Focusing and Self-Discovery with Jeffrey Morrison on The Living Process with Greg Madison. Episode 28 In this episode, I welcome Jeffrey Morrison who is well-known in our community as a Focusing Oriented Therapist and Teacher of Focusing. Jeffrey and I outline his interesting journey from philosophy and theology through existential-phenomenological therapy into the world of Focusing and Gendlin's philosophy. We discuss the importance of structure when teaching a natural process, as well as psychedelics and the role of death awareness in developing spirituality. We touch on Jeffrey's interest in trauma, neuroscience, the role of the physical body, and also how Focusing can help us avoid joining the polarised conflicts that are plaguing our world. Jeffrey studied philosophy, and religion before concentrating on psychology after being exposed to Focusing. He has worked in various settings with adolescents, parents, and teachers. He has trained in Family System Therapy, Adlerian Psychology, meditation, aspects of Feldenkrais, Zen, and recently co-wrote a chapter on Polyvagal Theory and trauma. He operates his clinical practice as well as offering certifying courses in FOT in Seattle and Vashon Island, Washington, as well as online. He is a Certifying Coordinator with The International Focusing Institute. The Washington Commanders beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-24 at home in an EPIC overtime game to move to 11-5 on the season and have officially clinched a spot in the playoffs. The 11-5 start to the season is the best since the 1991 season where they won the Superbowl. This game was all about the superstar rookie QB Jayden Daniels, who went 24/36 for 227 yards and 3 TDs, including the game-winner to Zach Ertz in overtime, and 1 INT. He also added 127 yards on the ground on 16 carries. Olamide Zaccheaus caught 8 balls for 85 yards and 1 TD, whil Terry McLaurin only had 1 catch for 5 yards in this game. The defense did not have a good game against Bijan Robinson, giving up over 90 yards on the ground to him, along with 2 TDs on 17 carries. Michael Penix made his road and primetime debut and looked shaky at times, but dialed in when the moments were brightest, converting 2 4th downs on their penultimate drive, including a 4th and goal to Kyle Pitts for a game-tying TD, and marching the Falcons down the field for a potential game-winning 56 yard field goal that Riley Patterson hit short. Send us a textIn this live episode of "2 Giants Goofballs: New York Giants News & Updates," Drew and Rob cover all the latest news surrounding the New York Giants and preview their upcoming matchup against the Cleveland Browns. With a focus on the NFC East and the Giants' latest roster moves, the hosts dig deep into what the team needs to do to get back on track. The Giants have made several roster adjustments, including signing veteran kicker Greg Joseph off the Lions' practice squad. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, the 30-year-old kicker brings plenty of experience, having played for multiple teams since entering the NFL in 2018. His most notable stint was with the Minnesota Vikings, where he played from 2021 to 2023. With an 82.6% field goal accuracy and 90.1% on extra points, Joseph is expected to fill a critical role, especially after some struggles in the kicking game. Before signing Joseph, the Giants also worked out several other kickers, including Randy Bullock, Zan Gonzalez, Riley Patterson, and practice squad kicker Jude McAtamney. In addition to Joseph, the Giants have added linebacker Patrick Johnson, a former 7th-round pick out of Tulane. Released by the Eagles to make room for ex-Giant Nick Gates, Johnson has spent most of his NFL career contributing on special teams. With injuries to key special teams players like Carter Coughlin and Matthew Adams, Johnson is expected to bolster this unit. His experience as a defensive end and linebacker could also give him opportunities in the Giants' pass rush. The hosts also discuss the Giants' recent trade deal with the Dallas Cowboys. Jordan Phillips was traded during training camp, and with his playing time condition met, the Giants now receive a 6th-round pick in 2026 in exchange for their 7th-round pick. Despite the Giants' struggles in the run game, Drew and Rob agree that this trade appears to be the right move, especially given Phillips' low performance with the Cowboys so far.One of the more intriguing discussions in the episode is Mike Francesa's recent comments about Giants head coach Brian Daboll. Francesa speculates that Daboll may be feeling the pressure, suggesting that he's lost some of the swagger he had in his first season. While Francesa's comments may seem exaggerated, it raises questions about whether Daboll's change in demeanor is impacting the Giants' performance. The episode takes a reflective turn as the hosts celebrate the nomination of Eli Manning for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Eli is one of seven Giants nominated, joining other Giants greats like Tiki Barber, Jeremy Shockey, and Justin Tuck. The discussion touches on whether Eli will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, as this class of nominees doesn't feature a large number of standout first-year eligible candidates, which could work in Eli's favor. As the focus shifts to the Giants' upcoming game against the Browns, Drew and Rob provide a comprehensive preview. The Browns, coming off a win against the Jaguars, still have significant offensive struggles. Deshaun Watson has yet to find his rhythm, completing just 8.2% of his passes for 355 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. The Browns' run game, however, has shown Support the showAll Episodes are shot LIVE with fan interactions on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, & TwitchSponsor the show at: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsInterested in starting a podcast. DETROIT -- — The Detroit Lions can trace their turnaround to hitting more than missing in the draft. Jimmy Garropolo is the WORST QB ever says Devante Adams Jimmy Garropolo is the WORST QB ever says Devante Adams Jimmy Garropolo is the WORST QB ever says Devante Adams Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta are the latest examples. Gibbs ran for a season-high 152 yards and a touchdown, LaPorta had eight receptions for 57 yards with a score, and the rookies helped the Lions beat the Las Vegas Raiders 26-14 on Monday night. “We wanted to get Gibbs going,” coach Dan Campbell said. “You could tell he was feeling it.” The NFC North-leading Lions (6-2) stalled on three early drives, turned the ball over three times, missed a field goal and still won by double digits. “When your defense plays that good, you can overcome that,” Campbell said. Jared Goff threw an interception that Marcus Peters returned 75 yards for a touchdown early in the third quarter, allowing Las Vegas (3-5) to pull within two points. Detroit's next drive ended when Craig Reynolds fumbled at the Raiders 3. The Lions kept the ball on their third drive of the second half, taking a two-score lead on Gibbs' 27-yard touchdown run. Riley Patterson made a 52-yard field goal to give Detroit a 12-point lead early in the fourth. That was a comfortable cushion against the offensively challenged Raiders. Las Vegas welcomed the return of Jimmy Garoppolo, but lamented that he threw a league-leading ninth interception one play after the Raiders recovered a fumble in the first quarter. Kerby Joseph picked off Garoppolo's lofted pass into double coverage toward Davante Adams in the end zone. “This was definitely a bad day,” Garoppolo said. “I just have to be smart with the ball.” Sometimes, he didn't have much of a chance. Midway through the fourth, trying to rally, the Raiders gave up sacks on three of four snaps and turned it over on downs at their 28. In all, Las Vegas allowed its beat-up quarterback to get sacked six times. Garoppolo, who missed six quarters because of a back injury, was 10 of 21 for 126 yards. Even when Garoppolo had time to throw and an open receiver, he misfired — as he did when Adams was all alone deep down field late in the game. When that series ended, the standout receiver slammed his helmet on the sideline and sat disgustedly on the Raiders' bench. Josh Jacobs' lackluster season continued. The 2022 All-Pro running back finished with 15 carries for 61 yards and a 3-yard touchdown late in the first half that cut the Raiders' deficit to 9-7. That was their only score on offense. “I thought we did have some opportunities to make more plays on offense than we did, but we didn't make them," embattled coach Josh McDaniels said. "We just couldn't string together each enough plays in the passing game.” Detroit did. Goff completed 26 of 37 passes for 272 yards with an 18-yard strike to LaPorta for a touchdown that put Detroit up 16-7 late in the first half. Amon-Ra St. Brown had six catches for 108 yards. Entering the game, Las Vegas had held an NFL-high five teams to fewer than 200 yards passing. Detroit also had a dynamic running game to keep the Raiders on their heels. Gibbs, the No. 12 pick overall, had a season-high 26 carries and five receptions for 37 yards. “He's a very talented player with a very dynamic skill set," McDaniels said. vis @espn Social: Twitch-http://twitch.tv/GmiasWorld Facebook-http://www.facebook.com/GmiasWorld Twitter-https://www.twitter.com/GmiasWorld Donate:https://streamlabs.com/gmiasworld Instagram-https://www.instagram.com/GmiasWorld GmiasWorld Merch: https://gmiasworld.myspreadshop.com Background Music (Exclusive) by @ZaneAlexanderNC

The Lions signed Michael Badgley to the practice squad yesterday
Mike and Rico tell you what they believe to be the Detroit Lions biggest weakness heading into the season.
On NFL cutdown day, the Lions surprise a lot of people with the release of RB Craig Reynolds. Detroit has just two RB's on their active roster right now and five Wide Receivers. Matt Dery goes over the 53 man and some names as possible RB candidates to join the team. Also, 21 offensive players and 29 on defense. What about the kicking situation? Riley Patterson has made it but reports say Detroit has talked to teams about trades. #firstlistenSupport Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!GametimeDownload the Gametime app, create an account, and use code LOCKEDONNFL for $20 off your first purchase. Riley Patterson is an NFL kicker with the Detroit Lions. He was traded by the Jaguars to Detroit in May of 2023. Last season, Patterson helped the Jaguars to the AFC South title hitting on 30 of 35 field goals and 36 of 37 extra points to total 126 points. In the AFC Wild-Card matchup against the Chargers, Patterson hit the game-winning 36 yard field goal with no time left to give Jacksonville a 31-30 victory over the Chargers. Today on the podcast, we talk to Riley Patterson about going from being released to kicking in the playoffs, focusing on God in the midst of a pressure-filled moment, using his platform to point others to Christ and finding his identity in Jesus and not his performance. One day after head coach Dan Campbell said the team would explore alternatives at the position, the Lions are signing Riley Patterson off the New England Patriots practice squad, the team announced Tuesday. An undrafted free agent out of Memphis, Patterson initially signed with the Minnesota Vikings before suffering an undisclosed injury that landed him on injured reserve. After being released with a settlement, he joined the Patriots last month. At Memphis, Patterson made 64 of his 83 field-goal attempts across four seasons, with a career-long of 56 yards. He earned all-conference honors in 2019 after converting 23 of 25 attempts. He also handled kickoffs for the school, securing a touchback on 162 of the 295 attempts. For the time being, Patterson will replace Ryan Santoso, who was filling in for the injured Austin Seibert, continuing Detroit's odyssey to replace Matt Prater, who departed as a free agent this offseason, signing a two-year, $6.5-million contract with the Arizona Cardinals.Lions' Decker angry and annoyed with media negativity, trade speculationAllen Park — In a vacuum, Detroit Lions offensive Taylor Decker could have ignored the talk radio, internet and social media chatter. But we don't live in a vacuum, and the negative commentary that percolated during the two months he was sidelined by injury seeped into every aspect of his life. His friends sent him articles, his neighbors asked him about it when he was walking the dog, but when speculation he could be traded by the Detroit Lions reached his parents and he had to address their concerns, it was more than Decker could handle. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2021/11/15/lions-decker-angry-and-annoyed-media-negativity-trade-speculation/8629894002/https://nfltraderumors.co/top-50-2021-nfl-free-agents/Mel Tucker-https://www.si.com/nfl/lions/news/mel-tucker-contract-could-be-held-up-power-strugglehttps://www.espn.in/college-football/story/_/id/32647199/oklahoma-lincoln-riley-downplays-speculation-interest-lsu-job
