Summary: Personalization has reshaped nearly every industry, turning one-size-fits-all solutions into tailored experiences. Think self-serve kiosks in fast food or streaming algorithms curating content just for you—consumers now expect products to adapt to them, not the other way around. In the health and fitness space, where no two people share the same habits, goals, or motivations, personalization is crucial to progress. So why hasn't mass personalization taken hold in the space? Because it takes more than just offering choices—it requires an approach that adapts in real time and integrates seamlessly into people's lives. Today's guest is leading this shift, using cutting-edge innovation to make personalized health and fitness more accessible than ever. Today, we're sitting down with Kevin Duffy, CEO of iFIT, the global leader in connected fitness. Kevin is a seasoned executive with experience leading both private equity-backed and public consumer-branded technology companies. Some of Kevin's core strengths include steering organizations through transformative organic growth, completing integrated accretive acquisitions, and delivering superior investor returns. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Economics from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. In this episode, Kevin unpacks how iFIT is revolutionizing connected fitness by making mass personalization a reality. He discusses the technology driving adaptive workout experiences, the role of data in shaping individualized fitness journeys, and why the future of health and wellness hinges on meeting people where they are. Highlights:Kevin describes the path to his current role at iFIT (2:57)What iFIT is and what makes their technology and software unique (4:41)The importance of customization and personalization in health and wellness (7:11)iFIT's unique habit-forming AI software (9:00)Kevin discusses the recent NordicTrack partnership (11:03)Business scale and prospects for continued international expansion (12:53)Kevin walks us through iFIT's recent software updates and advancements (15:18)How user data helps enhance iFIT products (18:01)The management team and company culture at iFIT (19:15)Major fitness trends to watch in 2025 (20:45)How iFIT balances innovation with investment (24:10)Goals for the future (26:03)Links:Kevin Duffy on LinkedIniFIT on LinkedIniFIT WebsiteICR on LinkedIn ICR on XICR Website Feedback:If you have questions about the show, or have a topic in mind you'd like discussed in future episodes, email our producer, marion@lowerstreet.co.

Much of the success of the German discount supermarkets lies of course in their lower prices. That's why they now command between them a quarter of the Irish grocery market. But it's not just price. Both companies no longer source most of their produce from Germany. They do so a lot closer to home. Only this week Lidl signed a renewed and beefed-up deal with O'Briens Fine Food to supply cooked meat products such as ham and turkey. But will that push up the price for consumers? To chat about this and more with Joe was Kevin Duffy, Senior Buying Director for Lidl Ireland.
The Architect - a play marking the 30th anniversary of the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence - will take place on a double-decker bus travelling the route on which Stephen was attacked in 1993. Presenter Allan Little speaks to the director Matthew Xia and one of the playwrights, Bola Agbaje. Small independent publishers appear to be on a winning streak - last year several prestigious literary prizes were won by small presses, despite the inflationary pressures that have put some out of business. To discuss what's behind the rise - and fall - of small publishers, Allan is joined by Natania Jansz of Sort of Books, Valerie Brandes of Jacaranda Books, and Kevin Duffy of Bluemoose Books. Chilean film director Pablo Larrain has switched from biopics on Jackie Kennedy and Princess Diana to create a world in which dictator General Pinochet is a vampire - he talks to Alan about his new film, El Conde. Schools are being closed because of the discovery in their buildings of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC), which can crumble and cause sudden collapse. It was used from the 1950s to the 1980s, not only in schools and hospitals, but also in theatres and venues. Already, two theatres and a concert hall have had to close. Matthew Hemley of The Stage newspaper has been investigating and discusses the implications. Presenter: Allan Little Producer: Julian May The Architect 05:59 Small Publishers 14:56 El Conde 29:50

Kevin Duffy joins us to discuss whether this is a passing issue or a serious problem.
The last of the “cheap” Porsches – they were plentiful, and some had aggressive jack-knifed fender flares and others were more demure. They don't have the panache of the 911 but that's OK. Because these amazingly well-balanced front-mount rear-drive vehicles are what many would consider “a Driver's Car” – something you jump in, don't think twice about, but puts a smile on your face when exiting a corner on a back-road, autocross or race track. Tonight we're chatting about the Porsche 924 & 944 - the 924 being originally designed by Porsche for Volkswagen and is the predecessor to it's more famous younger sibling the 944. These vehicles spanned a 16 year production run from 1976 through 1992 before ultimately being replaced by the 968. And joining us for an in-depth conversation into one of my favorite Porsche's is Kevin Duffy, noted 924/944 expert from 924S944.com to explain to us “Why we should buy… a water-cooled Porsche!”

This week, a Stansberry Investor Hour listener-favorite returns to the show... Kevin Duffy, editor of The Coffee Can Portfolio newsletter and hedge-fund manager, is back. And on his mind is the spectacular, near-overnight collapse of banks. But the foundation of this month's banking fiasco was laid years ago. He explains how it all started... how Silicon Valley banks had risky loan books balanced with less-risky U.S. Treasurys... how banks' assets tripled during the two years of pandemic-driven government stimulus... and how the bond bubble burst and set off a chain reaction. Kevin also shares that the root of the problem comes from the U.S.'s fractional-reserve banking system and reliance on the Federal Reserve and leverage. A simple way to understand the problems with today's banks is to list the characteristics of an ideal hedge fund. When that list is inverted, it describes a modern-day fractional-reserve bank. ➡️ Watch Here

It's a double-wammy of guests this week as Ali Gilbert and Kevin Duffy come on the pod to chat about health, wellness, and how to be better humans. The PGA TOUR's opposite field event in Puerto Rico gave opportunities to young players and journeymen to make career strides (1:42). At the Arnold Palmer Invitational, all the big names were making moves on Sunday, but at the end of the day, a young American took his first win (3:08). The LPGA was out in Singapore, and one of the game's best notched another victory (6:56). The PGA TOUR announced big changes to the "designated events" for 2024. Alex and Michael wonder what differences now remain between the TOUR and LIV (7:53). The guys stay in Florida and head to The PLAYERS Championship where defending champion, and now LIV golfer, Cam Smith, lives just down the road (16:27). In Tuned In, Michael saw Oscar darling Tar, while Alex was soaking in non-stop Southwest Florida news during his trip to Marco Island (21:27). Ali Gilbert, the Queen of Men's Health, chats with Alex about how she keeps men healthy, sex-driven, and ready to play the game (25:20). Kevin Duffy chats with Alex about his takes on health and fitness for golfers, and how he manages his time between his new gym and a golf course that Alex knows very well (47:41). Michael wants to talk about a childhood throwback, and one "Swiss" chocolate treat is losing some of its beloved imagery (1:08:51). College conference championships are happening this weekend, and that means March Madness is literally right around the corner (1:10:14) Alex was able to catch a Red Sox Spring Training game while in Florida, and he reports on the new rule changes and pitch clock (1:11:56). As the guys #AlwaysEndWithFood, Alex shares how he's keeping up on his diet, while Michael is making big life changes after a frightening diagnosis (1:16:04). Kevin Duffy wears at The Village Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC. One of those is Missions Pastor. Kevin has been serving there since 2005, and he has a lot of wisdom to share. He joins us to share about The Village Baptist Church's “Face to Faith” initiative. Want to learn how your church can partner with OneChild to bring HOPE to kids living in hard Places? Click Here! First, Face to Faith began out of the heart of a member of The Village Baptist Church. The church released a member to step into what God had put on his heart. When we do this, something powerful happens. Second, context changes the way programs are implemented, but the Gospel is the same. Face to Faith may look slightly different in different countries, but the goal and foundation is till sharing Christ's love. And finally, we can help kids and widows and the poor with clean water, food, medicine and schooling, but if we don't share the Gospel we're missing the whole point. The greatest form of poverty is Spiritual Poverty. We have to remind ourselves of this every day. Learn more about The Village Baptist ChurchLearn more about OneChild HERE!

Kevin Duffy and Patrick Highsmith return as guests. It seems likely that gold and silver miners should have a great year in 2022 given that both metals appear to be in the early days of a new major new bull market as the equity markets continue to descend from extreme overvaluations thanks to insane central bank zero-interest rate policies. As rates rise, true value rises to the top which is why gold and silver are on the rise. So we expect major gold and silver producers to do well along with the likes of Timberline Resources, which is on to a Carlin-style gold discovery in Nevada. Patrick Highsmith will join us to provide an update on that company's exploration plans in 2023. But while the equity market in general is expected to suffer further declines at least in the first half of 2023, your host is on the lookout for good values in the shares of major companies at bargain basement prices. That's why Kevin Duffy has been invited to share his thoughts about some bargains in companies that provide essential goods and services that the world always needs. Kevin will share some of the gems he has recently discovered. Also your host plans to share some gold and silver exploration stories that he covers in J Taylor's Gold Energy & Tech Stocks newsletter and that he has invested his own money in.

Kevin Duffy and John Rubino return as guests this week. Most investors make money in bull markets and lose most of it in bear markets. An exception is Kevin Duffy whose Bearing fund registered triple-digit gains in the 2008 financial crisis. His Austrian school economic perspective paved the way for those stellar 2008-09 bear market profits. But that same perspective did not equip him to excel when policy makers inflated financial markets. He has since developed a strategy for making money in bull, bear or stagflationary markets. Kevin will share his views of the current tumultuous markets as well as some of his current investment ideas published in his Coffee Can Portfolio newsletter. John will join me to discuss his sense of the current markets and share his views on how he thinks investors should plan for what is increasingly looking like a stagflation environment that may in fact be one of much greater magnitude than that of the 1970s. Your editor will pass along some of his investment ideas in his monologue.

In this week's interview, Kevin Duffy – who has been in the game for more than 40 years, from buying his first stock at age 13 to shorting heavyweights in the housing and credit bubbles –shares his unique perspective on today's investing atmosphere. He and Dan discuss everything from the stocks, commodities, and inflation concerns that are shaping today's financial environment to the cultural shifts caused by pandemic-accelerated digital revolution and Disney's employee walkout.

Kevin Duffy, Dr. Quinton Hennigh and Michael Oliver are this week's guests. During the 2008-09 financial crisis Kevin Duffy's Bearing Asset Management fund registered triple-digit gains while most everyone else saw their 401 K accounts cut in half. By exercising healthy skepticism of mainstream propaganda and studying history, Kevin has demonstrated how by recognizing past patterns of human and institutional behavior and by sticking to the merits of long-term value, you may be able to avoid large scale losses suffered by most investors and actually profit from taking contrarian positions. Given the increasingly tumultuous markets during the first quarter of 2022, we will ask Kevin what strategies he is currently using to “turn hard times into good times.” Dr. Hennigh will join us to provide an update on what is rapidly becoming a very large-scale, bulk mineable silver-tin deposit with other valuable base metal credits. Shareholders are enjoying the ride but given massive upside exploration potential, these may still be early days in terms of the ultimate upside. Michael has been preparing his readers for major shifts in investment sentiment, away from overvalued equities to vastly undervalued commodities. With those tectonic shifts underway, we will ask Michael how much further do these new trends have to go?

Kevin Duffy, Patrick Highsmith & Michel Oliver return as this week's guests. Over the last 16 months, Kevin Duffy's conservative “Coffee Can Portfolio” has gained 54.14% compared to a gain of 43.80% for the S&P 500. He did that despite 20.22% in reserves, 7.71% in portfolio insurance, 18.15% in gold stocks. Unlike the S&P 500, the Coffee Can Portfolio appears to be in a position to profit from, or at least, reduce losses in a major equity bear market. Kevin will join us to share his investment philosophy, provide his views on the economy and let us know how he has positioned his portfolio to weather a growing inflationary threat and, at the same time, protect his portfolio from a major equity bear market. Given that stocks are the most overvalued they have ever been in American history, the threat of a major decline in equities should be taken seriously, especially as interest rates rise in concert with higher rates of inflation. Patrick Highsmith will introduce the story of Timberline Resources, a new sponsor to the show, that has large highly prospective gold exploration targets in Nevada. Michael Oliver will join me to tell us what his momentum and structural analysis is saying about stocks, bonds, commodities, and gold for 2022.
Since the bottom of the Covid market crash, on March 23, 2020, the S&P 500 is up an incredible 100%... Which begs the question... is this bull market picking up steam? Or are investors sleepwalking towards a big market crash? Shorting the market can be risky business, so to help answer these questions, Dan invites repeat guest Kevin Duffy back onto the show... Kevin co-founded Bearing Asset Management back in 2002, which is famous for warning their clients about the housing and credit bubble before the crash of 2008. Kevin and Dan discuss many of the overvalued sectors of the market... But Kevin says that though the market looks risky today, there's always great opportunities if you know where to look. In fact, Kevin talks about some industries he's been following that are just entering the mass adoption stage and could be poised for explosive growth... Plus, Kevin shares a few secrets he's learned over the years in the risky business of short selling that you won't hear anywhere else... If you've ever been curious about hedging your portfolio, and even how to make huge profits from a potential downturn, this is a conversation you don't want to miss... Listen to Dan's conversation with Kevin, and much more, on this week's episode.
Kevin Duffy and Chen Lin Return. Carl Löfberg of Firefox Gold visits for the first time. “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.” That famous quote from Charles Dickens best describes the view of Kevin who sees both enormous social upheaval and poverty but at the same time sees “the hockey stick of human prosperity.” According to those views, we will ask Kevin how he is investing his funds' resources. Chen, who is no stranger to bio technologies that can better the lives of humanity, will share his views on the market and Carl will talk about some very exciting high-grade gold exploration targets for Firefox in Finland.
Former sports journalist, Kevin Duffy, joins TSMO to talk about his career spanning the past decade. Kevin covered UConn Men's Basketball beginning in 2011, including the 2014 National Championship team. He then went on to cover the New England...

On this week's episode, Dan gives the latest updates on what is on everyone's mind, the Coronavirus. At the moment, unfortunately, we have more questions than answers. "What happens if the poorest in our country can't work for 6-8 weeks?" "What happens if Americans go back to work before the virus ends?" "Is the cure worse than the disease?" Then on this week's interview, Dan invites Principal of Bearing Asset Management, Kevin Duffy, onto the show. Bearing Asset Management was one of the few firms on Wall Street warning their clients of the housing and credit bubble before 2008. Dan asks Kevin about his new newsletter "The Coffee Can Portfolio." It's based on an older contrarian investment strategy that you may be unaware of. Kevin tells Dan stories of what it was like on Wall Street during the Financial Crisis and why the situation today seems so different. Also, Porter Stansberry has a special message for these questionable times. Click here to listen

Kevin Duffy, Nav Dhaliwal and Michael Oliver return. Kevin and his partner Bill Laggner have a magnificent track record during stock market crashes. With the equity bull market among the longest on record and with legendary hedge fund manager Ray Dallio just now proclaiming the beginning of a bond bear market and predicting a stock market crash, we turn to Kevin for his thoughts about the direction of various markets in 2018 and to learn how the Bearing Fund is positioning its investors. Michael, who had been calling for a slow equity market decline and has now joined the growing number of market pros who envision a sharp decline rather than a version of a more tame bear market, will provide an update. With the dollar in decline, gold and other commodities are on the rise. That's good news for Bonterra Resources. Nav will update us on that company's glowing success in outlining a multi-million ounce gold deposit in Quebec. Gold investments are back. You can't afford to miss this show.
