Proactive's Tylah Tully breaks down ‘Just the Facts' of the latest news from Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX:FRS). The company has secured an additional tenement under a 12-month option adjacent to its Bonnie Vale Project, near Coolgardie in Western Australia's Eastern Goldfields. The new tenement, east of the company's existing holdings, includes the southern extension of the Kunanalling Shear Zone—a prominent regional structure associated with significant gold-bearing resources, such as Evolution Mining's 5-million-ounce Mungari Project. The option agreement involves a $15,000 fee paid to Amery Holdings Pty Ltd. Upon expiration of the option period, Forrestania can acquire 100% of the tenement for $35,000, payable in shares based on a five-day volume-weighted average price at that time. During the option period, Forrestania plans to conduct literature and historical data reviews, followed by fieldwork to validate findings. The tenement is expected to feature in upcoming exploration programs, complementing ongoing drilling at the nearby Ada Ann prospect, where the company is awaiting assay results from recent reverse circulation drilling. #Proactiveinvestors #ASX #ForrestaniaResources, #GoldExploration, #BonnieValeProject, #WesternAustralia, #MiningNews, #KunanallingShearZone, #MungariProject, #GoldMining, #ASX, #ResourceAcquisition, #ExplorationUpdate, #MineralExploration, #AdaAnnProspect, #EasternGoldfields, #InvestmentNews, #MiningIndustry, #GeologicalSurvey, #DrillingProgram, #GoldAssay, #MiningProjects

The story of Michael Healy is one that tells us much about the Dublin of his time. Born into a working class inner-city family in 1873, Healy was shaped by the artistic and cultural movements of the time, becoming a central figure in the stained glass studio An Túr Gloine. The work of that studio is still to be found across Dublin today. His biographer David Caron joined me in Dublin's Hugh Lane Gallery to discuss Healy and his time. Captain Robert von Ranke Graves (24 July 1895 – 7 December 1985) was an English poet, soldier, historical novelist and critic. His father was Alfred Perceval Graves, a celebrated Irish poet and figure in the Gaelic revival; they were both Celticists and students of Irish mythology.Robert Graves produced more than 140 works in his lifetime. His poems, his translations and innovative analysis of the Greek myths, his memoir of his early life—including his role in World War I—Good-Bye to All That (1929), and his speculative study of poetic inspiration The White Goddess have never been out of print. He is also a renowned short story writer, with stories such as "The Tenement" still being popular today. He earned his living from writing, particularly popular historical novels such as I, Claudius; King Jesus; The Golden Fleece; and Count Belisarius. He also was a prominent translator of Classical Latin and Ancient Greek texts; his versions of The Twelve Caesars and The Golden Ass remain popular for their clarity and entertaining style. Graves was awarded the 1934 James Tait Black Memorial Prize for both I, Claudius and Claudius the God. Get full access to The Daily Poem Podcast at dailypoempod.substack.com/subscribe

Torque Metals Ltd (ASX:TOR) managing director Cristian Moreno sits down with Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss the completion of extension drilling at its wholly owned flagship Paris Gold Project, southeast of Kalgoorlie on the gold-rich Boulder-Lefroy Fault Zone. Assay results are imminent and a new drilling phase is being planned. Moreno also talks about an option agreement to acquire a 100% interest in a strategic package of tenements with gold and lithium potential in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. This acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to consolidate prospective ground near its Penzance Exploration Camp, which includes the New Dawn lithium and Paris gold discoveries. The tenements span approximately 250 square kilometres, increasing Torque's project area to around 1,200 square kilometres. This expansion will provide Torque with a dominant position in the region. The tenements are near notable projects such as Lord Resources' Horse Rocks, Future Battery Minerals' Kangaroo Hills and Mineral Resources' Mt Marion Lithium Project. These areas share similar geological characteristics, primarily greenstone belts with adjacent intrusions, indicating strong potential for gold and lithium. Torque has also applied for additional tenements to expand its New Dawn Lithium Project. Moreno highlighted that upon exercising the options, Torque would secure 100% ownership of the tenements, enhancing its portfolio to include 13 mining, four prospecting and 38 exploration licences. The company has initiated geological mapping and sampling at new target areas, preparing for initial drilling campaigns. #ProactiveInvestors #TorqueMetals #ASX #GoldExploration #LithiumExploration #WesternAustralia #MiningAcquisition #Goldfields #MineralResources #ExplorationProjects #GeologicalMapping #LithiumProspects #GoldPotential #MiningTenements #ResourceExpansion #MiningIndustry #NewDawnProject #PenzanceCamp #MiningNews #StrategicAcquisition #GeologicalSurvey #ExplorationCampaigns #invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

Spinning Out (another music podcast) We talk to artists about their favorite albums and go on wild tangents. This week on the pod I'm joined by Amos Pitsch of the band Dusk, and also of Tenement. We talked about NRBQ's 1972 album, "Scraps" We chat about the history of the band, the definition of power pop and branching out with your songwriting. So, if you're coming here as a big NRBQ fan, then just to note, there's tons we don't know about the history of the band. This chat is really more about our shared experience with discovering NRBQ. Speaking for myself, I'm a pretty new fan, somehow only really digging in over the last three or so years. Right after my chat with Amos I watched this very informative A&E piece on the band that really fills in a lot of holes we both had during our conversation. And if you're pretty new to the band yourself, I'd highly recommend that piece, if just for the hi-jinks the band pulls during it. Another piece worth checking out is Connie Chung's piece on the band from the late 1980s. With all of that said, I had a lot of fun catching up with Amos and really loved his band Dusk's newest album, Glass Pastures. Check it out now on Don Giovanni Records. https://countrydusk.bandcamp.com/album/glass-pastures Subscribe to our Patreon here: www.patreon.com/spinningoutpod Follow us on social media -- twitter and instagram (@Spinningoutpod)

It's a Roger tune. It's from Sheer Heart Attack. It's a song The Cardinal does not know, so Kev gets to watch his pal hear the song for the first time. We get into the weeds about endings and medleys and solos, oh my! There's more talk about Metallica's drummer (honestly, this is the last week!) and Randy reveals why he didn't buy his wife a Christmas present this year. He also gets all emotional about a rescue. It's pathetic, to be frank. If Randy were to title this episode, he'd probably call it "Rog', just turn down the stereo!" or maybe "Mr. Randy really fucking blew it this time..."Today's episode covers Roger's solo contribution to "Sheer Heart Attack" and he's wearing purple shoes. The More Sibyl Podcast Presents: 어린 시절의 추억| The One with Olabimpe - On Childhood Memories in Tenement Buildings: Episode 20 (2023)Welcome back to another thought-provoking episode of our podcast! This week, we're joined by the inspiring Olabimpe, sharing heartfelt experiences growing up in tenement buildings or "Face Me, I Slap You" houses. It's a part of my life I never thought I'd share publicly, but it's crucial to empower others through our story.Tenement buildings are communal spaces where multiple families reside, sharing kitchens and bathrooms, often facing poor living conditions and overcrowding. We delve into the unique challenges and intricate relationships of this living arrangement. Our journey takes us into the shame, retraction, and challenges we faced living in such spaces and the lasting impact as adults. Olabimpe shares how it made her extra cautious and jumpy in unfamiliar places, while for me, it sparked an obsession with cleaning and maintaining a tidy space.Growing up in these conditions was truly eye-opening. We discuss the reluctance to invite friends over due to stigmatization. Even though we had control over our words and appearance, living conditions left emotional impacts, almost akin to PTSD, according to Olabimpe. Our experiences offer profound insights into the impact of housing situations on a child's emotional and mental well-being. Despite the challenges, we found strength in tight-knit relationships and community support. We address stigmatization and explore ways to break stereotypes and embrace our true selves. Our parents played central roles throughout our stories, providing crucial support during tough times. Honoring them is essential, as they created a safe and loving environment despite the circumstances.Reflecting on our journeys, we're proud of how far we've come and all we have gained. This episode offers hope that time and the smallest changes made to one's environment can bring positive change, and we're living proof of this. With all our love,Mo! x Bimpe.

In 1979, the Washington Bullets visited Manila for a game against a selection of PBA players, marking the first official visit from NBA players to the Philippines. Since then, a number of players have visited, both for NBA-sponsored games and events, like the Houston Rockets v Indiana Pacers 2013 preseason game, and for their own sneaker tours and personal visits. LeBron James has been memorialized at the famous Tenement court with his handprint, Chandler Parsons had fans asking his dad for an autograph, and Robin Lopez said he and Wesley Matthews “felt like rockstars” while visiting. However, one NBA star rises above the rest when we think about the impact he had on the Philippines - both at an individual level, connecting with fans one-on-one, and as a nation of basketball lovers. Cassidy Hubbarth and Nikko Ramos discuss the NBA players who have visited the Philippines over the years, and the lasting legacy of the Black Mamba. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I couldn't argue with that. :-) Apart from their own musical adventures - which stretch back to the 1980s and include the indie rock band Thrum, they have collaborated with, among others: Bell and Sebastian, Chris Connelly, James Grant of Love & Money, Chris Coco. Monica has duetted with none other than Shane McGowan of the Pogues. We chat about how they met, their musical influences, record deals, their adventures in America and working with big-name producers - including our very own Edwin Collins.  Links Tenement & Temple on Bandcamp Pat's Guide to Glasgow West End. @glasgowswestend Music by Jim Byrne

The superhero movie “The Crow,” released in 1994, will forever be known for two events.  First, the tragic death of lead actor Brandon Lee, son of Bruce Lee, during production of the film would cast a pall over the movie from then on.  Second, the outstanding music of The Crow:  Original Motion Picture Soundtrack would result in a chart-topping album.  This soundtrack is a veritable who's who of alternative rock at the time, including artists like The Cure, Violent Femmes, Nine Inch Nails, and Stone Temple Pilots. The Crow is based on a comic book series of the same name, written in 1989.  The protagonist is brutally killed by a gang along with his fiancée, and is brought back to life by a crow to wreak vengeance on the murderers. This soundtrack would hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 charts in 1994.Friend of the show John Lynch leads the commentary on this album.Burn by The CureThe Cure was an inspiration for James O'Barr, the creator of the comic series, and lead man Robert Smith wrote this song specifically for the film.  Burn leads off the album.  Golgotha Tenement Blues by Machines of Loving GraceThis song was also written specifically for the film.  The name of the song takes Christian imagery and reflects it on the dark mood set by the movie.  Golgotha was the place where Jesus was crucified, and Tenement reflects the ghetto where the protagonist originated.  The song appears only on the soundtrack, not on any MOLG album.Color Me Once by Violent FemmesThis track would significantly enhance the popularity of the Violent Femmes.  The song depicts disappointment in relationships when hard realities dash hopes.  Slip Slide Melting by For Love Not LisaA rocking track from an underrated group.  KISS alum Ace Frehley wrote songs and made guest appearances with For Love Not Lisa.  Slip Slide Melting appears on their first album entitled “Melting,” which was released in 1993.  They would release one other album before disbanding in 1996. ENTERTAINMENT TRACK:Main Theme from NFL on FOX Newcomer network FOX debuts its first NFL game in August of 1994.   STAFF PICKS:New Age Girl by Deadeye DickWayne leads off the staff picks with a song from the soundtrack of “Dumb and Dumber.”  The song describes Mary Moon, a new age vegetarian.  It generated some controversy with its lyrics, “she don't eat meat, but she sure likes the bone.”  Some radio stations would edit out the word "bone."  Breathe by Collective Soul Rob features a song off Collective Soul's 1993 album “Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid.”  Hailing from Stockbridge, Georgia, Collective Soul would have a number of hits beginning in the 1990s, particularly “Shine” and “The World I Know.”Come to My Window by Melissa EtheridgeBrian brings us the second single from Etheridge's breakout fourth album “Yes I Am.”  The song remained in the Billboard Hot 100 for 44 weeks.  Etheridge would win a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.Don't Turn Around by Ace of BaseJohn Lynch closes out the staff picks with Swedish reggae group Ace of Base, performing a remastered song originally performed by Tina Turner in 1986.  Ace of Base would take their version to number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. INSTRUMENTAL TRACK:Theme from the motion picture “The Little Rascals”A movie version of the of the old Our Gang comedy short films from 1922 was released in this month.
