Marc Vandermeer and John Harris count down the final hours to the Texans' Week 1 opener against the Buffalo Bills at Reliant Stadium on this Thursday edition of Texans All-Access on 95.7 The Fan. The guys open with the NFL Kickoff Game, where Drew Lock came off the bench for Seattle and Drake Maye's three fourth-quarter interceptions swung the Super Bowl rematch, then dig into Maye's track record against winning teams and why so few young quarterbacks get real coaching continuity. Pro Football Hall of Fame sportswriter John McClain joins the program on the line on his way to a Gridiron Legends event. The General explains why he believes the Texans' defense could be even better than it was last season, what one early DE Will Anderson Jr. hit on QB Josh Allen could mean, and why the offensive line is the key to the run game with RB David Montgomery and RB Woody Marks in the backfield against new Bills defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard's 3-4. He shares what he expects from QB C.J. Stroud and offensive coordinator Nick Caley, goes around the league on Browns-Jaguars, Ravens-Colts and Buccaneers-Bengals, names the Cowboys and Bengals as his turnaround teams, and weighs in on where Arch Manning could land. Rookie LB Aiden Fisher then sits down in studio. The seventh-round pick and two-time All-American from national champion Indiana talks about managing the long rookie year, what LB Azeez Al-Shaair and LB Henry To'oTo'o have taught him, and why his superpower is the stuff that doesn't show up on a stopwatch. He compares DeMeco Ryans with Curt Cignetti, explains what it's like wearing Ryans' No. 59 and hearing the defensive call through the green dot, and describes playing special teams for Frank Ross, following Cignetti from James Madison to Indiana, and why preparing for Josh Allen is the part of football he loves most. The show closes with Thursday's injury report and a Houston Methodist Minutes segment with Dr. Robert Flannery on hydration and electrolytes.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

How do people outside the Indianapolis Colts area feel about Daniel Jones, and what he did last year prior to injury, and can he duplicate it this season? The Colts & Ravens now have brothers who coach on the respective teams! Baltimore has re-tooled their offensive line. How has the Ravens attempted to fix the 30th ranked pass defense from last season? Can Roquan Smith and the defense stop Tyler Warren, Josh Downs, and Jonathan Taylor in the center of that defense? Both teams did not have many starters play in preseason, how much will this game prelude to how each team will look moving forward? Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Football is officially back, and the crew wastes no time jumping into Week 1 predictions, team loyalty, upset picks and plenty of trash talk. Before the NFL talk takes over, JWest4Life recaps his first trip to Las Vegas, including surviving the 100-degree heat and experiencing The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. Shaking seats, wind, drones, water and full 4D movie experiences lead the crew to one conclusion: if the theater is doing all that, they might as well put you in the movie. Then Australia comes up, which somehow turns into a debate about kangaroo tails, oxtails and the possibility that some people might not know exactly what they've been eating.“You think you had oxtail.”From there, the crew breaks down the NFL Week 1 slate, including Patriots-Seahawks, Rams-49ers, Packers-Vikings, Cowboys-Giants, Ravens-Colts, Bills-Texans and more. Everybody puts their picks on record and gives early season expectations for their favorite teams. The conversation takes another hilarious turn when the guys question why people are wearing hoodies in 100-degree weather. That leads to a full discussion about hygiene, younger generations and what the crew officially labels a “funky culture.”The episode also gets serious as the guys discuss devastating flooding in Nepal, severe weather, tornadoes, lightning and the terrifying power of nature. That opens the door to a conversation about the Titanic submersible, deep-sea pressure, thalassophobia and why exploring the bottom of the ocean is absolutely not on anybody's bucket list.Mwanje switches gears to the NBA and breaks down the controversy surrounding Kawhi Leonard, Steve Ballmer, the Clippers and allegations involving sponsorship money and salary-cap circumvention. The crew debates how professional sports teams can use outside business opportunities to attract star players and how often similar situations may happen behind the scenes. To close the show, the crew tackles a relationship question: if a couple has been together for 10 years, lives together and has three kids, should they basically be considered married? After debating common-law marriage, finances, commitment and long-term relationships, the question becomes simple:After 10 years and three kids…what are y'all scared of?Another episode where football turns into kangaroos, kangaroos turn into hygiene, hygiene turns into natural disasters, and somehow the conversation ends with marriage. On What Tho? Everything.BariBeatz • King Muse • JWest4Life ft. Mwanje
Week 1 is rapidly approaching! Ryan Wormeli and Andrew Erickson break down the early betting lines for the opening week of the 2026 NFL season, giving you their favorite NFL Week 1 picks, best bets, upset predictions, spreads, totals, moneyline plays and more. Which early NFL lines offer the most value? The guys go game-by-game through the Week 1 slate, looking for opportunities to grab closing line value (CLV) before the market moves. Some of the biggest debates include whether the Rams-49ers Australia matchup is screaming UNDER, why Houston could upset Buffalo, whether Jacksonville belongs in your Week 1 survivor pool, a Dolphins-Raiders upset pick, and whether Denver can knock off Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City at Arrowhead. Its Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid. Unless you are one of the teams still live for the playoffs but not locked into a spot yet (looking at you Steelers, Panthers, Texans, Packers, Colts, Lions, Ravens and Buccaneers). Now some of those are safer than others, Ravens Colts and Bucs drop to below 1% if they lose this week, so maybe yeah, do be afraid! The NFC West has three possible winners at the moment, and all three feel like they could be Superbowl contenders (and then there's the Cardinals!). These merry gentlemen will continue to duke it out for supremacy with divisional games in week 18 that could decide it all, but that depends on this weeks results. We go through all of last week's games, then look to the matchups that will decide these teams' fate. Christmas slate is not looking great, but the rest is pretty tasty with a lot of playoff futures being decided. Will your team make it? All this and more on your one stop shop for news, views and overreactions to all things NFL, The All Four Quarters Podcast!
