Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Dave Coulier's Birthday, I covered Full House S6E9: Nice Guys Finish First, which aired on November 24, 1992. In this episode Stonewall Binkley, an old rival of Joey's, humiliates him on his and Jesse's radio program, and challenges him to an upcoming hockey game; Joey's hesitant at first but ultimately decides to have his revenge on Stonewall. This was an enjoyable episode. Joey gets a blast from the past when an old nemesis surprises on air on the Rush Hour Renegades and start ripping into him about an old college hockey game Joey lost. Talk about someone who loves to live in the past, this Brinkley guy. The rivalry is still going strong in Brinkley's eyes as he tells Joey "I look forward to humiliating you all over again at the charity hockey game. When did a charity hockey game turn into a I'm better than you contest? Couldn't stand this guy. Joey does his best to be a good sport and not let himself get riled, but Brinkley pushes him too far and then, it is on! Seeing Jesse on skates was hilarious and also him commentating on the game not knowing anything about hockey. Luckily Becky swoops in to save the day. Also we have the side mini plots of DJ learning freeway driving and Michelle afraid of the tabloid Goat Boy from Norway. Join me next month for the new Series, Joey and the Girls, when I cover Full House: S3E18: Mr. Egghead, which aired on February 16, 1990. In this episode Joey gets a job as a guest host on an educational television show for children, where a prop injures Stephanie. To EMAIL The Podcast GO TO: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com Have a great weekend everyone and I'll be back in October.

Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I covered Full House S4E16: Stephanie Gets Framed, which aired on January 25, 1991. In this episode Steve Urkel comes to town. He helps Stephanie deal with her new glasses, but when she takes all of Joey's funny glasses and disrupts the class with them, she realizes she took it too far. Jesse is also having trouble deciding a best man for his wedding. I enjoyed this episode. Especially getting to see Steve Urkel another beloved TGiF show character interact with characters from another show. Steve comes to town not only to annoy his cousin Julie and DJ, but to give advice to Danny who's sulking around the house playing sad songs on his guitar because Jesse picked Joey to be his best man at his wedding instead of him. Steve basically tells Danny to "get over it" and "move on". Stephanie who's a new owner her first pair of eye glasses is feeling her already low self confidence sink even lower, but thanks to Steve's advice "the trick is to make them laugh with you instead of laugh at you", backfires on her, she winds up disrupting the class with Joey's many pairs of comedic goofy glasses and having to write a hundred times "I will not disrupt the class." Michelle is given DJ's hand me down piggybank and goes around the house shaking people down for coins to add to her new money collection. When she hears that familiar ice cream truck jingle she all but takes a hammer to her precious piggybank to splurge on a sweet treat. Little does Michelle know that if you pull the plug or cork out of the bottom the money should fall right out. I wouldn't think she would have had enough for anything that ice cream truck was selling. Granted these are early 90's prices, but if she has less than 50 cents, she better start digging in the freezer for the pudding or push pops. Sonoma winner Joey Gladstone and NHRA funny car points leader Robert Hight join host Brian Lohnes for this episode of the NHRA Insider podcast. After an incredible race in Sonoma, Lohnes recaps the event, its highlights, and provides some insight into not only Sonoma but this week's Seattle race before settling down with the show's guests. Joey Gladstone captured his first national event win in his third straight final round by nailing a holeshot against Eddie Krawiec in the Sonoma final. Lohnes talks to him about that event, the weeks leading up to it, and how his career has formed him up to rise to this occasion. This is a very personal conversation with the brightest rising star in this class of drag racing. Robert Hight is having one of his greatest seasons ever and it shows no signs of letting up. While he was eliminated in the semi-finals in Sonoma he had been on a streak of finals and wins that have made him the points leader by a wide margin. Hight talks about the lessons learned in 2021 and how they have translated into the successes of 2022. It's a cool conversation and one that will take you inside the current successful season for JFR. Big-time stuff happening at this time of the year and Seattle is coming in hot!

“Joey Gladstone” is practically a household name, everyone knows the fun-loving Full House character. But Dave Coulier, the actor's actual name, may not ring a bell. Even fewer people may recall that Dave is a recovering alcoholic. Earlier this year, he took to Instagram to publicly announce his addiction, and that he's been sober for more than two years. In this episode, Coulier describes the moment he realized alcohol was a problem, how he continues to stay sober, the type of support he received, and how he is doing now. To learn more -- or read the transcript -- please visit the show's official episode page. Guest Bio Dave Coulier is perhaps best known as “Joey” from the hit ABC television series, Full House, which aired for eight seasons (1987-1995, with 192 episodes produced) and is currently starring in Live+Local on Pure Flix Streaming. The first two episodes will be available exclusively on Pure Flix on July 7th, 2022 and a new episode will air every Thursday. Highly regarded for his voice-over talent, Dave's additional credits include many Saturday morning cartoon favorites. He began by doing voices on HannaBarbera's Scooby Doo and the re-syndicated version of The Jetson's. He then went on to lend his versatile voice to Jim Henson's multiple Emmy Award-winning animated series, The Muppet Babies , where he portrayed Animal and Dr.Bunsen Honeydew for the run of the series, and then became the voice of three additional characters; Waldorf and Statler (the two old guys in the balcony on the original Muppet Show) and Bean Bunny. He voiced Peter Venkman for The Real Ghostbusters cartoon, and the Cartoon Networks' Robot Chicken. Dave currently resides in Los Angeles. In his free time, he enjoys flying airplanes, playing ice hockey, and golf. Inside Mental Health Podcast Host Gabe Howard is an award-winning writer and speaker who lives with bipolar disorder. He is the author of the popular book, "Mental Illness is an Asshole and other Observations," available from Amazon; signed copies are also available directly from the author. Gabe makes his home in the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. He lives with his supportive wife, Kendall, and a Miniature Schnauzer dog that he never wanted, but now can't imagine life without. The Harder They Fall/Finch We've got a lot of news this week, but most notably... In honor of Disney+ Day, we discuss the new project announcements, where the Cars franchise meets… MAD MAX??? Also, why did Darren Aronofsky get behind TWO extreme exploration series starring two of Hollywood's most charismatic men? (12:11) Then we have a DOUBLE review for you. First, we head to the American dusty plains for ‘The Harder They Fall,' an exciting new western on Netflix. With its stellar cast, what does this film add to the western genre? Also, why are horses always caught up in the middle of human conflict? (35:21) For our second review, we head to post-apocalyptic St. Louis for ‘Finch' (aka Turner and Hooch 2049), the new sci-fi spectacular on Apple TV+. Does Tom Hanks turn in another emotional performance against non-human characters? What made Mike so upset? And most importantly, is Finch the long lost son of JOEY GLADSTONE??? (1:01:01)

Happy Full House Friday Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today in honor of Dave Coulier's Birthday (September 21)(Joey Gladstone) I covered S1E10: Joey's Place, which aired on December 4, 1987. In this episode Joey fears that the family doesn't need him anymore when they give him a too-joyful send off. But in reality, they are planning a way to surprise him with space of his own. Meanwhile, Jesse learns that Joey's job as child care provider and housekeeper is not an easy one. I enjoyed this episode and 100% agree Joey did need his own space in fact if I were Joey I would have said before I even move in I need to have my own room or my own space. I mean honestly if I were agreeing to move in for the unforeseeable future to help raise someone's kids that would have been a condition right, having your own room? Can you imagine 8 years of living in a alcove/nook space under the stairs? Even Harry Potter had a door, an enclosed space with a bed and some shelves in his space under the stairs, even if it was just a closet. He had privacy. Something Joey could never get. But then again, privacy was always an issue in that house with that family always wanting to know your business and what you were doing all the time every day. Not to mention the whole family's attitude toward Joey just before he left acting like they didn't need him and making him feel left out. He left for two weeks for a college comedy tour can you imagine having that weighing on your mind thinking while your job is making people laugh. I felt so bad for Joey. I feel he was fully warranted when he came back with the anger he was feeling especially after seeing his stuff gone from the alcove and when he asks the family where all his stuff is they casually/nonchalantly tells him "oh we threw it down in the garage". I'd be Peed off too if I were him. But in the end it's a good thing and he gets his own space. the is just the first of many changes the rooms in the Tanner house over the course of 25 years. Lots of room switching/changing. In fact 3 Seasons later it will change again as Joey's basement apartment turns into the studio and Joey takes Jesse's old bedroom as he and Becky move into the attic. Join me next week when I cover the next episode in the Back To School PART 3 Series Full House S4E6: A Pinch For A Pinch, which aired on October 26, 1990. In this episode Jesse gives Michelle bad advice on how to handle a bully. To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com Have a great weekend everyone!

Racers Krista Baldwin and Joey Gladstone join host Brian Lohnes on this episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast to talk about their seasons, their reasons for competing in NHRA Camping World Drag Racing, and their hard work and struggles to succeed. Baldwin, a third-generation top fuel racer talks about her first race, which was the 2021 Gatornationals, and what she took from the experience while preparing to compete at the NGK Four-Wide Nationals in Charlotte. She talks about her road to top fuel, her family, and the people she had met and who have supported her along the way. Joey Gladstone talks about the incredible race weekend he had at Atlanta Dragway when he rode a motorcycle while recovering from injuries sustained during a 200mph testing crash just weeks before. This is a story of grit, guts, determination, and the will to win. Both of these are hardcore racers and both are budding stars in the world of NHRA Camping World Drag Racing.
Wade dissects 5 “Uncle Joey” episodes of Full House and curses the during most of the show….Meanwhile, the Italian guy just laughs, hysterically .
Andrew Hines and Elon Werner join host Brian Lohnes on this episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast. Werner, the Vice-President of Sports Publicity for the Tony Fay Agency of Texas has long been a presence inside NHRA drag racing, garnering teams like John Force Racing headlines over the years. He talks about the modern world of PR, how things have changed over his 30 years in the sport, and what he is doing to work with people like Kalitta Racing, Justin Ashely, and more each week. The second guest on the show is Andrew Hines who tells the amazing tale of the new Vance and Hines four-valve cylinder head, developing new motorcycles for Cory Reed and Joey Gladstone, testing before Gainesville, and breaking the 200mph barrier with Angelle during the race. Truly an awesome story of applied technology in the sport of NHRA Camping World Drag Racing.
Joey Gladstone and JR Gray join Brian Lohnes on this episode of the NHRA Insider podcast. Both men have backgrounds in drag racing's grudge scene and have worked their way to the worlds of NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle and e3 Spark Plugs Pro Modified respectively. Gladstone talks about the upcoming season and the new Vance and Hines Suzuki motorcycles he will be racing with Cory Reed. The four-valve, fuel-injected bikes will be the most technologically advanced machines in the sport when they debut at Gainesville. JR Gray is one of the most recognized names in the grudge racing world as well as the Radial Vs The World arena of competition as well. With the guts and guile of a scrappy grudge racer, he has earned all the accolades and money that comes with those two forms of competition. He's taken the driver's seat at Mike Janis racing for the 2021 season and will be fun to watch. Two awesome interviews!

Hey Full House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, in honor of Dave Coulier's Birthday, I've decided to cover Full House S6E20: Grand Gift Auto, which aired on March 16, 1993. In this episode Joey gets D.J. a car for her birthday, but the police show up with the news it's stolen and suspect Joey of being the thief. When the Tanners attempt to prove his innocence, Joey gets the impression that he's not appreciated in the family. I really enjoyed this episode, for years Joey has been seen as the funny guy by his family, but he feels the joke's on him when he buys DJ a used car for her 16th birthday and it is reported stolen by the owner. The family rallies around Joey in his defence by using all his goofy possessions like a Scooby Doo Nightshirt (I Want That Shirt), and TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Slippers (I Had Those Same Ones When I was 11, Leonardo) to save him from being arrested. Luckily for Joey the tough lady cop is wowed by his Turtle Slippers and he isn't take to jail. While the family celebrates, Joey is hurt and embarrassed as he lashes out at the family thinking he is the big family joke. I feel for Joey up to a point, but honestly this whole thing would have gone a lot better if Jesse or Danny had gone with him to see this car, granted Joey wanted it to be a surprise for DJ, but now he's out a bit of money, and sadly we don't know how much he laid down for the car. I loved the lady cop and thought the actress did a great job. This is a good life lesson for us all, if a deal seems to go to be true, it probably is, and also never go by yourself to purchase something from someone online. Don't go to someone's house, always meet in a public place, bring a friend in case things are shady. If you don't feel right about something, walk away. This little old lady as Joey describes her will be caught, she is the real thief. I'm sure the bank knows something, and I bet Joey isn't the first person she tried to get with that scam. Join me in October for the first episode in the Grandparents Day Series, I kick this off with Full House S1E4: The Return Of Grandma, which aired on October 9, 1987. In this episode an untimely visit from the guys' mothers turns the house upside down. To EMAIL The Podcast Go To: omhcfhfhpodcast@gmail.com As always please stay safe, stay healthy, stay positive! The first official podcast episode of the Oh Mylanta/ Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House/Fuller House Podcast. Full House S1E1: Our Very First Show Again Airdate: September 22, 1987 In this episode when Danny Tanner's wife Pamela is killed in an auto accident, he finds himself left all alone to raise his three daughters: D.J., Stephanie, and baby Michelle. Fortunately Danny's hair-obsessed, rock-star brother in-law Jesse Cochran, along with Danny's flamboyant, cartoon loving friend Joey Gladstone, move in to help Danny raise his girls. On the first day, D.J. runs away, and Jesse and Joey find extreme difficulty and anxiety in changing Michelle. Also in this episode I talk about my diaper changing dilemma (taking care of my nephew when I was 13) as well as talk about a couple movies that focused on adults who were clueless when it came to changing a baby’s diaper like Three Men and A Baby and Baby Boom. Both released a month or two after Full House Premiered. The late 80’s seemed to be baby crazed because Look Who’s Talking would be released 2 years later. DJ wasn’t the only one dealing with an absent mom and having to share a room. I really identified with that aspect. Overall, I had a great time recording this episode. At the end of the episode I’ll do the segments: Best Outfit/Worst Outfit Favorite Line Of The Episode And Lesson Learned From This Episode This episode is over 2 hours long so settle in and don’t worry this is a podcast you can feel comfortable listening to with your kids around . Happy Monday Wonderlings , Angela Bowen here, the host of Looking Back on My Wonder Years: A Wonder Years Podcast. Here's the second to last remaining episode of Season 4. S4E13: Who’s Aunt Rose? Air Date: February 6, 1991 In this episode Following the death of a very distant relative, Grandpa Arnold comes to visit and convinces the family to attend the funeral and burial. While at the event, Kevin begins to think about the mortality of his dad and grandfather. The return of Grandpa Arnold was nice to see, he can always be counted on for a laugh. Poor Jack gets poked in the belly twice in good humor, once by his dad, than his cousin Loyd (you may recognize the actor if you watched Full House, he played Joey Gladstone's father Col. Gladstone). The boys get $20 which they later proceed to lose when they're fighting over it while leaning over the casket and the money falls onto poor dead Aunt Rose. That money is gone, or is it? Wayne devises a plan to get it back with something that looks like string or dental floss and some chewing gum. We never get to see this play out however because the casket is now been officially closed. This fight over the lost $20 escalates in the backseat with poor Norma trying and failing to break it up, since she and the boys are smooshed together back there, there's really not any room to pull Kevin away from Wayne. Grandpa's had enough of it though since he first witnessed the boys scrapping it up in the bathroom at the funeral parlor and screams at them to get out of the car, then tells them if they can be respectful they can join them at the cemetary two miles down the road. I loved the scene towards the end in the car between Kevin and his Dad while it's night time and everyone else is asleep. Kevin looks at his Dad and says "Dad, don't ever die, ok" and Jack turns his head ever so slightly and smirk smiles " Don't worry Kev, I'm not gonna die" And knowing what we know now, I'm all like, hold on to those next five years Kev and treasure them. Later this week we get the last episode of S4E14: Courage, which aired on February 13, 1991. In this episode following a trip to the dentist, Kevin finds out that he needs to have a cavity filled. He puts off going back in fear that he will look like a coward in front of the lovely dental hygienist, who is always complimenting him on his courage. Have a great Monday everyone!
