In Part 1, Matt discussed his perspective on education, the flaws in traditional education, the concept of real learning, and his mission to transform the educational system through his organization, Apogee Strong. Matt believes that true education is about developing sovereignty, freedom, and the ability to define your path in life. Everybody has something amazing to offer the world, and a lot of times, they've learned it through being a total moron and through pain.  They're still also struggling to get better somewhere.” “Be careful on both extremes. If you consume too much and don't put it out, you're like a sponge that's full of water. A sponge is designed to be wrung out so it can absorb again. But if you're always giving and never receiving, you're dry, hard, and kind of brittle.” “Don't get stuck in infobesity. Don't get stuck in just consuming and never acting on what you consume.” “Leaders don't care about the number of followers; they care about building more leaders.” “Good questions are always better than the answers. As soon as you assume you have the answer, you inherently stop growing in that arena.” “It's okay to take a lot away from a book, wrestle with concepts, and say, ‘I don't agree with this, but I do agree with that.' Growth comes from that wrestling.” “At the end of the day, all education ends up being self-education. So there's got to be a bit of self-awareness in there too.” BOOKS MENTIONED: Radical Honesty: How to Transform Your Life by Telling the Truth by Brad Blanton (https://a.co/d/6Dj8gni) The Alter Ego Effect: The Power of Secret Identities to Transform Your Life by Todd Herman (https://a.co/d/3Ugz1Z8) PODCASTS MENTIONED: The Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast (https://tinyurl.com/CraigGroeschelLeadershipPod) Read to Lead Podcast (https://tinyurl.com/ReadToLeadPodcast) USEFUL RESOURCES: https://apogeestrong.com/ https://www.apogeestrongfoundation.org/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/matt-beaudreau-071a5b99/ https://www.instagram.com/mattbeaudreau/ https://x.com/MattBeaudreau https://www.facebook.com/matt.beaudrea https://youtu.be/JPAXMNXy5UQ?si=1Mk62agvQHNOKLRm https://youtu.be/fv8tYbljc0s?si=ISC9MBP8EmCIlBwX  CONNECT WITH JOHN Website - https://iamjohnhulen.com Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/johnhulen     Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/johnhulen     Twitter - https://www.twitter.com/johnhulen     LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnhulen     YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLX_NchE8lisC4NL2GciIWA     EPISODE CREDITS Intro and Outro music provided by Jeff Scheetz - https://jeffscheetz.com/

Armin shares his experience with one of his initial teams, responsible for QA and user acceptance. The team lacked cross-functionality and faced uneven work distribution. Communication about improvements was scarce, leading to stagnant progress. Some stakeholders provided no feedback, and the team maintained a facade of contentment. Armin observed a reluctance to engage in conflict and recognized the team's collective unawareness of necessary improvements. Even if in one-on-one meetings, individuals were more candid, they did not raise the topics in a wider group. Armin advises addressing issues individually to gauge openness for discussion. The team's absence of external pressure hindered growth, reflecting the challenge of balancing harmony with performance. After spending over 35 years in the private practice of clinical psychology, Dr. Blanton became an expert in lying. He saw people lying to others, lying to him, but most importantly, lying to themselves. As a result, he created the philosophy of Radical Honesty. In short, Radical Honesty is the practice of telling people exactly as you feel and think, without holding back. Dr. Blanton believes that this level of authenticity, while initially jarring, will build relationships of truth and compassion in the end. Dr. Blanton is the author of several best-selling books on this topic, such as "Radical Honesty: How to Transform your Life by Telling the Truth" and "The Truthtellers: Stories of Success by Radically Honest People," among many others.

Stop letting yourself off the hook.   Too often, we fall victim to excuses, and these excuses become the way we do everything in our life. They become the habitual reasons we never reach our full potential, and yet most of us never realize we are the cause...or the solution.   Over the last few years, more and more people are jumping into the entrepreneurial life, but something is happening in the process—they're letting themselves off the hook. They're not showing up for themselves. They're getting wrapped up in their emotions and doing all the wrong things that are ultimately leading to the demise of their business.    So I decided to interview Alex Charfen, co-founder and CEO of a multi-million dollar business, to get to the root of why most people are struggling with entrepreneurship.   It ended up being quite an emotional podcast.   Alex may be a multi-millionaire now, but he has struggled throughout his life and has even experienced bankruptcy.   As a kid, he had a difficult time fitting in. He was made fun of, mocked, and constantly judged (by kids and adults alike). He was the weird kid with massive self-awareness, always getting in trouble and constantly switching between the gifted classes and the special education classes, never knowing where he belonged. He spent much of his childhood surrounded by powerful women who supported each other emotionally. As a result, he developed an incredibly influential level of empathy, which I deem his superpower.    He has used his superpower to go from bankrupt to being on the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing companies in the country three years in a row and won many other awards. Now, his mission is to help other entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses just like he did.   In this interview, he talks candidly about his struggles growing up and how he's now using these experiences to make millions of dollars helping people. And you might be surprised to learn how he's done it.   You will hear him talk about:    Why he's no longer unschooling his kids (I absolutely loved this) How his unique childhood experiences formed his massive level of empathy  How top-down pressure can destroy your team/business How entrepreneurs are failing and how they should be running their business How masculine and feminine energy can work synergistically to explode your business and make you millions What's missing in women-owned businesses that could be the one catalyst to their massive success Why we say businesses are becoming more powerful than governments You are going to really love hearing Alex share his heart and passion.  Love Kim xo Reference List:  Radical Honesty: How to Transform Your Life by Telling the Truth (by Brad Blanton) (https://www.amazon.com/Radical-Honesty-Transform-Telling-Truth/dp/0970693842) Alex Charfen's website - BOOK A CALL to see how Alex can help you level up in your business: (https://www.charfen.com/) Alex's podcast: (https://www.charfen.com/podcast/)  FREE BOOK: Your Entrepreneurial Personality Type (https://eptbook.com/ept) QUOTES USED:   “When your behavior matches your beliefs, you are integrated.”   “Consistency creates trust. This is not a kinder, gentler self-help book. Dr. Blanton, a psychotherapist and expert on stress management, explores the myths, superstitions and lies by which we all live. He shows us how stress comes not from the environment, but from the self-built jail of the mind. And what keeps you in our self-built jails is lying. Not telling your friends, lovers, spouses, or bosses about what you do, feel, or think keeps you locked in that mind jail. The way out is to get good at telling the truth, and Dr. Blanton provides the practical tools you can use to escape from that jail of the mind.

“There’s no place you can go to get a sex education. You can get a procreation education. You can get a contraception or abstinence education. Considered the “Dear Abby of Sex,” Susan’s fresh approach and original ideas have helped millions of people of all ages and across the gender spectrum transform sex into passion. Married to her husband Tim since 1993, Susan is an author, award-winning speaker, and serial entrepreneur who teaches passionate lovemaking techniques to her fans around the world. Susan’s straight-talking, fearless approach is rooted in her personal experience of watching her sex life wither while she and her husband pursued dynamic careers. When their relationship hit a crisis point, the couple made a fierce commitment to do whatever it took to keep their family together and revive the passion in their marriage. Today, she and her husband have the kind of dream relationship most people long-since stopped believing is even possible—until they discover Susan’s teachings. She comes on the show to dive into all things sexual vitality! Boy was this interview a doozy. We had a LOT of fun. I'll be honest, having conversations about sex sometimes can be very vulnerable. But the main question is why? Most likely because of historical shame and other emotions playing a role and because we don't often talk about sex! It's often seen as taboo! And specifically in the health world I believe there is not enough quality information and guidance on how to have a healthier and more fulfilled sex life. Is it ok to tell your wife that she does look fat in that dress? What exactly is the value in lying to her? What would your life be like if you stopped holding back what you thought or felt with your friends and family and expressed yourself completely? Do we all feel like everyone is weak and will crumble back into stardust if they know the truth? Just as Jack Nicholson brilliantly expressed in the movie “A Few Good Men”, are we all screaming to ourselves “You can’t handle the Truth!” Most of us grew up learning from our parents that a little white lie here and there is just part of polite society. No good reason to tell Grandma that her apple pie is the worst desert you have ever eaten in your life. She slaved over it all day to make it perfect. Instead we tell her, “Grandma this apple pie is even better than I remember. I experience all the pleasures of heaven with each and every bite. Can I please have another piece?” By the way….my Grandma’s apple pie was actually amazing and I wish I could have a piece right now. But you get the point! Is it the right thing to lie to our Grandma or should we tell her that her apple pie was terrible? Some say that radical honesty is the answer. Our guest today, Brad Blanton, Ph.D spent 35 years in the private practice of clinical psychology in Washington, D. C., where he became an expert on lying. He established Radical Honesty Enterprises. He’s famous for his book, Radical Honesty, which has been a nationwide best seller in the U.S. since 1995 and has been published in 14 languages around the world. He has published 7 other books since Radical Honesty came out in 1994. Dr. Blanton believes that the best way to reduce stress, make life work and heal the past is to tell the truth. Radical Honesty means simply to report out loud what you notice in the world, in your body and in your mind. Radical Honesty teaches you a process to get over anger and create real connection. Radical Honesty is a path that brings love, aliveness and forgiveness into your relationships. I think we all want that but we struggle to achieve it. Maybe it’s time to give Radical Honesty a try? Sit back and enjoy this very entertaining interview with Dr. Brad Blanton as he explains what Radical Honesty is all about.www.radicalhonesty.com

Aired Tuesday, 20 November 2018, 5:00 PM ESTRadical Honesty in a Time of Fake News and Real LiesAn Interview with Psychotherapist Brad Blanton, Author of Radical Honesty“The truth shall UPSET you free.” — Swami BeyondanandaI first met Brad Blanton nearly 25 years ago, when his controversial book Radical Honesty: How To Transform Your Life By Telling The Truth, was first published. Our joke at that time was that our President, Bill “I-did-not-have-sex-with-that-woman” Clinton was a practitioner of “sporadical honesty.”We have now collectively evolved (or devolved) to a place where our current president practices “radical dishonesty”, and where paradoxically his followers consider him trustworthy because he is “honest” about being a liar. Think about it. What other politician in recent memory has been celebrated for “telling it like it is” while so blatantly telling it like it isn’t?My guest this week, Brad Blanton will offer his “radically honest” perspective on the “shituation”, and — knowing Brad — you can expect a wild ride that will leave you both elevated but with “feet on the ground.”Brad Blanton, Ph.D is a psychotherapist, author, workshop leader, speaker, and the founder of Radical Honesty Enterprises. Dr. Brad Blanton describes himself as “white trash with a Ph.D.” Armed with quick wit and an engaging Southern accent, he speaks with an unwavering honesty that is both disarming and challenging, a quality that has earned him admirers as well as detractors. His first book, Radical Honesty: How To Transform Your Life By Telling The Truth, became a nationwide best seller in 1996 and has been translated into twelve languages and published around the world. The revised edition was released by Sparrowhawk Publications in April, 2005.His second book, Practicing Radical Honesty: How to Complete the Past, Live in the Present and Build a Future with A Little Help From Your Friends, is about the relationship between personal transformation and social transformation. In 2002, consistent with that same theme, he published Honest to God: A Change of Heart that Can Change the World (with Neale Donald Walsch). Also in 2002, he published Radical Parenting: Seven Steps to a Functional Family in a Dysfunctional World, which is about child rearing, and Brad says it is the most radical book he has ever written.Brad has twice been an independent candidate for Congress from his rural home district in Virginia, running against Republican Eric Cantor, who later served as House Minority Whip.If you’re wondering how to discern deep truth in a time of shallow lies — both personally and politically — tune in thisTuesday, November 20th at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET http://omtimes.com/iom/shows/wiki-politiki-radio-show/ to find out.Or, find us on the Wiki archives on Wednesday: http://wikipolitiki.com/archives/To find out more about Brad and Radical Honesty, please go here: https://www.radicalhonesty.com/start-here/Support Wiki Politiki — A Clear Voice In The “Bewilderness”If you LOVE what you hear, and appreciate the mission of Wiki Politiki, “put your money where your mouse is” … Join the “upwising” — join the conversation, and become a Wiki Politiki supporter: http://wikipolitiki.com/join-the-upwising/Make a contribution in any amount via PayPal (https://tinyurl.com/y8fe9dks)Go ahead, PATRONIZE me! Authenticity and honesty are concepts that have been iterated time and again in the show and from the guests as one of the key components of successful relationships and meaningful life.   This time around, we have the main proponent of radical honesty to speak about what he's been advocating and teaching for the last 25 years.   Brad Blanton is a psychotherapist, author, workshop leader, speaker, and the founder of Radical Honesty Enterprises. His team conducts more than a hundred workshops per year, plus coachings and meetup groups to share with the world how radical honesty can positively impact lives.   Brad joins me as this episode's guest as we talk about his bestselling book Radical Honesty -- a book that changed my life immensely. Some might think that radical honesty can result in judging and hurting people, but what Brad offers is a genuine and honest expression that allows you to transform your life and your relationships.   Brad unpacks the objectives as well as consequences of practicing radical honesty in the various aspects of our lives.  We also touched on a bit of politics too.   Some of the areas we covered in this episode include:   An overview of his work and business that grew into what it is today, and why he attributes the recent boost of his book sales to Donald Trump. (04:07) What radical honesty means, how it goes against society's conventions, and why ‘the fake it ‘til you make it' attitude of pretending and lying can be detrimental to our lives. (06:04) How to engage with people and live life practicing more honesty. (12:46) Radical honesty when it comes to job interviews and recruitment. (18:50) Why Brad recommends being honest at the risk of offending and hurting people, and the value of forgiveness. (23:59) Understanding our assumptions and perceptions of the world, the difference between the two concepts, and the conflicts that arise from these. (29:11) The importance of sticking around after you've been honest with someone. (32:50) The information that Brad suggests to disclose if someone cheats in a relationship and why the need for these details? (34:28) The faulty values of righteousness and moralism. (37:36) A proof of how radical honesty works even in the political arena. (43:42) Radical honesty in pick-up arts and dating. (45:40) The difference between brutal and genuine honesty, and tapping vulnerability and relationship intimacy. (53:09) The consequences of practicing radical honesty which can lead to better family or relationship dynamics. (59:27) Dealing with the phases of anger, how it leads to forgiveness, and the process of forgiveness. (1:03:04) A new workshop his team is working on that merges personal growth with politics. (1:09:29) Living life authentically is something that I promote so I want more people to learn about it.  If you want to discover more about Radical Honesty and how it can improve your life, get a free copy of Intro to Radical Honesty. If you're interested in their workshops and other services, you may reach Brad and his team at www.radicalhonesty.com, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Brad's books are all available on Amazon, including Radical Honesty and Practicing Radical Honesty. As for me, I'm still a bit on the fence when it comes to approaching women with radical honesty. I guess I'm going to have to see if it will be effective for me. Maybe I'll give you an update how it goes. 点击每期节目可以看到具体文稿内容I Think You're FatThis story is about something called Radical Honesty. It may change your life. (But honestly, we don't really care.)By A.J. JacobsHere's the truth about why I'm writing this article:I want to fulfill my contract with my boss. I want to avoid getting fired. I want all the attractive women I knew in high school and college to read it. I want them to be amazed and impressed and feel a vague regret over their decision not to have sex with me, and maybe if I get divorced or become a widower, I can have sex with them someday at a reunion. I want Hollywood to buy my article and turn it into a movie, even though they kind of already made the movie ten years ago with Jim Carrey.I want to get congratulatory e-mails and job offers that I can politely decline. Or accept if they're really good. Then get a generous counteroffer from my boss.To be totally honest, I was sorry I mentioned this idea to my boss about three seconds after I opened my mouth. Because I knew the article would be a pain in the ass to pull off. Dammit. I should have let my colleague Tom Chiarella write it. But I didn't want to seem lazy. What I mentioned to my boss was this: a movement called Radical Honesty. The movement was founded by a sixty-six-year-old Virginia-based psychotherapist named Brad Blanton. He says everybody would be happier if we just stopped lying. Tell the truth, all the time. This would be radical enough -- a world without fibs -- but Blanton goes further. He says we should toss out the filters between our brains and our mouths. If you think it, say it. Confess to your boss your secret plans to start your own company. If you're having fantasies about your wife's sister, Blanton says to tell your wife and tell her sister. It's the only path to authentic relationships. It's the only way to smash through modernity's soul-deadening alienation. Oversharing? No such thing.Yes. I know. One of the most idiotic ideas ever, right up there with Vanilla Coke and giving Phil Spector a gun permit. Deceit makes our world go round. Without lies, marriages would crumble, workers would be fired, egos would be shattered, governments would collapse.968重庆之声每周一至周五8点56分每天三分钟养成良好英语听说习惯
