Born and raised in Baytown, Texas; Ty grew up with a passion for Blues, Southern Rock and Country Music. Influenced by the music of Darius Rucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Keith Urban, his strong vocals and smooth tone blend together for a new twist on country music that penetrates the soul. At 7 years old he began playing drums on his brothers drum set; he was given his first guitar at the age of 11 and immediately fell in love with playing it. During his high school years he participated in band as a percussionist, but inevitably his heart was drawn back to guitar when he discovered his talent for singing and entertaining friends. After graduating in 2011, Ty chose to pursue music as a full time career. He spent the better part of the last decade, playing lead guitar for various Texas Country artists. He honed his own singing and songwriting talent and gained experience at local venues and dancehalls across Texas, earning him the opportunity to play with talented artists such as Wade Bowen, Roger Creager, Mike Ryan, Adam Hood, Cory Morrow, Chad Cooke Band and many others. On June 12, 2020, Ty released his first EP of original music. On February 11, 2022, Ty debuted his first release to Texas Radio with the single "Fix Your Broken Heart" which reached Number #29 on the Texas Charts! His newest single, "Don't Care About It Now" was released on September 2, 2022 and is climbing the charts! Demand on the Texas power grid has already surpassed the projected summer peak, about a month earlier than expected, with another all-time high of 77,460 megawatts set on Tuesday. Restrictions including a GPS tracker and passport surrender are being discussed as part of bond terms for murder suspect Kaitlin Armstrong. The real story here though, is that her release, after six weeks on an international flight from a murder charge, is being discussed at all. A new Texas State University study shows that three separate opportunities to stop the Robb Elementary shooter last month were missed by law enforcement officers. A lawsuit has been filed in Travis County against the owners of a short-term rental in Comfort in which cameras had been installed in its bedrooms, and against Austin-based Vrbo, via which the plaintiffs rented the space. A new UT/Texas Politics Project poll finds most Texans opposing abortion bans, and historic highs for respondents who believe our state is on the wrong track. Austin FC has announced the addition of Ecuadorian winger Washington Corozo, on a six-month loan deal from Peruvian Liga 1 club Sporting Cristal. Texas Longhorns RB Bijan Robinson has been named the preseason media Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. Meanwhile, as Texas prepares to depart the Big 12, the conference is considering six Pac-12 schools for possible inclusion: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and Washington. Longtime stand-up comedy staple the Cap City Comedy Club is set to hold its first show in its new location in northwest Austin tonight. Weekend live music options: Friday shows include Cory Morrow at the Haute Spot and The Belle Sounds at 3TEN ACL Live, Saturday catch the Austin Chamber Music Festival at the Austin Chamber Music Center, Alvin Crow's 50th anniversary show at the Broken Spoke and Fiddlehead at the Mohawk. Friday also sees the first of three free evening outdoor movies at Waterloo Park with a screening of Sing 2, starting at 7:30.

Troy has been in the music business for quite a long time but he did not start there. Troy goes into pretty cool detail about how he made the climb to success in the music industry as well as how he got into some pretty awesome adventures along the way!I would say that from our days of touring with Florida Georgia Line we had our ups and downs and even butted heads about how we thought the show should travel down the road but through it all we remained friends. On this episode I learn some really cool facts about Troy and his love for coffee but the big one was what he was doing before he was a tour manager (aka cat herder aka babysitter to one of country's biggest stars)! THE TROUBADOUR PODCAST - The Premier Red Dirt, Texas Country and Independent Music Podcast
Once again, we’re brining you guys a stellar episode today. I’ve been a long-time fan of Texas Troubadour, Cory Morrow. Way back in my college days when I first heard his iconic songs like Texas Time Travelin, Nashville Blues and Big City Stripper it was simply hard not to like Cory’s music. Cory’s high energy shows and hell-raising reputation on and off stage in his early days were all part of the package. In this episode I was really impressed with Cory’s transparency about his early days and we actually talked a lot about maturing in one’s career and looking back and wishing we might have done a few things different. But that’s kinda what Cory is all about: truth, honesty and holding nothing back; the good and the bad. In the interview I actually get to retell Cory a story about how after a show once in Manhattan, KS he handed me his guitar and let me play him one of my songs and how special of a moment that was to a totally green and aspiring wannabe at the time. Cory is the real deal folks. He holds nothing back. His music and songs come from a deep place within him and his heart. I had a lot of respect for the guy before this interview and now that has only deepened. Cory’s a true Christian family man and you can witness this during his livestream “Morrow Monday’s” that you all need to check out. His kiddos are usually part of the broadcasts and frankly, are just pretty damn cute…Oh, and Cory’s musical performances are pretty great too! So here we go with episode #79 of The Troubadour featuring our conversation with Cory Morrow. Drew Fish Drew Fish comes from a musical family and was hanging out with legends in the Texas Music Scene like producer Lloyd Maines before he even considered a career in music. After being called on-stage to help Cory Morrow sing one of his signature tunes, “Drink One More Round”, Drew knew he was hooked on music. Drew’s current record, “Wishful Drinkin’” is his first full-length album and he’s a co-writer on almost every track on the record. Notable co-writers, Tommy Conners and Byron Hill lend their prowess to several of the songs as well. Tommy and Byron have had cuts with huge acts including George Strait, Kenny Rogers, Kenny Chesney, etc.…you get the picture. Drew even has a duet with legendary Nashville artists, Pam Tillis on this record on his current radio single, “Every Damn Time.” Along with chasing a career as an artist, Drew also helps put on the semi-annual Drew Fish Band Songwriter’s Retreat. THE TROUBADOUR PODCAST - The Premier Red Dirt, Texas Country and Independent Music Podcast
In the late 1990s, Texas Country Music Stalwart, Josh Grider, made his way from Las Cruces, New Mexico to Luckenbach, TX for one of Willie Nelson’s “4th of July Picnics”. The experience opened his horizons to what was out there for aspiring singers and songwriters beyond what could be heard on nationwide country radio at the time. Josh mentions seeing some notables for the first time including Robert Earl Keen, Pat Green, Cory Morrow and others and how it changed his outlook as to what just may be attainable in the music business. Josh initially moved to Waco, TX to attend college at Baylor University where he started his first band, “Riverside”. After graduation, Josh moved to Austin to focus more on his music and he released his first project in 2005. In 2011, Josh moved to Nashville after earning a publishing deal and began working with producer and fellow Texan, Trent Wilmon. During this time Josh explains he learned a huge deal about the amount of creativeness that exists in the city of Nashville and just how many hard-working songwriters are cranking out new songs there on a daily basis. Although Josh ended up moving back to Texas where he’s now raising a family, he still commutes to Nashville for meetings and writing appointments because as he states, it IS Music City USA. Additionally, for those like Josh (and yours truly), if your goal is to eventually have a song picked up and cut by a major artist, working in that town is nearly a must. So, sit back and enjoy this interview with a guy who has one of the smoothest baritone voices in the scene: Josh Grider. https://www.joshgrider.com/ Don’t forget about the upcoming 610 Music Festival. Whiskey sommelier Jake Clements sits down with us to explain all things whiskey. From a bourbon, to single malts, to corn whiskies, Jake Clements is a trained expert who can make your whiskey more enjoyable. Clements paired his love of whiskey with his event planning experience, and launched the Texas Whiskey Festival. He had the idea because of the abundance of whiskey distilleries in Texas. The Texas Whiskey Festival is a one-of-a-kind event for whiskey makers and whiskey lovers in the Lone Star State. This year’s festival will be hosted on the set of AMC’s The Son; a re-creation of a Texas Hill Country community typical of the early 1900s! You’ll feel as though you traveled back in time to drink whiskey in an old west town. Make your Good Friday great by attending the Texas Whiskey Festival on April 19th. Learn more at txwhiskeyfest.com. More than halfway through the legislative session, Clements has an idea of what bills he’s rooting for in terms of distilleries and event planning. What event does Clements have up his sleeve next? Cory Morrow’s Go Wheels Up Texas will take place May 3rd-5th. It’s a celebration of music, automobiles, airplanes and Texas cuisine!
