Discover the enigmatic prophecies of the ancient text of Daniel as we navigate the striking vision of King Nebuchadnezzar and its profound implications for the past, present, and future. In our latest episode, we dissect the divine interpretation of the colossal statue in the king's dream, traversing through the golden head representing Babylon to the stone that becomes a mountain, and everything in between. You'll gain an understanding of how these symbols not only foretold the rise and fall of empires but also cemented the concept of God's unyielding sovereignty over the realm of human rulership. Daniel's wisdom shines a light on our understanding of God's role in anointing leaders and shaping nations, offering a poignant reflection on His immutable control over the course of history. This episode doesn't just recount biblical narratives; it connects the dots to our present world, integrating a Christian perspective that addresses pressing global developments and the overarching prophetic timeline laid out in Scripture. We wrestle with the complex themes from the rise of the Antichrist to Christ's millennial kingdom, assuring you that despite the tumult of our times, the tapestry of history is being woven according to a divine pattern. Embrace our call to truth-telling and spiritual warfare, and let's collectively face the future with a steadfast hope, knowing that God's eternal kingdom is the ultimate destination. As we conclude with Dr. Popple's Devotions Beyond Medicine, we're reminded to carry forth this message of hope, and we look forward to sharing more thought-provoking discussions that fortify your faith and understanding.https://www.jacksonfamilyministry.comhttps://bobslone.com/home/podcast-production/
This week we break down all the boys' plans for Deer Camp for the 2023 Michigan Firearm Deer Season with our Deer Camp special. Jimi sees a sighting, Jason reads his Palace in the Popple poem and nails it on the first attempt. The boys talk about their deer camp traditions and how they started. Here is Jason's version of the Poem: Original by: George Augustus "Gus" Bixby in rural Wisconsin in 1905 PALACE IN THE POPPLE It's a smoky, raunchy bears' nest With an unswept, drafty floor. And pillow ticking curtains And apple pucker for a snort. The smell of a pine knot fire From a stove pipe that has come loose Mingles sweetly with the boot grease And the Copenhagen snoose. There are work worn .30-30's With battered, steel stocks, And drying lines of long johns And of steaming, pungent socks. There's a table for the terrible outdoorsmen Where they choose their teams for euchre, And there's deep and dreamless sleeping On bunk ticks stuffed with straw. Dan and Jimi stand by the stove, Their gun talk loud and hot, Ryan and Jason are partners again, Pass on a bower they will not! Jimi's been drafted again as cook And is peeling some spuds for stew While Bob wanders by in baggy drawers Sipping another brew No where on earth is fire so warm Nor coffee so infernal, No whiskers so stiff, jokes so rich, Nor hope blooming so eternal. A man can live for a solid week In the same old underbritches And walk like a man and spit when he wants And scratch himself where he itches. I tell you, boys, there's no place else Where I'd rather be, come fall, Where I eat like a bear and sing like a wolf And feel like I'm bull-pine tall, In that raunchy cabin out in the bush In the land of raven and loon, With a tracking snow lying new on the ground At the end of the Rutting Moon. Michael Fanning, host of Windermere Coaching Minutes podcast, welcomes guest Sean Werner from Paramount Residential Mortgage. Sean has been a lender for 26 years but loves learning new technology and techniques. Two years ago Sean learned iPhone tricks from BombBomb that they didn't know. Sean realized text shortcuts on iPhones are very valuable for real estate/mortgage industries. He created a class to teach text replacements, screen recording, shortcuts, and contact cards. Digital business cards like Link and Popple require multiple steps to save a contact. iPhone text replacement feature lets you save a full contact as a phrase. Typing the shortcut text sends the full contact. This allows Sean to text his full contact info to everyone he meets in seconds. Sean recommends everyone add details like profession, title, etc to their phone contacts. Use phone notes for private info like passwords, not shared via contact card. Add past customer details like month/year they closed, interest rate, sales price to search later. Record videos and upload privately to YouTube. Turn YouTube link into a text replacement shortcut phrase. Texting video links this way makes you more relevant to clients. Take Sean's class to learn more iPhone tricks to work smarter as a real estate/mortgage professional. Add captions to videos to increase views and engagement on social media. Use multiple platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube to share videos. Send Happy Birthday videos via Facebook birthdays for exposure. Sean is happy to teach iPhone tricks. Text him at 253-07-4501. Michael and Sean want listeners to learn to work smarter using technology. Let me know if you need any other details added or removed from this summary. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/coachingmin/support
In this episode we chat with Simon Popple, MD of Brookville Capital, and a sound money expert in gold investing, having dedicated his career to the gold industry for the last 15 years. Simon is on the show to discuss the main misconceptions of investing in gold and why now is probably more important than ever to understand why gold is an important investment vehicle to maintain and build wealth. Simon is going to be attending Europe's largest mining event, Resourcing Tomorrow, (formerly known as Mines and Money London,) which is taking place in London on the 28th-30th November, a great platform for the entire mining value chain, fostering learning, lively debates, and providing valuable networking opportunities. So Register NOW and get your tickets by heading to www.resourcingtomorrow.com/register to receive a discount on current early bird prices using the code DIGDEEP10. KEY TAKEAWAYS Gold is a valuable investment vehicle for maintaining and building wealth. It has limited supply and is globally recognised as valuable, making it a universal currency. There are misconceptions about investing in gold. The first misconception is that people think they need to physically possess gold, but in reality, it can be stored and insured by professionals. The second misconception is that gold doesn't provide any income, but there are ways to generate income from gold investments, such as investing in gold stocks. The third misconception is that investing in gold is risky, but there are different levels of risk depending on the type of investment, and physical gold can act as a form of insurance. It is important to have a balanced portfolio that includes exposure to both gold and fiat currencies. Gold can protect against inflation and economic collapse, while fiat currencies provide stability and liquidity. The price of gold is influenced by factors such as debt levels and supply and demand dynamics. As debt continues to rise, there is a good chance that the gold price will also increase. BEST MOMENTS "I think property probably falls into that boat. So even though I did very well out of property, I didn't see it as something I could always make money from." "You don't have to invest in the riskiest format. And I think a lot of people, they look at gold, and they hear about these junior mining stocks, and they go, that's too risky." "I think all I would say is, I think gold's better days are ahead of it rather than behind it, so I feel comfortable with the price where it is at the moment." "I think it's a bit scary if you've got 100% exposure to gold and silver and no exposure to fiat currencies. I think it's all about balance." Brews and Tiny Teeth, The Unfiltered Pediatric Dentistry Podcast
Dr. Ben Popple is pediatric dentist in Georgia who started a scratch practice out of residency for $250k. Six years later, he is building his third office with 18 chairs in a ground-up build. The theme of this episode is minimizing the expenses of your start-up. We identify what things you need to do to keep your costs down, including choosing a contractor, dealing with equipment reps, knowing how to find affordable/used equipment, and reinvesting practice income during the growing years. If you're currently trying to start a dental practice, or have any interest in doing so, this is a great episode to check out! It may have taken a minute or two (it'll get more regular, promise!), but this is the best episode yet. Your hosts' chat gets extra trippy, and fungi may have been ingested to celebrate a record of such psychedelic magnitude. Come on in! Ken Popple, drummer on the single in question (as well as on almost all of the Biff!Bang!Pow! records), turns out to be the perfect guest. We hope he comes back. Enjoy! The title says it all...this week we take a ride on the Nostalgia Express and dive into some TV shows we remember from our youth, and Jasmine tells me about the old cartoon "Popples" and now I'm scared...Also, apparently Kim K's daughter is the next Bob f**king Ross. What is happening!? Grab a beverage, pull up a seat and find out! Cheers! *DON'T FORGET! Subscribe to The Irish Exit Podcast and leave us a 5 star review. Electric buses have emerged as one of the hottest topics in U.S. transportation policy, with transit agencies across the country increasingly looking to electrification as an opportunity to increase the efficiency of their fleets while lowering operating costs. Ryan Popple, CEO of Proterra, joined Greg, Greg, and Pete for a wide-ranging discussion about all things electric buses. Ryan kicked off the discussion by sharing how his military background led to his interest in reducing oil dependence, as well as his passion for accelerating electric vehicle adoption. Throughout the episode, we explored some of the most interesting questions surrounding the electric bus sector: -What are the engineering challenges that make building an electric bus different from just building a bigger, longer electric car? -Why are the partnerships we're seeing between EV companies and utilities so important? -In a completely hypothetical scenario, happens when the electrical grid is shut down in, say, the San Francisco Bay Area for several days? -What does Congress need to know about electric buses, and how can it help to accelerate their adoption? -How can transit agencies, cities, and states successfully adopt electric buses? Ryan Popple is the President and CEO of Proterra, a startup that designs and produces electric buses. Ryan worked at Tesla in the early days and was a partner at Kleiner Perkins where he led clean tech investments in mobility and transportation. Ryan explained why public transportation might be free in cities of the future, and how Proterra wants to be a part of that shift. He also explained why some buses are worse for the environment than driving. To learn more about The Future of Cities, visit FutureOfCities.com. This podcast is presented by Katerra. Keeping kids busy during the summer is one of the biggest challenges we face on an annual basis. This year we signed up at a local recreation center, and we're already benefitting, but we're still stuck on more ways to keep the kids busy during the summer. In this episode we talk about ending another school year, and moving kids from elementary school to middle school, and moving another child from middle school to high school. Plus we asked the question about how to help your teens find jobs during the summer. Other topics discussed include feedback and recommendations for our upcoming speaking trip to Australia and New Zealand as well as an interesting conversation about St. John of the Cross' Dark Night of the Soul.
