In this episode of "Sara Gonzales Unfiltered," Sara discusses Hurricane Milton's impact on Florida, where 3.2 million lost power and major damage hit Tampa Bay. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is praised for his leadership during the storm, especially when compared to North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, who relied heavily on federal aid. DeSantis emphasized state autonomy and quick local action over federal reliance, a central theme of the discussion. The conversation then shifts to Kamala Harris' incompetence, highlighted by a disastrous live Zoom call. Harris is mocked for being overly reliant on aides, with her handling of crises compared to Trump's leadership, particularly as Biden bizarrely urged Trump to help with hurricane relief despite Trump being a private citizen. The episode revisits CBS's "60 Minutes" interview with Harris, during which edited responses expose media bias. Trump's statement calling it "election interference" is agreed upon in the discussion. A shocking segment reveals an Afghan refugee, brought to the U.S. during Biden's botched Afghanistan withdrawal, was arrested for planning an Election Day terror attack. He entered the country via a special immigrant visa as a CIA security guard, raising serious vetting concerns. The episode closes with an alarming story from Spring, Texas, where pre-K students were drugged with melatonin “sleepy stickers” by teachers at Northgate Crossing Elementary. The public school system is criticized for its corruption and negligence with calls for its elimination. Sara is joined by BlazeTV contributor Jaco Booyens, host of "The Bottom Line," and Eric July, founder of Rippaverse Comics. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Today's Headlines: Today's major international news includes a historic multi-country prisoner swap resulting in the release of 16 individuals, including four Americans, from Russia. The Americans released are journalist Evan Gershkovich, activist Vladimir Kara-Murza, journalist Alsu Kurmasheva, and corporate security executive Paul Whelan. This swap, involving seven countries, is the largest between Russia and the West since the Cold War. Russia receives eight prisoners in return, including assassin Vadim Krasikov. In response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered a retaliatory strike against Israel. The Biden administration anticipates a response similar to previous attacks but potentially larger. Haniyeh was killed by a bomb planted months earlier in a guest house controlled by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The US State Department has recognized Edmundo Gonzalez's electoral victory in Venezuela, urging for a peaceful transition from Nicolás Maduro, who falsely claims victory. Vice President Kamala Harris is vetting potential running mates for her presidential campaign, with six candidates in consideration. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper have withdrawn from contention. Lastly, Simone Biles won her 9th gold medal in the women's all-around gymnastics final, becoming the oldest Olympic women's gymnastics champion since 1952. Teammate Suni Lee secured the bronze medal.
