Thank you! Have you been sensing something in your heart lately? Something that goes beyond your own thoughts of mind and heart? You know it is from deep within. Many believers are feeling it. I have been feeling it too. It is like there is a lull, or a calm before a fierce storm and it has been coming in waves, stronger and stronger. I believe that because so many of God's people are all experiencing this is because the Lord is moving in His own body particularly right now. Make no mistake. I believe it is His call. Like soldiers being called one by one to show up for active duty. We have been given this "sense" from the Lord which seems to be much more powerful than our reasonings or intellect. It also seems to have a voice that is crying out to us. I believe it is time to seek the Lord in prayer and ask. Present yourselves to the Jesus Christ our Captain and talk to Him about it. Say, "Lord, here I am, I am responding to the inward call. Reveal to me what You want, your servant is listening!" Something spiritually big and significant is coming and it is time to gather ourselves together unto Him. I believe it is very soldier-like in nature. You do not want to be left out of the roll call. You want to be a part of whatever it is He has planned for you. You do not want to miss out. If there is something upon which God has put His hand of pressure, obey Him in the matter. Be faithful to the moment. "Exercised faith intensifies my spiritual senses." ~ J. H. It's an extended edition of BEHIND THE LENS this week thanks to the release of some terrific films and some wonderful filmmakers as we explore the human condition through cinema and individual introspection with our guests TOM PUTNAM, WILLIAM NORRETT, and T. ARTHUR COTTAM, plus our exclusive interview with ROGER MICHELL. First up is writer/director TOM PUTNAM talking about THE DARK DIVIDE. Adapted by Putnam and based on the best-seller WHERE BIGFOOT WALKS: CROSSING THE DARK DIVIDE by Robert Pyle, one of the most foremost authorities on wildlife and acclaimed nature writers, the film is as much about Pyle's exploration of the "Dark Divide" as it is of himself. Starring David Cross and Debra Messing and showcasing some of the most beautiful wilderness this country has to offer, the visuals and soundscape alone make THE DARK DIVIDE a "must see" film! Then, novelist, screenwriter, and actor WILLIAM NORRETT, and director/cinematographer T. ARTHUR COTTAM are on hand for their first collaboration, ONE HOUR OUTCALL, an examination of a longstanding and complex relationship between an "escort" and her client. Non-linear in its construct, the unfolding dynamic and examinations of internal motivations and conflict fascinate. Listen as William talks about crafting the script in its non-linear form and then T picks it up from there, with additional casting and taking the words on the page and constructing a visual design that adds elements of a thriller thanks to interesting (and often challenging) camera angles and editing, only to be punctuated by effective scoring. Plus, discover just how small and collaborative the independent film world is as we hear from all the boys about T. Arthur Cottam providing some ADR on THE DARK DIVIDE while ONE HOUR OUTCALL editor Sam Hook also served as co-editor on THE DARK DIVIDE! And then we go into overtime talking about BLACKBIRD with our exclusive interview with director ROGER MICHELL. Long a favorite and always a joy to speak with about filmmaking and storytelling, I spoke with Roger last week about his latest film, BLACKBIRD, an ensemble piece starring Susan Sarandon, Sam Neill, Kate Winslet, Mia Wasikowska, Rainn Wilson, and Lindsay Duncan. A remake of the 2014 Danish film, Silent Heart, listen as we discuss the film's themes of a family's love, life and death, the human condition, as told through powerful performances, and metaphoric storytelling thanks to Mike Eley's stunning cinematography, Peter Gregson's exquisite score, and John Paul Kelly's production design. And then there's Unjoo Moon's I AM WOMAN, her biopic on Helen Reddy, and one of my personal faves of the year. Already out on VOD and digitally, if you're a Helen Reddy fan, you're going to love this film. http://behindthelensonline.net http://eliasentertainmentnetwork.com
THE SILENT HEART ATTACK There is something called a Silent Heart Attack (SMI) and there are a lot of people who have one. Depending on the studies or the source it is thought that up to 50% of all heart attacks could be SMI’s. SMI stands for Silent Myocardial Infarction, and a Myocardial Infarction the scientific name for a heart attack - so SMI is a silent “heart attack”. Makes sense right?? I had never heard of an SMI before but now that I have it is definitely on my radar to watch with myself and those around me. The short explanation is that it either has no symptoms or it has milder versions of the normal heart attack symptoms. Those symptoms are: - pressure, tightness, pain, squeezing, or aching in your chest - nausea, indigestion, heartburn, or abdominal pain - cold sweat - shortness of breath - lightheadedness or sudden dizziness - fatigue There are a number of studies I reference and most of them have shown that even if you don’t think you’ve had a SMI that if you did by 5-10 years later you could have the same myocardial scars that someone with a traditional heart attack has. In addition I reference a couple of sleep studies that have found links to cardiovascular disease which is important to heart health as well. You should listen to the podcast for all of the info as it’s very important for us all (especially we “older” people) to know. At the end of the podcast I let everyone know that if anyone listening is feeling stressed and upset from the current period of Covid-19 uncertainty I am offering a free coaching session to help you move more easily through this time. You can contact/message me on my healthy tips after 50 website or my Facebook profile or FB HTA50 podcast page.

Tune into this meditation session to transform your love into the Sufi’s passion for their beloved and the Buddha’s compassion for all. We have put mind on the highest pedestal. Our mind rules us, it manipulates us, it decides how we live our lives. With convincing logics and rationales of the intellect, our mind appears to have a superiority over the heart. And with time, our thought structures become so rigid and overpowering that there is no room for the heart to speak up. Such a life may reach to worldly success, but it never leads to content, inner peace and happiness. I am not suggesting that mind has less relevance than the heart. It has its own place, but not always on top. There are matters of life that must be approached with our heart. Just like the energy of mind is expressed with its intellect, the energy of heart is expressed with love. In this meditation session we are empowering our heart and its expression of love. Not the ordinary love for possession, desire and emotion, rather the love which becomes self-love, passion and compassion arising out a ‘Silent Heart’. Did you know 30% of the world’s population has a hole in their heart? Most are silent and never cause an issue, but for some it could lead to a stroke. Today Interventional Cardiologist Dr. Vijay Raja joins us to talk about adult congenital heart defects, what you should know and if you might be at risk. He also provides some additional information on A-fib and some of the new procedures being performed at Arkansas Heart Hospital.
You probably know the common symptoms of a heart attack: chest and arm pain, shortness of breath and fatigue. But there's another kind that's just as deadly and harder to detect because the symptoms are silent. In this quick talk, 17-year-old inventor Akash Manoj shares the device he's developed to stop this silent killer: a noninvasive, inexpensive, wearable patch that alerts patients during a critical moment that could mean the difference between life and death.
Silence. Sometimes we love it, sometimes we hate it but most times it's nowhere to be seen. God has shown me that He speaks when we surrender our time and silence our hearts to focus on Him. I pray that you come to understand why silence is such a necessity in your relationship with the Lord and gain awareness of how the enemy uses everyday distractions to keep us from the intimate bond our creator desires with us. This is meant to be a conversation, a journey for all who listen. If you have thoughts, questions or comments about anything you hear on Above the Waves I ask you to put them in the comments section and I will get back to you as soon as I am able. I love you all. But not more than Christ loves you. :) Abigail Fletcher Above the Waves: (verb) to see above trials, trauma and lies of this world and focus your sight on the overwhelming strength, grace and love from God.

Am 5. April 2014 haben wir in der neunten Ausgabe über "Snowpiercer" geredet und den Pengcast wiederbelebt.
