Send me a text (I will personally respond)Are you struggling to make your cybersecurity startup's message stand out in a crowded market? Ever wondered how to get analysts like Gartner to notice your company before hitting $20M ARR? Do you face challenges aligning sales and marketing to target multiple buyer personas effectively? This episode dives deep into these critical issues, offering strategies and actionable insights tailored for cybersecurity sales and marketing leaders. In this conversation we discuss:
In this episode of Future Fuzz, Vince Quinn sits down with Dan Lowden, Chief Marketing Officer at Blackbird.ai, to unpack one of the fastest-growing threats facing organizations today: narrative attacks driven by disinformation, misinformation, and deepfakes.Dan explains how AI has dramatically lowered the barrier to creating convincing false content that can manipulate stock prices, damage brand reputation, target executives, and even threaten national security. He introduces the concept of Narrative Intelligence—a new category identified by Gartner—as a proactive way for companies to detect harmful narratives before they spiral out of control. The conversation explores how organizations should respond when false narratives gain traction, why real-time data is critical for crisis decisions, and how cross-functional “fusion centers” are becoming essential in managing modern reputation risk. They also discuss the upside: how brands can identify and amplify positive narratives to build trust and loyalty. If you care about brand protection, crisis management, AI risk, or the future of trust in the digital age, this episode is essential listening.Guest BioDan Lowden is the Chief Marketing Officer at Blackbird.ai, a leading Narrative Intelligence company that helps organizations detect and mitigate disinformation-driven narrative attacks. With over two and a half years at Blackbird.ai, Dan plays a key role in educating enterprises, government agencies, and global organizations about the emerging threat of AI-powered misinformation, deepfakes, and coordinated narrative manipulation.Under his leadership, Blackbird.ai has helped define and lead the newly recognized category of Disinformation Narrative Intelligence, empowering companies to proactively identify harmful narratives across social media, news, and the dark web—before they cause financial, operational, reputational, or physical harm.TakeawaysAI has dramatically lowered the barrier to creating convincing deepfakes and disinformation.Narrative attacks can cause financial, reputational, operational, and even physical harm.A single post can evolve into a large-scale narrative across multiple platforms. You cannot rely on social platforms to “take it down” once a narrative spreads.Real-time narrative intelligence enables faster, more strategic crisis decisions.Companies are forming cross-functional “fusion centers” to respond to modern reputation threats.Authenticity and trust are fragile—one bad narrative can undo years of brand equity.Positive narratives should be identified and amplified strategically.Brands must earn trust consistently; inauthentic behavior gets exposed quickly.Knowing the full narrative landscape (positive, neutral, negative, harmful) creates both protection and opportunity.Chapters 00:00 Introduction to Dan Lowden and Blackbird.ai 00:34 What Is Narrative Intelligence? 02:18 Why Disinformation and Deepfakes Are Exploding 03:56 The Rise of AI-Powered Narrative Attacks 05:30 Why Companies Must Take This Threat Seriously 07:29 How Organizations Should Respond to False Narratives 09:48 The Importance of Real Data in Crisis Decisions 10:46 Identifying and Leveraging Positive Narratives 13:37 Authenticity, Trust, and Brand Vulnerability 16:38 The “Fusion Center” Approach to Crisis Management 18:13 How to Learn More About Blackbird.ai 19:14 Final Thoughts on Trust in the AI EraLinkedInFollow Dan Lowden on LinkedInFollow Vince Quinn on LinkedIn

Ed Sheeran BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Ed Sheeran has been in the thick of headlines these past few days, making waves with a string of ambitious projects and distinctive public moments that underscore both his star power and ongoing hustle. The biggest buzz right now is his upcoming Netflix music special, One Shot with Ed Sheeran, streaming November 21. What makes this special such a talking point is its daring format: filmed in a single unbroken take throughout the city of New York, the project sees Sheeran traversing sidewalks and subway cars while performing live, unrehearsed, and completely unscripted. The Netflix team paired him with the crew behind Adolescence, and the result—according to a sneak peek aired on the Graham Norton Show—turns New York into his stage, capturing not just the singer but the candid, spontaneous interactions as fans and tourists weave into the narrative. If the early footage is any indication, expect genuine surprises—one wrong note and there's no fix in post. That storyline alone has major long-term biographical resonance, marking Sheeran both as a risk-taker and a boundary-pusher in music specials, and media is already drawing him into conversations about the evolution of the concert film genre.Hot on the heels of his new album, Play, which dropped in September, Sheeran's continued visibility is equal parts creative and business minded. Billboard's Hot 100 shows singles like Azizam peaking much lower than his past smashes and early reviews from outlets like Rolling Stone and The Guilfordian have been tepid, with critics noting the album's lack of innovation and recycled themes. His ambition to blend pop with global influences, especially Indian music, is noted but the fusion is getting mixed reviews from both fans and cultural critics, some feeling the experiment diluted rather than celebrated its inspirations.Meanwhile, on the road, Sheeran's blockbuster Mathematics Tour is rolling into its final year, with upcoming stops across Europe including an anticipated record-breaking crowd in Rome's Stadio Olimpico in June. His surprise tour moments—such as joint performances with local artists in Asia and Latin America—are keeping the setlists fresh and the social feeds humming. Pollstar recently confirmed the tour's continued commercial dominance, comparing his grosses with Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, illustrating Sheeran's ongoing significance in live entertainment economics.Outside of spotlight performances, an unannounced visit to Belfast Boys' Model school to donate his signature Lowden guitars showed a philanthropic side, reinforcing his commitment to music education—a story that's caught the attention of BBC and Guitar World. Social channels reflected a wave of related kudos as fans shared clips of grateful students and Sheeran's classroom pep talks. Not to be neglected are his recent pop culture moves: Ed just released a single, A Little More, with a music video starring Rupert Grint—yes, Ron Weasley himself—reprising his comedic fan role from the 2011 Lego House video. The narrative twist and outright humor made headlines on IMDb and entertainment blogs, especially as the track deals with themes of self-care and resilience, adding depth to Sheeran's artistic footprint.Between his Netflix gambit, the lukewarm-to-buzzy new album, massive tour wrap-up, heartfelt philanthropy, and sly pop culture reinventions, Ed Sheeran remains a fixture in both gossip columns and serious music coverage—an artist who, even as critics chide him for repetition, is ceaselessly rewriting what it means to be a global pop phenomenon.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Some performances fade. Others stay with you for decades.Buena Vista Social Club is one of them. It isn't just a musical—it's a masterclass in resonance, memory, and experience. In this episode, we're pulling B2B marketing lessons from that spirit of storytelling with the help of Dan Lowden, Chief Marketing Officer at Blackbird.AI.Together, we explore why content should come first, how honesty builds brand resilience, and what it takes to create live experiences your audience will talk about for years.About our guest, Dan LowdenDan is the CMO at Blackbird.AI and leads the company's strategic marketing efforts, including demand generation and brand leadership. Lowden holds an MBA in International Business from Rutgers Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science from Rider University. What B2B Companies Can Learn From Buena Vista Social Club:Content is the foundation—not an afterthought. Even in cybersecurity, content is king. Dan says, “My first hire was a content person. You can have the best ABM strategy or tools, but if you don't have really valuable content, you're not going to get anywhere.” His advice? Lead with education, not asks. Thoughtful reports, relevant use cases, and engaging narratives will earn your audience's attention—and their trust.Honesty builds brand resilience. When it comes to trust, marketing can't cut corners. Especially in high-stakes industries like cybersecurity. Dan says, “There's been a lot of overstatement of things by marketers and salespeople. That's when marketing takes a ding.” Instead, he urges CMOs to stay grounded: deliver real value, communicate with clarity, and show your audience you're in it for the long haul.Live experiences create a lasting impact. If you want your brand to be unforgettable, you need to create moments that move people. “People still come up to us today and say that band and that experience 10-plus years ago—they remember. There's not been anything like that,” Dan says, reflecting on a live concert his team produced. Whether it's a concert, a rooftop dinner, or a one-of-a-kind conference, remarkable experiences turn into word-of-mouth—and brand love that lingers.Quotes*“To me, in marketing—B2B or B2C—it's about creating a relationship, trust, even friendship, a community with your audience.”*"If you treat your customers well, if you serve them well, if you're honest with them… then you have a chance of being very successful as a company.”*“Music is really, really important, really powerful… as a marketer, especially in cybersecurity where there's 5,000 cybersecurity companies, you have to do something different. You have to stand out.”Time Stamps[00:55] Meet Dan Lowden, CMO at Blackbird.AI[03:42] The Magic of Live Theater[06:21] The Role of a CMO in Cybersecurity[10:23] Understanding Narrative Attacks[14:29] The Evolution of Narrative Intelligence[22:36] The Story Behind Buena Vista Social Club[28:31] The Power of Live Music in Marketing[30:33] Creating Remarkable Experiences[39:21] The Importance of Content in Marketing[45:05] Final Thoughts and TakeawaysLinksConnect with Dan on LinkedInLearn more about Blackbird.AIAbout Remarkable!Remarkable! is created by the team at Caspian Studios, the premier B2B Podcast-as-a-Service company. According to the American Civil Liberties Union, school disciplinary policies often disproportionately affect black students. Black students are suspended or expelled at three times the rate of white students and are three times more likely to enter the juvenile justice system. How can we hold students accountable for their actions and still provide support in the ways that they need? What are some successful prevention approaches for keeping students out of the criminal justice system? And how can we holistically reintegrate students that are currently in the juvenile justice system? In this episode, Kevin discusses disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline with VP of Reintegration and Community Engagement at ViaPath Technologies, Tony Lowden.
