Hosts: Ed Jones (Owner of Nutrition World) & Clint Powell A variety of topics all related to living a healthy life Presented by: Nutrition World www.nutritionw.com Broadcasting from the Nooga Dentistry Studio www.noogadentistry.com Production of: Whitfield Media Group www.vitalhealthradio.com Title: Impact of Tennessee Hemp Bill, Discussion of Polypharmacy & Deprescribing  with Dr. Curt Dearing [0:00:00] Ed's Media & Product Updates Preview of main topics: Upcoming Tennessee hemp bill and its negative impact on people using hemp for anxiety, pain, and insomnia. Dr. Curt Deering will discuss polypharmacy and deprescribing. Ed's recent appearances on multiple TV outlets (Fox Phoenix & LA, Be Well NY, CBS Detroit). Discussion of testing the AquaTru water filtration system at home as a potential recommendation (microplastics, partial fluoride removal). Mention that peptides are a growing topic; reference to Noel Lawson as go‑to for prescribed peptides [0:10:42]  Tennessee Hemp Bill & Hemp Industry Impact Introduces guest: Dwayne Madden, owner of Hemp House, as a respected local expert. As of July 1 in Tennessee: All Delta‑8 products will no longer be available for in‑state sale. Many THCA products and all vape products will be gone from shops. CBD and Delta‑9 edibles will have caps: Max 15 mg per serving. Max 300 mg per package. Dwayne notes: Heavy users (e.g., serious pain/conditions) will need to consume many servings to reach effective doses. Law doesn't limit how many packages a person can buy, so total milligrams aren't truly stopped—just made inconvenient. Dwayne explains regulatory control moved: From Tennessee Department of Agriculture (2017–2023) To the ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Commission) Board. Key impacts: All products must now go through distributors, similar to alcohol. Distributors collect taxes and sit between producers and retailers. Small operators like Dwayne cannot qualify for distributor licenses , so he must pay a distributor to move product from his own lab to his own stores. Ed frames this as “follow the money trail” and a way to crush competition. In Tennessee after July 1: No in‑state online hemp sales. Banned products (Delta‑8, etc.) not criminalized for possession or use, only for sale. Potential Workaround: Consumers can order from out‑of‑state websites (e.g., North Carolina), receive products in Tennessee Money leaves the local economy, hurting Tennessee businesses. Ed and Dwayne suggest alcohol industry is likely threatened because many people are reducing alcohol use by using hemp products instead  Dwayne notes: Alcohol sales have declined while hemp sales rose. Regulators appear to be protecting alcohol interests via hemp restrictions. [0:17:41] Federal Regulations & State Opt‑Outs Upcoming federal regulations in November: Expected to be similarly “ugly and nasty” for hemp nationwide. States will have an option to opt out of these federal hemp rules. Tennessee's stance: Governor has stated Tennessee will NOT opt out, so federal restrictions will apply here. Other states (e.g., North Carolina) might opt out, keeping their markets more open. Industry response: Advocacy groups Tennessee Growers Coalition and Hemp Law Group monitor legislation and organize pushback. Some supportive legislators exist, but political drive to reverse current law is limited. Dwayne and Ed distinguish: Reasonable regulation (ID checks, lab tests, dosage clarity, education) vs. A “wipeout/control/takeover” by shifting to ABC and forcing distributor reliance. Dwayne: Says credible local shops (Hemp House, Chattanooga peers like BeeGrity, Snapdragon, etc.) already follow high standards. States this law is not about safety but about control and revenue capture, and will hurt small farmers and businesses. [0:25:55] What Consumers Should Do Before Deadline Practical advice: Stock up now on products that will disappear: Delta‑8 gummies (popular for sleep, anxiety, pain). Other higher‑milligram THC/CBD edibles. Flower and vapes. Hemp House is running clearance sales to move remaining inventory. Dosing notes: Many people do well with ½ Delta‑8 gummy for sleep/anxiety/pain. Some need more or less; staff helps tailor doses for goals. Hemp House will close its North Shore/Tremont Street flagship store by July 1 due to expected sales hit. Remaining Hemp House locations: Ringgold Road (East Ridge) near Spring Creek. Ooltewah by Food City on Lee Highway. Hixson Pike near Workout Anytime and Publix. Broader impact: Other Chattanooga hemp businesses have large staffs (some near 100 employees) and will be heavily affected. The industry is described as grassroots, farmer‑driven, and passionately quality‑focused. [0:33:20] Polypharmacy & Deprescribing with Dr. Curt Dearing Ed introduces Dr. Curt Dearing, clinical pharmacist at Nutrition World (30+ years experience). Curt's background: Formerly fully conventional pharmacist; later “veil lifted” as he discovered green pharmacy (nutritional & botanical alternatives). Current mission: Community outreach to medical schools and residency programs Teach about nutritional and natural alternatives not covered in standard curriculums. Traditional training provides almost zero meaningful nutrition or green pharmacy education. Polypharmacy: use of 5 or more prescription medications. Curt notes: Majority of Americans 65+ meet this definition. Average American receives ~17 prescriptions per year (not all concurrent). Consequences: Increased ER visits due to drug side effects. Estimated ~250,000 deaths/year from drug‑induced causes. Curt's role: Specializes in deprescribing: safely reducing or eliminating unnecessary pharmaceuticals and replacing them with effective natural options when possible.  How Curt Works with Patients & Their Doctors Curt provides coaching, not independent prescribing. Creates detailed packets (10–18+ pages) explaining: Why certain drugs may no longer be needed. Evidence for natural alternatives (e.g., supplements, lifestyle changes). Encourages clients to take the packet to their doctor and have an informed discussion. Patients often fear how their doctors will react to attempts to deprescribe. Green Pharmacy Approach (as described by Dr. Curt Dearing) Using nutritional, botanical, and lifestyle-based therapies either instead of or alongside pharmaceuticals. Focusing on root causes and supporting the body's own healing mechanisms, not just pushing lab numbers in a certain direction. Why polypharmacy is a problem: Increases side effects, drug–drug interactions, and emergency room visits. Contributes to cognitive decline, gut problems, and overall worse health. Often leads to the “prescribing cascade”: Drug A causes side effects → a new drug is added for those side effects → more side effects → more drugs, and so on. How Dr. Curt Dearing uses green pharmacy to reduce polypharmacy: Curt creates a comprehensive list of all medications and supplements. Asks: “Why was this started?” and “Is it still needed?” Looks for: Drugs with no clear current indication. Drugs where a natural option can give similar or better benefit with fewer risks. Drugs that can be safely tapered or sometimes stopped outright (always in coordination with the prescriber). Identifies which meds are likely causing the most harm or least benefit. Some drugs require slow, structured tapering (e.g., sleep meds, acid blockers). Others may be candidates for direct discontinuation after medical agreement. Replacing or supporting with natural alternatives ( please note this is not medical advice, this is a discussion of personal examples in collaboration with medical oversight) Cholesterol: Instead of (or in place of some) statin use, Curt uses berberine and bergamot (Berbercol). In Ed's brother's case, his cholesterol numbers improved on green-pharmacy options, matching or exceeding statin outcomes without the same side‑effect burden. Pain & inflammation: Uses curcumin (for most people), and Boswellia when curcumin isn't enough. Gut/acid issues: Long-term proton pump inhibitor (PPI) use (e.g., omeprazole, lansoprazole) is flagged as harmful to gut microbiome and nutrient absorption. Curt builds step-down plans (tapering PPIs) while supporting the gut with natural measures instead of leaving people on a PPI for 30 years. Focus on side benefits, not side effects. Green pharmacy interventions are chosen because they: Address root causes (e.g., metabolic health, inflammation, gut integrity). Often have multiple positive effects (e.g., berberine helping blood sugar and lipids; curcumin helping joints and systemic inflammation). The aim is fewer total drugs, fewer side effects, better overall function. Clients are encouraged to work with their doctor, so deprescribing is: Planned, Monitored, and Integrated with their existing care. Curt and Ed both acknowledge there are situations where “rescue medicine” is necessary: Severe pain where an opioid is appropriate. Acute crises where drugs are needed as a bandage. The green pharmacy view: Use those drugs as short‑term tools, Then remove or reduce them once the immediate crisis passes, While implementing natural strategies to decrease the need for long‑term prescriptions. [0:56:26] Final Segment  At‑home HPV testing for cervical cancer Ed explains HPV is a major driver of cervical cancer Historically, women had to schedule an in‑office visit for cervical screening, which creates barriers (cost, fear, time, discomfort, lack of insurance). He notes there is now an option for at‑home HPV testing for cervical screening. Intended to increase access for women who aren't getting regular screening. Ed strongly approves of this as a valuable preventive tool and encourages women who haven't been tested to consider it. Ed cites new data showing: Microplastics are found in 100% of human stool samples tested in one study. Higher levels of microplastics are now being linked to gallstones. Broader concerns: Everyday plastic exposure (especially with food and drink) means these particles can: Interact with cells, Drive inflammation, Contribute to premature cellular aging and reduced energy. Practical countermeasures he recommends: Avoid heating food in plastic or placing hot food into plastic containers/wrap (e.g., Saran wrap, plastic take‑out containers). Filter drinking water to remove microplastics (he's trialing the AquaTru system at home, which he says removes 100% of microplastics and much of the fluoride). Improve indoor air quality to reduce airborne microplastic exposure. Ed highlights a serious, long‑term job opening at Nutrition World: Not a summer or short‑term job. Best for someone philosophically aligned with healthy eating and the “green pharmacy” approach. Interested candidates should: Go into the store and speak with Scott, Elisha, or Matt and complete an application.  The post Radio Show / Podcast – May 31, 2026 first appeared on Vital Health Radio.

By buying just One Rental at a Time, Michael Zuber was able to replace his entire W-2 income, scale from one rental to four, then to over 80 rental units, go from paycheck to paycheck to becoming a real estate millionaire, and survive the Dot Com bubble, the 2008 crash, and the post-pandemic meltdown. And in today's show, Michael has two things to say: First, the average American won't make it without becoming an investor. Second, there's good news—this year will be horrible for everyone but investors.  Michael says we're sitting in the best housing market in a decade. He's putting his money where his mouth is, pulling a million dollars out of his properties' equity to buy more, starting now. He's aggressively making offers and getting deals for a fraction of their face value. Using a simple, but easily repeatable “wealth formula,” Michael has become the millionaire next door, and he says with just 20 minutes per day, you can, too. This is a masterclass from one of the most respected real estate investors in the country. Michael shares exactly how the average American can become an “elite investor” with his 20 minutes per day exercise, the properties Michael is looking to buy now, the two (yes, two) offers you should make on every house, and why he never bets on appreciation (and we agree). Michael says this market could last another year—are you going to make a move or wish you had? In This Episode We Cover Michael's 20 minutes per day “elite investor” exercise anyone can use to become a rental millionaire  How Michael replaced his W-2 salary with rentals even through multiple crashes  Why Michael says 2026 will be the best year in a decade to buy real estate The “wealth formula” Michael uses to decide whether a property is worth it  Why the average American will not be able to have a comfortable life without investing  And So Much More! Welcome back to the Building Your Money Machine Show! In today's episode, I get real about one of the most important roles we play—not just as wealth builders, entrepreneurs, or money mentors, but as parents and role models for the next generation. If you don't teach your kids about money, social media (hello, TikTok) will do it for you—and trust me, you won't like those lessons. Instead of “spend now, regret later,” let's raise kids who are independent, generous, financially confident, and prepared for life.I share the rituals and conversations I used with my own son—from the age of five and a half—so you can begin planting those seeds of abundance in your home. I'll show you how this approach builds not just financial literacy, but resilience, character, patience, generosity, and ownership.Whether you're a parent, grandparent, or soon-to-be one, this episode will give you both the mindset and the practical steps to start these conversations tonight.IN TODAY'S EPISODE, I DISCUSS:Why the 1% give their children systems, not handouts. The Four Bucket Blueprint: Save, Give, Live, and InvestReal examples of teaching kids work ethic, value creation, generosity, priorities, and ownership. How to set tangible incentives.Ideas for making giving meaningful and personal, from packing meal baskets to picking causes.Strategies for transitioning from jars and envelopes to real bank and brokerage accounts as your children grow. The difference between passing on assets and passing on skill setsRECOMMENDED EPISODES FOR YOUIf you liked this episode, click here to enjoy these and more:https://melabraham.com/show/The Brutal Truth About Money Management No One Wants to HearYour Wealth Can Explode to $5M… But Only If You Avoid These Traps!Shocking Money Stats of The Average American8 Things You Must Do Before 2026 (Financially)The Smartest Order to Invest Your Money (Step-by-Step)RECOMMENDED VIDEOS FOR YOU If you liked this video, you'll love these ones:The Brutal Truth About Money Management No One Wants to Hear: https://youtu.be/prZWSsf8aasYour Wealth Can Explode to $5M… But Only If You Avoid These Traps!: https://youtu.be/86UuNod1KEcShocking Money Stats of The Average American: https://youtu.be/Li3ZnPmG9Zs8 Things You Must Do Before 2026 (Financially): https://youtu.be/j-7fYxip5g8ORDER MY NEW USA TODAY BESTSELLING BOOK:Building Your Money Machine: How to Get Your Money to Work Harder For You Than You Did For It!The key to building the life you desire and deserve is to build your Money Machine—a powerful system designed to generate income that's no longer tied to your work or efforts. In this powerful episode, I sit down with Corinna Bellizzi — an omega-3 expert, industry pioneer, and pro-planet health advocate who's spent over 20 years transforming essential fats. We explore resilience, health sovereignty, sustainability, and the nutrient most people are deficient in: omega-3s.1. Corinna's Story: Curiosity & GritCorinna's career wasn't built on luck, but on:Insatiable curiosityRefusing the first “no”She shared how being told she'd “never be a runner” led her to finish the Boston Marathon, showing her belief that most people are capable of far more than they think. Her superpower? Seeing possibility where others see barriers.2. Scaling a Tiny Omega CompanyCorinna grew one of the world's top omega-3 brands from under $1M to over $100M across 36 markets. Her approach combined sales mastery, education, science-first messaging, and sustainability advocacy. But even the best fish oil companies had ecological costs, leading her to algae — the original source of EPA and DHA.3. Fish Oil vs. AlgaeKey point: Fish don't make omega-3s — algae does. Algae-based omegas are:3x more bioavailable than fish oilFree from microplastics & heavy metalsEthical and sustainablePart of a regenerative system that helps the planetAt Orlo Nutrition, Corinna is pioneering polar lipid omega-3s, which the body absorbs far better than fish oil or krill.4. Signs of DeficiencyOmega-3 deficiency is common due to cooking oils, low fish intake, and nutrient-poor foods. Symptoms often hidden in “normal” struggles: brain fog, low mood, poor sleep, dry skin, inflammation, joint discomfort, cravings, hormonal imbalances, and slow recovery. Every cell needs omega-3s — without it, inflammation and cellular rigidity rise.5. Omega-3 Index TestThe Omega-3 Index Test measures EPA & DHA in red blood cells:Optimal: 8–12%Average American: 3–4%Corinna's result: 6.37% on two Orlo softgels daily, moving to three brings her into the optimal zone. Orlo includes two Omega-3 Index Tests in the first six months.6. Why Most Supplements FailLow doses, poor bioavailability, and synthetic forms mean many supplements don't work. Corinna explains why bioavailable omegas, methylated B vitamins, and quality greens are worth it — not for biohacking, but for basic human function.7. Investing in HealthWe reframed supplement cost:“Expensive compared to what? Prevention always costs less than correction.”Small, consistent investments in real food + smart supplementation save money and health long-term.8. Corinna's Four Health PillarsWhat you eatWhat you drinkHow you moveHow you sleepOmega-3s support cellular function, recovery, mood, hormones, sleep, and cognition. You don't need 30 supplements — just the right few consistently.Key TakeawaysOmega-3 deficiency is a hidden health crisisAlgae-based omegas are cleaner and more effective than fish oilPrevention is always cheaper than treatmentSmall, consistent health investments compound over timeListen to more episodes at makepeacewithfood.com/podcast or subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcast, and YouTube.Listen to more episodes at www.makepeacewithfood.com/podcast or subscribe to me on Spotify, Podcast, and YouTube so you never miss an episode!Join my Facebook Community: www.myfoodfreedomlifestyle.com Work with me: www.sherryshaban.com/transform Go deeper: www.makepeacewithfood.com Share your biggest takeaway and tag me on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn

It's Tuesday, November 11th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Nigerian Governor denies Christian genocide Just days after Nigerian Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule publicly denied the existence of religious persecution or Christian genocide in Nigeria, about 50 Fulani Muslim gunmen launched a deadly midnight assault on a Christian community in the state.   Three individuals were murdered and others were critically wounded in the massacre.   In protest, hundreds of youths from the community displayed the dead bodies of the victims and blocked traffic until the military showed up to disperse them.  They were protesting the persistent invasions and kidnappings, in hopes of some government intervention. According to Open Doors, Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Sudanese civil war claims 70,000 civilian lives The ongoing civil war in Sudan, Africa is bringing untold losses to human life. Approximately, 70,000 civilians were killed in the last year, and the same number the year before. A paramilitary group, known as the “Rapid Support Forces,” is killing civilians with darker skin in the ethnic purge — and then burying the bodies in mass graves, reports Al Jazeera. America invested twice as much in Africa as China did The BBC reports that the U.S. has overtaken China as Africa's biggest investor for the first time since 2012. America invested $7.8 billion in 2023, compared to China's $4 billion. America absent from U.N. Climate Change Conference The 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference kicked off yesterday in Belém, Brazil. Notably, the U.S. federal delegation is absent, reports The Hill.com. 7 Democrats, 1 Independent join GOP to end gov't shutdown The U.S. Democrat Party has experienced a seismic split. In an historic development on the national scene, seven Democrat senators and one Independent senator agreed to a compromise with the Republicans in the U.S. Senate to bring the government shutdown to an end, report The Epoch Times. The defectors were Dick Durbin (D-IL), Catherine Masto (D-NV), Jacky Rosen (D-NV), John Fetterman (D-PA), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Maggie Hassan (D-NH), and Angus King (I-ME). The big bone of contention among the Democrats in the shutdown concerned there hope of extending the Obamacare funding of individual and family health insurance.  Health insurers are corrupt and contribute heavily to Democrats Breitbart and American Resolve estimate that health insurers are taking in $1 trillion per year in federal subsidies, thanks to Obamacare. Plus, their stocks are up 1,000% since 2009. These companies contributed five times more funds to the Kamala Harris presidential campaign than they contributed to Donald Trump's campaign. And “Blue Shield of California donated $500,000 and UnitedHealth donated $75,000 to Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom's ballot measure effort, Prop. 50” which could give Democrat and insurance companies five additional seats in Congress. Even more egregious, federal auditors estimate that Medicare Advantage will overbill medical services somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 trillion this decade. Isaiah 1:23 warns of princes who “are rebellious, and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes and follows after rewards. They do not defend the fatherless, nor does the cause of the widow come before them.” Tucker Carlson in hot water for Nick Fuentes interview But then, the “conservative right” has their own dumpster fire going after Tucker Carlson interviewed Nick Fuentes. (It was a 2-hour-long interview). Ben Shapiro, the conservative founder of The Daily Wire, referred to Carlson as the “most virulent super-spreader of vile ideas in America.”  Mark Levin layered on another epithet for Carlson, calling the conservative talk show host a “Nazi promoter. " And Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas called the Fuentes interview “cowardly and complicit." Supremes unlikely to affirm Trump's tariffs According to the SCOTUS BLOG, the U.S. Supreme Court appears doubtful as to the constitutionality of the Trump tariffs.   Both Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Neil Gorsuch appeared skeptical in the oral arguments which took place last Wednesday.  Supreme Court will not reverse homosexual marriage The U.S. Supreme Court will not reverse Obergefell.   The high court issued their decision Monday to let the 2015 decision stand — codifying the legitimization of faux marriage for those living in unnatural relations, men with men, and women with women — here in the United States. The justices rejected an appeal from former Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis — who had refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples — on the basis of her religious beliefs. A few weeks ago, Justice Amy Barrett admitted her reluctance to oppose the homosexual campaign for same-sex faux marriage because of what she called "very concrete reliance interests,” reports the New York Times. These apparently did not include God's interests. In a speech Justice Samuel Alito gave a few months ago, he called the Obergefell decision a “precedent of the court that is entitled to the respect afforded by the doctrine of stare decisis.”   That's a legal term meaning the policy of following principles laid down in previous judicial decisions. Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel was quite disappointed.  He said, “The majority of Supreme Court Justices know Obergefell is wrong, and this case should have been granted review and reversed that unconstitutional opinion. We are committed to overturning Obergefell. Like the abortion issue in Roe v. Wade, the Obergefell opinion has no basis in the U.S. Constitution.” The Prophet Micah issued this lament in Chapter 7:2-4. “The faithful man has perished from the Earth, and there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; The best of them is like a brier; The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge; The day of your watchman and your punishment comes; Now shall be their perplexity.” Household debt shot up by 30% Total U.S. household debt has registered a 30% increase since 2020 — now at $18.5 trillion. And, the U.S. dollar has weakened against major currencies this year by about 10%. That's the worst performance since the Nixon presidency.   Meanwhile, gold has increased about 60% in value this year to date. Average American wedding costs $33,000 And finally, in other economic news, The Knot reveals that the average wedding now costs $33,000. And couples who invite over 140 guests will need to pay $40,000. The price tag is location dependent.  New York weddings run $48,000 while Wyoming weddings average $17,000. To compare, the cost of the average starter home in America this year, by RedFin's metric, is $260,000 with a down payment of $16,900. It's Wednesday, October 1st, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Chinese Communists arrested 70 Christians Chinese Communists arrested over 70 Christians recently in a major crackdown on churches. The operation began two months ago and involved over 400 police officers. They targeted Christians involved in Bible study groups in east China.  One local Christian told Open Doors, “We have not seen such a massive force used to address church-related matters. This is something that warrants serious attention.” China is ranked 15th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian.  Psalm 14:4 asks, “Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and do not call on the LORD?” Trump's 20-point plan to end Israeli-Gaza War On Monday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza. The plan involves the ending of hostilities between Israel and Hamas, the Muslim terrorist group, returning of hostages held by Hamas, and providing humanitarian aid to Gaza. The plan calls for a temporary transitional government over Gaza and an economic development plan to rebuild Gaza.   Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the plan. Hamas leaders are reportedly leaning toward accepting the plan. War Secretary Pete Hegseth: Out with the woke, in with the warrior U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth addressed the military's most senior leaders yesterday at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia. Hegseth announced 10 new directives, shifting the department from a “woke” to a “warrior” culture. He described what makes a good military leader.  HEGSETH: “If I've learned one core lesson in my eight months in this job, it's that personnel is policy. The best way to take care of troops is to give them good leaders committed to the war-fighting culture of the department. Not perfect leaders, good leaders.  Competent, qualified, professional, agile, aggressive, innovative, risk-taking, apolitical, faithful to their oath and to the Constitution.” Secretary Hegseth addressed the importance of rigorous physical standards for soldiers. HEGSETH: “When it comes to any job that requires physical power to perform in combat, those physical standards must be high and gender neutral. If women can make it, excellent! If not, it is what it is. If that means no women qualify for some combat jobs, so be it. That is not the intent, but it could be the result. So be it. “It will also mean that weak men won't qualify because we're not playing games. This is combat. This is life or death. As we all know, this is you versus an enemy hell-bent on killing you. To be an effective, lethal fighting force, you must trust that the warrior alongside you in battle is capable, truly, physically capable, of doing what is necessary under fire.” He asked whether any of the military leaders would want one of their sons to become a soldier and serve alongside unqualified soldiers. HEGSETH: “Would you want him serving with fat or unfit or under trained troops? Or alongside people who can't meet basic standards in a unit where leaders were promoted for reasons other than merit, performance and war fighting?  This means at the War Department, first and foremost, we must restore a ruthless, dispassionate and common sense application of standards.” And Secretary Hegseth explained that the War Department will no longer tolerate the distracting woke nonsense. HEGSETH: “This administration has done a great deal from day one to remove the social justice, politically correct, and toxic ideological garbage that had infected our department. To rip out the politics. No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses. No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions. No more debris. “As I've said before and will say again, we are done with that … I've made it my mission to uproot the obvious distractions that made us less capable and less lethal.” YouTube reinstates conservative accounts banned over anti-COVID shot posts Last Tuesday, Google announced that it will reinstate YouTube accounts it banned for political speech. Google said it previously removed YouTube content related to the COVID-19 pandemic after being pressured by the Biden administration.  Google's parent company, Alphabet, wrote in a letter, “YouTube values conservative voices on its platform and recognizes that these creators have extensive reach and play an important role in civic discourse." 52% say sex outside heterosexual marriage is sin; 49% say abortion is sin Here's more data from the State of Theology study study by Lifeway Research and Ligonier Ministries.  Just under half of U.S. adults believe the Bible is 100% accurate in all that it teaches. Sixty percent say the Bible is the highest authority for what they believe. And 50% believe the Bible has the authority to tell us what we must do.  On moral issues, 52% of Americans say that sex outside of traditional marriage is a sin. Forty-nine percent agree that abortion is a sin. Fifty-four percent oppose transgenderism. And 46% oppose homosexual behavior. Psalm 19:7-8 reminds us, “The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.” Average American's FICO score is 715 FICO released its inaugural Score Credit Insights Report this month. The report found the national average FICO credit score is 715. However, young consumers are struggling by comparison with an average FICO score of 676. Gen Z borrowers experienced the largest average score decrease of any age group, falling three points year-over-year.  A key driver for this is student loan debt. Over a third of young consumers have student loans, compared to 17% of the total population. Planned Parenthood closed it's 78,000 square foot abortion mill in Houston And finally, Planned Parenthood officially closed what was the largest abortion mill in North America yesterday.  Back in July, the abortion giant announced it would close two locations in Houston, Texas. One of them was its 78,000-square-foot Prevention Park facility.  The Houston Coalition for Life hosted a vigil outside the building to honor the estimated 110,000+ unborn children killed by abortion there. Shawn Carney, the CEO of 40 Days for Life, said the ministry has prayed outside the mega abortion mill since 2006. He commented to Fox News about the closure, saying, “This is massive news for the pro-life movement and shows the direction that Planned Parenthood is going, which is down.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, October 1st, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com).  Jeff Clark, head of defined contribution research  at Vanguard, says the firm's latest "How America Saves" report for 2025 shows that consumers are doing a better job of setting money aside for their future, helped by rules that have made it easier for employers to help. The average total savings rate — including both worker contributions plus employer contributions — is now up to 12 percent, a potential target for all investors to try to achieve. Todd Rosenbluth, head of research at VettaFi, turns to the first active bond ETF — a 15-year-old iconic fund from PIMCO — as an ultra-safe alternative to cash with his "ETF of the Week." In the Market Call, Jed Ellerbroek, portfolio manager for Argent Capital and the Argent Large Cap ETF — which launched just as the market was bottoming out after the tariff announcements in April —  discusses looking for enduring business models. Plus, Chuck talks about the Federal Reserve and why its independence is so important to the long-term functioning of the economy and the ability to keep inflation controlled.
