Send us a textCosmic currents shift dramatically this April as we emerge from eclipse season into a month of planetary rebalancing. The celestial landscape unfolds in two distinct acts – first dominated by Piscean waters processing eclipse fallout, then ignited by fiery Aries and grounded by earthy Taurus as we step into fresh terrain.Early April continues the introspective mood while retrograde Venus makes significant connections with the North Node and Saturn in Pisces. These powerful alignments reveal karmic patterns in relationships and demand reassessment of where we're investing our emotional energy. Venus retrograde conjuncting the North Node (April 3rd) opens doorways to align with soul purpose, while its conjunction with Saturn (April 7th) forces us to establish boundaries in relationships that may feel obligatory or draining.Mercury stationing direct on April 7th marks a pivotal turning point when mental fog begins lifting, allowing greater clarity around insights received during retrograde. This clarity perfectly times with the Libra Full Moon on April 12th illuminating relationship dynamics and calling for balance between self-assertion and compromise. With Venus also stationing direct that day, relationships gain momentum after weeks of reevaluation. The month accelerates dramatically mid-April with Mars entering Leo (April 18th), unleashing passionate, confident energy after months in emotionally cautious Cancer. This fiery placement emboldens personal expression and could manifest as increased activism on collective levels. The Sun entering Taurus (April 19th) brings welcome grounding, inviting connection with the physical world and attention to material concerns.April concludes with the powerful Taurus New Moon (April 27th), perfect for setting intentions around financial stability and abundance. The Sabian symbol for this lunation – "a sleigh on land uncovered by snow" – emphasizes preparation and foresight, particularly regarding financial security in uncertain times. As Venus finally enters Aries (April 30th), our approach to relationships becomes more direct and passionate.Whether you're curious about collective trends or seeking personal guidance, tune in for detailed zodiac forecasts covering how these transits will impact your sign specifically. The year begins with intense energy due to Pluto's exact opposition to Mars and Rahu's influence from Pisces. This amplifies and drains Mars' energy, potentially triggering explosive events or burying issues deeper as retrograde Mars retraces its steps. In the first two days, the Moon joins Pluto, acting as a catalyst, whether outwardly or internally. Mars retrograde in Cancer, aspected by Rahu, with Neptune, adds confusion and misinformation. Mid-January sees the Sun entering Capricorn to conjoin Pluto and oppose Mars, shining a spotlight. By January 21, Mars retrogrades into Gemini, redirecting energy toward unresolved issues from late 2024. As Venus meets Saturn in Aquarius and the Sun moves into Capricorn, a shift occurs toward practical reflection, replacing unrealistic resolutions with grounded intentions. Mercury's transition from Scorpio to Sagittarius introduces optimism once it moves beyond Saturn's influence. Venus enters Pisces by the end of the month, fostering optimism but risking self-deception with its conjunction with Rahu and Neptune. Finally, Uranus stations direct at Aries' final degree, signalling the start of a new phase in initiating projects.
This week, a major shift as Pluto leaves Capricorn for the final time and enters Aquarius for 19 years. The Sun enters its hopeful Sagittarius season; its aspects to Neptune and Pluto highlight harmony, healing, and letting go. Mercury opposes Jupiter, so double-check holiday travel plans. As Venus sextiles Saturn, appreciate your mentors and validate those whom you mentor. The Virgo Last Quarter Moon emphasizes purity of purpose and standing up to stormy waves. And a mini-lesson from last year about what Pluto's ingress into Aquarius might mean for us in the coming decades. Plus: Gnarly commutes, tearing out drywall, and harmony is not Pluto's job. This Full Moon in Aquarius will get you thinking forward and contemplating supporting groups and causes you care about. A square to Uranus adds a restlessness and a rebellious nature to this Full Moon. Mercury stations direct later in August, bringing an end to Mercury retrograde and giving you a chance to get back on track with delayed plans or bring the possibility of second chances and resolution to an unfinished matter. Venus enters Libra and stays here for four weeks, bringing sweet relief and improvement to interpersonal matters. Venus in Libra will give a boost to the ‘Venus things' in your life. As Venus approaches the South Node early in September, you may want to think about a relationship habit that you would like to change. Mercury slows to start its retrograde in the first week of August, opposite Saturn, which is already retrograde in Aquarius. With Mars forming a square to Mercury, we will likely feel tension from these turnarounds. We may be turning a corner but not the one we expected. It may feel like we're moving backwards through something we'd rather leave behind. As Venus moves through Leo opposite Saturn, we might not feel good about what we must do, or because we're prevented from doing what we want. Mars amplifies its influence on Venus in Leo, making us feel more passionate about what we do. With Saturn's strong presence and aspect to planets lining up in opposition, we must consider the consequences of any of our actions. The Sun's entry into Leo by mid-month boosts our confidence despite Saturn. Yet such confidence is hard won, earned through a lot of hard work and initial self-doubt. We must adapt to the changing landscape and keep moving forward despite the retrogrades and oppositions. Venus then slips uncomfortably into Virgo, where we're likely to find ourselves complaining, possibly about what others are doing - or perhaps about what they're not doing we think they should. Mercury's backtracking into Cancer complicates Venus' transit through Virgo, especially as Venus is conjoined Ketu. Before the fall, there's one last blowout in August as Venus transits Leo. This is likely enjoyable but frustrating, especially around travel plans and everyday life. The mood is likely to then drop by the end of the month as Venus enters Virgo. August is far from business as usual (Mercury retrograde and Venus debilitated) and may lead to economic challenges, especially as Venus and Ketu align. I hesitate to predict financial catastrophe, as Saturn's strength in Aquarius may keep things stable enough. Yet we might still see significant challenges ahead. Certainly, the mood begins to drop in line with the fall of Venus. Have a time-out with Mercury retrograde in August if you can, and enjoy Venus in Leo as it reappears in our evening skies and puts on an entertaining show.
As Venus and Mars transit into the Signs that they rule, Taurus (Venus) and Aries (Mars), Pluto also begins its Retrograde transit through Aquarius. We take a historical look at the recent Jupiter and Uranus Conjunction in Taurus, which is still resonating its power. Delve into your five physical senses and act from a place of courage for the purpose of expressing yourself authentically. (12:12) Venus in Taurus - April 29 - May 23, 2024. Are you navigating the cosmic turbulence of Venus in retrograde? Join me, Carmen Ramos, as I lead you through this celestial event that has us reflecting on our relationships, our self-perception, and our needs for attention and admiration. As Venus moonwalks through the fire sign of Leo from July 22nd through September 3rd, we take a deep look at its influence on our love life, urging us to be deliberate about our romantic decisions and encouraging us to get to know our partners more deeply before making commitments. Already in a relationship? This is the perfect phase to reassess what you love and what needs improvement. In the regal, attention-loving sign of Leo, Venus retrograde is also a time to examine our need for adoration. But while the spotlight beckons, this phase calls for caution. Impulsiveness, especially regarding our love life, finances, and appearance, can lead us astray. Have you been itching to make drastic changes like adopting a new hairstyle or launching a podcast? My advice is to pause and reconsider. Let's navigate this cosmic event together, learn how to nurture ourselves, and resist the urge to act on impulse. So, come along and thank you for being part of my celestial journey.Support the show

Venus journeys through Leo for 4 months in 2023 due to her retrograde from July 22 to Sept 4, and she will have many significant aspects to other planets that will bring about changes, evolution, and release in money, relationships, friendships, creativity, and your heart's desires. Venus in Leo highlights how you love and accept yourself – self-worth, creativity, personal expressions, confidence, strength – and how those qualities create what you want and desire in your world. As Venus moves through Leo, she will have notable interactions with all outer planets, which will require her to receive their influence, and let go of her expectations as her evolutionary process is going to involve many messages. This podcast provides an overview of the energetic dance Venus in Leo will encounter, including how she is reprogramming her own standards and connecting to more of your authentic needs. March of Destiny continues this week with Venus visiting Taurus changing our focus from what we desire towards all earthly pleasures, such as food, homes, plants, clothing, etch. As Venus helped to focus on personal desires/needs, we now shift to satisfying our senses for pleasure. Mars in a face off with Neptune sets the mood for the week as we are fuzzy in all things involving energy to make our dreams materialize. With Mars now back to its original position in the sky before retrograding, we are feeling energize but have no where to place our energy as Capricorn moon moves in to help stabilize our energy. Thursday finds many mash ups including Venus moving into Taurus, but also the moon meets up with Uranus causing more fuzziness with our emotions. Confusion reigns over the entire week as we must focus on practical activities in order to get through the fog. We also find a Cazimi when Mercury in Pisces conjuncts the Sun in Pisces bringing psychic dreams, but foggy communications with others. Weekend finds the Aquarius moon meeting up with Venus in Taurus causing us to think of humanity and its ability to survive. The individual may lose privileges in order to serve the whole. Themes of the upcoming move of Pluto into Aquarius will be on display for us to compute and slowly begin to accept these unstoppable changes to our collective consciousness. Next week will open with a new moon in Aries as Pluto moves into a quick preview in Aquarius. Huge shifts in the paradigm continues in March as we also reach the Spring Equinox welcoming in Aries season! It's non stop this year 2023, as a small respite will occur shortly when Mercury prepares for its Spring nap.. Hold on to your spiritual practices as we will need them as the weather mirrors the beginning of a new shift in our collective consciousness. *Breathe deeply when you tune into your physical body to help balance your mind and emotions.* --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/jody-cirame/message

Getting into a relationship can be a tough job. You sometimes do not know whether you are ready or not. Engaging in a relationship when you're not ready can be hurtful to the two of you. You might end up hurting each other in the end because you are not ready for the responsibility of a relationship. Astrology and your home play a role in love and relationships. In this episode, we have Kate Winds as she discusses all astrology and your house as to how it impacts your life and relationships. Standout Quotes: "Understanding your natal chart can give you great insight into different things about your life and it can even provide you some self-assurance that this is how I am. This is how I feel." [Kate] "When we look at the natal chart for love, we pay attention to Venus. Everyone has a Venus in their chart and Venus will sit in one of the 12 signs. Depending on what sign it sits in, and how it's intercepted by other planets, it can give you great insight into what you are looking for love." [Kate] "We're setting the intention for the universe or for God or whatever entity you believe in to provide you someone that will utilize that space in the closet." [Kate] "If you're ready to change your life, start looking at the home. It's one of the easiest ways, maybe even easier than therapy. Let's change some things up in our home to be able to get the energy moving and to start changing your life." [Kate] Key Takeaways: In the astrology side of relationships, the natal chart is seen to help give us an overview of our lives. It assures us that who we are, and what we feel are valid. As Venus is the Goddess of love and beauty in Roman Mythology, she is the one you should check when seeing the natal chart for love. Venus offers great insights when it comes to love. Everything in your life must be ready once you want to enter a relationship. Make sure you have the space to accommodate your significant other. This prepares us and gives fate a signal that you are ready. Well known as 'mutual enemies' in Vedic Astrology, we will examine how a benefic, female planet could end up in such a situation! We will also explore their Exaltation points, their pure intent through Shad bala and see how their Ayana bala approaches might explain the 'Cancel Culture' phenomenon. As evening twilight begins to fade, a brilliant point of light pops into view low in the southwest: Venus, the “evening star.” It's the brightest object in the night sky other than the Moon. And tonight, it stands farthest from the Sun for its current evening appearance. That means there's a little extra time to enjoy the view before it sets, around 8:30 or 9. Venus is the second planet from the Sun, while Earth is the third. Since it's closer in, we never see it for more than a few hours after sunset or before sunrise. How long we get to see it and how high it stands in the sky vary from one appearance to the next. It depends on the angle of Venus's path. Right now, it follows a low angle across the sky in early evening. As Venus sets, it slides along the horizon instead of dropping straight down. So it's not all that high at sunset, and it doesn't stay in view as long as it would at other times of year. After today, Venus will begin dropping back toward the Sun as seen from Earth. That's just an illusion, though. The planet is actually moving closer to Earth. The relative motions of the two worlds make it look like Venus is approaching the Sun. As Venus gets closer, it also will form a bigger target. As a result, it will get a little brighter over the next few weeks. Venus will cross between Earth and the Sun in January. After that, it will climb into the morning sky, where it will reign for most of the year. Script by Damond Benningfield Support McDonald Observatory

Monday is full of news and chaos as the world tries to understand all the disasters occurring at once. As Venus enters Libra today, it's other home in an air sign, we will collectively wish for peace and friendship- at least until September 10th when it enters the dark deep angst of Scorpio's underworld. By Thursday when Uranus takes its 5 month long nap until January 2022 in Taurus, we will all be fighting amongst ourselves on the correct humanitarian goals going forward into the new century. We are already witnessing the trends for the future whereby some countries remain free and democratic, while others obey the government to set the structure of their hive lives. Take action, too, on matters conceived around Nov. 14, 2020. 24:04 – For a quick review of all the lunar phases, revisit Ep. 34 (https://bit.ly/3C10o8A). 24:28 – Communicative Mercury enters Virgo (Aug. 11-29). Or, this could bring a change in appearance, so your outsides fit your insides! 30:25 – Venus enters Libra (Aug. 15 - Sep. 10). It’s a Cardinal kinda week, astrologically speaking. Cardinal, for those who don’t know already, is a “quality,” a way of expression – a style, so to speak. The term is derived from the start of a season, and so, its means initiation, beginnings, leadership, starting, generating. With five planets in Cardinal signs - Cancer, Capricorn and Aries – it’s the sorta week where you really wanna be at the helm, navigating your own ship and calling the shots. This week brings an energy shift. Mercury, retrograde in Scorpio, shifts into lighter Libra, with Venus entering the same sign from prim Virgo. This is a hella lightening of energy! Libra is the relationship sign, and she’s all about compromise and diplomacy, as opposes to the extreme black and white view of Scorpio. This is probably a much-needed relief, as even Venus in Virgo can be a touch overanalysing at times. This is the kinda week where it’s a good time to get social and have a bit of light, breezy fun. It’s also a great time to take those gritty conversations and insights and transform them into workable solutions, especially with your sweetheart. You’re that much more able to keep your head above the emotional waters and see things in a more rational, fair and balanced light. Isn’t that just perfect? With Venus heading into her home sign, and her incarnation as the Goddess Aphrodite, all relationship matters have the chance to improve, and the fussy feelings should start to ebb – making room for real pleasure. On a personal note, this is a perfect week to start a new beauty regime, get your hair done, go shopping and dancing. It’s the perfect week to get yourself out there and market yourself, too. She lends charm in this sign, along with social grace and beauty. With a Full Moon also in a Venus-ruled sign – Taurus – this really is the week of love, pleasure and sensuality! A Taurus Full Moon can sometimes feel a little intense as the Sun is still in Scorpio, which does lend a very emotional feel to this lunation. Surprises can be had, and it’ll be important to explore the balance between complacence and transformation. Where in your life could you be feeling a little over-comfortable? Also – where do you need more commitment and routine? It may be time to let you unhealthier habits go and to embrace a more holistic way of living, both personally and in your relationships. Finally, as the Sun meets in an opposition with startling Uranus this week, expect the unexpected! Don’t reply too much on your carefully-laid plans to pan out just the way you expect. Flexibility will be important, especially with the release offered by the Full Moon. All in all, this is the sort of week where most of the theme is around love and relationships, around diplomacy, finding common ground and playing fair. Some intensity can be felt, but it can all be smoothed over with rational thought and talking it out. Remember, Mercury Retrograde always offers a chance to reflect and review. It’s the Universe’s gentle way of saying it’s time to sit back and think instead of throwing yourself at everything so actively. The square between Mercury and Saturn this week may have you thinking negatively – rather remember what you have to be grateful for. #ARIES #AriesHoroscope All the planets glide into your opposite sign and your committed relationship zone, Aries. During its first couple of billion years, Venus could have been warm and wet — a paradise for life. Research in recent years says it could have had a global ocean — a perfect place for life to take hold. Today, though, the planet is anything but paradise. The surface temperature is about 865 degrees Fahrenheit, and the surface pressure is more than 90 times greater than Earth’s. The change probably was caused by a runaway greenhouse effect, which began as the Sun got brighter. When it was born, the Sun was a good bit fainter than it is today. That allowed the ocean on Venus to form in the first place. As the Sun aged, though, it got brighter and hotter. The water in Venus’s ocean began to evaporate. The extra water vapor in the atmosphere trapped more of the Sun’s heat, speeding up the process. Radiation from the Sun zapped water molecules in the atmosphere, splitting them apart. The hydrogen escaped into space, while the oxygen combined with carbon to make carbon dioxide. At first, most of it was locked in the rocks. As Venus got hotter, though, more and more was released into the air. The CO2 trapped even more solar energy, cranking up the thermostat even more — turning Venus from paradise to purgatory. Venus is still beautiful to look at, though. Right now, it’s the brilliant “morning star.” It’ll stand quite close to the crescent Moon at dawn tomorrow, and farther to the upper right of the Moon on Sunday. In May’s episode, Stephanie and Megan explore the astro landscape for the month, most notably the Venus Retrograde in Gemini that begins this month and continues through the end of June. They talk about how Venus' retrograde cycle plays into our sense of prosperity, what we value, and also the relationships in our life. As Venus squares off with Neptune, they discuss the need to step back and allow for deeper reflection, and why this is truly a moment for regrouping before making major commitments. The Queen of Pentacles is the Tarot card for the month, and Megan discusses how this earthy and grounded queen can lead us a to deeper appreciation of our prosperity and abundance.

We haven't had a Grand Cross in the chart for some time that I can remember, so we'll talk about this one with the Moon, the Nodes of the Moon, Chiron and Venus! This one is power-loaded with dealing with our soul's past....the theme of 2019 & 2020 under Saturn/Pluto! Also, we'll talk about the Aries/Libra axis because that's important, too! Feb 12 Transcription[00:00:00] And welcome in to grand cross Wednesday. Otherwise known as hump day. Well, we are halfway through the week and we have for the first time in a long time a grand cross. So we've got a lot to talk about today. Bunch of aspects up in the sky overhead for February 12 hi, Thomas Miller. Thanks for joining us.[00:00:25] Let's get started. I don't know when the last time a grand cross appeared, but we have one today and it involves the nodes of the moon. What is a grand cross? And since we haven't talked about one in a while, it's when there are simply four points in the chart that are joined by squares. Now that would, I mean, if you're thinking ahead of me here a little bit, you would think, well, that means some tense aspect in the chart.[00:00:55] Yes, that would be right. Because you kind of have this, think of it like a frame in the chart, if you will, of tense aspects. Now, what's interesting about this one is it is caused mostly by the moon and the nodes. So the moon is still in Libra. It moved in there last night at six 30 Eastern time. It is in Libra all through today, all through tomorrow.[00:01:22] It leaves and goes into Scorpio at 7:37 PM tomorrow night. Those are both Eastern times. Okay. So as we're looking at the moon's position in Libra, mid morning, early morning this morning, I'm looking at a about eight o'clock Eastern time. It's at eight degrees Libra. The nodes, the North and South nodes of the moon are at seven degrees.[00:01:49] Capricorn and cancer. So there's a square, right? Because let's think about it. Let's go in. So dial order from cancer where the North node is. What's [00:02:00] next little quiz here. Little astrology quiz, cancer, Leo, right? What's after Leo? Virgo, and then Libra. So see, there's three, one, two, three, three, six, nine 90 degrees, and coming around the other way from Libra.[00:02:15] Next Scorpio, Sagittarius. Capricorn. See there's your one, two, three. I always do these reports with my chart and whole sign because we don't talk about houses. Why? Because the houses change so often about every couple of two, two and a half hours through the day. So you know that I'm looking at a moon in the ninth house.[00:02:36] Only applies for a very short window of the day, and you might be listening to this all through the day. So I don't focus on the houses, but I do keep my chart in whole signs simply because it's so much easier to see these aspects and how one relates to the other. So I can very easily see the access line.[00:02:56] North node, South node one, two, three houses. There's the moon. It's what's on the other side of this grand cross that is interesting. Chi, Ron and Venus are basically conjunct in Aries. Chiron is at three degrees. Venus is at five degrees, so the moon is opposite Chiron, Venus and Chiron, Venus square, North and South nodes of the moon.[00:03:24] So there's your grand cross. So not only do you have four squares, so let's just. Put them all in order. Here. Moon is square. The South node, South. Notice square, Chiron and Venus Chiron and Venus is square. The North node, which is square the moon, but you have two oppositions always in a grand cross. So the North and South nodes of the moon are always opposite.[00:03:49] But this time the sun is opposite. Chiron. Venus. Now there's a big theme in this grand cross North and South node [00:04:00] and Chiron folks we are dealing with our past today. I'm thinking, welcome to the future. It looks just like the past. It's like that's kind of the, the impression that I get today is like today could be a day when some stuff fires off.[00:04:17] And I think it could be triggered actually by the Chiron Venus conjunction in Aries. That to me, just looks like a trip wire for anything that could be festering in your soul. Does that make sense? You know, it's almost like. if you get a splinter in your finger and your body mobilizes around it, obviously you get a little, you know, infection.[00:04:43] You get a little pus around it as the body starts to protect that skin from the invader, and then your body wants to extract it. So a lot of times if you just get a little sticker in your finger, your body will automatically just eject it. That's what I'm seeing here. It's almost like Venus and Chiron are acting like white blood cells to say, let's get this out.[00:05:05] I guess I could use the analogy of an upset stomach, but let's don't do that so early. You know what I mean? It's like your body wants to just get the problem up and out and over with. Right. Problem solved. I guess I could personalize this because I'm going through that relative to one particular area of my life right now that I've just been letting sit and it's happened.[00:05:29] As Venus has come through Aries here and crossed over Chiron and now we've formed up this grand cross. I can kind of see it that it's been building leading up to this. What I'm personally doing, as I've mentioned is, is just holding the space of this and observing. And working through it and letting what comes up come up, and it's been a really amazing cleansing of a really deep soul based subconscious area.[00:05:57] Now, let me just throw another element on this real [00:06:00] quick because I have my North node and South node are in Aries and Libra. South node is in Aries, North node is in Libra, so I'm pretty familiar with this axis. What we also are moving from is Aries fiery warrior energy. That's where Chiron and Venus are.[00:06:20] So that's where the tripwire is. So we're moving from aggression where moving from warrior, we're moving from fire, we're moving from aggression to Libra, harmony, balance, love. Also, we're moving from independence. Because the warrior is an independent entity. Libra is all about others. I've said, if you want to know the person with the biggest Rolodex in the astrological chart, go find the Libras.[00:06:51] They are connectors. So this is also about moving from yourself and just stepping into the space of others. And I would take that energy and play with it today. How can you move from yourself and from wounds? That might, you just might be a little bit self-absorbed, like this is all about me and move into the world of others.[00:07:14] That's the energy you have with this special grand cross on February 12th, 2020 thanks for listening. Hope that works for you. Have a great one. I'll see you tomorrow. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Botticelli's Birth of Venus is one of the most treasured artworks of the Renaissance. It is a painting of a goddess named Venus. Venus emerges from the sea sitting on a shell. Her shell is pushed to the shore from winds produced by the wind-gods in a shower of roses. As Venus is about to step out of her shell and onto the shore, a Nymph reaches out to cover her with a cloak. Suzka realizes her new role at this point might be a Nymph. Relationships, money, food - all those juicy things we love! As Venus visits the South Node, we get tested to not overindulge. It's also the last week of Uranus in Aries, as we watch a chapter ends. Check out Deb's latest podcast and hear all about it!
As Venus rebirths your heart, Mercury goes backwards to reassess and obtain the messages from the gods to help you evolve. Jupiter shifts home and asks you to AIM HIGH!, Uranus is full of Aries fire and innovating change, as the Nodes point toward success in the sky. Clarity from the stars is at your reach.
Mars is exalted by November 3, before moving into sidereal Aquarius on November 6 and into a stronger aspect from Saturn, which stays in Mula lunar sign for one last month. There are some loose ends to tie up, as we reign in and conserve energy. Jupiter settles into Scorpio, having moved into Anuradha on October 27; where it will remain until December 27. There is a mutual aspect to Rahu in Cancer, fueling the water signs Cancer and Scorpio; bringing more awareness to emotional manipulations. Jupiter's combustion between November 12 and December 9 brings purification, along with confusion if we look to outside sources for direction; instilling in us a need to journey inward to find inner guidance. The new Moon on November 7 is an important transition for the year, as we pay homage to those who have gone before us, and light up this time of year as a symbol of the light winning against the dark. Diwali is celebrated in India, while in Ireland we celebrate Samhain. Venus stations direct on November 16, just as the Sun prepares to move out of debilitation and into Scorpio. The 'bright morning star' returns to guide us as Jupiter is lost in the rays of the Sun, and we are guided, and tempted, by sensual desire, especially as the Moon is exalted for the full Moon on November 23; impassioned by Mars’ aspect and an opposition from Jupiter. As Venus stations direct, Mercury stations retrograde in Scorpio on November 17, and remains retrograde until December 6. Mercury is in combustion (Nov. 21 to Dec. 2), and conjuncts Jupiter on November 27, during the mid-point of the retrograde cycle; a turning point during this process of review. Mercury’s retrograde in Scorpio is dark, brooding and confusing, as we grapple with our own demons, sometimes projecting them at others, while denying ourselves the value of such introspection.

When Venus starts dancing in the dark, so does our connection to love. The beautiful illumination Venus brings to the sky as the evening or morning star is something so undeniable, so visceral, so captivating, that we realize how much we miss her only when she is gone. . Ancient symbology and story throughout time has tried to capture this rommance humans have always had with this incandescent planet. . Venus has begun her Retrograde, as of October 5th 2018 in NYC (correction from recording) and we mear mortals walking this earth now start the mourning process of our dear Venus and our hearts. What do we really need and want to feel and experience true authentic love? . As Venus will be resting still for her underworld dance in the sign of Scorpio, we have a very unique and distinctive opportunity to meet our ancestors our DNA, our bloodline to see how we landed in the shoes we currently walk. How did our grandmother's experience with love, effect ours? Did the call of our grandfather's hearts, create the orchestra of our hearts symphony? . We are not at random. We are a collection of stories and experiences that are recycled and handed down generation after generation, creating the present moment. This Venus Retrograde, askes us to listen to the whispers of our ancestors, who gifted us our unique heart. What is love? This dance in the dark, will lead us to this answer. . Aired Monday, 2 July 2018, 9:00 PM ETThe Planets This Week: July 2, 2018July this year has some key lessons for us to learn about compassion. With quite a few feel-good transits, particularly in the first third of the month, many of us will be feeling settled – however, events later in the month are set to question that kind of complacency. We're being asked to examine our consciences and to challenge the egotism and aggression we see around us.Chiron turns retrograde in Aries on July 4th, initiating a four-month period during which learning from the past becomes super-important. That which has hurt us previously now serves only to make us more conscious and more aware. The Sun makes two happy trines in the first week of July, first to Jupiter and then to Neptune – these aspects encourage the free flow of money and resources and give us the sensitivity to help those who need these resources the most.As Venus moves into Virgo on July 9th, a much more cynical air prevails. The Cancer New Moon on the 12th is a Supermoon and partial Solar Eclipse, opposed by powerful Pluto. The message here is not to start something new unless you're totally confident that it has the backing of those who matter. The Leo Sun makes a difficult square to Uranus on July 25th, followed by a heated opposition to Mars on the 27th – these transits bring volatile, unpredictable energy which can be quite angry. July rounds out with a Full Moon and total Lunar Eclipse on July 27th which highlights uncertainty and the need for calm heads.Tune in on Monday 6pm PT/9pm ET to find out more…

Transcript: Science proceeds by making observations that discriminate between rival hypotheses. Galileo’s observations of the phases of Venus were decisive evidence in favor of the heliocentric model. In the geocentric model the fact that Venus has always seemed close in the sky to the sun is explained in terms of an epicycle. As Venus moves on its epicycle it is always between the sun and the Earth, thus the phases of Venus do not change substantially since Venus always has its sunlight face pointing back towards the sun. Nor does the apparent size of Venus change because it always lies between the Earth and the sun. In the heliocentric model Venus is sometimes between the Earth and the sun and sometimes on the far side of the sun from the Earth. When Venus is between the sun and the Earth we see its dark face. And so it is barely illuminated as seen by us, and it is larger in the sky because it is close to the Earth. When it is on the far side of the sun from the Earth we see its fully illuminated half so it has a full phase, and its angular size is smaller because it is far from the Earth. The changing and dramatic phases of Venus and the change of its apparent angular size were observed by Galileo and were decisive evidence in favor of Copernicus’s model.
As Venus stations direct, she rapidly approaches her greatest brilliancy. Here Inanna takes up her Crown and sets off on her adventure. The first stop is her meeting with Enki, God of Wisdom. In the Monomyth, or Journey of the Heroine, this is called "the meeting with the Mentor."
