Justin Bieber Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Justin Bieber has spent the past few days quietly but very visibly reinforcing two big biographical themes: his evolution into a low‑key family man and his continued value as a lifestyle and branding powerhouse. Over the weekend in Los Angeles, local outlets and eyewitness clips shared by the Evansville Courier and Press reported that Justin surprised a table of diners at a Mexican restaurant by casually joining in a singalong of Happy Birthday, turning an ordinary celebration into a viral moment. The video shows him relaxed, smiling, and clearly comfortable slipping into normal life while still being the guy whose voice instantly electrifies a room, a small but telling snapshot of where he is in his fame journey. Just a night or two earlier, fan videos on Instagram and TikTok captured Justin and Hailey Bieber attending The Kid LAROI's show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, sitting in the crowd rather than staging a grand entrance. Those sightings, amplified by multiple fan accounts, underline how Bieber has repositioned himself: no longer the constant headliner, but a heavyweight pop elder statesman who can show up and instantly become the subtext of someone else's event. On the business front, tech and lifestyle creators on TikTok, including CarterPCS, have been highlighting a new line of Justin Bieber–branded headphones and speakers. While full financial details have not been disclosed, the early reviews center on design, sound quality, and the power of his name to move product, reinforcing his long‑running shift from pure touring artist to diversified brand and investor. This kind of consumer‑electronics play fits neatly beside his earlier catalog sale and various fashion and skincare collaborations, and could have real long‑term significance if it becomes a sustained product line rather than a one‑off drop. Relationship chatter, always a biographical through‑line, remains intense. Entertainment sites like AOL continue to point back to Hailey's recent PDA‑filled photo dumps and Coachella moments with Justin as evidence that, despite constant online speculation about their marriage, the public record still shows a couple that chooses to appear affectionate and unified. Any rumors of separation circulating on social media as of the past few days remain unconfirmed and should be treated as speculation unless and until addressed by the Biebers or reported by major outlets with direct sourcing. Nothing says Elder Statesman like dumping publically on your party, its leader and its wannabe leaders in the midst of a crisis and weeks before a series of tricky by-elections. And so to Tony Blair, a man so brim-full of his own wisdom that it took him 5,700 words plus a BBC interview to say Labour and its team is a bit, well, lefty for his liking. Alex, Naomi and Kenny try to tease out the reasons for Blair's bombshell intervention, which comes as fellow New Labour traveller Gordon Brown is drafted in to help Starmer and the other fellow traveller, Peter Mandelson... never mind. Plus the latest on the Tories, Greens, Lib Dems, and goings-on in Scotland, Ireland and Wales. All that and we still managed to do it in fewer than 5,700 words. Probably. ***SPONSOR US AT KO-FI.COM/QUIETRIOTPOD*** • We have put together a BLUESKY STARTER PACK, if you would like to join us there • Email us at quietriotpod@gmail.com • Or visit our website www.quietriotpod.com • Cover image tablet from pngtree.com • Cover image frame by tohamina on Magnific Brought to you by Naomi Smith, Alex Andreou and Kenny Campbell. Mit 43 gehört man in der Hip-Hop-Welt schon zu den älteren Semestern. Und wie ein Elder Statesman gebärt sich auch der New Yorker Nems; eines seiner Aliase ist „The Mayor of Coney Island“. Der Herr Bürgermeister hat jetzt ein paar neue Reime gedroppt. Mahdi Rahimi Trishe S und Natalie Brunner haben sich „The Bar Exam“ von Nems und Ron Browz im Black Moon Remix angehört.

Jesse Jackson, a towering figure in civil rights and politics, has passed away. His death marks the end of an era for a leader who dedicated his life to fighting for equality, justice, and opportunity for all Americans. Over decades, Jackson became a national voice on civil rights issues, running for president, mentoring young activists, and consistently speaking truth to power.Growing up in a town that often vilified figures like Jesse Jackson, I learned to respect his unwavering commitment to justice despite criticism and opposition. I had the chance to see him in person last year at an Al Sharpton rally in Columbus. Even in poor health, his presence symbolized hope and resilience, a reminder of the work he inspired in countless others.Jackson's contributions went beyond speeches and rallies. He carried the responsibility of being an elder statesman, often engaging in difficult conversations with those resistant to change. Whether or not you agreed with every political stance he took, there was a lot to admire about his courage, persistence, and dedication to civil rights. It's disheartening that, decades later, we still face the same racial challenges that Jackson fought against. Yet his life reminds us that the fight continues, and new generations must carry the torch forward. As we remember his legacy, let's honor the principles he stood for: equality, justice, and persistent advocacy for marginalized communities. While public reactions vary, from heartfelt tributes to more self-centered statements, Jackson's life deserves focus and reflection, not distractions. His work, mentorship, and leadership have left an indelible mark on our country.Check out my work at https://www.cleveland.com/staff/cpugh/ and support the podcast at https://cash.app/$chrispugh3Grab a 2026 Topps Baseball Series 1 Factory Sealed Mega Box here:https://www.fanatics.com/mlb/mlb-merchandise/trading-cards/2026-topps-baseball-series-1-factory-sealed-mega-box/o-2309+t-81002141+d-017450348+f-283047133+z-9-4014397671?irclickid=3jBWaF05pxyZWGi0isRWd0EjUkux5cQ3018yUo0&irgwc=1&afsrc=1&_s=afl_impact&utm_source=Impact&utm_medium=affiliates&SSAID=5163860#JesseJackson, #CivilRights, #ElderStatesman, #SocialJustice, #Equality, #AmericanHistory, #Legacy, #Activism, #AlSharpton, #RacialJustice, #Leadership, #Mentorship, #PoliticalFigures, #CivilRightsLeader, #HumanRights, #JusticeForAll, #HistoricFigures, #RememberingJesseJackson, #PublicService, #Inspiration

The Daly Dose of Hoops Podcast returns from the July 4th weekend with its longest coach interview to date, but one of the most informative. In this episode, host Jaden Daly and co-host Brian Wilmer sit down with UNC Asheville head coach Mike Morrell to get his thoughts on basketball, leadership, recruiting, and where the game appears to be headed. Now the longest-tenured head coach in the Big South Conference, Morrell enters his eighth year leading the Bulldogs, and shares his journey from Shaka Smart assistant to his first year at the helm in Asheville. From opening with Mike's reflection on the big picture in the aftermath of his program being temporarily displaced by Hurricane Helene last year, to his love of golf that will be satiated as he attends the Ryder Cup this fall, this is one conversation you'll enjoy listening to when you find the time.
On this date in 1895, Red Thunder was in jail awaiting trial. Though no one had been killed, sensational reports of a so-called “Turtle Mountain War” stirred fear. Canadian troops mobilized along the border, but the U.S. declined to send forces, saying the Chippewa had legal rights in the area and the situation was exaggerated.
The world get's crazier every day and it's a perfect time for our elder statesman Ed to stop in. He has some great insights. Let's get into it.

Devin: What is your superpower?Michael: I have what we might say in Yiddish is intellectual shpilke. I have difficulty focusing on one issue. I like to think across boundaries.Michael Shuman, one of the real OGs of crowdfunding, has managed to elude an invitation to be a guest on my show for the past decade, but today we remedy that situation. He is an economist, attorney, author and entrepreneur who focuses on local community investing via crowdfunding. He publishes the Main Street Journal, which is also here on Substack. He noted a fundamental principle that guides his work—and mine—in the local investing community: “We're too few in number to be competitive. We've got to be as collaborative as possible.”Michael has a fascinating superpower, evidenced immediately in a one-sentence bio. He describes it as “intellectual shpilke” using a Yiddish term some describe as ants-in-your-pants. His education and practice include law, economics and entrepreneurship.AI Podcast Summary* Michael H. Shuman is an economist, attorney, author, and entrepreneur focused on community economics.* He played a significant role in the creation of the 2012 Jobs Act and various state laws on crowdfunding.* His passion for local investing stems from his own experience of struggling to raise capital for his businesses.* Michael believes that local businesses are crucial for economic development, job creation, and community success.* He emphasizes the need for a massive organizing movement to shift the investment ecosystem towards supporting local businesses.* Some strategies he suggests include creating groups that bring businesses and investors together, providing information on local businesses seeking capital, and promoting the use of funds for local investment.* Michael publishes the Main Street Journal, which highlights news and innovations in local investment.* His superpower is the ability to integrate various subjects and perspectives to explore bottom-line truths.* Michael encourages reading across boundaries, subscribing to different publications, and engaging in civil conversations with those who have different viewpoints.* To connect with Michael and learn more about his work, visit the Main Street Journal website, his personal blog, or his Twitter account. How to Develop Intellectual Shpilke As a SuperpowerMichael shared a story to illustrate his superpower:'So there is a storyline that I developed during the conversation about creating the Jobs Act that I think was very effective with skeptics. In securities laws, you have securities lawyers who are like twins because they speak to one another all the time early in their childhood. Their speech gets stunted, and they don't even realize it. And one of the things that securities lawyers babble to one another all the time is that we don't want Grandma to buy swampland in Florida, which is a totally reasonable argument. You don't want people to get defrauded. And that's why we have all of these securities laws, strictures to protect grandma from buying swamp land in Florida. What I started to point out to people, and this is back in the late 2000s when my mother was still alive, is that my mother being a grandmother living in Saint Louis, I don't want her to buy swamp land in Florida. But what did she do with her money and her time? She would go to one of a dozen casinos in Saint Louis. And when she entered the casino, she. Would she get a question? “Excuse me, Mrs. Shuman, but can you prove that you are an accredited gambler?” That never happened. And when she sat down to play blackjack, would they say, “Listen, before you enter this risky enterprise, will you please read this thick booklet of all of the risks of playing blackjack and sign?” And that never happened, either. So I pointed out to people that we have two risky activities going on in the US economy. One called gambling, where you could lose everything and probably will–independent of your income. And another called local investing and saving your community, where we're not going to let you play unless you pay a lawyer $25,000. Every human being except a seasoned securities lawyer can understand the logic of that. So, you know, you get people to laugh a little bit. And my mother was sort of amused by the story. But I feel like it's through laughter and through just poking holes with sort of folksy logic that you can move mountains. What a great example! His intellectual ants-in-the-pants helped him cross-pollinate ideas to create a compelling metaphor for legal change. With it, he helped to change federal securities laws.Michael has some simple advice to help you develop your intellectual shpilke, “To help, one of the things that I have my students do to develop a little bit of this is I have them do something that they never do anymore—most people our age would find this shocking—which is to subscribe to a newspaper or a magazine.”By following Michael's example and his advice, you can increase the intellectual ants in your pants to help you cross-pollinate ideas and potentially create a new superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Guest-Provided ProfileMichael H. Ja, nun also tatsächlich Campino hier bei Reflektor.
When co-founders and partners Matthew Herman and David Kien started developing Boy Smells, they weren't exactly sure they had a brand. In fact, Herman said the process of making candles in their living room in 2016 was a side hustle. Both Herman and Kien were working in fashion at the time; Herman was a designer at Nasty Gal and Kien worked in production at The Elder Statesman. "We didn't have a ton of high aspirations for the brand when we first started it because we really wanted it to be a recreational little side hustle. It was in years two and three that we really started to get serious. We left our jobs. We were running the entire business out of the living room, then it was the living room and kitchen, and then the living room, kitchen and sunroom. All of a sudden, there was inventory in the hallways," said Herman on the latest episode of the Glossy Beauty Podcast. While "genderful" Boy Smells launched at Sephora this month, it first launched into retail via independent stores like Boy George in Austin and now closed Barneys New York, positioning the line as for a fashion savvy person but sold at a more accessible price. Equally thoughtful is the brand's perspective on collaborations. After the runway success of Boy Smells' Slowburn candle with singer-songwriter Kacey Musgraves, it would have been easy for the team to take a rinse and repeat mentality to other partnerships. But Herman said whoever Boy Smells works with has to represent what Boy Smells is all about, which led the brand to its latest work with Grace Jones. In essence, Hermand said, "[We asked ourselves], 'If we could choose one person that represents our genderful values and who we are as a brand, who would we want to work with?' And we went after that person, who is not the person that the digital people who want to inform every decision about ... audience reach or whatever [would choose]. We went after the person that we really felt represented our brand values," said Herman.
MIKE FERGUSON IN THE MORNING 0:00 SEG 1 Gov. Scott Walker on remembering 9/11 21 years after. As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches, hundreds of high school and college students from around the country will be commemorating the lives lost during the attacks by participating in YAF's 9/11: Never Forget Project. Students will plant 2,977 American flags, and recognize a moment of silence. These students are taking the initiative to host this project, because without them, most schools would just have a normal school day––without honoring the tragic loss of life. The project has really taken on a life of its own over the years since YAF founded it in 2003––we've seen so many schools and communities host the display who don't even realize where it started! This year especially, most college students on campus were not even alive on 9/11––underscoring the importance of carrying on the memory. https://students.yaf.org/initiatives/911neverforget/ 11:42 SEG 2 AUDIO: Ron DeSantis vs California (33 secs)Larry Elder says he's considering a run for president in 2024.- Who else would you like to see consider a run?The Elder Statesman?
