Welcome to Jake's Happy Nostalgia Show, the podcast where nostalgia comes alive! In this episode, we had the great pleasure of speaking with someone who not only shaped our childhoods, but generations of childhoods! We're joined by none other than Greg Page — Australian singer, performer, and the original Yellow Wiggle of children's music group, The Wiggles! Greg takes us back to the early days before The Wiggles, sharing stories from his teenage years playing in bands like Dead Giveaway and his time as a roadie for pub rock band The Cockroaches — where he met future Wiggle bandmates Anthony Field and Jeff Fatt. We also dive into how studying early childhood education at Macquarie University led him to cross paths with Murray Cook and, ultimately, the formation of The Wiggles. Greg reflects on recording their debut album, some of his favorite songs he wrote, and the group's journey to international success — including their breakthrough in the U.S. We also touch on Greg's sudden cardiac arrest in 2020. He opens up about that life-changing moment and how it sparked a powerful mission to raise awareness about heart health. We also discuss Greg's recent venture into the world of musical theater, where he portrays the role of Franklin D. Roosevelt in the Australian production of Annie the Musical.Special thanks to our guest co-host Tyler for joining us again!

Anthony Field is a founding member of the children's musical supergroup The Wiggles. He's the blue one - and the last of the original group of four remaining. He's just released a book - called "Out of the Blue".
The Wiggles have been going strong for over three decades, and their lineup has changed a bit along the way. Going from four to eight, the current lineup includes the original Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field, alongside a cast of newer faces: Tsehay Hawkins, Lachy Gillespie, Simon Pryce, Evie Ferris, John Pearce, Caterina Mete, and Lucia Field. Tsehay Hawkins joined the Wiggles at age 15, taking over from Emma Watkins as the Yellow Wiggle in 2021. "That was a pretty, pretty surreal moment,” she told Jack Tame. The Wiggles team is a pretty close-knit group, Hawkins revealed. “Everyone's friends, we're all actually mates, so that makes it so much easier.” “It doesn't feel like work.” The Wiggles are coming to New Zealand this summer, bringing their Sound System Dance Party to Christchurch and Mount Maunganui. It's our first-ever dedicated dance festival for toddlers, featuring reimagined dance versions of the classic hits, and Dorothy the Dinosaur on the turntables. “She's levelled up,” Hawkins said. “She still does all the Wiggle stuff, but now we've got remixes of the OG Wiggles songs, but we've made it like, club vibes. We've got full house, techno, and that's what we're doing in January next year.” “We're so stoked to be coming back.” For more information, visit kyaevents.co.nz. Would you bloody believe it, we've manage to lock down Anthony Field a.k.a the Blue Wiggle for a chat. Anthony has lived one hell of a life - 3 years in the army, accidentally falling into a career in early education and then helping create one of the most prolific music groups of all time. The Wiggles have knocked up 30 million combined sales in CDs and DVDs and released 12 platinum albums since their formation in 1991. In addition to this, Anthony is also a great dad to three beautiful kids. On today's Zero Limits Podcast I head down to the famous Wiggle studio and sit down with Anthony Field aka the Blue Wiggle and former 5/7 RAR Australian Army infantry soldier. Anthony was born 8 May 1963 is an Australian musician, actor, songwriter and producer. He is best known as a leader of the children's group the Wiggles and a member of the 1980s and 1990s pop band the Cockroaches. While still a teenager, he helped found the Cockroaches with his brothers, Paul and John. The Cockroaches recorded two albums and enjoyed moderate success, interrupted by Field's service in Australia's regular army, until they disbanded in the late 1980s.Field attended Macquarie University to receive training in early childhood education, and founded the Wiggles with fellow students Murray Cook, Greg Page and former bandmate Jeff Fatt in 1991. He worked as a preschool teacher for two years before the success of the Wiggles led him to focus on children's music full-time. The Wiggles became one of the most successful and active groups in Australia. Field, who wears a blue shirt while performing with the Wiggles, was responsible for the production aspects of their stage and television shows, albums, and DVDs. His issues with chronic pain and depression, which almost forced him out of the group at the height of their success, are well-documented. After the departure of Cook, Fatt, and Page in 2012, he is the only remaining original Wiggle. Get ready for this one! We're running a little behind with the Wests Tigers Podcast this week, but it's a case of good things do come to those who wait! Eddie Otto has jumped into the hosting chair and is joined by Garry Watson and Declan McCutcheon for this edition. The boys take a look back at the Wests Tigers' performance against the South Sydney Rabbitohs on Saturday afternoon. The game left a lot of us scratching our heads - was it a good game by the Tigers? Have we completely forgotten how to play attacking football? And, should we be disappointed that we didn't push the table-topping Bunnies for a win? Eddie, Garry, and Declan try to make sense of it all. There's plenty of listener and Wests Tigers Podcast Forum member feedback too! Eddie invents a new game - true or false. The Draft has returned for another week. This time Eddie gives the other guys three draft picks each on a number of pressing Wests Tigers issues, Shaun Johnson is apparently in the mix to come to the Wests Tigers for the next two seasons, good move? And what does this mean for Brooks and Wakeham in 2024? And what do the boys make of the Anthony Field story that dominated Wests Tigers chatter last week?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Wiggles are one of the most successful children's entertainment groups in history. Guiding them for 24 years was Paul Field, brother of founder and blue Wiggle, Anthony Field. What you may not know about Paul and Anthony is that prior to The Wiggles they were pop stars in Australia with the band The Cockroaches, alongside their brother John as well as future purple Wiggle, Jeff Fatt. Last year Paul retired from managing The Wiggles and he's just released his first ever solo album called Love Songs For Lonely People. Featuring guests such as Jimmy Barnes and Australian country musician Kasey Chambers, it's a collection of originals and covers of songs Paul has always loved. We talk about that album in this interview, as well as Paul's days in The Cockroaches playing alongside bands like INXS, and how those experiences helped inform the way The Wiggles operated as they climbed to global stardom.
In this episode Paul The Barefoot Podiatrist talks with the Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field about why he stopped wearing shoes, and how being barefoot has helped improve his overall health and wellbeing. Paul also tries prompting Anthony into having the wiggles write a song to spread the message of the benefits of healthy feet.
