Start off with an old-school Kids' Sports Update before getting to the movie.Yor, The Hunter from the Future: A caveman with a backstory, such that there is one, similar to Lonestar in Spaceballs wanders around the Turkish countryside causing mayhem. He meets women. They fall in love with him. Other cavemen come along and destroy shit. Then SUDDENLY, there's space ships and laser beams. Apparently Yor is actually from an advanced civilization! And his civilization is fighting another civilization of bad guys who want to create a world of androids. There is no time travel. This is all happening on the same planet at the same time and no one noticed. Whatever. Yor, The Movie with the Wordy Title final grade: Steve: I wanted to like this one, but Antonio Marrrgggeriiitttiii's attempt to take a four-hour mini-series and pare it down to a 90-minute movie probably lost a lot of the plot. Tarzan/Flash Gordon mash-up was too convoluted. 1.8/5.0Brandon: The first 60 minutes of this movie had nothing to do with the last 30. There wasn't any attempt to tie the Star Wars-y stuff to the caveman stuff. Yor wasn't even from the future. He was just from a different part of the same beachfront property. 1.9/5.0Cocktail of the Week:The Cosmic Caveman1 oz Bourbon1/2 oz Mezcal1/2 oz Blue Curaçao1 oz Pineapple Juice1/2 oz Fresh-squeezed Lime Juice1/2 oz Honey SyrupAngostura Bitters1/2 oz Over-proof RumCombine everything except the rum in a cocktail shaker. Shake to combine and chill, then strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with a lime wheel laid on top. Pour over-proof rum onto lime wheel/chunk and light the rum on fire. Cocktail Grade: ChatGPT is clearly in the tank for Big Blue Curaçao. Looks like toxic waste. Doesn't taste great. You don't make enough money to support ChatGPT's liquor budget. Really gave Steve some tummy troubles the next morning. 1.3/5.0------------------Contact us with feedback or cocktail/movie recommendations to:boozeandbmovies@gmail.comX: @boozeandbmoviesInstagram: @boozeandbmoviesThreads: @boozeandbmovieswww.facebook.com/boozeandbmovies

This week, we talk about "Yor, the Hunter from the Future," or as we like to call it, ""Reb Brown, the Dolph Lundgren from the Bargain Bin." This movie is a little bit He-Man, and a little bit Star Wars, but it's mostly a disjointed piece of shit that has the entertainment value of slamming your dick in a car door, and the subtlety of a pillowcase full of doorknobs being thrown down a service stairwell. Okay, so check it out: Yor saving only the sexy! Lots of cheekage! Flooding the cave full of females! Consuming corpse water! Ka-Laa kill Rea! Women want Yor, and cavemen are cucks! Robot replacement theory! Pandora's pleasure box! Two strikes for the Italians! Carnivorous triceratops! Choice meats! The ole “born with a mysterious medallion" trope! Fantasia Bat hang gliding! Exploding people living in a cave! Slow-mo dinos! Bloody tongue tickles! Bleep-Boop-Peyooooh! Atomic piles, and much, much more on this week's episode of The Worst Movie Ever Made! www.theworstmovieevermade.com
If you believe there's such a thing as truth in advertising, this movie will put an end to any such delusions. First of all, he's not from the future. He's a caveman in a loincloth. There's no time travel other than the time it takes for this crappy movie to be over. AND...on the poster we see our hero Yor shouting up at these bright, shiny UFOs in the sky, like he's at some outdoor E.L.O. concert produced by Steven Spielberg. Do we actually see these spaceships in the movie? Of course not. I bet the poster had a bigger budget than the film itself. Oh, and I didn't even mention the theme song...an affront to the art of music and yet pretty darn catchy...what's the deal with this flick? And a better question: why do I watch it so often and own it on blu-ray? Maybe there are answers to be found within this podcast. Even if there aren't, it's pretty hilarious and I even suckered my buddy Professor Dave Chan into watching it and engaging in conversation about it, knowing full well he's got much better things to do. What a sport! One thing's for sure: YOR gonna laugh when you hear this!
This week we'll be venturing into the past; a world of cavemen, brave women, floppy dinosaurs, and as much dubbing than you can throw a rubber axe at . Yes, it's Yor, the Hunter from the Future. Join us as we revisit Yor the Hunter from the Future! A warrior seeks his true origins in a seemingly prehistoric wasteland. He was a powerful warrior from the future, trapped in a prehistoric land, battling for the survival of his people. He is from a future world. Trapped in prehistoric times. Searching for his past. A hunter of incredible power and strength. In his quest for his origin, he and the woman he loves must fight hostile tribes. Battle deadly beasts. And try to survive the violent forces of a newly born Earth.
Yor does not come from the future. He comes from over there. Sorry for the spoiler. He is still awesome. The ladies love him, the men fear him and Yor believes himself to be the most rad dude of all time and he might be right. Yor is one of those wacky Italian movies that believes to be a good idea with a good story but is just a mess of silly business. Yor bounces smugly from scene to scene veritably stating directly to the audience, "Hey, did you know I'm awesome? Cause I am." His motivations aren't clear, his actions are bonkers, and his idiom is dubious. He's great. He even has his own awesome theme song (Yor's World) that rivals "Do You Want to Be a Hero" from Biggles: Adventure in Time and "Stargrove" from Never Too Young To Die. Yor: The Hunter from the Future is one heck of a good time and is required viewing for any fan of the swords and sandals genre, as long as you like stupid crap. Individual Ratings: Over the top action:Cheesy effects:Horrendous acting:Laugh-out-loud-ability:Ridiculous stunts:Gratuitous nudity:Memorable one-liners: Overall Ratings: Good Movie Quality: Bad Movie Quality:
Time to cleanse your palate of all that horror! Grab your swords and sandals, call out to your animal allies and get ready to cut some choice dinosaur meats! First up, Perseus must find a way to become the Gorgon slayer, or the Princess Andromeda will be served up as fish food for the Kraken, in Clash of the Titans (1981)! A complete lunatic, and his trio of witches, are out to sacrifice the children of the local townspeople to their god. It's up to Dar, along with his furry and feathered pals, to put an end to the madness, in The Beastmaster (1982)! And then from there, a science fiction/fantasy epic, featuring one of the most incredible theme songs of all time! It can only be Yor, the Hunter from the Future (1983)! Beware the beast of the night, or you'll need a lot more hemp before you're through with this journey!

Please turn off your cellphones and grab a dinosaur killing cave axe, a old dude with greasy titties, a shiny radio, and a couple of ladies, we're going for a cheesetastic ride that kicks off our annual Spectacle, B-Movie March! For our 54th Commentary, we travel back to the future...or past...it's not really known, what we do know is it happened in 1983, and it was this flick starring Reb Brown, Corinne Clery, Luciano Pagozzi, and John Steiner! Things get wacky as we try our damnedest to figure out just what the hell this movie is about, we ponder if this theme song is one of the best ever, we marvel that a longer version of this story may exist, and Fitz tees up a cliffhanger that we can't wait to follow up on next week! Gang, reclamation is upon us as B-Movie March 3: The Redemption starts right here and RIGHT NOW!!!

On this episode of the SLPS our heroes are taking a strange journey from the dinosaur filled prehistoric era all the way to the robot filled future. Yes, on this episode they'll be discussing YOR, THE HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE. Directed by Antonio Margheriti under the pseudonym Anthony M. Dawson and written by Margheriti and Robert Bailey. Set before the dawn of time, strange savage beasts roam the land and cave people fight for survival. YOR is the mightiest hunter around but walks alone without a tribe. YOR’s origins are unknown, and the only clue he has it a mystical golden medallion that he’s had around his neck since he was a child. Yor sets on a quest of discovery along with two new companions, a priestess named Kala and her protector Pag to find where he fits in this wo rld. YOR, THE HUNTER FROM THE FUTURE was by far the most successful film Margheriti directed but was critically panned by the likes of Variety, the New York Times and the Washington Post which claimed “Even gluttons for dumbness may find it easy to refrain from second helpings”. To top it all off, YOR was nominated for three Golden Raspberry Awards. However, that being said, the film lives on today with a strong cult following and even the director admits it’s not a great film, but he’s proud of it. As always, please rate, review and subscribe on your favorite podcast app as we really appreciate it. Colin discovers that in Yor's world, he's the man, as we grovel before Yor: The Hunter from the Future (1983) in which we follow our musclebound hero (Reb Brown, TV's original Captain America) on a sword and sorcery quest to rescue fair maidens, defeat hideous beasts, and ultimately discover the mysterious origin of his people. Listen as we discover there's no bad movie magic like that of bad Italian movies; discuss the pros and cons of using action figures as your stunt performers; and, bemoan and the absolute disservice the Razzies awarded to Yor's epic theme song; all that and more on this week's exciting episode! Yor, hunter of dinosaurs, savior to many, is on a quest to find out his own history and lost origins. Along the way he picks up a small group to aid in his search for his people. Two thirds Conan, and one third Star Wars, Yor: Hunter From the Future (1983) is a strange anomaly of Italian cinema. A spaghetti sci-fi, fantasy, if you will. Yor stars Reb Brown of 70's Captain America fame, Corinne Clery who would later be a Bond girl in Moonraker, John Steiner, Carole Andre, Luciano Pigozzi, and Ayshe Gul. The world of Yor is complete insanity and thus perfect for an Invasion style remake! Don't you dare miss it! One of those times, Cory said to Chris and Donnie, "I wish I recorded some of the stuff we say" and the idea for MGT was born. More Gooder Than is a weekly podcast in which we rate and dissect pop culture, one argument at a time. Chris, Donnie, and Cory will each take a stance on a movie, actor, character, episode or whatever else we feel like defending and try to determine who's side is the Most Goodest. You'll be able to listen to each episode on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, this website, and PodBean every Wednesdays. Stay Gooder, Home Trees!"

In this episode, Katherin and I review Yor: The Hunter from the Future -- quite possibly the Greatest Movie EVER!
After the intense pain of the last episode, the hosts have decided to sit back with some sweet bass riffs and genocide, courtesy of Yor, the Hunter from the Future, a movie in which the bulging pectorals and overbearing theme song are constantly fighting for screen time. It's just as awesome as it sounds. Please visit http://tranquiltirades.wikia.com.

Twas the night before Thanksgiving, when on a drunk podcast. Not a single beer was left, not even a Pabst. The movie we chose starred the manly Reb Brown. Yor, The Hunter From The Future did not make us frown. The boys were still laughing with beers in their hands. While Gina’s level of tolerance greatly expands. And that’s about it for this lovely B Movie Breakdown poem, because the movie we watched this week warranted us getting as drunk as we did. We do apologize for the levels of silliness in this episode, but Yor brought that out in us for sure. Reb Brown plays the “future” barbarian looking to find himself as he battles ape like men and many Darth Vaders. Oh and we almost forgot to mention Yor’s amazing theme song and badass hair! Go watch this movie on Amazon Instant Watch then enjoy this lovely and silly episode of the podcast! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/bmoviebreakdown/support
