In this episode of the Celebrate Kids podcast, Dr. Kathy Koch addresses the challenges young people face in today's culture, particularly in regards to identity and the concept of heroes. She focuses on the impact this has on young women and how they are being influenced to desire and imagine what it would be like to be men. Dr. Kathy explores the cultural push that gauges women's worth based on how much they resemble men or their ability to achieve the same status. She offers guidance to parents on how to navigate and counteract these influences.

BIO: Charles Rotblut, CFA, is a vice president and financial analyst at the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII).STORY: Charles bought a Dotcom stock in 1998. A week later, the stock had tripled. His dad advised him to take the profits, but he insisted the stock would keep going up. Three days later, the stock lost almost all its value. Charles sold the stock and made very little profit.LEARNING: Don't confuse luck with skill. Utilize a rolling stop loss to manage risk. Always have a diversified portfolio. “The market has an uncanny ability to make you look silly. It doesn't matter how smart you are, how skilled you are, the market can and will make you look stupid, and not just on one occasion, but on several occasions.”Charles Rotblut Guest profileCharles Rotblut, CFA, is a vice president and financial analyst at the American Association of Individual Investors (AAII). He is the editor of the AAII Journal, created both the PRISM Wealth-Building Process and VMQ Stocks, and authors the weekly AAII Investor Update email. His book, “Better Good than Lucky: How Savvy Investors Create Fortune With the Risk-Reward Ratio,” was published in November 2010. Charles holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has analyzed both publicly traded and privately held companies.Worst investment everCharles bought a Dotcom stock in 1998, right before Thanksgiving. The stock took off, and he made triple-digit gains. On Thanksgiving day, Charles told his dad about the stock, and he advised him to take the profits. Charles insisted that the stock could run even higher. The following Monday, he got to work, logged into his computer just as the market opened, and saw that the stock had increased. On checking on the stock again a few hours later, it had lost almost all its value. All the profits had pretty much vanished.Charles got out of the stock and made just a slight gain, but nothing near what he could have made had he listened to his dad.Lessons learnedIt's easy to confuse skill with luck, so be conscious of when luck happens. If you don't want to sell your stock, take some of your profits and hold a little.Put the gains you take in an index fund.Andrew's takeawaysWhenever you get to a point where a stock has gone up or down so much that you're starting to question your situation, sell 50% of your position.Utilize a rolling stop loss to manage risk.Always have a diversified portfolio.Charles's recommendationsCharles recommends using a stock screen to find stocks with all the traits you seek that nobody else is discussing.No.1 goal for the next 12 monthsCharles's number one goal for the next 12 months is to save more than last year. He also wants to get onto the TED Talk stage.Parting words “Just be disciplined. Think about simple strategies. If all you do is write down very simple buy and sell rules and follow those routinely, you'll have returns that are far in excess of the average investor.”Charles...

Better Good than Safe
Live from the No Panic Zone—I'm Steve Gruber—I am America's Voice—God Bless America—God Bless You and let's do this! This is the Steve Gruber show— I am here to pass out Red Pills like the left passes out Covid Vaccines— you need some water with that? Here are three big things you need to know right now— ONE— The King of the Globalists, George Soros has given $1 Million dollars to Robert—I mean Beto O'Rourke in his pointless bid to become Governor of Texas—But that's how it works— TWO— The Mayor of New York is complaining that his city just cannot handle the few hundred illegals shipped to him by Texas and Arizona and is begging for federal aid— THREE— Was Covid just a dry run? And a DRESS REHEARSEL to work you into accepting lockdowns and having your righ? And all for the better good and of course—for the children? President Trump declared a national emergency on March 13, 2020 to deal with the rapidly spreading Covid-19 pandemic—and put the federal government to work trying to corral the disease in its early stages— It failed as you well know—we are two and a half years into 15 days to flatten the curve—and when that power was in the hands of Governors and Mayors too—they did a lot more than flatten the curve— They celebrated their powers every day—they flaunted it and they flattened the economy, the schools and the Constitution all at once— They had real power and they used it! Well, that entire painful 2-year episode may have been child's play compared to what Feeble Joe and the socialists are working on now— because the talk now is that Biden is ready to declare a National Climate Emergency— No Joke, and assembling the power of 130 agencies to do anything they see fit to stop Global Warming— ANYTHING—PERIOD— He stopped short yesterday—BUT he put it out there— By doing so— AND if it's not stopped in its tracks by federal courts—Biden would unchain himself from the pesky oversight of Congress and YOU THE VOTERS AND therefore—he and the alphabet agencies could run roughshod over everyone—you and me included— The Constitution would be a mere distraction— The Washington Post is among those issuing the dire warning that America's use of fossil fuels requires us to declare Climate as a national emergency— even though the facts do not suggest it is even remotely reasonable— It is quite remarkable—considering the world's biggest countries, India and China are building coal fired power plants by the score and as fast as they can—in the EU 45 are being built right now—dozens more are in process from Africa to Central and South America— The alleged Climate Crisis by the way—is apparently only happening in America too—where you must learn to live without using your car, pay an SUV tax, not use air conditioning deal with rolling blackouts and a whole lot more—because you know—SCIENCE— In the rest of the world—the use of coal, oil and natural gas is expanding—even The European Union is building 45 new coal fired plants—and every coal fired electrical generation station in Germany is back up and running—because they know the deal they struck with Russia—the one Donald Trump warned them against—has put them into a deep hole—and this winter could put them in a deep freeze across the nation— The war on farmers is being previewed in The Netherlands where Dutch farmers are being told they have to cut nitrogen emissions massively—to the point that they will not even be able to continue—or else the government will seize their lands and kill their cows—either way they are getting destroyed— They are told it is the pursuit of sustainable agriculture—like that outlined in the United Nations newly updated Agenda 2030—but even far left wingers like Russell Brand can see through that lie— US Presidents have declared 60 national emergencies since 1976—many of which are still in effect by the way— including the Covid-19 declaration issued by President Trump and just extended again by President Biden— One of the tools Biden could use—would be banning the export of American Oil according to an outfit called The Center for Biological Diversity and its energy justice program— by banning all oil exports not only would Biden toss tens of thousands of Americans out of work—and crush American energy companies—but it could also reduce global emissions—BUT of course there is little to back that up—because other countries will ramp up more production— One of the big winners will be the small nation of Guyana—where the biggest oil strike in decades was found in 2017—and is now controlled by Exxon Mobil—so if the US pulls this dangerous stunt at home—others will surely fill the gap and the impact on emissions globally will be less than zero—BUT the impact on America could be devastating and permanent— and sadly its clear—they don't care because they do have an agenda— even basic facts about math don't matter— And at some point you have to accept that the whole point of Agenda 2030—it is to re-shuffle the world deck of nations and who has the power— envy of America abroad and self-loathing from home grown socialists could deliver a death blow to our great republic—BUT not on my watch— We will fight back and will not comply to mindless regulations that have nothing to do with organic farming—like Russell Brand said—or the children— This has to do with just one thing—POWER, PERIOD! Let's review the long list of power hungry socialists—that proclaim climate as a national security issue—while flying in private jets, dining on private yachts—and leaving bigger carbon footprints than many small countries—they are dishonest pigs—BUT remember all animals are equal—some are just more equal than others—

Jayden Klinac views problems as design opportunities, and the environment is his target. He's developed New Zealand's first biodegradable and compostable water bottle, made entirely from plants - For the Better Good. It's the lead product for a system he's designing; from production, to collection, to composting. His firm is also composting the packaging of Whittaker's trial of biodegradable Peanut Slab wrappers. And in one year, Jayden Klinac's suburban farm in Wellington has diverted over 40,000 kg of food waste and packaging from landfills. Kathryn speaks with Jayden Klinac - the founder of For the Better Good and Edible Earth and co-founder of Nudes Drinks.
The government is getting ready to ban more plastics to help the environment.Environment Minister David Parker has announced a plan to phase out hard-to-recycle-plastics by 2025.But a natural plastics producer says there's more the government can do to wean us off our plastic addiction.Jayden Klinac is the founder of For the Better Good, which makes plastic alternatives - including making bread tags out of bread waste, and compostable plastic. He told Heather du Plessis-Allan that we are in a position where businesses need to transition - but the business isn't at a scale where it's cheap or easy to produce. "They are certainly more expensive. Plastic's really cheap because it needs to be."The more that businesses commit and take the leap to these newer, natural materials, the cheaper they are going to get."LISTEN ABOVE

Jayden Klinac is the founder of For The Better Good, a New Zealand company that is turning water bottles into compost, and therefore soil, and therefore food at its urban garden. Jayden's company eliminates the waste in its process in a very cool way...instead of waiting for others to throw out or recycle the bottles For The Better Good actually owns boxes spread around New Zealand, where employees pick the bottles up and they are eventually composted in one of their 7 compost stations. This is a great interview, whether you want to learn a little more about how a sustainable company runs, how to transform your idea into reality, or about how we can help the planet by being a little smarter. However, as first-responders it's so important that we not only build our confidence, but we also sustain that confidence over time. Here are some tips to help you do so. 1) Think of a time that you felt really confident. What are you confident at? Imagine you were confident right now, how does that feel to you? 2) As you remember feeling confident, you will start to feel confident. Where does that confidence start? Your head, your stomach, your feet? 3) Imagine you can see your confident feeling. What color is your feeling? Make this feel brighter and stronger. 4) Does your confident feeling, feel hot our cold? Double the temperature of your confident feeling. 5) In what direction does your feeling spin in? Whatever direction spin it faster and faster. How much more confident to you feel now? Better? Good! Go forth and conquer the day. www.cjevolution.com Patrick
