We have returned from our very much undesired week hiatus. It's more foolishness from those American rugby knuckleheads. On this episode, we FINALLY discuss the Prem Final and the happenings in that, including the Obano Red Card. Of course, that leads int our Prem XV of the year (be prepared to be pissed). We then go over to Super Rugby and the big semifinals, looking at how we got ourselves to this point, why we were annoyed with portions of both and what we can look forward to this weekend. Then, finally, the Free Jacks have come back, I mean really this looked like the team of old and we can only hope that continues. All this, more banter and the rest you'd expect, come along for the ride fam!Check out the TFRY Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/TheFantasyRugbyYanksAsk us questions via Twitter: Jarrod- jdyke8man & Ben- admrablsnackbar, and #AskTFRY.Send us your thoughts for the show and questions for upcoming shows via e-mail fantasyrugbypodcast@gmail.com. After our brief break, we are back with Episode 154 of Null & Void. We kick off with the US Open Golf and the thrilling finale between Brydon DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy, before moving onto football's Euros and the opening win for England and defeat for Scotland against hosts Germany. In rugby union we look back at the Premiership Final as well as the latest round of rugby league's super league. Meanwhile it was the final round of the regular seasons in the netball super league, as we now head into the play off finals. In cricket's T20 World Cup the USA and Afghanistan have been the surprise packages into the Super 8 stage, whilst England were given a scare by rain in their game against Namibia and had to rely on a favour from old foes Australia to make it through to the next stage at Scotland's expense. Our guest this week is Ken Carter, who joins us to talk about his lifelong involvement in sport, including playing rugby for Blackheath, London Irish, the Royal Marines as well as the brave decision to play for BOTH Cornwall AND Devon! Ken also chats about his involvement in establishing Deaf Sport First – an organisation that supports deaf people in maximising their sporting potential – and how their remit is evolving with innovation in sports science and artificial intelligence. A fantastic guest and a great show.

Rory Hutchinson takes the lads into the heart of the action as the party seems to be ongoing…see how many of the Saints boys you can spot. Lots of questions to be asked…not many answers given... which Matavesi brother is in his budgie smugglers, why is Lewis Ludlam refusing to take off his top and who exactly is the best National 2 player? In other news Max is back from South Korea having appeared to eat food that is very much still alive and Ryan didn't mention golf, which is a relief Hosted on Acast. Richard began his career in rugby when he joined the London Irish Academy at the age of 18. His subsequent professional career boasted over 150 Premiership rugby games for London Irish, Leicester Tigers and London Welsh. He played in the 2009 Premiership Final for London Irish, and was a part of the Leicester team that won the Premiership in 2013. A near career ending injury saw Richard leave Leicester after winning the Premiership and join London Welsh whom had just been relegated. He went on to win the Championship with London Welsh the next season, gaining promotion back into the Premiership. Richard was also a Canadian International Rugby Player, and represented Rugby Canada at the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England. Following his retirement from professional rugby in 2016, Richard moved into business. Having invested in property throughout his rugby career, he initially transitioned into Operations Director at RDT Invest (a principal real estate lender). Alongside this role he also became a Director of SBL Capital, his family’s private office. But it was his ongoing work with professional athletes that first moved him into coaching. Early on after his retirement, Richard began coaching professional athletes struggling with their transition into the ‘real world’. He joined Harley Street Institute, Cognacity in 2017 as an Executive Coach, and in 2018, he wound down his other business interests and established his own Performance Consultancy. He now coaches across sectors but focusses mainly on professional athletes, executives and Next-Gen. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Richard stepped back into rugby as Director of Rugby at National 1 Rugby Club Chinnor RFC Thame. Whilst a semi-professional club, Chinnor have some big ambitions, and Richard’s leadership framework is influenced by his experiences in professional rugby, business, Executive and Performance Coaching. Schalk Brits was a rare entity, a player who seemed to make every fan smile, regardless of which team they supported. In this episode, Sam Roberts talks to him about Saracens' first Premiership Final win in 2011 but we also look in detail at how he played the game; what it was like playing for the famous North London club; and perhaps most importantly, how he now feels with the 'Salary Cap Scandal' having cast its shadow. We also hear how he responded to a Rassie Erasmus text message about the World Cup in 2019, his eventual retirement, and we even get confirmation about an embarrassing incident detailed in the Karl Dickson episode from earlier in the series! The clip we watch is here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMwEmaB7TeM - you can watch along too.Do leave a review if you like what we are doing, and if you have any ideas as to which rugby player you'd like to hear interviewed, get in touch with us.
