The Miyazawa family lived in a quiet, two-story home near Soshigaya Park in Setayata, Japan. 44 year old Mikio worked for the British marketing firm Interbrand, while Yasuko was a homemaker. They had two children: 8 year old Niina, active in soccer and ballet, and 6 year old Rei. Who would have wanted this picture perfect family dead? That is the question that has haunted the world since December 31, 2000. This case is unlike any we have ever covered here at the Dark Oak, as the killer left behind more than 13,000 pieces of evidence....and yet, authorities don't even have a person of interest. Is the 30-year DNA deadlock finally breaking? FBI Legend Steve Kramer goes inside the forensic evidence that defined the O.J. Simpson trial and the JonBenét Ramsey mystery to explain why "unsolvable" is now a myth.In this exclusive sit-down, Tom Zenner and Kato Kaelin enter the briefing room with Steve Kramer, the co-founder of the FBI's Investigative Genetic Genealogy (IGG) unit. Steve details the forensic "math" that dismantled the Golden State Killer case and explains how a single-cell DNA sample can solve a "Perfect Crime" in 48 hours. We analyze the O.J. Simpson evidence through a 2026 lens and break down the specific biological markers currently at the center of the JonBenét Ramsey re-testing. When scientist Edward Bloom demonstrated humanity's first anti-gravity device to the world, a single billiard ball punched through his chest at the speed of light — and the only question that remains is whether the man who aimed it knew exactly what would happen.*No AI Voices Are Used In The Narration Of This Podcast*Take the Weird Darkness Survey: https://take.supersurvey.com/QGZCRXPVSIN THIS EPISODE: “The Billiard Ball” is a science fiction murder mystery short story by author Isaac Asimov, written in September 1966 and first published in the March 1967 issue of “If”. The story is based on a journalist's tale on the events that occurred when an antigravity device was discovered. The story describes the relationship between the creator of the device, billionaire inventor Edward Bloom, and his old college friend James Priss, a Nobel Prize-winning theoretical physicist who discovered the theory on which Bloom's invention is based. Both also happen to be very good pool players.HELPFUL LINKS & RESOURCES…https://WeirdDarkness.com/STORE = Tees, Mugs, Socks, Hoodies, Totes, Hats, Kidswear & Morehttps://WeirdDarkness.com/HOPE = Hope For Depression or Thoughts of Self-Harmhttps://WeirdDarkness.com/NEWSLETTER = In-Depth Articles, Memes, Weird DarkNEWS, Videos & Morehttps://WeirdDarkness.com/AUDIOBOOKS = FREE Audiobooks Narrated By Darren Marlar SOURCES and RESOURCES:“The Billiard Ball” by Isaac Asimov: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/4a7a9m9a=====(Over time links may become invalid, disappear, or have different content. Two privileged young men, driven by arrogance and a twisted sense of superiority, plotted the 'perfect crime.' But the brutal murder of Bobby Franks left behind a trail of evidence and ghost that refuses to rest.*No AI Voices Are Used In The Narration Of This Podcast*IN THIS EPISODE: Leopold and Loeb believed themselves to be more intelligent than everyone and planned to commit the perfect murder. But it would be their pride that brought them down in the end, and it would result in a ghost story! (Chicago's Thrill Killers) *** A woman visiting her mother in the hospital takes an unexpected trip when stepping into the elevator. (Elevator Opens Into The Twilight Zone) *** Even 24 doors couldn't give Charles Lapham a way out of his seemingly-cursed life. (No Exit – The Lapham Patterson House) *** A nightmare is frightening, we can all agree on that. But what if you have a nightmare within a nightmare? One woman tells her terrifying story. (My Real Life Nightmare) *** Robert Berdella. Behind his friendly demeanor lurked a deadly obsession with torture and murder. (The Butcher of Kansas City) *** It was a tale that most considered simply gossip, or the town's urban legend. The rich and powerful made sure it stayed a secret; but all secrets eventually come to light – especially those covered in racism, tragedy, and hundreds of deaths. It's the truth behind the Hawk's Nest Tunnel tragedy. (Town Of The Living Dead) *** A teenager shares his story of being abducted by aliens. You may dismiss it as a nightmare or sleep paralysis, but then how do you explain the injection marks on his body? (Tall Black Shiny Aliens) *** A Weirdo family member tells us why we should be cautious when we hear dogs howling. (When The Dogs Howl) *** Most stories about the men in black are of an aggressive nature, with victims being questioned by them, even threatened into remaining silent. But one man had a strange encounter where the MIB saved his life. (Helped By Four Men In Black) *** It's always a bit scary sleeping in a new house that very first night. But sometimes, as one Weird Darkness fan discovered, there is reason to be frightened. (Whispers In The Night) *** They found the first body stuffed inside the church library's closet. Then a second body turned up. I'll share the creepy case of Theo Durrant – San Francisco's “Jack the Ripper”. (Demon of the Belfry) *** Outside of Washington, D.C. lies an abandoned institution with a thoroughly disturbing past. This is a key segment from our definitive Hidden Killers with Tony Brueski coverage, focused on the true crime story that defined the year: Bryan Kohberger. We execute a full psychological autopsy on the criminology student who planned the impossible, revealing the "Perfect Crime" blueprint he crafted while simultaneously studying criminal minds. This cut revisits the most shocking evidence that proved his attack was not impulsive: The radical premeditation including the 20+ times he stalked the King Road house. The crucial timeline detail showing he acquired his K-Bar knife before even moving to Washington State. Most critically, we dive deep into the conflicting theories of the Silent Plea—the moment he admitted guilt but refused to give a reason. This episode explores the compelling idea that he chose this path to protect his parents from the trauma of testifying and potential public scrutiny, making it his final act of control. We also confront the darkest theories, including the possibility of a sexually motivated crime, drawing parallels between his alleged consumption of dark pornography and the victimology of monsters like Ted Bundy and BTK. This segment is essential viewing to understand the decade of quiet, dark obsession that led a criminology student to cross the line from academic study to real-world violence. It's the definitive analysis of the mind that thought it was smarter than the system. #BryanKohberger, #IdahoMurders, #KohbergerMotive, #CriminologyStudentKiller, #TrueCrimeAnalysis, #PremeditatedMurder, #SilentPlea, #HiddenKillers, #TonyBrueski, #YearInReview Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Presenting Alfred Hitchcock Presents | Ann Arbor District Library
In this installment, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Vincent Price plays Charles Courtney, a detective with a perfect record who is not about to let a mistake stain his reputation. Then Amy joins Al to discuss the passive nature of the episode, suggest a different ending and wonder if Hitchcock was lazy in his directing this time or if this was his regular working routine.
Steve sits down with Ivey Gruber, President of the Michigan Talk Network, for a deep dive into the jaw-dropping Louvre heist. They walk listeners through the wild sequence of events, how the job was pulled off so quickly, the tactics the thieves used, the holes in museum security that made it possible, and the burning question everyone's asking: was there a man on the inside? Steve and Ivey dissect the timeline, the suspiciously efficient execution, and what this heist says about security, planning, and opportunism in high-profile crimes. If you want the gritty details and the skeptical take the mainstream avoids, this episode delivers.

Send us a textOne of New England's most endearing mysteries, but should we classify it that way? Dorothy had a myriad of problems. She was divorced from a loser who couldn't pay support and was attracted to men with a fast lifestyle and little else to offer. In that spirit a relationship with John F. Bolton, a rough and tumble, stumble bum from Boston's West's End.Bolton had just beaten a life sentence for the murder of a two year old step daughter in 1966, he served under a decade in a plea bargain. He was an abusive two time prison loser and Bolton was confirmed to escape a prison run hospital on an almost nightly basis. Dorothy went missing after a night of drinking at the Penalty Box bar, near Boston Garden. The story gets hazier from there, Bolton actually admitted to arguing with Dorothy, the night she disappeared. Dorothy and her Ford vehicle were never seen again. The case went cold almost immediately. Please call the Boston Police Department at 617-343-4470 X-bcpbeantown Email-barry@bostonconfidential.net

The Myth of Kohberger's “Perfect Crime” EXPOSED By FBI The Moscow murders were chaotic, bloody, and confusing. Forensic investigators are still piecing together the exact sequence of events. But one thing is becoming clear: Bryan Kohberger was no mastermind. He didn't glide through the crime scene like some criminal genius. He walked into chaos — and chaos consumed him. Jennifer Coffindaffer and I explore how Kohberger may have gone from surveillance and planning to total collapse once the murders began. Did he intend to kill one victim? Was he interrupted by others? Did rage override control? The forensic evidence suggests exactly that. He saw the cars outside. He knew people were home. Yet he went in anyway, knife in hand. When victims fought back, when the scene unraveled, his plan spiraled into frenzy. The result wasn't precision. It was carnage. We discuss how chaos defines the Idaho murders — and how that chaos punctures the myth of Kohberger as a calculating killer. The reality looks closer to rage, insecurity, and collapse.
