The Washington Commanders defeated the New York Giants on the road 27-22 to complete the sweep on the season. The Commanders move to 7-2 on the season, 2-0 in the NFC East, and remain the 2 seed in the NFC playoff picture. Jayden Daniels was calm, poised, and efficient, going 15/22 for 209 yards and 2 TDs. Terry McLaurin feasted, scoring 2 TDs and Chris Rodriguez Jr stepped up in place of Brian Robinson, who missed the game with a hamstring injury, rushing 11 times for 52 yards in his absence. The defense got gashed on the ground, but came up big when it needed to. Dante Fowler forced a fumble on a sack that Bobby Wagner recovered, and the defense made multiple key stops to keep the Giants at bay long enough to secure the W. Jeremy Chinn led the team in tackles with 13 on the day. The Comment Mailbag had 18 comments. Thank you all for the comments! We greatly appreciate them as always. Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young reported to Ashburn on Monday ahead of the team's mandatory minicamp starting Tuesday. With minicamp starting this week, Young made his way to the team facility for photo day, but it's in the practices and the upcoming season where the fourth-year defensive end really needs to show up. He's not the only one, however, as tight end John Bates may have his spot on the depth chart challenged by a once again healthy Cole Turner. Then, running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. has done well for himself in a short period of time, as safety Percy Butler is benefitting from additional reps with Kamren Curl sitting out team drills. They're the two players who need to keep doing what they've already done to keep up their efforts. Finally, there are updates on the Commanders' sale front from ESPN's John Keim and the Washington Post. Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young reported to Ashburn on Monday ahead of the team's mandatory minicamp starting Tuesday. With minicamp starting this week, Young made his way to the team facility for photo day, but it's in the practices and the upcoming season where the fourth-year defensive end really needs to show up.He's not the only one, however, as tight end John Bates may have his spot on the depth chart challenged by a once again healthy Cole Turner. Then, running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. has done well for himself in a short period of time, as safety Percy Butler is benefitting from additional reps with Kamren Curl sitting out team drills. They're the two players who need to keep doing what they've already done to keep up their efforts. Finally, there are updates on the Commanders' sale front from ESPN's John Keim and the Washington Post.Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

Washington Commanders receiver Jahan Dotson spoke at a youth camp held by Next Gen Camps about his experience with young athletes, the arrival of assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, and more! At a Next Gen Camps youth football camp in Upper Marlboro, MD on Saturday, Commanders receiver Jahan Dotson spent time with young athletes going through drills and offering tips for success while taking part in some friendly competition. He also took time to speak with us about the arrival of coach Bieniemy, his role in the new offense, and what it means to have teammates he can rely on. One of those teammates, cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields, joined Dotson at the event held at Riverdale Baptist School where he once played high school football before joining Dotson at Penn State University, and eventually on to the NFL together. Then, we continue examining the comments from coordinators and coaches including Bieniemy, special teams coordinator Nate Kaczor, and running backs coach Randy Jordan. The topic today is mainly rookie running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. and his potential roles on the team. Finally, with Washington ranking sixth in the NFL in operational income the last three years it's no surprise Dan and Tanya Snyder weren't in a rush to sell. Locked On Louisville - Daily Podcast On Louisville Cardinals Football & Basketball
Dalton discusses what is at stake for the Louisville Cardinals in the upcoming regular season finale against the Kentucky Wildcats. A win for Scott Satterfield's team would significantly increase morale and momentum heading into the offseason, while a loss would hurt morale depending on the point margin. Already having seven wins, Satterfield's job is likely not at stake. Dalton identifies the starting quarterback (Malik Cunningham or Brock Domann), and linebackers Yasir Abdullah and Momo Sanogo as the key players to watch for Louisville. With the offensive struggles still concerning, the Cardinals need to create momentum early in the game. Abdullah and Sanogo will be tasked with getting after Will Levis and working to stop the solid Kentucky rushing attack. Running back Chris Rodriguez Jr, wide receiver Barion Brown, and linebacker D'Eryk Jackson are the key players to watch for the Wildcats. Rodriguez and Brown are two of the SEC‘s most electric players, while Jackson will be relied upon defensively with DeAndre Square still battling injury. Locked On Gamecocks - Daily Podcast On South Carolina Gamecocks Football & Basketball
On today's show, Andrew delves into the world of hypotheticals regarding both a potential win or loss for the Shane Beamer's South Carolina Gamecocks against Mark Stoops' Kentucky Wildcats, on the heels of rampant speculation on the status of Kentucky star quarterback Will Levis for this contest. He leads the show with what Will Levis' potential absence from Kentucky's starting lineup would do in terms of putting redshirt freshman Kaiya Sheron in a tough spot & making South Carolina defensive coordinator Clayton White potentially rethink his defensive gameplan, along with what it all means for expectations of South Carolina heading into the matchup.Andrew then discusses what a win for South Carolina would look like, discussing the need to make Kentucky one dimensional, slow down running back Chris Rodriguez Jr., the momentum and confidence boost it would give the team especially in terms of playing on the road and how it would regain some of the trust of the national media especially.Lastly, he talks about what a loss would like for South Carolina, focusing on the potential for Will Levis to play and make South Carolina pay with his scrambling ability, along with the possibility that Chris Rodriguez Jr. and the Wildcats running back group run wild on the Gamecocks defensive front or the offense being unable to keep Spencer Rattler upright and get into a rhythm overall. He also pontificates on the potential questioning and/or backlash the program would get from both the collective media and the fanbase if they were to lose to Kentucky without Will Levis being in the lineup.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!LinkedInLinkedIn jobs helps you find the candidates you want to talk to, faster. Locked On Gamecocks - Daily Podcast On South Carolina Gamecocks Football & Basketball
On today's show, Andrew breaks down the weapons that Mark Stoops' Kentucky Wildcat squad on offense in Will Levis, Chris Rodriguez and the RB unit and Tayvion Robinson and the WR, and how they present matchup problems for the Gamecocks defense. He starts with Will Levis, discussing how he has seemed to improve slightly from his up and down play overall in 2021 and what traits make him a solid above average quarterback, specifically noting his big frame. Andrew then discusses Chris Rodriguez Jr., Kavosiey Smoke and Lavell Wright, particularly how Rodriguez is such a great traditional throwback at the running back position and what makes him hard to stop, the diversity Smoke brings to the field from a skillset standpoint and why Lavell Wright is viewed by the Wildcat fanbase as the next great running back at Kentucky. He then talks about Tavyion Robinson, Barrion Brown and Dane Key at the wide receiver position, specifically why Robinson could be a problem for whoever plays nickel corner for South Carolina due to a combination of his route running ability and the Gamecock secondary's recent trend regarding penalties. Andrew also mentions how Brown and Key's size could pose some problems for South Carolina's outside corners. Lastly, Andrew gives his final opinion on who he thinks the biggest offensive threat is that the South Carolina Gamecocks have to worry about in their matchup against Kentucky.
