Let’s walk towards Body-Peace and Body-Liberation!About the Guest:Nina Manolson M.A. is a Body-Peace® coach. Richard Lang – Advisory Voting and an “Eco-System for Civic Engagement”Restoring the Missing Piece in Government By the People – THE PEOPLE! Aired Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM PST / 5:00 PM ESTInterview with Tech CEO and Author Richard Lang“Even more than a new President, we need a new PRECEDENT – government of, by and for the people where the government does OUR bidding, not the bidding of the highest bidder.” — Swami BeyondanandaAs we are caught in the swirl of the most toxic and dangerous election season in our lifetimes, citizens from across the political spectrum are asking two questions: How did it get this way? And, how do we restore the missing piece in government of, by and for the people – THE PEOPLE?If you’ve had the sense that the will of the ordinary citizen in America has little or no impact on what legislation actually gets passed — you’re right. A study conducted by Princeton University in 2014 concluded: “The preferences of the average American appear to have only a miniscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.Could this be why fewer Americans exercise their right to vote than any other “democratic” country in the world? Might be we need to rename our system “Futilism” because of the futility of voting for a candidate, who does the bidding of the highest bidder instead of doing your bidding? Our guest this week, Richard Lang, has come up with a “meta-strategy” for bringing the collective (and amplified) voice of we the people to the forefront of politics. The idea starts with an observation: For the first time in known human history, it is now possible to convene an unlimited number of citizens, in one place, at one time, to cast collective, non-binding, advisory votes on any issue of collective concern or importance.Think of it as Freedom of Assembly 3.0.Richard, a software developer who launched a highly successful company, Burst.com in the 1990s, launched another company, Democrasoft to help “evolve democracy and empower individuals” in the 21st century. The result is his Virtual Country book, and the new platform for Advisory Voting.Writes Richard, “We are talking about a new national institution for civic engagement, focused on issues instead of political parties and blind ideology — a powerful new counter-balance to the corrupting influence of big money in politics.” Imagine … a space — nongovernmental, non-corporate, nonpartisan, independent of the mainstream media — where each citizen can have a voice and a verifiable vote, and these votes can be tabulated to indicate not just how citizens feel about certain issues, but how strongly they feel. What if ten million or twenty million or fifty million American voters declared, “We want this”? While that vote would have no legal standing, simply recognizing the overwhelming support for a certain policy would provide pressure on legislators to adhere to the people’s will. Or face opposition at the polls. And … what if we used technology wisely and consciously not to shape public opinion but to galvanize public will? What if we took advantage of that handy hand-held device that even homeless people own to bring people together in an entire eco-system for civic engagement that will evolve democracy into the 21st century? If you’re ready to create “political climate change”, please join us this Tuesday, September 29th, 2-3 pm PT / 5-6 pm ET.To find out more about Richard Lang and Advisory Voting, please go here: http://www.virtualcountry.us/Support Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In the “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! Ellen Brown – Banks For People Is NOT An Oxymoron!Aired Tuesday, 23 July 2019, 5:00 PM EST / 2:00 PM PSTShifting Financial Power From Wall Street to Main StreetInterview with Ellen Brown, Author of “Banking On the People: Democratizing Money In the Digital Age”“I don’t know about you, but I am nostalgic for the good old days, when PEOPLE robbed BANKS.” — Swami BeyondanandaEconomics, and particularly the banking industry and monetary policy seems to be a mysterious black box to most people – our guest this week, Ellen Brown, characterizes it as a “sausage factory.” She is obviously referring to the quote attributed to Otto von Bismarck: “Laws are like sausages. You should never see them made.”In other words, if we actually understood how and why banks do what they do, and how monetary policy is made – we’d never “swallow it”. Ellen Brown, author of the classic “Web of Debt,” a follow up book, “The Public Bank Solution”, and her latest in the trilogy, “Banking On the People: Democratizing Money In the Digital Age”, sprays the issue with “demystifier” and offers thoughtful, breakthrough solutions that will shift financial power and wellbeing from Wall Street to Main Street. When I traveled to Washington, D.C. a week or two after the 2008 election, there was literally dancing in the streets. The mood felt like the liberation of Paris or the fall of the Berlin Wall. But a lad and a lack. For many complex reasons, Obama bailed out Wall Street but not Main Street, and in the past decade we’ve come to recognize that the financial institutions that were “too big to fail” were not too big to fail the American people. As a result, the American middle class seems to have gone the way of the typewriter and slide rule, as the gap between rich and poor actually grew during the Obama administration. Bank loans for new businesses have been replaced with credit card debt that has further impoverished local enterprise, while the mega-banks continue to make mega-profits.This week’s guest Ellen Brown is the founder of the Public Banking Institute and the author of a dozen books and hundreds of articles. She developed her research skills as an attorney practicing civil litigation in Los Angeles. In the best-selling “Web of Debt”, she turned those skills to an analysis of the Federal Reserve and “the money trust,” showing how this private cartel has usurped the power to create money from the people themselves and how we the people can get it back. She developed an interest in the developing world and its problems while living abroad for eleven years in Kenya, Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua. She returned to practicing law when she was asked to join the legal team of a popular Tijuana healer with an innovative cancer therapy, who was targeted by the chemotherapy industry in the 1990s. That experience produced her book “Forbidden Medicine”, which traces the suppression of natural health treatments to the same corrupting influences that have captured the money system. She also co-authored the bestselling “Nature’s Pharmacy”, which has sold 285,000 copies.Today most of our money is created, not by governments, but by banks when they make loans. “Banking On the People” takes the reader step by step through the sausage factory of modern money creation, explores improvements made possible by advances in digital technology, and proposes upgrades that could transform our outmoded nineteenth century system into one that is democratic, sustainable, and serves the needs of the twenty-first century. If you’d like a simple understanding of a complex financial “shituation” along with outside-the-box and inside-the-box functional solutions, please tune in this Tuesday, July 23rd at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET. http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/To find out more about Ellen Brown and her work, please go to: https://ellenbrown.com/One more thing… How YOU and WE Can Make a DifferenceHave you noticed that regardless of which of the two political parties you vote for, neither of them seem to be willing to confront Monsanto and agribusiness? Most Of What You Believe About Poverty Is Wrong with Mauricio Miller!Aired Tuesday, 19 February 2019, 5:00 PM ESTAn Interview with Mauricio Miller, Founder of The Alternative Project“The war on poverty? It’s over. The poor people have surrendered.” — Swami BeyondanandaAt a time when the gap between rich and poor is the widest in ninety years, we need more funding for poverty programs, right?Well … maybe and maybe not. This week’s guest, Mauricio Miller, author of The Alternative, points out that poverty programs over the past 50 years haven’t really moved the dial. What if the poverty programs themselves kept the conditions in place? What if the real beneficiaries have been those who have SERVED the underserved community? What if these programs promote dependency and not self-reliance?What if the current way of giving help has left people helpless, and actually created a “industry” that makes sure the problem stays in place, largely unsolved? Here is a quote from The Alternative that may shed some light on the “shadow” of anti-poverty programs:In a letter to pastors, while in the Birmingham jail, Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote:“I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizens Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate.” Noting their paternalism, he continued, “Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill.”Mauricio’s understanding comes from his own upbringing in a single-parent family. His mother — proud, resourceful, independent and smart — found herself up against stereotyped images of who people thought she was, and a social welfare system that discouraged all of those things! After years of watching that same system disempower and fail to serve the next generation, he presented California’s then-Governor Jerry Brown with a radical plan to encourage poor communities to cultivate their own resources and find their own solutions. He founded the Family Independence Initiative (FII) in 2001, to capture the stories and data which demonstrate that low-income families, when working together, have the capacity to help themselves and help one another towards sustained upward mobility. Now working independently on the “Alternative Project”, Mauricio seeks to utilize those proof points to challenge the negative stereotype that low income families are “takers” from society. The project advocates for investing directly in family and group self-determined efforts, increasing mobility and their contributions to society. In recognition of his unconventional approach to generating economic mobility among low-income families, Mauricio was awarded a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship in 2012. He was appointed by President Obama to the White House Council for Community Solutions, is an Ashoka Fellow, a Prime Mover Fellow and a Purpose Prize winner among other awards. He was honored with an invitation to President Clinton’s 1999 State of the Union address, has served on bank and philanthropic boards and started small businesses. He is the author of “The Alternative: Most of what you believe about poverty is wrong” among other publications. If you’ve wondered why the issue of “poverty” has been so intractable this past half-century, you’ll definitely want to catch this lively discussion. Tune in this Tuesday, February 19th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/You can listen right here: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Maurico Miller and The Alternative please go here: https://www.thealternativebook.org/One more thing… How YOU and WE Can Make a DifferenceHave you noticed that regardless of which of the two political parties you vote for, neither of them seem to be willing to confront Monsanto and agribusiness? Aired Tuesday, 12 February 2019, 5:00 PM ESTThe “Green Economy” In ActionAn Interview Purium Co-Founder Dave Sandoval“We don’t need to save the planet, just spend it more wisely.” — Swami BeyondanandaThere’s been a lot of buzz recently about “green jobs” and the Green New Deal as a way of restoring the ecology and renewing the economy. However, the overall plan seems to gloss over the inconvenient truth that we must restore the soil and microbiome, and “overgrow” chemical farming and glyphosates (Round-Up) that depletes our soil. Our guest this week on Wiki Politiki is Dave Sandoval, co-founder of Purium, provider of plant-based nutritional products since 1994, and a successful “green” entrepreneur who DOES care about the soil. As Swami has said, “Going green can get us out of the red and keep us in the pink.”Dave Sandoval, has made it his life’s mission to change the world for the better. From nutrition and the environment to domestic violence and poverty, Dave has advocated on behalf of many causes. He’s invited people into his home to personally help them get healthy, lose weight or achieve their goals. And, through his mentorship program, he has inspired all kinds of people, including celebrities, to get out into the world and make a difference. Dave founded Purium in post-riot Long Beach with Gandhi’s philosophy, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”That’s when he started making 100% pure products out of his home in 1994, and he now has 100 pharmacists and almost 30,000 salespeople around the world working for his company Purium Health Products, which hit $47 million in revenue last year and is expecting to hit $75 million in revenue this year — a 276% growth in just three years. If you’re curious how your buying choices can enrich the soil as well as your own microbiome, and wondering how and what you eat impact your wellbeing, please tune in for this discussion with a leading edge business person with top-line products and a triple bottom line, tune in this Tuesday, February 12th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET – http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/You can listen right here: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Dave and Purium, please go here: http://www.purehealthnetwork.com/page3/page3.htmlOne more thing… How YOU and WE Can Make a DifferenceHave you noticed that regardless of which of the two political parties you vote for, neither of them seem to be willing to confront Monsanto and agribusiness? Aired Tuesday, 5 February 2019, 5:00 PM ESTThe Yellow Vests vs. Vested Interests – A People’s UpwisingAn Interview with American Ex-Pat and Marxist-Humanist Scholar Richard Greeman“We have a deeply-divided body politic. Half the people believe our system is broken, the other half believe it is fixed.” — Swami BeyondanandaWe are living in what Tom Paine would have called “soul-trying” times. While progressives are still baffled as to how Donald Trump became President and continue to be pulled into the very “resistance” that energizes Trumpism, a growing number of Americans are awakening to the political “shell” game. Regardless of which party wins, when it comes to the fundamental focus and rules of governance, those who already have too much money, power and influence seem to have the final say.Consider that under Obama (and Hillary as Secretary of State) we had the same neocon / neoliberal foreign policy as under Bush and Cheney. And even the Huffington Post has had to admit that income inequality became worse under Obama than it was under George W. Bush. The narrative playing on the mainstream is still about the growing list of “hopefuls” for the 2020 Presidential campaign, while the condition of the body politic remains “hopeless” unless we do a mass detox off of “hopium” and “deniatol.” What is needed is a true “2020 vision” to help we the people overgrow our corrupt and dysfunctional system, from the grassroots up instead of the top down.Fortunately, there is true hope on the horizon and it comes from the folks who helped us with the first American Revolution — France. You’ve probably been hearing about the Yellow Vest movement, which has been presented as one of those nationalistic, xenophobic “right wing” movements that seem to be sweeping Europe and the rest of the world. Not so fast, says my Wiki guest this week, Richard Greeman, an American expatriate living in France and a bona fide leftist. What he has observed first-hand is a movement of ordinary people tired of being told, “Let them eat cake” by a Marie Antoinette sound-alike Emmanuel Macron, who is an investment banker disguised as a “socialist.” As Greeman tells us in the interview, this is a from-the-ground-up movement that has rejected any affiliation with any party, right and left. This is the true “peoples upwising.”Richard Greeman is a self-described “Marxist-humanist, libertarian socialist and anarchist revolutionary”. He calls himself a red diaper grandbaby because his maternal grandfather was an admirer and follower of socialist presidential candidate Eugene V. Debs. When labeled a communist by a classmate as a child, Richard replied, “I’m a commonist — I am for the common people”. A graduate of Yale, Richard was one of the founders of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). After the fall of the Soviet Union, he traveled to Russia where he deepened his studies of Victor Serge, a Marxist anarchist internationalist novelist. In 1997, he helped establish the Victor Serge Public Library in Moscow and in 1998 co-founded the Praxis Research and Education Center in Moscow. Long story short, he brings a lifetime of awareness and perspective to a vexing movement … the Yellow Vest uprising in France … and the “vested interests” that are looking to dis-inform and misinform us on that topic. The mainstream press has painted it as a right wing movement, and indeed the press has cherry-picked right wing extremists to interview to “represent” the movement. Tune in this Tuesday, and get a more balanced picture of what is happening in France — and what COULD happen hear if progressives and populists ever got together for a generative conversation. If you’re feeling that currently the American body politic is stuck inside an unworkable system called “Futilism,” please catch this broadcast to discover how an angry uprising has led to an “upwising” where French citizens are working together for a change, to challenge a toxic and unworkable system that makes the elites richer and richer and the rest of us … not so much.Tune in this Tuesday, February 5th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET: http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/You can listen right here: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Richard, please go here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_GreemanOne more thing… How YOU and WE Can Make a DifferenceHave you noticed that regardless of which of the two political parties you vote for, neither of them seem to be willing to confront Monsanto and agribusiness? Aired Tuesday, 29 January 2019, 5:00 PM ESTIt’s Time For Right and Left to Come Front and Center to UNRIG the SystemAn Interview with Represent.Us National Organizing Manager James Jameson“It seems that government of, by and for the people is missing a key component — the PEOPLE.” — Swami BeyondanandaI’ve said it before, and it is worth repeating. In these times of intense political polarization, we have a DEEPLY UNITED body politic. More than 90% of us agree — we aren’t being represented … the two-party system is rigged … we need to make sure that the “free speech” of unbridled campaign spending doesn’t drown out the free speech that points us beyond the status quo.Consider the 2014 study by Princeton University Professor Martin Gilens and Northwestern University Professor Benjamin Page that concluded that the USA is for all intents and purposes an “oligarchy” because the views of the general public have very little sway over what legislation does or doesn’t get passed — particularly when the public will is in conflict with the special interests who “own” the politicians. Consider this mind-blowing statistic: On average, a US Senator must raise $14,000 a month for six years to pay for her or his re-election campaign. That’s some $30.6 million! Do the math … do the aftermath!Meanwhile, according to CBS News some $6.8 billion was spent on the 2016 Presidential election, while just 31% of the people thought the election process “was working as well as it could.”If we consider that $6.8 billion is larger than the economies of Argentina and Poland, that’s a lot of money to spend on a campaign that leaves 70% of us unsatisfied!Fortunately, my guest today James Jameson, the National Organizing Director of Represent.Us, is here with some good news for a change — anti-corruption and election reform activists from across the political spectrum are uniting to “unrig the system” — and are planning their second annual Unrig the System Summit in Nashville at the end of March.James Jameson is an experienced political activist, who has worked on several successful campaigns in New England. Starting off with fundraising for the 2012 Marriage Equality campaign in Maine, James has led canvas efforts in three states and field efforts in two. During the 2016 election cycle, James was the New Hampshire Out-of-State Director for Bernie Sanders before joining his National Advance Team, traveling to 27 states, and building rallies of thousands of people. Since first getting into political campaigning, James has been passionate about electoral reform, and was involved with Maine’s Ranked Choice Voting victory.Represent.us has as its key platform piece the American Anti-Corruption Act, whose intention it is to:* Stop political bribery by making it illegal for lobbyists to lobby a politician and donate to their campaign. You can lobby, or you can donate, but you can’t do both. * End secret money so Americans know who is buying political power. * Fix our broken elections so the people, not the political establishment, are the ones in control. If you’re tired of the “dogma-eat-dogma” battle of the two political sides, you will find this conversation quite refreshing, as James discusses the American Anti- Corruption Act, and the dozens and dozens of successful state and local campaigns to end gerrymandering, install “ranked-choice voting” and other voting reforms, and establish public financing of elections. Check out the “explainer videos” on the Represent.us site below … and join the campaign and “upwising” if you can!Tune in this Tuesday, January 29th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET: http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Represent.us, please go here: https://represent.us/And to find out about the Unrig the System Summit, go here: https://unrigsummit.com/One more thing… How YOU and WE Can Make a DifferenceHave you noticed that regardless of which of the two political parties you vote for, neither of them seem to be willing to confront Monsanto and agribusiness? Aired Tuesday, 22 January 2019, 5:00 PM ESTEnlightened Capitalism – It’s NOT An OxymoronAn Interview with B Corporation Pioneer John Montgomery“It’s time for the Golden Rule to overrule the rule of gold.”– Swami BeyondanandaOur show today is about Enlightened Capitalism and NO that is not an oxymoron, at least not according to today’s guest. At the same time we have to acknowledge that UNENLIGHTENED CAPITALISM has been allowed to run rampant, and people are starting to notice, particularly young people.Last October, an astounding public opinion poll came out indicating that one third of Millennials identified as socialists.Might this be seen as a sign that capitalism as it has been practiced has failed us? Thanks to a meme cultivated by economist Milton Friedman over 40 years ago, the ONLY purpose of a corporation is to make profit for its shareholders, and since the Citizens United Supreme Court decision nine years ago, it seems that corporations have taken upon themselves the right to extract and exploit in perpetuity, and send the cleaning bill to future generations.More and more awakening individuals are recognizing that this form of extractor capitalism — what Naomi Klein calls “disaster capitalism” — is not only obsolete but obsolethal. This old form of capitalism is doomed, and the question is can it evolve? Or will it die, possibly taking Western Civilization with it?Our guest today John Montgomery is a champion of a new form of enlightened capitalism called the B Corporation, B standing for benefit … as in benefitting the world at large and not just the shareholders “at small.”An attorney in practice for 35 years, John founded a successful Silicon Valley law firm, now Montgomery & Hansen, LLP, in 2003 and was previously a partner or attorney at prominent Bay Area law firms. In recent years, he’s been working with socially and environmentally oriented entrepreneurs to design new forms of governance to add conscience and consciousness above and beyond just profit. He was the co-chair of the legal working group behind California’s benefit corporation legislation, which became law in 2012, and was a California Bar Association Magazine lawyer of the year and B Lab MVP and Champion awards winner for this work.He has since become a leading authority on the benefit corporation. He is the President-Elect of the Benefit Company Bar Association, and serves on the advisory boards of B Lab Europe, the Purpose of the Corporation project and several benefit corporations. John’s work as an international advocate for the benefit corporation and the emergent impact economy inspired him to incorporate Lex Ultima in 2017.As John will tell you, “Lex Ultima” refers to what he considers the ultimate law of the Universe — universal love. Indeed, his experience tells him that companies that “lead from the heart” are more successful in every way — more profitable, more efficient, and have happier employees who stay with the company longer. Can more companies be inspired to do business “for the benefit of all”?Tune in this Tuesday, January 22nd at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/ for a truly encouraging take on how the power of love can counterbalance the power of money.Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about John Montgomery and his work please go here: https://www.lexultima.com/people-1/One more thing… How YOU and WE Can Make a DifferenceHave you noticed that regardless of which of the two political parties you vote for, neither of them seem to be willing to confront Monsanto and agribusiness? Aired Tuesday, 15 January 2019, 5:00 PM ESTFrom Monsanto to “Nonsanto” – Why Avoiding GMOs Improves Your HealthAn Interview with Author, Researcher and GMO Expert Jeffrey Smith“Weed killer is a chemical substance that kills living things, some of which are weeds.” — Swami BeyondanandaWhen Bruce Lipton and I published Spontaneous Evolution nearly ten years ago, in a chapter on our current economic / ecological / political dysfunction, we had a section called “Moneychangers In the Temple — Monsanto Clause Is Coming to Town”, where we talked about the lengths Monsanto (now part of Bayer — those wonderful folks who brought us Auschwitz) has gone to “own” life forms.Short-form, they have developed genetically-modified seeds they call “Round Up ready” because they and they alone can resist the toxic herbicide in Round Up, glyphosate. The idea is to poison the soil and all non-Monsanto plants, and then sell the “remedy” so that eventually Monsanto will own the keys to life.Despite convincing evidence glyphosate is a carcinogen, thanks to the cozy relationship between the agrichemical industry and the agencies set up to regulate it — and complicity of the mainstream press — authorities continue to say with a straight-face that glyphosate is “safe.”Our guest this week, Jeffrey Smith, literally “wrote the book” on GMOs.The leading consumer advocate promoting healthier non-GMO choices, Jeffrey Smith was named the 2017 “Person of the Year” by Masters of Health Magazine. For more than two decades, his research has exposed how biotech companies mislead policy makers and the public, and put the health of society and environment at risk.Mr. Smith’s feature-length documentary Genetic Roulette — The Gamble of Our Lives was awarded the 2012 Movie of the Year (Solari Report) and the Transformational Film of the Year (Aware Guide). Seen by millions world-wide, the film links genetically engineered food to toxic and allergic reactions, infertility, digestive disorders, and numerous other problems that have been on the rise in the US population since genetically modified organisms (GMOs) were introduced. His books include: Seeds of Deception, the world’s bestseller on GMOs; and Genetic Roulette: The Documented Health Risks of Genetically Engineered Foods. They expertly demonstrate why the safety assessments by the FDA and regulators worldwide are based on outdated science and false assumptions, and why genetically engineered foods must urgently become our top food safety priority.Mr. Smith has lectured in 45 countries, counseled leaders from every continent, and has been quoted by thousands of news outlets including: The New York Times, Washington Post, The Times (London), Associated Press, Reuters, LA Times, and Time Magazine. He regularly appears on influential radio and television programs, including the BBC, NPR, Fox News, Democracy Now, The Doctors, and the Dr. Oz Show.He is the founding executive director of The Institute for Responsible Technology (IRT), a leading source of GMO health risk information for consumers, policy makers, and healthcare professionals. IRT’s educational programs are driving the tipping point of consumer rejection against GMOs, which is already starting to push genetically engineered ingredients out of the market in the US.Our interview this week revolves around his soon-to-be-released documentary with Amy Hart, Secret Ingredients, which highlights how numerous individuals and families that healed from serious conditions after switching to an organic, non-GMO diet.If you’d like to learn how YOU can take charge of your own and your family’s health, tune in for this enlightening and encouraging conversation this Tuesday, January 15th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Jeffrey and his work please go here: https://responsibletechnology.org/Support Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In The “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! Aired Tuesday, 8 January 2019, 5:00 PM ESTUnity Earth Festival Focuses On Culture, Youth and Regeneration of the EarthAn Interview with Adam Collett, Project Manager of Unity Earth Lift Off“We are all one with the same One, each of us totally unique just like everybody else.” — Swami BeyondanandaIt’s fitting that in 2019, fifty years after Woodstock a new festival has emerged to bring together the “imaginal cells” of a new generation, at a time when humankind (without the “kindness”) sits atop the endangered — and endangering species list. And this time — unlike Woodstock — there is a worldwide movement, an “upwising” if you will, seeking to bring together awakening youth and indigenous people to bring unity out of diversity. Instead of focusing on the “identity” issues that tend to keep us separate, this festival focused on working together around the IDENTICAL ISSUES that unite us — clean air, clean water, clean food, and clean government. The actual event, Unity Earth Lift Off is being billed as a “multigenerational, intercultural, interactive concert in celebration of UN World Interfaith Harmony Week” and will be held on February 2, 2019 at the United Palace in New York City. How fitting that organizers have picked Ground Hog Day, which in our turbulent times we have renamed Man Hog Day… if we fail to see our own shadow, two more years of darkness.Seriously and humorously, our guest this week is Adam Collett, an Australian native who is the project manager for Unity Earth Lift Off, and who shares a compelling and much-needed vision to unite indigenous elders and the young people who will inherit this world to create a “movement of movements” to unify and mobilize those who are ready for a partnership (as opposed to a dominator) civilization.Adam is an event producer, cultural liaison and social impact designer from Byron Bay, Australia. Inspired by his mother’s stories from the 1969 Woodstock Festival, Adam has been on a lifelong pursuit to inspire change through transformative events and community initiatives that have the power to deliver tangible outcomes on a local and global scale. Aired Tuesday, 1 January 2019, 5:00 PM EST2019 – A Year of LuminosityThe Re-Evolution of Politics and EconomicsAn Interview with Visionary Success Strategist Jeanine Just“It’s time for ALL OF US to become interdependently wealthy.” — Swami BeyondanandaMany years ago, when I was a teacher in Washington, D.C. I had a wonderful colleague who loved channeling Mel Brooks’ 2000-year-old man, who for some reason spoke with a Yiddish accent. One day I ran into my friend, and knowing he was considering switching schools, I asked, “So what are you doing next year?”And he replied — with that exaggerated Yiddish accent — “Oh, they’re having another one?”So as we come to the end of another intense and challenging year where you can say both it was the best of times and worst of times… YES… we are having another one!Our New Year’s Day guest is my long-time friend and colleague Jeanine Just. She came on my radar when I watched an intriguing and inspiring movie, We The People: Re-Evolution of Politics and Economics, co-produced by Sharon Stone. I saw Jeanine was one of the featured luminaries, so I decided to reach out to her.Jeanine is a Visionary Success Strategist and describes herself as a practical futurist with common sense approaches to today’s complex issues. With over 35 years experience working with thousands of clients, the LA Times called her “a trailblazer—a catalyst for change.”Each year she creates her Luminosity Vision to help guide people through the New Year so they achieve maximum joy, success and service. Since this is a new year, we’ll be talking about this coming year — not so much predictions as preparations. She does have one “prediction”: “In 2019 billions of people will download a new integrated OS (operating system) to shift from “brain-power creation” to “heart-based co-creation.”We will also be talking about economics as a “state of consciousness” — the “WE-distribution of wealth and wellbeing, finding one’s “vocation of destiny”, evolving from domination to partnership, and why the law of supply and demand has it backward. The new view? Demand, and it will be supplied. The new economics — she uses the term “equanomics” — takes us beyond socialism and capitalism to a regenerative system, where all is reused, and every participating human “cell” is nourished. If this sounds utopian — consider the alternative. All you have to do is watch “the news.” If you’re ready for some new news, please join us this Tuesday, January 1st at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Jeanine and her work please go here: https://www.visionariesuniversity.org/Support Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In The “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! That’s because mainstream media makes it its business to insure that anything that points to the nefarious doings of the real deep state is “none of its business.” The misinformation, disinformation and missing information that pollute corporate news have created the perfect field for “real” fake news to flourish.Which is why this latest development might be a genuine breakthrough. It means a 23-member grand jury, vested with subpoena power and the authority to take sworn testimony, will hear the voluminous evidence of the World Trade Center’s demolition and will have the ability to conduct a thorough investigation that could result in indictments against suspected individuals — in other words, what the 9/11 Truth Movement has been working toward for 17 years. Our guest this week on Wiki Politiki, journalist and author Andrew Kreig (pronounced “Craig”) will discuss his own involvement with the Lawyers Committee, as well as his work through his own organization, the Justice Integrity Project.Visit Justice Integrity, and you will find are freshingly broad, transpartisan and bluntly truthful site that isn’t afraid to take on both the deep state and the Trumpist disinfo machine. Their mission is “to report misconduct, primarily in the justice and political systems, that harms individuals, communities and democratic values. The project is non-partisan and supported by advertising revenue and paid subscriptions.”Andrew Kreig’s background includes 14 years as a metro newspaper reporter, plus degrees from Yale Law School, the University of Chicago Law School, and Cornell. He has lectured on five continents and appeared on hundreds of broadcast interviews. Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World have listed him continuously since the mid-1990s. Aired Tuesday, 11 December 2018, 5:00 PM ESTThe Backbone Campaign Combines the Art of War and the Art of PlayAn Interview with Bill Moyer, Founder of the Backbone Campaign“We have one political party with not enough backbone and another with way too much front-bone.” — Swami BeyondanandaToday’s show is about activism — in a time of reactivism. With so much of the political discourse these days either “pro-Trump” or “anti-Trump” the one common denominator in either conversation is … Trump. As someone who feeds on media attention, he is paradoxically empowered by all the resistance and anti-Trump rhetoric.Which leads to the question … how DOES the body politic express itself when both electoral politics and the mainstream media seems so shut down to non-corporate views? How do we assert our political will in a way that gets noticed? And how do we influence our elected officials to follow when they are unable to lead? Our guest this week Bill Moyer, co-founder of the Backbone Campaign is a master of what he calls “artful activism”designed not just to help the Democratic Party “get some backbone”,but to empower citizens to act strategically and change the “politicalcalculus” — i.e., to change the game from reactive to proactive. When we get ourselves off of the battlefield our opponents have already “fixed” and on to a new playing field, breakthrough can occur.BILL MOYER is a fourth generation Washingtonian who lives with his wife and daughter in the woods of Vashon Island near Seattle. He co-founded the Backbone Campaign and has served as executive director since 2004. A leader in the theory and practice of artful activism, Backbone combines lessons of the performing arts with grand strategic principles from the Art of War to invigorate nonviolent social change movements. Bill and his Backbone colleagues have designed and produced hundreds of creative protests and trained thousands of change agents. They have helped transform mundane demonstrations into cultural happenings with innovative tactics like spotlights to project messages onto buildings, and helped introduce the world to kayaktivism during the sHellNo! campaign to stop Arctic drilling.Bill also directs the Solutionary Rail project to plot a path for the US to transform a broken and dangerous railroad business model into a catalyst for social and environmental solutions that can act as an integral component of a just transition to sustainable society. Bill is proud to provide this strategic tool to bring together unlikely allies in otherwise divisive times. Not only does the “backbone” represent steadfast courage, it also represents the nervous system that potentially unites the body politic to become “upstanding citizens.”If your curious as to how ordinary citizens can act locally — playfully and effectively — to create change at the national level, tune in this Tuesday, December 11th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/ to find out.Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/ To find out more about The Backbone Campaign, please go here. https://www.backbonecampaign.org/ Support Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In The “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/ Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! Aired Tuesday, 4 December 2018, 5:00 PM ESTThe Eisenhower Moment – Part IIAn Interview with Simon Anholt, Founder of “Good Country”“It’s time to evolve from children of God to adults of Good.” — Swami BeyondanandaNearly 60 years ago, U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower said, “I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.”I’ve been calling the times at hand “the Eisenhower moment” because we the people finally have the technological capability to communicate instantly and speak in one voice.Last week we spoke with Australian visionary activist Andrew Gaines about what he calls the Great Transition Initiative – a citizen led educational “movement of movements” to inspire mainstream commitment to transitioning to a life-affirming culture.A worthy intention, and a great beginning…And, the next question is, how will this intention be manifested, populated, and turned into a tangible movement for transformation? My guest this week, Simon Anholt, introduces a new worldwide platform called Good Country which has the ambitious intention of creating and populating the world’s next super-power — the awakening population of the world acting in one accord as one “virtual country”.Simon Anholt is an independent policy advisor based in the UK who has worked to help develop and implement strategies for enhanced economic, political and cultural engagement with many countries around the world. His TED talk on the “Good Country Index” has 5.5 million views, and as he will tell you has led to this exciting new platform. After receiving some 20,000 emails from around the world from people who identified with a “good” country — i.e., one who collaborates to bring goodness to the world — Simon and his colleague Madeline Hung set about to find out how many other people around the world felt the same way. After two years of research they determined about 10% of the world’s population — some 700 million people — shared this global view. While 10% might seem like a modest figure, a country with a population of 700 million would be the third most populous country in the world, behind China and India and ahead of the U.S.That’s when the idea emerged … why don’t we start a “virtual country”? As their website overview says: “We’re starting a new country. A country defined not by borders but by values. A country made up of hundreds of millions of people around the world, all motivated by a shared desire to make the world work better. A country with the power to bring about real change in the international community.”Can a new virtual country with millions of awakened citizens actually spark collaboration among nations? How is this potentially world-changing institution being created, and how can you become a part of it?If you’re curious, tune in this Tuesday, December 4th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET : http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/ to find out.Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about The Good Country, please go here. https://goodcountry.org/Support Wiki Politiki -- A Clear Voice In The "Bewilderness"If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, "put your money where your mouse is" ... Nearly 60 years ago, President Dwight D. Eisenhower said, “I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.”As more and more of us are coming to understand, “peace” means more than an absence of war — although that would be a terrific beginning. Peace means the end of domination, one over the other. It means fundamentally adopting and applying the Golden Rule. And more apparently than ever before, it means living in harmony with the natural world. As the crises — ecological, economic, political, social and spiritual — seem to all be arising at once, maybe we are at that moment where a critical mass of the heretofore uncritical masses can speak in one coherent voice and say, “We want THIS.”Certainly we have the means to communicate ideas and memes instantly across the globe, and nearly two thirds of the humans on the planet have a cell phone or personal device. That means that “humanity” can be mobilized around an idea or issue almost instantly…Would it make a difference?Perhaps it’s the only thing that will. Our guest this week, Andrew Gaines, an Australian visionary, activist and systems thinker has dedicated his life to bringing about such a “movement of movements.”He is a co-leader in the Great Transition Initiative – a citizen led educational movement to inspire mainstream commitment to transitioning to a life-affirming culture. Through a personal epiphany he became committed to the wellbeing of coming generations. Andrew recognizes that the long-term survival of humanity is in jeopardy, and he embraces the adage to change the system, change the thinking. As a Feldenkrais practitioner, psychotherapist and creativity trainer he is well-positioned to act on this adage. He sometimes says, “I help good brains work better.” His books include Kitchen Table Conversations, The Witness: Gateway to Self-Development, and Creative Conversations. He is trained in improvisational acting, Aikido, Tai Chi, and The Natural Step, a way of working out whether a business or a country is ecologically sustainable. He is a former naval officer with a degree in philosophy. One of the problems in addressing climate change — and other massive issues confronting our entire species — is that our tendency is to try to fix things around the edges, so that we can keep things “normal.” The problem is, that things are changing so rapidly that we cannot go backward to previous ideas of normal. We are being pulled forward into the unknown, like it or not. As Andrew points out, the climate crisis cannot be addressed, let alone resolved, by tweaking things around the edges. A systemic transformation is needed. So… how can that transformation come about — other than by utter collapse of the system as it is?How can the people of the world be mobilized, not just to rail in anger but to work together toward practical, breakthrough solutions? How do climate change educators break through the walls created by the two “drugs” of “hopium” (imagining things will just get better on their own) and “deniatol” (problem? what problem?) to mobilize our individual and collective creativity and focus? If you’re curious, tune in this Tuesday, November 27th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET : http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/ to find out.Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about The Great Transition Initiative, please go here: http://www.inspiringtransition.net/about-gtiSupport Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In The “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! Our joke at that time was that our President, Bill “I-did-not-have-sex-with-that-woman” Clinton was a practitioner of “sporadical honesty.”We have now collectively evolved (or devolved) to a place where our current president practices “radical dishonesty”, and where paradoxically his followers consider him trustworthy because he is “honest” about being a liar. Dr. Brad Blanton describes himself as “white trash with a Ph.D.” Armed with quick wit and an engaging Southern accent, he speaks with an unwavering honesty that is both disarming and challenging, a quality that has earned him admirers as well as detractors. His first book, Radical Honesty: How To Transform Your Life By Telling The Truth, became a nationwide best seller in 1996 and has been translated into twelve languages and published around the world. The revised edition was released by Sparrowhawk Publications in April, 2005.His second book, Practicing Radical Honesty: How to Complete the Past, Live in the Present and Build a Future with A Little Help From Your Friends, is about the relationship between personal transformation and social transformation. In 2002, consistent with that same theme, he published Honest to God: A Change of Heart that Can Change the World (with Neale Donald Walsch). Also in 2002, he published Radical Parenting: Seven Steps to a Functional Family in a Dysfunctional World, which is about child rearing, and Brad says it is the most radical book he has ever written.Brad has twice been an independent candidate for Congress from his rural home district in Virginia, running against Republican Eric Cantor, who later served as House Minority Whip.If you’re wondering how to discern deep truth in a time of shallow lies — both personally and politically — tune in thisTuesday, November 20th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/ to find out.Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Brad and Radical Honesty, please go here: https://www.radicalhonesty.com/start-here/Support Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In The “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! Aired Tuesday, 13 November 2018, 5:00 PM ESTThe Order of the Sacred Earth – A Truly NEW World Order to Help Us Overgrow the “Old World Odor”An Interview with Sacred Order Co-Founders Skylar Wilson and Jennifer Berit Listug“Earth — love it or leave it.” — Swami Beyondananda“I promise to be the best lover and defender of the Earth that I can be.”Can taking such a vow make a difference?Skylar Wilson and Jennifer Berit Listug, our guests on Wiki Politiki this week think so. They, along with Matthew Fox, the noted priest and father of Creation Spirituality, have founded a “spiritual order” for our times, the Order of the Sacred Earth.I am reminded of a famous Gandhi quote. When asked what he thought of Western Civilization, he replied, “I think it would be a very good idea.”While our civilization has excelled at science, technology, and the gleaning of material knowledge, we seem to be on the verge of flunking Wisdom 1.1. Ever since we put Descartes before the horse nearly four centuries ago, society has focused its attention on the material world as the be-all and end-all. And the “end-all” idea may be exactly where we are headed. Thanks to focus on the rational mind at the expense of the intuitive, and the patriarchal notion of man “dominating” nature, we have continued to act as if that’s true, at our peril. As Paul Ehrlich famously said, “Nature bats last,” and she has some heavy hitters coming up — fire, tornadoes, hurricanes and floods. At a time when precious little is considered sacred anymore, and when we humans have spiraled dangerously outside the web of life, the intention of the Order of the Sacred Earth is to unite spirit and matter in one movement. As they write:At this critical time in human and planetary history, the world does not need a new religion or even a reshuffling of our old religions. It does not need a new church either. What it needs is a new Order: a community and movement of people of varied belief systems (or non-belief systems) who share one sacred vow: to preserve Mother Earth and to become the best lovers (mystics) and defenders (warriors) they can be on behalf of Mother Earth. A post-denominational Order and a post-religious Order. Therefore, a Spiritual Order. And yet another quote, this one from Albert Einstein: “The field is the sole governing agency over the particle.” Most social change movements have been about moving the “particle” — working on the symptoms of issues rather than facing and confronting the “field” — of beliefs, misperceptions and institutions — that “move” the particles of our every day activity. If a spiritual order that holds Earth sacred seems like a “tall order”, it may be the one thing to cohere a movement of movements so that collectively we shift from “takers” to “givers”, from exploiters to stewards, from alienated individuals to loving community. Can a “spiritual order” help spark and empower a truly NEW world order?
