S6 E8 Gemini New MoonIf Ever There Was a Week for Big MagicIf ever there was a moment for what I'd call big magic - this is that moment. There is something gathering in the collective field right now that I can only describe as a crescendo. A quality of possibility that doesn't come around often. And at the heart of it, this New Moon is asking a very specific question: who is planting your seeds? Not who you were - who you are becoming. In this episode: the crossroads we are collectively standing at and what the two roads actually feel like in the body. The rare convergence of love and expansion available right now - and why the condition of that abundance is authenticity, not achievement. A channelled transmission on what you've sacrificed in order to belong, the Wild Woman pressing forward, and the shattering that liberates. Find somewhere comfortable. What severs women from their wild, instinctual selves? Or maybe the better question is: when did we become disconnected in the first place? In this episode, we explore the concept of “Wild Severance” — the gradual disconnection many women experience from their intuition, instincts, bodies, power, and truth. Inspired by the work of Clarissa Pinkola Estés, we unpack the systems, experiences, and conditioning that teach women to override themselves in order to belong, perform, and stay safe. We talk about the subtle and overt ways women are taught to disconnect from their natural essence — and what it means to begin rewilding ourselves back into wholeness. In This Episode We Discuss: How patriarchal systems condition women to perform rather than trust themselves Kate's early experience interviewing for a law job and being told not to wear her wedding ring Betsy's story of religious conditioning that taught her the body was sinful and untrustworthy The lasting impact of Victoria’s Secret and cultural messaging around women's bodies Why systems of control benefit when women are disconnected from community, intuition, and each other The tension many women felt around taking their husband's last name — and ignoring the instinct that questioned it How trauma disconnects women from instinct and intuition Dr. Estés' insight that wounded women can become more vulnerable to promises of safety, ease, and approval Betsy's story of early trauma and how it severed her connection to herself The danger of teaching girls to always “be nice” Why compliance and people-pleasing often require women to override their intuition The truth that a mother wolf would never teach her cubs to ignore danger signals Teaching daughters to trust themselves instead of abandoning themselves for approval Dr. Estés' question: “Why do women keep bending and folding themselves into shapes that aren't theirs?” The fear many women have of their own power Betsy's retreat experience of standing fully in her power — and how terrifying that felt Why fear itself isn't the problem unless it stops us from using our gifts in the world Spring and summer as natural seasons for rewilding and reconnection Key Takeaway Rewilding begins with awareness. The first step is acknowledging where you have been severed from yourself — your body, intuition, instincts, voice, desires, or power. From there, healing becomes a return. Not becoming someone new, but remembering who you were before the disconnection. It's hard to fathom that this podcast has lasted this long — and even more incredible that the energy surrounding it only seems to be getting stronger. What continues to emerge through these conversations is a deep collective longing: to understand ourselves more fully, to reclaim forgotten parts of ourselves, and to return to something ancient and true. Again and again, we find ourselves circling back to the essence of the Wild Woman archetype — woman's deepest nature. In a culture where the modern woman is often a blur of activity, pressured to be everything to everyone, these conversations remind us that the old knowing is long overdue. The episodes and guests below left a lasting imprint on us — conversations that challenged us, expanded us, comforted us, and called us closer to ourselves. Highlights for Kate & Betsy Episode 172 — Sarah Goettsch Sarah is a fierce advocate for social justice and an unapologetic ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. She brings both fire and empathy to her ministry, shaped by resilience, courage, and a deep commitment to those on the margins. Her story of navigating divorce as a pastor — while feeling the judgment of her congregation — was deeply impactful. She spoke openly about people harmed by religion and shared that her husband is an atheist, emphasizing that faith is deeply personal: it is between us and our God.  Her willingness to “go to the edge” challenged us to rethink the role of church and organized religion. She reminded us that while traditional religion may not be necessary for everyone, spiritual wrestling — with love, existence, meaning, and eternity — still matters profoundly. Highlights for Betsy Sasha Boros — Episode 29 Sasha spoke about no longer sacrificing connection to herself. She described feeling something within her urging her forward — pushing her toward change, even when it felt terrifying. One of the most memorable reflections: “The Universe will push you to the edge of the cliff and encourage you to jump.” Her honesty about standing in the free fall — where life feels exciting, terrifying, hopeful, and unknown all at once — captured something many women quietly experience when stepping into authenticity. Lyz Lenz — Episode 103 Lyz's unapologetic honesty left a profound impression. She spoke about the foundation of Western marriage as a political institution — one historically rooted in inequality rather than happiness. She shared how many women believe they are the problem inside unhappy marriages, and how it takes radical imagination to envision entirely different ways of loving and living. Her reflections on freedom were unforgettable. Nina Lohman — Episode 122 Nina's story carried tenderness and deep respect. One moment especially stayed with us: “We are going to have two houses now. We're going to be one of those families that has two houses now.” Her approach modeled dignity, compassion, and care even through enormous life transitions. Highlight for Kate Episode 173 — Maddie Corman — Accidentally Brave Hearing Maddie's personal story — and the resistance she faced trying to get her project picked up — was incredibly powerful. She spoke about how betrayal stories where women stay are rarely told. The cultural narrative often only makes room for women who leave dramatically. Because of that, many women navigating complicated realities feel isolated and unsupported. Her work created space for those untold stories. Highlight for Betsy Episode 154 — Kristin Hanggi Betsy reflected on the synchronicity and fate surrounding Kristin's entrance into her studio and life. Their conversation explored creativity, the heroine's journey, and the deep spiritual dimensions of artistic work. Highlight for Kate  Episode 186 — Live Podcast Event with Dani Worrell This live event explored how connection with loved ones does not necessarily end after death, and how remaining open to signs and synchronicities can keep that connection alive. Witnessing women receive messages that deeply moved them — and seeing tears, healing, and relief in the room — was unforgettable. Ren Stinson — Episode 188 Ren's wisdom around masculinity deeply resonated. He shared stories from his first ten years growing up in Japan and explained the meaning behind his name, Ren, meaning “Lotus.” His mother intentionally chose the name despite resistance, eventually helping normalize it in Japanese culture. Rather than redefining masculinity, Ren speaks about expanding it: giving men permission to feel, modeling emotional honesty, supporting vulnerability, and encouraging men to live beyond restrictive norms. His perspective felt both grounded and hopeful. Highlights for Betsy  Episode 180 — Ginette Biro Ginette's story about hearing a voice say: “Ginette, look down the hall.” —and then seeing her cat staring at a spirit guide — left a profound impression. Her discussion of the “blueprint” theory — that our lives hold certain destined experiences and turning points — opened a conversation about fate, guidance, and spiritual design. Episodes 16 & 94 — Marianne Williamson Having Marianne on the podcast twice was deeply meaningful. Beyond her public image — author, activist, presidential candidate — what stood out most was her humanity. Petite in stature, yet carrying enormous fire, fearlessness, and conviction. Her words about women, power, and courage continue to echo: “Nothing is more of a trigger to the patriarchy than a confident woman.” She challenged women to confront the ways we silence ourselves out of fear of rejection or disapproval. She spoke about moral outrage not as hatred, but as love in action. Her reminder was clear: There is a fierceness required of women now. And the goddess is fierce. Episode 187 — Love and Solidarity: Stories from Minneapolis This conversation explored what it means to embody the Wild Woman archetype during times of collective pain and uncertainty. The episode held heartbreak and humanity together at once: courage in real time, love under pressure, grief, community care, and women choosing presence over paralysis. Inspired by the teachings of Clarissa Pinkola Estés, the conversation reflected on how cultures heal — and what becomes possible when communities become “a family within a family,” tending one another through fear and fierce love. FREE RESOURCE:  Try our Burnout Archetype Quiz: https://twc-jqgxs.involve.me/archetype-quiz In this episode of Wild Medicine, Dr. Michelle Peris explores the themes of self-trust, the Wild Woman archetype, and the impact of good girl conditioning on women's emotional awareness and relationships.  She discusses the importance of understanding sensory data, setting boundaries, and recognizing incongruence in relationships.  The conversation emphasizes the need for effective communication skills and the cost of overanalyzing interactions.  Dr. Peris also introduces the concept of the fawn response, highlighting how hypervigilance can lead to disconnection from one's own needs and desires.  In this conversation, Dr. Michelle Peris delves into the complexities of overthinking, the impact of good girl conditioning, and the importance of setting boundaries. She emphasizes how the nervous system plays a crucial role in our responses to perceived threats and how societal conditioning can lead to self-doubt and compliance.  Through personal anecdotes and insights, she encourages women to trust their instincts and recognize the data their bodies provide, ultimately advocating for a more empowered and authentic way of living.   Takeaways The Wild Woman archetype encourages women to embrace their true selves. Good girl conditioning can lead to a lack of self-trust. Understanding sensory data is crucial for setting boundaries. Congruence in relationships is essential for emotional health. Overanalyzing others' behaviour can lead to confusion and resentment. Effective communication skills are vital for expressing needs. The fawn response can cause disconnection from one's own emotions. Rewilding involves reclaiming one's emotional awareness. Self-trust is foundational for healthy relationships. The cost of not addressing incongruence in relationships is high. Your nervous system is trained to protect you from perceived danger. Good girl conditioning leads to a deep association between compliance and self-worth. Setting boundaries can feel threatening due to past conditioning. Overanalyzing relationships often stems from a desire for safety. The discomfort you feel is a signal of an imbalance, not a betrayal. Honesty in relationships fosters intimacy and connection. Women often struggle to set boundaries due to fear of conflict. Recognizing the mismatch between words and actions is crucial for self-trust. Small adjustments in behaviour can lead to healthier boundaries. Trusting your own data is essential for personal empowerment.   Chapters 00:00 Introduction and Personal Reflections 04:10 Exploring the Wild Woman Archetype 06:41 The Good Girl Tax and Self-Trust 09:10 Understanding Sensory Data and Boundaries 11:34 The Importance of Congruence in Relationships 13:57 Navigating Incongruence and Self-Trust 16:54 The Role of Hypervigilance in Good Girl Conditioning 19:25 Rewilding and Emotional Awareness 21:57 The Cost of Overanalyzing Relationships 24:49 Communication Skills and Emotional Processing 26:48 The Fawn Response and Emotional Regulation 36:45 Understanding the Nervous System's Role in Overthinking 38:05 The Impact of Good Girl Conditioning 40:04 Recognizing the Mismatch Between Words and Action 43:01 The Exhaustion of Overanalyzing Relationships 45:57 The Cost of Inaction and Overanalysis 50:23 The Importance of Setting Boundaries 55:20 Navigating the Fear of Being Seen as Difficult 59:07 Practical Steps to Adjust Boundaries 01:03:14 Understanding the Nervous System's Response to Boundaries 01:06:38 Building Trust in Oneself Through Data Awareness   Stay Wild. Season 4 of Tend Her Wild opens with a refusal to play small. In this episode, we bear witness to what is unfolding in Minneapolis—and across our country—through the lens of the Wild Woman archetype. This conversation is about courage in real time, love under pressure, and what it looks like when women choose presence over paralysis. We ask the question Clarissa Pinkola Estés reminds us of how a culture heals, and we explore what happens when a community becomes “a family within a family,” tending one another through fear, grief, and fierce love. This episode holds pain and power, heartbreak and humanity, and a deep reminder that the wild woman rises precisely in times like these. What the Wild Woman Is Teaching Us Right Now What it means to not play small in moments of cultural rupture How the wild woman archetype shows up as truth-telling, action, and solidarity Why these times are calling women to step forward—even when scared Guest 1: A Minnesota Neighbor & Artist — Bearing Witness Through Action Our first guest is a local neighbor and artist from Minnesota who shares what it is like to live inside the unfolding events in Minneapolis. She reminds us that this is not the time to be quiet, even when fear is present—and that fear is not a reason to disengage. Key reflections from her story: The unique strength and resilience of Minnesotans The truth that we are all immigrants—and how civil liberties are being threatened What it means to live where you cannot step outside without witnessing history How COVID quietly prepared communities by strengthening relationships Neighbors delivering food, showing up, and caring for one another Using personal gifts—art, presence, nourishment—as acts of resistance The power of art as a kind of spell cast outward, carrying love and truth She speaks honestly about the emotional roller coaster of these days, while holding faith that this community is modeling something vital for the rest of the country. Guest 2: An Immigrant's Perspective from Downtown Minneapolis Our second guest is an immigrant who has lived in the United States for nearly 30 years and currently resides in downtown Minneapolis. She shares the disorientation of desolate streets, the fear of leaving home, and the haunting familiarity of carrying papers—echoing memories of wartime survival. Her reflections include: Living with heightened vigilance and fear Recognizing that acts of oppression often stem from fear How community connection becomes harder when people are afraid to be seen The grief of reliving the past Why generosity cannot be taught—but must be practiced “Stay safe” becoming the new greeting She reminds us that anything rooted in fear, greed, or selfishness cannot last—and that when justice is destroyed, it will be reborn. We hold deep gratitude for these two women who chose to bear witness, sharing their stories with honesty and heart. They embody both courage and pain, reminding us that the wild woman does not numb—she stays present, rooted in love, and committed to life. In this episode I sit down with Brittney Michelle - wild pregnancy, sovereign birthing mama and the woman behind Woman Be Wild. Brittney shares the seven-year initiation that carried her from religious conditioning and “good girl” programming into a fully embodied, earth-rooted woman - and the magical 9 months she spent with her Mother, before the Father of her child walked into her life!We trace the moments that cracked her open: the vow she made to her bloodline, the near-death experience and the slow reclamation of her body, her language and her direct relationship with Spirit.Brittany takes us inside the bones of Woman Be Wild and why this fifth edition feels like the book finally “arrived.” She speaks to writing from a woman who has walked through the underworld, held the line through 2020 and birthed her baby in total sovereignty. We explore the “dead template” - the chain of cultural, religious, medical and political systems that bind women to a lifeless script, and what it means to consciously step outside of it so that real life, real birth and real motherhood can move through. We also weave the story of how our paths crossed – the invisible soul-network that connected us across countries. And the women scattered across the globe that are holding the same knowing - being the bridges between the system and the sovereign, the dead grid and the living earth. This conversation is for the woman who feels the deadness of the old systems, who has held the line with family, medicine, or culture - and who knows somewhere deep in her bones, that she is here to write her own program, birth her own way, remember herself – wildly, wholly, and free.'Woman Be Wild; The Redprint of the Feminine' can be pre-ordered at @8rittneymichelle or at @womanbewild

As this podcast goes to air, we are in a black moon energy. Yes, this is a rare occurrence, and I was kind of taking a little break to kinda catch up with myself from all my summer travels, but this black moon is pretty rare. It's deep. It goes into our Soul, and it allows us to reflect on all that's been going on and to set new intentions. As we began to transition into a new season, it's about looking into the shadow parts of us, and so that could be many things for many people. Now, for myself, I've been traveling, I've been out in California preparing for a new transition. I went back and visited my college right into that dorm room where it all started, and so all this energy for me is coming up and how it relates to my path, and that deeper part of me, and even my ancestral energy, my family energy, all of it is surfacing. I know I had a couple of sleepless nights during the Dark Moon energy helping me to kind of put it all into perspective. I know one morning I woke up like, what is wrong? What's going on? And I did have a few conversations that helped me to pull it out and tears were flowing, but. That's how we heal. Doesn't mean we have to go in and relive every single detail of our past, but we can reflect on it, bring it to the surface, and for me, shine light with reiki on it to help me ease in to a greater part of me when we move through any kind of transition. There's lots of energy that comes forward, lots that we wanna leave behind, and even a space of newness that we wanna be able to open up to. And so this new moon coming in, it's an additional new moon during the season. That's why it's called a Black Moon. Doesn't happen all that often. And so it allows us a powerful opportunity to set energy for new beginnings, particularly related to our own health, our daily routines. Virgos got a little bit of that earth element, so stability and practicality help us to ground. It's also a really good time to go through your stuff and clean up that clutter. When we declutter our physical space, it opens up so much in our mental space as well. So, where are you right now on your path? What did the summer bring up? Generally, Summer is all about growing, expanding, having patience, fun, and getting outside. I as I always talk about the Wild Woman energy. I know for myself, I've brought a lot of that forward because I am about to make a big transition and allowing some of that wildness, that raw energy, the innocence to come forward. Just like standing in that dorm room thinking, wow, 50 years really. I know some of that innocence wasn't there anymore, but I can't let that jade me for new opportunities coming in. But instead, I can harness the energy, gather it up, feel the gratitude for all my many lessons, and then bring that forward in a different kind of way, in a different kind of innocence. And that's exactly where we are in the cosmic forces as well. We're moving from some major shifts in consciousness, and so this is what it's about, and maybe it makes you feel a little raw and uncertain about yourself. That's okay. Embrace that rawness. The more that you can allow that to come forward, get comfortable in the uncomfortable, the more you'll notice your growth coming forward. So maybe you're thinking, well, I don't know if I grew at all, but I don't know. Check in with yourself. Did your hair grow? You know, did you get a little tan from being outside? Did you look at things from a different perspective? That's growth. Maybe it's bigger changes. Maybe you did change your job, maybe you upped your position. Something like that. It could be that as well. So today, I'm going to offer a meditation. 'cause that's, like I said, I was gonna take a pause because I'm sitting here making jewelry and creating and bringing all that summer energy forward. I just thought like it's too important not to offer a meditation. If you miss the Black Moon episode before this, I do talk all about the Black Mtoon and what you can learn from it. Go back and check it out. We drew some cards. I did a Black Moon spread. This meditation will help you integrate this energy and set some intentions for your path.  Spend some time today in nature if you can, grounding with the Virgo energy. Let this serve as a ritual for you to honor these intentions. So as we go to close, a huge shout out to Ritual + Shelter for sponsoring this podcast, to Jennifer Dorman and all the amazing work that she's doing and offering in her shop, and for all of her great Tarot readers that helped to create this Tarot series on the show. I am  so grateful. And yes, PS I have some new jewelry over at Ritual and Shelter now, going along with my new show called Soul Messages, check it out. And, to all of you for listening each week, I am so grateful! Know that I do have some openings, as we move into the new season, for my private mentoring. With my private mentoring, I'm teaching you, I'm holding space for you. I'm transferring that energy to you, to work deeply and closely with your Soul's journe. It will help you to create a spiritual practice, giving you the tools and techniques to go deep within. And as I say, caution, this will change your life... in a good way. Schedule a Spiritual Upgrade Call with me and let's talk about your path and the number one thing you can do right now to activate the energy of yourSoul. I'll be back in a couple of weeks with some great spiritual authors and more conversations. Be sure to share this podcast with anybody you know that could use a little bit of help along their path. And leave me a review on iTunes. It does help the podcast to be found. Thanks again for listening. To your spirit. Terri

In this episode, I'm joined by the luminous Lisa Marie Rankin for a conversation that bridges fantasy and real-life reclamation. We explore her viral post, 5 Ways to Become a Romantasy Heroine IRL, and dive into the archetypes these fictional women embody — from the Warrior and Lover to the Sage, Dark Queen, and High Lady. Through the lens of Jungian psychology, sensuality, and sovereignty, Lisa invites us to see these characters not just as entertainment, but as invitations to become the heroine of our own stories. But we don't stop there. This episode also takes us deep into the untamed terrain of the Wild Woman archetype, inspired by Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. We unpack why so many women feel a visceral pull toward this primal, intuitive energy — and how to begin embodying it in real, everyday ways. From learning to honor your desires to releasing the “good girl” conditioning that keeps us small, this part of the conversation is all about remembering the truth of who we are beneath the roles we've been taught to play.Whether you're obsessed with ACOTAR, deep into your own healing, or simply craving a reminder that you are magic — this episode is a potent mix of myth, embodiment, and modern-day transformation. Grab your sword, your journal, and maybe a mug of something warm. Welcome back to the House of Her Podcast. In this episode today I get real about my personal journey of reconnecting with the wild woman archetype—the part of us that's raw, instinctive, untamable, and deeply wise. I talk about what it truly means to embrace this inner wildness, sharing the challenges, heartbreaks, and awakenings I have faced over the past two years as I learned to listen to my truth, set boundaries, and honor my gut instincts—no matter how uncomfortable that made others or myself. This episode is an honest, vulnerable exploration of how we so often lose touch with our truest selves in the midst of performing, people-pleasing, and living up to expectations, and what it looks like to finally come home to who we really are. If you're feeling restless, stuck, or like there's more to you than meets the eye, this raw conversation is for you. Get ready to be inspired to trust yourself, tell your truth, and let your wild woman rise.Key Takeaways:The contrast between societal conditioning vs. wild woman instinctsThe wild woman “burns down what is false,” leaving only what is realLetting go of responsibility for others and having comfort with your choicesTime Stamps:01:50 - Embracing the Wild Woman Journey06:30 - Unexpected Costs of Self-Discovery10:09 - Trusting Your Inner Voice12:50 - "Uncontainable Self-Expression"14:53 - Embrace Your Wild AuthenticityEpisode Quotes"She's the creative force, the boundary setter, the truth teller. This week, we're sharing a special episode with Soul Synarchy sisters, Lori Lisai, Maggie Thomas, and Dr. Johanneke Kodde, exploring what it means to embrace the wild within – especially during major life transitions like perimenopause, motherhood, or any moment where we're called to shed layers and come home to ourselves. We break down how the Wild Woman energy can show up through each energy type and offer personal stories, medicine, and tools to support you in living your design—even when it's messy, emotional, or rebellious. This conversation was such a beautiful blend of wisdom, laughter, honesty, and soul, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.   Key Takeaways: How the Wild Woman archetype serves as a portal to deeper self-expression and liberation. Why rest is a radical act of rebellion, especially for Projectors and Reflectors. The power of saying “no” as a sacred boundary for Generators and Manifesting Generators. Navigating emotional authority and learning to trust the clarity that unfolds over time. How to release shame around rest, self-expression, and breaking societal expectations. Using your Human Design to move with your natural rhythms instead of forcing alignment.   Soul Synarchy: Midlife by Design Retreat Get $500 off the retreat with code: DAYLUNA500 Re-shared episode by Midlife By Design Podcast soulsynarchy.com   DayLuna: EXPLORE LUNYA Use code: DAYLUNA for 15% off   Human Design Chart Software: BodygraphChart.com Use code: DAYLUNA for 50% off your first 12 months!   Book a Reading With Us Here!
