In this week's very short #wildwmnpodcast Elizabeth shares about her creative vision for the future. In a world where we've all been taught certain things, believed certain things and carried certain stories with us, this is your permission to take yourself apart. What does it look like when we unleash, when we tear the walls down and we allow rebirth to come from destruction? This piece that Elizabeth shares came about during her writing group led by Jillian Hanson and Kim Agnew called Blue Sky Black Sheep. The prompt was "Go Ahead, Take Yourself Apart" and came from a poem "Enlightenment" written by Jilian. Giver yourself permission, not only to take yourself apart but to dream, to create space for creativity and to identify the artist within you.#wearethewildwmnwww.wildwmn.comJoin us in Costa Rica! or read about Transformational Travel here.

After an awakening weekend, when Elizabeth spent her first night away from her two-year-old, Elizabeth found new parts of her self she thought she'd lost. She also re-assessed her relationship with all the parts of herself she had boxed off and labeled and is opening her self up to more acceptance and self-love. In this solo episode of the #wildwmnpodcast Elizabeth shares about her experience with manifestation and the "magic" of the universe. There have been times in Elizabeth's journey when she's almost lost faith in the universe's ability to provide, only to be reminded that the more we surrender, the more we let go, the more we come into contact with our own greater truth. Elizabeth's manifestation journeys are often long, but she's learned that if you set truthful intention if you put in the work and then you let go - things to happen, you can't control exactly how, but the more you lean into what it is you want, the more the universe can provide. After 3 years of manifestation Elizabeth maybe ( it's in escrow) purchasing the home of her dreams in Topanga. For a long time, she has envisioned what it would be like to live at one with nature, in her own space, as a family, connected to the wild and now, it is finally happening. This year has been a great year for actualizing dreams, but it is only in retrospect that Elizabeth can see how it's all come together. Tomorrow is Earth's second birthday and Elizabeth is approaching two years postpartum. Two years of mothering, two years of metamorphosis, two years of evolving and two years of coming out of the cocoon of birth. This time of year is a time of intense manifestation and right now Elizabeth is going through yet another reawakening. She is unlearning and relearning everything she thought she knew. Looking back Elizabeth was so fragile, so vulnerable, so naive in those few weeks postpartum yet she felt so strong, so empowered, so fierce. In this podcast, Elizabeth looks at postpartum in the longterm, not just a few weeks following birth. She just feels like she is emerging, coming through the other side. Whether you are a mother or not, you should know that you can rebirth yourself at any time, that you can reawaken, grow, evolve, Pheonix rising from the flames. In this solo episode of the WILD WMN podcast Elizabeth shares about the pattern of loss and what losing her dad feels like two years on. Whilst in many ways time heals, it also doesn't. The more time passes, the more events, happenings, and opportunities to share are missed. This is part of the pattern and circle of living, and whilst death is an organic, wild part of our human experience, it still requires tenderness and navigation. Human death is part of the cycle of life but there are also patterns in our environment, in our nature, on our planet. Fire has traditionally been used to cleanse the land, to fertilize the soil and to ignite life BUT the fires that are burning in the Amazon are not natural. Even so, can we turn this fuel, can we turn this fire into a passion, so we can collectively rise, Pheonix from the ashes and make an actionable change? On this episode of the WILD WMN podcast, Elizabeth is sharing about her relationship to bleeding and the wild cycle of being a wmn. Elizabeth suffered from amenorrhea for many years, whilst it was likely connected to years of an acute eating disorder, she also felt that was not the whole story, there was more to it. She was not connected to her wild cycles, to her womb space, to her womanhood. She was dissociated from her body and in being so, lost connection to her cadence. Now, Postpartum Elizabeth has bled twice and experienced her body resyncing with the moon. She is wild, a moon child. She's letting go of labels. She is. In her early twenties, Elizabeth healed her amenorrhea by connecting to the moon and spending time laying on the Earth. She would love to hear from others who connect to the moon or those that are suffering from amenorrhea. Whether you are thinking about having a baby, pregnant or recently had one, whether you are a birth worker or a partner of someone having a baby - I think this podcast is relevant, but I also think it is relevant to humans in general. Maybe you will never have a baby - but Empowered Birth still relates to you - because you were birthed into this world by a mother. What is Empowered Birth? It's information, it's choice, it's being seen and heard. Birth can happen in a hospital, in a birthing center or at home but if mamas are the ones pioneering and leading their own birthing then we can put the power back in women's hands. Unfortunately, we leave in a country that strips women of their power in birth, and in doing so, we strip women of their birthright, to know their strength, resilience and creative power. Sign up for Empowered Birth here. A 21-day course that will be free from the 12th August to the 1st September. In this podcast, Elizabeth is joined by her husband and daughter for a chaotic podcast about raising a child. It's not got great sound, there are squeals of laughter, but it IS working through the shadow into the light. Elizabeth is heading to Costa Rica for two weeks with her family and will return with the final episode to the season. Let's hope it's a good one!#wearethewildwmn@wearethewildwmn
In this solo episode of the WILD WMN podcast, Elizabeth does a little catch up about father's day, thinks about what it must have been like to parent alone for her mama, and sends her love and best wishes to all mamas doing it alone. As we pass the full moon and head towards the summer solstice Elizabeth speaks on what it means to be a witch. She shares about her relationship with the word, "witch" and how it has grown and evolved over the years. Midsummer is a time of wildness, a time to connect to your green witch, your white witch and all the different shades of witch within you. Join Elizabeth as she chats with her teacher, colleague, and friend Justine Malick about all things core, grounding, and mindful movement. Justine and Elizabeth both believe that movement is medicine and you can hear their passion in this discussion. Justine is a pilates & yoga teacher with a background in ice dance - when she gave up her identity as a competitive ice skater she found yoga and pilates, which helped her connect to her body, breath and find new ways to heal her mind/ body connection. Justine's revolutionary class mindful mat is a grounding pilates practice that connects to the breath. Post-baby Elizabeth has found the practice challenging but it has given her a new way to connect to her core. Elizabeth and Justine cover a million subjects from travel, to Aryuveda, to empowering women and we hope you enjoy the show. In this solo episode of the WILD WMN podcast, Elizabeth talks about Motherhood and expectation, her challenges as a parent right now and how she is choosing to mother her toddler. As an infant, motherhood was fairly intuitive but not as a parent Elizabeth has to choose ways to shape her daughter. Mothers Day is a day with a lot of expectation and expectation often sets us up for failure. Elizabeth shares how that failure pushed her into a pit and how her Mothers Day catapulted down a rabbit hole. The strain on her relationship meant she fought with her husband and the "perfect" day she envisioned didn't happen - BUT she chose to validate her own experience and create her own internal JOY instead. Elizabeth also shares about grief and about how building a home in the desert brings up feelings of loss. Remembering her father is an important part of being a parent and it's funny how grief flares up when you least expect it. Elizabeth wouldn't be able to talk about Motherhood without sharing her opinion on the recent bill passed in Georgia and what that means for women and mothers everywhere. When our rights are being taken away from us, we need to fight back with love!#wearethewildwmnIf you would like to join us on our upcoming retreat in Joshua Tree then sign up here.
