these things when reducing sugar.About The Conquer Food ShowPowerful Extreme Weight Loss & Sugar Addiction Advice Straight From The Coal-Face of The Weight Loss Industry in The UK. How To Stop Emotional Eating

How To Stop Emotional EatingPlease subscribe & share this video on YouTube- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMP9jrgpmQZL6zs5nj_e6hw?sub_confirmation=1How to Change Emotional Eating:Emotional eating tends to be a habit, and like any habit can be broken. It may be hard, especially if you've been doing it for a long time, but it is possible.Weight problems often run in families, so the easiest way to tackle emotional eating is together as a family. You can't expect an overweight child to stop binge-eating snacks and junk food when other people in the household are eating them.Identify your emotional eating triggersAwareness - The first step in putting a stop to emotional eating is identifying your personal triggers. What situations, places, or feelings make you reach for the comfort of food? Most emotional eating is linked to unpleasant feelings, but it can also be triggered by positive emotions, such as rewarding yourself for achieving a goal or celebrating a holiday or happy event.Identifying your triggers- The main thing to look for would be potential triggers which could be anything from situations, places or the time of day for an example, that would make you start emotionally eating, and keep a lookout for those situations as they would massively help you stop emotionally eating.Remember it won't be just you that is going through this as I believe most people do, and if you need any further information or if you're struggling and need some extra help don't be afraid to get in contact!About The Conquer Food ShowPowerful Extreme Weight Loss & Sugar Addiction Advice Straight From The Coal-Face of The Weight Loss Industry in The UK. Ric is from and grew up in Manchester and from a young age always loved sports, especially combat sport like boxing and martial arts as well as being a good footballer. Ric's parents pushed him towards sport at a young age to prevent him getting into trouble due to him growing up in quite a rough area, which has to lead him into the life he's got now. Ric studied sports and exercise science at Salford University, he also worked at a personal trainer for a few years, as well as head of performance team for boxing legend Ricky Hatton as well as 6 other world champion boxers!Craig and Ric discuss the similarities between regular people participating in low-level sport, or who are just trying get fitter and professional athletes as they are also just regular people, who share the same insecurities and same likes and dislikes, when it comes to sport and fitness, and are still normal people with normal peoples feelings and have just worked so hard to get to where they got to.Ric then goes onto the difference between those who are at the top of their game compared to those who are not, and it isn't natural talent that makes the difference its hard work and doing the basics well by making the correct decisions that may give you short term pain but long term satisfaction. An example of this would go straight to sleep instead of staying up a bit later cause you want to watch a new episode of something on Netflix because if you stay up then that means when you have to get up you'll get up more tired and it will either affect your performance in your training the next day or it might make you not train which means you end up suffering in the long term.Ric is hosting a charity boxing night, for his niece that sadly passed away at only 12 days old back in 2014. The event will consist of regular people, who have never fought before, volunteering to have a boxing fight and have 6 weeks training program. Ric has been doing this since 2015 and in this time he's raised an amazing £250,000 from his great cause!Make sure you check out Ric's website https://www.ricmoylan.co.uk/ to see the charity website and videos from past events and if you're interested please get in touch with Ric.About The Conquer Food ShowPowerful Extreme Weight Loss & Sugar Addiction Advice Straight From The Coal-Face of The Weight Loss Industry in The UK. I became friends with myself again. Now, I want you to do the same!" - CharlieCharlie describes the difference in 'Losing weight' (OUTCOME) vs 'redesigning lifestyle' (PROCESS) - and how by taking care of the process part, the outcome takes care of itself. "Trust the process and decouple your imagination from reality - the reality of 'success' is just a consistent repetition of daily tasks. Everyone knows how to lose weight - eat less, do more! Yet, why do people keep asking me 'HOW' I lost the weight? Why are they annoyed when I tell them I 'ate less and did more'? People are tied up in their imagination - I want to change that." - CharlieAbout The Conquer Food ShowPowerful Extreme Weight Loss & Sugar Addiction Advice Straight From The Coal-Face of The Weight Loss Industry in The UK.You can learn how to finally beat Food Addiction Through Positive Living.→ https://www.conquerfood.orgGet powerful mentoring & coaching from Craig & Paula→ https://conquerfoodies.comOvercome Food Addiction & Sugar Eating & Listen to The Latest Conquer Food Podcast→ https://www.conquerfood.orgThe Conquer Food Programme is a powerful extreme weight loss and food addiction coaching programme that enables binge eaters and sugar addicts to beat unhealthy food habits and finally live the life they deserve.Developed in conjunction with the founders of TEAM Bootcamp, the programme has helped thousands scorch more than 24 tonnes of unwanted body fat.Including:Adam - Lost 100kg+James - Lost 24 StPriya - 70kg+Jonathan - 6.5 StonePlus countless more…About Craig & Paula================Paula WilliamsExpect - A Soft, Nurturing & Knowledgeable Approach Delivered in a 'Thank You Angels - The Universe is Looking After You' MannerCraig WilliamsExpect - A Tough, No-Nonsense Approach Delivered in A Northern 'Get Your Big Girl Pants On!' Giving Up Coffee & The Negative Effects of Caffeine

Giving Up Coffee & The Negative Effects of CaffeineThe problem with caffeine is that it “burns out” your Central Nervous System and causes numerous, negative changes in your hormones, which ultimately accelerates ageing. The negative changes in hormones are:Increase in stress hormones, such as cortisol -- this means more belly fat.A decrease in testosterone -- this means less muscle and lower libido.A decrease in growth hormone & IGF -- more fat, accelerated ageing.A decrease in thyroid hormones (T3) -- slower metabolism and fat gain.A decrease in adrenal hormones -- DHEA, pregnenolone, etc.A decrease in melatonin -- sleep and anti-ageing hormone.Increase in estrogen -- breast cancer, gynecomastia (“Man Boobs”), irregular menstruationHigher blood sugar and insulin insensitivity -- more fat, less muscle, diabetes, etc.Another major issue is neurological in that it causes issues by decreasing dopamine release and dopamine receptor sensitivity -- both are bad because it decreases happiness and can cause Parkinson's.It also causes a decrease in another neurotransmitter, serotonin. This means again, less happiness, more worry, stress, anxiety and panic.Other health problems that are non-hormonalOxidative stress and inflammation -- related to numerous health problems, aches and painsPH imbalance (more acidic) -- acid reflux, osteoporosis, gut bacterium imbalancesInsomnia & poor sleep (shallow REM sleep) -- a cause of too many health problems and hormonal imbalances.High blood pressureAnd more...

How Your Self-Image Sabotages Your Weight Loss & Fitness ResultsIn this episode, I explain how our self-image can often sabotage our progress towards weight loss and fitness goals. We often think we have a thought, which then controls our behaviour and the behaviour dictates our results. This is incorrect. We have a thought which first must pass through the sub-conscious mind before we act. Our subconscious mind hols our self-image, values, beliefs, previous experiences, biases, traits and programming, which may be in conflict with your goals. It’s a lot like an autopilot on a plane. When we take off the pilot can release the controls as he turns on the autopilot and no matter what happens during the flight, the plane will always move back on course to the destination that has been set. If we believe that we will always be big or that we can not run, we will always default back to that. The way to overcome this is to:1 - Repetition, repetition, repetitions of the following:2 - Become aware of our language3 - Constantly look for the evidence to disprove your current belief and support the new belief4 - Use the words ‘but’ and ‘yet’ top turn your closed statements into open statements5 - Challenge other peoples closed statements. Looking for the language in others is a great way to quickly learn the process ourselves.-------------------------------------------------------------------------Powerful Extreme Weight Loss & Sugar Addiction Advice Straight From The Coal-Face of The Weight Loss Industry in The UK. The 4 Biggest Killers of Exercise & Diet MotivationToday, I provide an overview of some new research (PLUS my input) into the 4 biggest killers of motivation. The study was completed by Richard Clark from the BSC Clinic for Cognitive ThinkingThey are: Value MismatchValues are what we hold dear. They impact how we think and what we do, but they can also conflict with our ultimate health and fitness goals. To establish your values check out The Values Factor book or look through the lists hereA Lack of Self-EfficacyHow you value yourself and whether you think you are good enough or able. People with low self-efficacy will see problems as obstacles and may even avoid challenging tasks. They will tend to focus on the previous failure instead of wins.To increase your self-efficacy start building up a history of wins and success with small achievable goals and recognising your progress. Disruptive EmotionsSometimes the silliest emotions can cause you to eat bad food or not do your workout. Look out for the trigger situations and emotions then look for ways to change your reaction to these events and emotions.Attribution ErrorsOften we attribute failures and problem to the wrong things. Spend time brainstorming the factors that you believe are causing you issues and work out if they are the true causes of failures.

Keto for Beginners. Benefits of a Ketogenic Diet With Paula WilliamsWelcome to the Conquer Food Podcast with Craig and Paula Williams where we share tips, tricks, and strategies from the coalface of the weight loss industry in the UK. We are going to help you to think, eat and move better. Ultimately, we're going to help you finally gain control and Conquer Food. We've got a great guest today, my beautiful wife and business partner, Paula, who is also the founder and lead coach and the Conquer Food Programme. I want to talk a bit about the food specifically. Paula, you lived a keto diet and ketogenic lifestyle for quite a while. You had some great results. Living on a ketogenic lifestyle at the time because you had a bad knee.So you couldn't do any exercise yet. You still lost weight and a ton of weight. My weight is always secondary to my mental house. That's the one thing that I'm constantly working on and when I'm in a state of ketosis my mental health becomes so much more improved. It is incredible. So for me, When I'm not in a ketogenic state, what happens is I'm plagued by, sugar cravings and I think there's a lot of people out there. I know, especially people I talk to who come to camp that, food becomes the thing that they think about from the minute they wake up to the minute they go to sleep. There'll be other people that say, Oh my God, really? Yes. Actually, really that's, that's a reality for a lot, lot of people. And, and a lot of people do suffer, with, with mental health problems and depression. And I think because, and I don't know the exact science behind this, this Craig in too much detail, but what I do know is when your body is using the stores of fat that it already has, it doesn't scream at you to fill yourself with carbohydrates.Other benefits discussed in this podcast include:1. Low-Carb Diets Reduce Your Appetite2. Low-Carb Diets Lead to More Weight Loss at First3. A Greater Proportion of Fat Loss Comes From Your Abdominal Cavity4. Triglycerides Tend to Drop Drastically5. Increased Levels of 'Good' HDL Cholesterol6. Reduced Blood Sugar and Insulin Levels7. May Lower Blood Pressure8. Effective Against Metabolic Syndrome9. Improved 'Bad' LDL Cholesterol Levels10. S3-Ep20 Losing 17 kgs (2.5 Stone) in 33 Days With Mark NealeResidential rapid weight loss breaks➤ Conquer Food Programme - https://conquerfood.org/programme➤ TEAM Bootcamp - https://team-bootcamp.comTranscriptionI've got great guests for you today, with some mega insight into a massive chunk of weight loss. His name's Mark Neale and in 33 days, get this, lost 17 kilos! Just under three stone! Okay. Well, I'm a, I'm 52, and, I've always been a bodybuilder, always been in the gym, joined the army as a teenager, and that sort of started my fitness regime. Recently I have had a lot of personal and business problems. That just leads to no motivation to train, lots of motivation to eat the wrong things, to make yourself feel better. So all of my muscle tone went, and then I just built fat and started eating and drinking too much.I just started to think I needed to do something really significant. My life had come to a big crossroads, so I had a natural break in my professional life and natural break in my personal life. I just started searching the internet for a boot camp and that led me hereWhat things were you worried about?Yeah, very nervous. When I pulled up in the car the first Friday I turned up here and I remember pulling it into the driveway and my heart started racing. So when you've arrived at camp had you set some expectations for yourself?Physically I hadn't done anything for four years. I wasn't afraid physically but I was apprehensive cause I wasn't sure how much my body, 52 years old, how much my body could take. But there's been people through boot camp, 60 plus years old. What have you learned about yourself since being at camp? I've completely changed my attitude towards foods. I now spend probably three times longer in a shop because I'm looking at all the labels for kind of what's in the ingredient list. I'm now consciously making better decisions about what fuel I put into my body. Can you give listeners one tip for training, one tip of food 7 one tip for mindset? The only advice I can think of giving anyone that's going to come into this environment is you've just got to push yourself to the absolute limit. You'll be surprised at what you can achieve. What about a tip for food? Only because it's been drilled into us by the trainers... make sure you have lots of colourful food. If you look at a plate of colour, it's gonna be, a really healthy, exciting plate of food because it will be scattered with vegetables and different styles of meats. What about something that helps you maintain a positive mindset?Find all the best qualities in other people and import them into your own life and then spread that knowledge as much as you can. What does your future for you look like?So knowing what I've achieved in that first month, 17 kilos. , I can't even, I can't even guess where I'm going to be at the end of my journey because all I know that this natural break that we've, we're having to live with when we do start again, my body will be shocked again.Like it was in that first week and my first week I lost 12 pounds. Thanks for sharing your story, it's gonna be interesting to see where you at the end.

We're going to help you to think, eat, and move better. Ultimately, we're going to help you finally gain control and come Conquer Food.[00:00:21] Paula: [00:00:21] Yeah. I didn't realize he was starting that quickly. [00:00:39] Craig: [00:00:39] Yeah. So we've got, this is, this is, it's been awhile since we've done a podcast together. Just me and you, I'm looking forward to it. Togetherness, it's what everybody needs right now whilst we're on lockdown and in quarantine. okay. So I've got a particular topic I want to talk about today.[00:00:54] Before that, I want to kind of just set it all up a little bit. So it's obvious the, when Corvid 19. broke out the countries are, went into a bit of disruption and and people became scared. People became a little bit worried and anxious about what their future would hold.[00:01:14] And, and then to top it all off, we then got kind of locked up and our, our freedom, our ability to move around was then hindered. so we've got a load of people that are emotional for lots of different reasons, stuck at home. And I read a great quote yesterday, which is when you're sad or you're bored, don't make your, the fridge your happy place.[00:01:38] And Paula, that's kind of what I want to talk about. First of all. So, can you, can you talk to me a little bit about, has there been a time when the fridge has been your happy place and, and what was the consequences of that? [00:01:49] Paula: [00:01:49] Actually, my fridge has been, my happy place for the last five days. For the last five days without, without a shadow of a doubt.[00:01:57] And, last night I had to do some really strong kind of self-reflection because I've been, I've surrounded myself with really kind of positive things or listening to a lot of, meditations. And, and real. I used that actually. I'm not practising any of the things that I'm learning because as soon as I feel slightly worried, slightly anxious, slightly tense, the first thing I do is walk to our fridge and our fridge.[00:02:22] At the moment it looks like Christmas. It's full. and our fridge is never full. Ever, ever, ever fall. well, I mean, we, we, we felt obliged him because we've got my, we've got two sons who are those, and then we've got a house guest staying with us as well, in isolation. So we felt obliged that we should sort of top it up and fill it open, make sure there's food in.[00:24:52] Type two diabetes, insulin resistant. It just lists a load of stuff. Have you got a book, a recommended book that people can get? Paula: Yeah, dr Macola. what's the one with the big avocado on the front? What's it called for fuel. For fuel. Is that an amazing book? Amazing. Yeah, it's a great starting point for anyone to fat for fuel.Listen to the episode for full details[00:29:15] Just quickly, how much weight in tons is TEAM Bootcamp responsible for burning? Paula: I can't remember now.Craig: It was 49 tonsOkay. So thanks again for listening and join us again in the next episode of the conquer food show.Take care. So goodbye. Both: Bye bye.

So let's do this question.[00:01:15] Some justice. I've lost it. [00:01:17] Georgia: [00:01:17] I love, and the videos. Have you seen the chicken? [00:01:19] Craig: [00:01:19] Chicken. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:01:21] Georgia: [00:01:21] I need the chicken to be in every video she sends now. [00:01:25] Craig: [00:01:25] Right. So the first part, self-control with all things snacky, you know, I'm sure we go, sure. We little snack every now and again. We all love that little, that little bit of a devil on our shoulder.[00:01:38] Georgia: [00:01:38] I think it's things that you already know. There's, you could take away the snacks so you don't have the option to snack if you really don't want to, or you have snacks ready that are a slightly better choice rather than, you know, as we spoke about again, where you go look in each different cupboard and you're like, what do I want?[00:01:54] What will, if you have little things ready and prepared and the, you know, your goal, like those are your options. That's what you're going to choose rather than. The big bag of crisps in the cupboard or just don't buy the pink bag of Chris and then you don't have the option to eat it. I don't [00:24:26] Craig: Hey, I, I'm looking for some real inspiration from Nic for today's closing words[00:25:07] Nicola: [00:25:07] mine is going to be from the last podcast. I'm going to release it back out. Rise and shine people. So not just get out of your bed, but rise. Get up in the morning, how he can make the world better today. How you can make yourself better.[00:25:19] And the shine part is how are you going to expand that energy to other people? How are you going to share the goodness and the positivity with everyone around you? Rise and shine, [00:25:27] Craig: [00:25:27] right? Everyone give us a big rise and shine, and we're going to close this down. Three, two, one. RISE & SHINE

In this episode of the Conquer Food Podcast, I am joined by Nicola Summers and TEAM Bootcamp Chef Ricci as Nic shares her story before, during and after her 12-week Conquer Food Programme and the presents: Craig: Welcome to this latest episode of the podcast. Today we got Nicola, a former long-term boot camper, but now she has a different role in camp. An imperative---instrumental in the Conquer Food Program. In this episode, I am going to talk about Nic and her journey. I understand that you have some tips as a qualified and competent coach. What tip could you give to everybody, the kind that would make them sure that they hit their goals when they are at camp and when they leave camp? But before that, tell us more about your life before you start camp. Nicola: Before I came to camp I had a job that I pretty liked and had done all kinds of wrong. Each day, work was very stressful and I pressured myself to look after other people. I worked very long hours and didn't have a life essentially.Craig:Are you doing some fitness training? Nicola: No, there was no time. When things go stressful for me generally at work, then that would be the best time for me to go to the gym. In my mind, the gym was fine because there are certain things people should do at a certain time. But then, I got to the point where it wasn't stable and I was just doing it most of the time for the wrong reasons. It was not helping. That was my turning point. When I found that it was no longer serving me and I am just making secondary gains. I don't prioritize myself and I just keep on prioritizing other people. Craig: We tend to say that I don't have time for that, I don't have time for this. If you are saying that to yourself, then that's not a priority. Since you are talking about priorities now when you get out of that job, did you have a big realization? Nicola:I was not essential convinced to join conquer food but at that time the solution just presented itself. I have been through enough shit on that job and I eventually earned my redundancy. At that moment, everything in life seems to, all my priorities kind of change. I have questions like, "What am I doing with my life?", "where do I want to go?” What kind of work would I love to do?" So I took four months off and I have a great time reassessing what I want and what are my priorities. The top of my list is getting my health a lot more stable and losing some weight. Craig: As I have said before, "What is the difference between sugar and arsenic?" The time it takes to kill you. Sugar is acceptable because it took years, but it will kill you. Arsenic can kill you overnight and that is not acceptable. So, then what led to you coming to camp?Nicola: I made a decision months beforehand. I need to find something like a camp and I didn't just know it existed. I needed somewhere where I can focus on one thing because my mind was so busy. I googled, "Where to go to boot camp in the UK?" and I picked this one. Craig: I love hearing stories from your side about the program. Let us talk about your role now at the camp. You have done the course, you graduated from that, can you share your results? In that process of losing weight, what have you gained? Nicola: I lost eight and a half stone in total in twelve weeks. There are so many things I have gained. Being in camp I constantly hear people saying they want to lose x amounts of weight and fit into item clothing. And I feel happy realizing that I have the same goals. Craig: You can't bullshit yourself. Sometimes it is a massive realization that you alone can save yourself. Can you give us your top five tips Nic? Nicola: First thing is, to reassess where you are and where to go next. When at camp or at Conquer Food you ha

In this Episode: How TEAM Bootcamp training works in wet weather and the cold.COACH PROFILE: Ashley, a life coach, and fitness instructor. Working in the fitness industry for 22 years. It all started when I saw an advertisement about team boot camp then I said I'm going to go. The moment I came here. Things you did before boot camp in the fitness world? I started up as a fitness instructor and have been a personal trainer too. I have also tried being a manager, sales talk. I enjoyed doing those kinds of stuff a lot. What kind of new skills have you developed? My skills as a manager, in trying to manage the individual groups in here comes very handy. Being aware of people's abilities, motilities, differences, regressions to people—I have always been mindful of that. Especially with what we have done today in survival skills and techniques, fishing, and making fire, it's all fun. You are an expert camper, but let's say there is someone out there that thinks I am different than everybody else, has never done exercise, no extreme physical activities, how do you guarantee that everybody's going to get what they need? What's the maximum number of people you can train? In one day? 60 people I may say. We make it work. We have the weight-in process when people arrive before we train them we are talking to them. Looking at the medical records, talking about their abilities, any injuries they got, and from that, we give them a functional assessment. “As a trainer, I don't care if you can run around at all. It's just the thought that you're hungry for something and you are pushing yourself.”---ASHHow much of a factor in your opinion is the weather on people's results? The results in the winter are unbelievable, eight or nine inches of snow and we are out there having the most amazing sessions and we see results. “One would say that, "That was impossible". NO! For campers it doesn't matter what's going on outside. What scares them is when they wake up and we don't lift that weight off them. We don't allow it to stop us.”--ASHWinter weather brings an immense amount of challenge, and probably bring a lot of pride, excuse that fear. What kind of countermeasures if you have, what do you do to get on with the weather? We are out there, we are in the elements, we can switch, and we can change a lot. “You realize no one cares what you look like at camp. There is no point in getting yourself a makeup when you go out. It's liberating and makes you feel free at most.”---ASHWe have termed it "The facility". (The dawn of a new era at team boot camp) An indoor training environment, a cross-fit functioning facility but still maintains the feel of a field in a boot camp and it's going to be a place where you can get out of the elements. This is coming in the next couple of weeks. Ash, can you tell me how excited are you about the facility? What do you think it's going to bring? It’s going to be a game-changer. We are already good at training outside but now that we have this facility, it will be going to give us a different dimension. This would allow us to get and an extra bit of intensity from the campers.Let's talk about the campers. How many campers have you seen go through now? What would you say like people's biggest fear when they come? What do you think is the thing that they should concentrate on? Maybe I have seen thousands of campers come and go. How much courage would it take for them to come and see that weight off? For them, the most motivating factor is when they see the progression.

Welcome to the Conquer Food Podcast where Paula and Craig Williams share tips, tricks & strategies from the coal face of the weight loss industry in the UK. The aim si to help you THINK, EAT and MOVE better and help you finally GAIN CONTROL and Conquer Food.FOOD AND NUTRITION INSIGHT FROM CONQUER FOOD CHEF RICCI MUSSIPodcasters welcome to the next episode. I've got a great guest who's featured on one of these episodes before and but as a long-term boot camper on the conquer food program, he's now progressed from there is levelled up. His now superhuman status because he is now a chef at Camp, to provide a lot of food. I've just been talking into what is quite possibly well know which most definitely the best lasagna is. I've had him ever had in my life. What are your final results being at the program? The mindset has been the biggest thing for me. (Rucci)Obviously, in the camp where I met people that changed my life away. I have this completely new outlook on everything. Before I wasn't even thinking about any kind of mindset work, or meditation, or NLP or any of that stuff. I try to process this thought and I realized that if you don't try to do everything to go with it, it's useless. It's the same thing as everyone says in coaching, "It only works if the person wants to change". If you practice mindset, you practice all these exercises, and all these things said and don't do anything about it. That's the biggest thing God has taken away from me, and you know it is not even more once you have been through. In that stage or part of your journey, when you fail, you know there is more than failing. Failing is just one area and it is not everything. It makes you more aware of life. “I try to process this thought and I realized that if you don't try to do everything to go with it, it's useless. It's the same thing as everyone says in coaching, "It only works if the person wants to change".”--RICCII know you have some pretty harsh critics because you've got people that are tired, hungry, and famished as well. We have a weight problem, sugar problem, or food-addiction problem because we are making the wrong choices. So we cannot give you the ability to make your own choice. Campers would complain about being hungry, about not getting anything, about getting too little."You just have to trust us”. We are not just weighting in, we're not just putting stuff in a plate and then that will do. Everything we do comes from a place that we know works. “Everything we do comes from a place that we know works. We have done this for a long time, here and elsewhere, we know what works and everything we do is for a reason. “--RICCIWhen it comes to nutrition, we have to control your blood sugar and insulin. The food group that has the biggest effect on that sugar is protein. If we over-consume protein, the body is going to react and in the process of messing around with it, it can spike insulin in a very similar way if you consume sugar. “Anything in excess is bad for you. We must include moderation in everything we do.”--RICCIBehind the scenes in the kitchen: What's going to happen with the foods as we move into the colder months, wetter months? we have launched our Autumn Menu, more into some stews and the warmer dishes. We Nigerian pepper soup and everyone loves it too and it's great. With my back
