Según la versión transmitida tradicionalmente, el cristianismo surgió en su forma ya acabada a partir de la predicación de Jesús de Nazaret, cuyo inalterado mensaje se cristalizó unos siglos más tarde en la Iglesia. Sin embargo, la evidencia histórica muestra una realidad bien distinta. Antonio Piñero y Javier Alonso han escrito Cómo nació el cristianismo con el propósito de ofrecer una visión rigurosa y documentada de los primeros años de existencia del cristianismo. Antonio Piñero es filólogo, historiador y escritor, especialista en el estudio del cristianismo primitivo y en la figura del Jesús histórico. Catedrático emérito de Filología Griega en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, ha dedicado su carrera a investigar los orígenes del cristianismo, los evangelios canónicos y apócrifos, y la literatura gnóstica. Autor de una extensa obra, también es traductor y editor de numerosos escritos antiguos que hoy forman parte de referencias imprescindibles en lengua española. Es una de las voces más reconocidas en el ámbito de los estudios bíblicos y religiosos. Javier Alonso es licenciado en Filología Semítica, DEA en Historia Antigua, y Máster en Lenguas y Culturas del Oriente Próximo Antiguo, todo por la Universidad Complutense. Es escritor, traductor, conferenciante, guía de viajes arqueológicos y profesor de Humanidades en el IE Business School y en la IE University. Ha escrito numerosos libros, artículos y cuentos sobre temas relacionados especialmente con la Historia Antigua y la Arqueología, o la Historia en general. BlázquezIrene Blázquez Navarro, directora del Center for the Governance of Change en IE University, analizó la transformación del orden mundial y la evolución del lema “America First” de Donald Trump en un contexto de fractura global. A su juicio, el mundo ha pasado “de la hiperglobalización al regreso de la geopolítica pura”, donde la lógica del poder y la confrontación reemplazan al consenso multilateral. Blázquez advirtió que la pandemia aceleró una tendencia hacia la desglobalización, marcada por el declive de la democracia, el deterioro del multilateralismo y el aumento del gasto militar, lo que define una nueva era de inestabilidad global.Sobre la política exterior de Estados Unidos, señaló que Trump mantiene una estrategia “paradójica, entre la exhibición de fuerza y el repliegue proteccionista”, que refleja el choque entre su nacionalismo económico y la inevitabilidad de la interdependencia internacional. Para Blázquez, el presidente se niega a aceptar “un mundo multipolar donde EE. UU. ya no es la única potencia”. Respecto al plan de paz de Gaza, destacó que representa “un éxito diplomático en un contexto sin consensos internacionales”, aunque advirtió que su viabilidad “pende de un hilo”. Natural England reports that 90% of adults in England consider green and natural spaces to be good for mental health. But the relationship between gardening, environmental practice, and wellbeing is more complex.Drawing on interviews and surveys with gardeners, this paper explores how practices such as composting, water use and encouraging wildlife connect to wellbeing. Like Kirsty in The Archers, many gardeners find joy in sustainable approaches and in feeling they can do something in response to climate change. Ten days ago Spanish prime minister Pedro Sánchez's Socialist Party was rocked by a major corruption scandal - when the party's head of organization Santos Cerdan became implicated in a massive graft operation involving the Spanish construction giant Acciona.The case has called into question Sánchez's political judgement and credibility - in what is the most serious crisis of his seven year stint as head of government. It also brings to mind the worst crony capitalist practices that have plagued Spanish institutions for decades. Leong explains why meaningful AI audits require deep collaboration between lawyers and data scientists, arguing that legal systems have not kept pace with the speed and complexity of technological change. Drawing on her experience at Luminos.Law—one of the first AI-specialist law firms—she outlines how companies can leverage existing regulations, industry-specific expectations, and contextual risk assessments to build practical, responsible AI governance frameworks. Leong emphasizes that many organizations now treat AI oversight not just as a legal compliance issue, but as a critical business function. Ships transport around 80% of the world's cargo. From your food, to your car to your phone, chances are it got to you by sea. The vast majority of the world's container ships burn fossil fuels, which is why 3% of global emissions come from shipping – slightly more than the 2.5% of emissions from aviation. The race is on to reduce these emissions, and quickly, to meet the Paris agreement targets. In this episode we find out what technologies are available to shipping companies to reduce their carbon emissions – from sails, to alternative fuels or a 'Google maps for the ocean'.
