Talked with Teresa Zabik and Jeanette Mitchell from the Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center (ONC).  The Friends of ONC is a non-profit that provides support to Okeeheelee Nature Center, it's staff, volunteers and animal ambassadors.  They put on fundraisers to enhance exhibits, trails, facilities as well as educational programs that provide an enriching experience for nature center visitors.  Teresa and Jeanette are volunteers who are working on the upcoming fundraiser, 2nd Annual Gopher Tortoise Gallop 5k Run/Walk.  It's happening on Saturday March 22 with a 7:30am start.  The park will open at 6:15am that day and packet pick up with be at the Micanopy Pavillion. Danny O'Neel was born and raised in Northern California. Signing up for the Army on 9/11 as a Forward Observer at 19, the US Army sent Though the first tour was mostly uneventful, the second trip to Sadr City was a deadly year. Nine of Danny's brothers lost their lives that year. Sadly, 15 members of his unit have taken their own lives in the aftermath, including his company commander. Danny & his wife, Faun started Warfighter Overwatch to help those in crisis. Danny now works as a peer mentor, helping his fellow Veterans come home from the battlefield, and as a motivational speaker. His mission to continue serving is not just inspirational, it'll motivate you to get in the fight!

We love a good mystery. Hercule Poirot, ensemble casts, television shows, we enjoy them all. Though its target audience has always skewed older, we are huge fans of Murder, She Wrote. Recent news of a movie has us excited and we talk about who would make a great Jessica Fletcher. The 2019 Hellboy remake was a critical and commercial disaster. Still, few were surprised another reboot was in the works. The latest version seems to be taking a more streamlined approach but will audiences care?Undying Love seemed like the perfect pick. It has a thumbnail reminiscent of something out of the 1990s, the plot follows a troubled youth being entangled with a beautiful vampire, and the word “erotic” constantly comes up in descriptions of the film. The fact that it came out in 2022, only made it that much more interesting.We like to consider ourselves champions of indie film so when this movie that was released in 2022 looked like something from decade, it did not faze us. And as it turns out, Undying Love actually came out in 1991 though it looks like it was made in 1981. Even that would not be problem; the acting, story, and characters, however…Dance With Death came out in 1992 and looks like it. With a cast that includes Martin Mull and Lisa Kudrow in her first credited screen role, the film certainly has star power. The story may be bare bones (a reporter goes undercover as a topless dancer to catch a killer), but there is plenty of intrigue and great characters.
