Boo and Evan review episode 25 of the Marvel UK books, which is a port of the American issue, with a few key differences. The guys are starting something new in this issue, splitting the Transformers content from the other content, like Machine Man, Planet Terry, and others. The Transformers content is pretty brutal though! If you'd like to contact the guys, they'd love to hear from you!Edhatestransformers@gmail.comMorethanmeetstheseguys@gmail.com@mtmtgpod on Twitterhttps://www.facebook.com/MoreThanMeetsTheseGuys/https://discord.gg/sKr8jwaAvhIf you'd like to toss a buck or more per episode, we'd adore and say nice things about you.
Marvel UK #23 is a continuation of the Marvel US #5, so you just know Evan is gonna complain about the art. He doesn't disappoint, or maybe he does. Still, he shakes fist in air and curses the name YOMTOV!!! Boo carries on his even tempered appreciation of Machine Man, wait...he doesn't? Oh man, X-51 is running out of fans. Also, check out friend of the show Jim's new podcast on Beast Wars with his old pal Mike!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-tv-show-show/id1755607013If you'd like to contact the guys, they'd love to hear from you!Edhatestransformers@gmail.comMorethanmeetstheseguys@gmail.com@mtmtgpod on Twitterhttps://www.facebook.com/MoreThanMeetsTheseGuys/https://discord.gg/sKr8jwaAvhIf you'd like to toss a buck or more per episode, we'd adore and say nice things about you. Boo and Evan get into the UK issue 22, which os the American #5 first half. Things are bleak for the Autobots AND Decepticons and Machine Man is all upset just cause his face melted. What will happen with Princess (shudder) Ugly? Its a new format and its a lot more Transformers heavy! Woo hoo! Boo and Evan are finally finishing out the final story arc before they go back to the Marvel US run. Raiders of the Last Ark has been a fun journey, but its time has come and gone. This is a point where the American and UK books converge. Oh! And no Machine Man!!Also, check out friend of the show Jim's new podcast on Beast Wars with his old pal Mike!https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-tv-show-show/id1755607013If you'd like to contact the guys, they'd love to hear from you!Edhatestransformers@gmail.comMorethanmeetstheseguys@gmail.com@mtmtgpod on Twitterhttps://www.facebook.com/MoreThanMeetsTheseGuys/https://discord.gg/sKr8jwaAvhIf you'd like to toss a buck or more per episode, we'd adore and say nice things about you. Boo and Evan jump into the ultimate buddy comedy where an Autobot and a Decepticon stop being polite, and start getting real. This is the issue that we start into "we're not all that different" territory with Ravage and Windcharger trying to save the day when all other hope is lost. Also, there's some Chromobots....and Machine Man finishes off the Madame Menace storyline, we hope, as well as the Alpha Flight squad. Planet Terry is kind of enjoyable though! Welp, old Ops and Megs have done gotten themselves in a whole heap of trouble. Boo and Evan continue through the weirdly paced Raiders of The Last Ark with part 2. Of course there is also Chromobots, which seems to be getting slightly better, but Machine Man and his weird Juggalette groupie are just not knowing when to say goodbye. Planet Terry is here and it gets a little weird too. Boo and Evan have completed the first story arc of Simon Furman's delve into the Marvel Transformers book and go right into the story, "Raiders of the Last Ark." The story seems to be setting up the ultimate US Marvel cover with "Are All Dead." But...there seems to be a distinct lack of Transformers in the UK comic, but never too little Machine Man. At least its more enjoyable? If you'd like to contact the guys, they'd love to hear from you!Edhatestransformers@gmail.comMorethanmeetstheseguys@gmail.com@mtmtgpod on Twitterhttps://www.facebook.com/MoreThanMeetsTheseGuys/https://discord.gg/sKr8jwaAvhIf you'd like to toss a buck or more per episode, we'd adore and say nice things about you. Andres joins Boo and Evan this week to conclude "The Enemy Within" story arc, written by Simon Furman. It was something he asked since this was important to him as an self-identifiable Transformers story. The guys also finish off the Madame Menace story arc from Machine Man and there are other things that I'm sure someone finds important...f you'd like to contact the guys, they'd love to hear from you!Edhatestransformers@gmail.comMorethanmeetstheseguys@gmail.com@mtmtgpod on Twitterhttps://www.facebook.com/MoreThanMeetsTheseGuys/https://discord.gg/sKr8jwaAvhIf you'd like to toss a buck or more per episode, we'd adore and say nice things about you. Boo and Evan dig back into "The Enemy Within" for part 4 and a knock-down drag out fight between Brawn and Starscream. Who will win beween agility and speed and armor and endurance? Its a fun fight and whoever is the victor, will they be victorious after all?Oh yeah, and we see Machine Man and a new comic in Planet Terry! So after falling to some kid in the Karate regional finals, Ed caught the Vid, so Evan dug Boo up this week to venture forth into the UK standalone comics, with the first of the original stories "Man of Iron," in which we see just how far Jazz goes to see how Sammy is safe from harm. Boo is filling in for Ed this week as he's under the weather, but that allows us to venture back into that epic Machine Man comic! But first, what will happen when the Decepticons lead an all out assault to finish the Autobots? Is Spark Plug going to live? Will Mirage be able to be besties with Mirage?? Boo and Evan delve into the UK Issue 7 of the Transformers Marvel run just to see how much PTSD Spark Plug has from the Korean War after the Autobots almost kill him for trying to escape. Wait...the Autobots? Yep, they're kind of awful and have no concept of how organic life works or what walls of fire affects organic life. I guess Jazz never watched The Thing. Oh yeah! There's also Robot Roundup, Matt & The Cat, and.....Machine Man. German band Kraftwerk pioneered electronic music in a time where synthesizers were as boundary pushing as punk rock, including an early single named after Kohoutek. What should we think of their music now that electronic music has become the norm? Did their glorification of technology fit with the anti-establishment leanings of the Krautrock music scene? Music collector, musician and vlogger Dereck Higgins lends his analysis of the band and their unlikely success. Dereck Higgin's vlog: https://www.youtube.com/user/dereckvon. Wind-Generated Oil Rigs Hello, and welcome to episode 337 of The Fantasticast. Each week, Steve Lacey and Andy Leyland guide you through every issue, guest-appearance and cameo of The Fantastic Four. We're at the start of another big storyline for Marvel Two-in-One, as abandoned plotlines from Namor's solo title drive the adventures of Benjamin "The Thing" Grimm and Walter "Stingray" Newall. A jaunt to visit the Inhumans turns into a rescue mission at a suspiciously-acting oil rig, and there are yet larger forces at work... Mark Gruenwald, Ralph Maccio, George Perez, Gene Day, Carl Gafford, Ben Sean, John Costanza, Jim Salicrup, and Jim Shooter present Marvel Two-in-One #64, the first part of the classic The Serpent Crown Affair. As well as this, we also take a brief look at the Tom DeFalco and Steve Ditko-produced Machine Man #15, in which wheels are definitely better than legs. Reintroducing the 'Introducing!' format, in which we shine the CGS spotlight on the first appearances of three characters, all sharing some common trait or feature, from three different publishers and decades.
