It was another busy week for the Biden Administration, as Israel's war against Hamas continues, with Israeli forces pushing deeper into Gaza. FOX News Political Anchor and Washington Correspondent Jared Halpern discusses the Biden Administration's messaging on the war and its efforts to send aid into the Gaza Strip. Jared also touches upon renewed concerns by mayors across the United States about the ongoing crisis at the Southern Border, and the President's trip to Lewiston, Maine to meet with survivors of the recent mass shooting in the state. Tuesday is Election Day, and the Kentucky gubernatorial race remains close, as incumbent Governor Andy Beshear and Attorney General Daniel Cameron are polling at 47%, according to Emerson College Polling. While the Bluegrass state may decide to keep its Democratic Governor, Virginia Democrats are using Governor Glenn Youngkin's proposed 15-week abortion ban to urge voters to reject GOP votes in the State House and Senate races. The Senate and Governors Editor for the Cook Political Report, Jessica Taylor, explains why Governor Beshear remains popular and why the issue of abortion highlights bigger issues heading into 2024. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and his Republican allies have been working to prevent a government shutdown next weekend, but are facing pushback from members of the Freedom Caucus. The inter-party conflict has created paralysis in the House, and members will have a short window to prevent a shutdown when they return to Capitol Hill Tuesday. Meanwhile, in the Senate, there is controversy over the new relaxed dress code, and senators like Pennsylvania's John Fetterman who are now opting out of their formalwear. FOX News Senior Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram has the scoop on shutdowns, spending bills, and sweatpants on the Senate floor. With only a few months left until the 2023 Kentucky gubernatorial election, Democratic Incumbent Governor Andy Beshear and challenger Attorney General Daniel Cameron are gearing up their campaigns. Voters there will decide whether they want to keep the state blue...or flip it back to their traditional red. Political Science Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky Dr. Stephen Voss shares his insight as to whether he thinks Beshear, although well-liked, can survive in a deeply red state and whether Cameron campaigning on a very strict abortion policy will fly in the bluegrass state. We decided to release some really critical bonus episodes on a hot button issue today which is the Breonna Taylor case. It is still within our series on Race and Western Christianity, but since it wasn't in chronological order, we are releasing 3 episodes on the case as a bonus episode. We did this because we were sick and tired of alternative facts on both the liberal and the conservative side. Therefore we decided to break everything down from start-to-finish, looking at all the evidence. In the end, we determine who's guilty, who should be held accountable, and why! And trust us it doesn't end like how you think it will. We put a great deal of effort into gathering this information for you, so we really hope you enjoy it and if you find it worthy, we ask that you share it and help spread the truth. Let's kill the false narratives that are currently swarming us and set a new standard for the information we receive. We took a month off. But we're back just in time to prepare ya'll for the election. Trump has COVID because SCIENCE, and it's slowly spreading in the White House (by slowly we mean quickly, because PANDEMIC). Senate confirmation hearings for Amy Coney Barrett are still scheduled to proceed despite Mike Lee and Thom Tillis testing positive for the VID, but voting may not be able to take place if they don't recover and/or if more senators catch what's going around. Who will win COVID Bingo? Stay tuned to find out! Grand Jury testimony from the Breonna Taylor case was released on Friday after a juror challenged Attorney General Daniel Cameron of misrepresenting the proceedings to the public. It's clear that Cameron presented a case to defend the police instead of fulfilling the role of the “people's lawyer” and demanding justice for Breonna. RIP Thomas Jefferson Byrd. Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old unarmed woman, was fatally shot in her Louisville, Kentucky apartment on March 13, 2020, when a search warrant was executed by Louisville Metro Police Department officers Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove. In most recent news, Attorney General (Daniel Cameron), gave a statement, after months of investigating the Breonna Taylor case, about the grand jury's decision to charge only one of the Louisville officers involved in the Breonna Taylor's death. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has refused to release grand jury transcripts related to the Breonna Taylor case despite growing public calls to do so by the Louisville mayor, the Kentucky governor, and Taylor's family's attorneys. But that all changed late Monday (September 28th) evening when Cameron announced he would comply with a judge's ruling ordering a recording of the grand jury presentation be added to the court's case file. Will the rampant voter suppression be addressed in time for the November 3rd election? When is the next election for a new Kentucky AG? Should collegiate athletes be paid, especially if they're forced to play during these Covid times? How can working parents get help as virtual school is back in session? All is discussed! It's not everyday you can reunite with college classmates and friends whom you started your career journey with. The Urban League is on the forefront of making change, so we want to know exactly what they're doing and how we can all get involved. Lyndon holds a Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration and has joined the Louisville Urban League as their Chief Engagement Officer after several years of experience in University student affairs and student development. He manages the Youth Development and Education Department and the Health Education and Policy Department, in addition to all League communications. So, he has the perfect insight and expertise to speak on what's happening on the ground in Kentucky. Have you ever been hangry? We start the Check-In with L.O. retelling his latest experience with Grubhub/Seamless who clearly has him confused with someone who goes for the okie doke by offering him 50% off for food that was never delivered. Rick talks his standoff with a litterbug neighbor who thought it was ok to dump trash in front of his house. Vin rants about the homeless problem in the subway system and the feckless mayor of New York City, Bill de Blasio. Mack wraps up the segment with his talks of COVID-19 fears in his neighborhood and how no one is taking the mandated health precautions seriously in the Bronx. In the next segment, we discuss our personal wellness plans and how we are maintaining our physical and mental health throughout the pandemic. We all know that it's time to push away from the comfort foods and start eating better and exercising. It's also important to seek a mental health profession to keep us grounded and discuss how this affects our minds. Lastly, we discuss the Breonna Taylor case and it's connection to a gentrification program named the Vision Russell plan. The relationship between the Mayor's office, the city planning and police department are raising some serious questions of impropriety that may be having a direct impact on the delayed justice so many seek for Breonna. Let's all continue to put pressure on the following people and offices to see that justice is delivered for Breonna and her family.
