We're revisiting a childhood staple through the fresh eyes of an adult this week as Colin introduces Nick to “Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead”! I sit down with Kimmy Roberston (Twin Peaks, Beauty and the Beast, The Tick) to talk with her about her life, her work, and just how exactly we plan on fixing the world. I loved Kimmy Robertson before I interviewed her and now I love her even more. You can tell when speaking to Kimmy that she is a ball of pulsating energy that radiates throughout everyone she meets. When I spoke to her fellow cast members, they all had lovely things to say about her, so it was really cool to get to know the woman behind the myth during this interview. As you may know from Twin Peaks: The Return, Kimmy’s role as Lucy, plays a massive part and quite unexpected, even in a show like Twin Peaks where the unexpected is… expected? It was a joy to chat to her and if you want to do that too, head on down to the UK Twin Peaks convention this weekend (https://www.twinpeaksukfest.com/) and say hello! You can also find her here: https://twitter.com/okimmyrobertson and me here: https://twitter.com/jedshepherd enjoy and let us know what you think!

No need to adjust your antenna, we're talking about Diana's pick Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991). Originally the movie was a chance to gush over Josh Charles, but on second viewing, there is much to admire in Christina Applegate's Sue Ellen. Extra points for a cleaning montage. Five siblings are left alone all summer when their mom leaves town and the evil babysitter bites the dust. Stars Christina Applegate, Joanna Cassidy, Josh Charles, Keith Coogan, Jayne Brook, Concetta Tomei, Kimmy Robertson, Danielle Harris, Christopher Pettiet, and Robert Hy Gorman. Extra creep factor provided by John Getz and David Duchovny. (From IMDb.com) Tweet us @HEAMCast, like us on Facebook @HappilyEverAftermath, and e-mail us at contact@heamcast.com.

This week we're joined once again by comedian Brian Ward to discuss DON'T TELL MOM THE BABYSITTER'S DEAD, the 1991 teen comedy starring Christina Applegate, Josh Charles, Keith Coogan, Kimmy Robertson and David Duchovney. That's right, Fox Freakin' Mulder! Plus an old lady, somebody's sweet nana, who dies alone. Anyway. DTMTBD gave us our first taste of freedom as youngsters and taught us how not to handle human remains, but how does it hold up now? Listen below to find out. Also, Subscribe on iTunes or Stitcher. Also, follow us on Twitter and please consider supporting our Patreon campaign. WARNING: this podcast contains strong language and immature subject matter, please be advised.
On this week's episode, the #SBE2016 rolls on with the 1991 cult classic, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead! As the guys chat about this "We Love Movies" selection, questions come up including: What was with that deleted story arc where one of the kids killed the babysitter? Is that teenage kid really flying the Confederate flag? And what is with that Mr. Egg fella? PLUS: What if Star Wars never took off and George Lucas was forced into menial office work?
