Today, zines are having a renaissance, with more DIY-ers returning to the medium to spread information and stories - as well as to avoid increased censorship. The Common recently visited the Boston Public Library's Jamaica Plain branch to check out the BPL's zine collection with children's librarian and local punk drummer, Chris Strunk. In this episode of Tech Sales Insights, Randy Seidl welcomes Martin G. Moore, a keynote speaker, co-founder “Your CEO Mentor”, and the host of “No Bullsh!t Leadership”, to share his insights on leadership and the key principles of his "No Bullsh!t Leadership" framework. He emphasizes the importance of delivering value at the core of leadership and highlights the seven imperatives for effective leadership: handling conflict, building resilience, working at the right level, mastering ambiguity, making great decisions, connecting the dots, and being accountable. Marty also discusses the challenges of remote work and the need for deliberate and productive in-person interactions. He shares a real-life example of how focusing on change and continuous improvement can lead to significant improvements in productivity. Marty also explores the paradox of salespeople transitioning into leadership roles and the importance of empathy and connection in leadership.KEY TAKEAWAYSEffective leadership is about delivering value and connecting leadership with results.Handling conflict is a crucial skill for leaders to master.Building resilience involves developing grace under pressure and maintaining calmness in challenging situations.Working at the right level means focusing on your own responsibilities and not overcompensating for your team members.Mastering ambiguity requires the ability to provide clear direction in a complex and uncertain environment.Making great decisions quickly is more important than waiting for perfection.Connecting the dots involves implementing the principles of leadership in practical ways and focusing on the important aspects of leadership.Remote work presents challenges, and deliberate and productive in-person interactions are essential for effective leadership.QUOTES"Motivation follows action, not the other way around." - Martin Moore"It's easier to rein in a stallion than it is to flog a donkey." - Martin Moore"Operational excellence is about having the right culture of excellence over perfection and continuous improvement." - Martin Moore"The best leaders are usually always great salespeople." - Martin MooreFind out more about Martin in the link below:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-moore-075b001/Website: https://www.martingmoore.com/This episode of Tech Sales Insights is brought to you by: Sales Community: https://www.salescommunity.com/Sandler: https://www.sandler.com/

Red Swift Courageous Tara Practice This is an overview and practice Sadhana of Red Swift Courageous Tara, the first of the 21 Taras Practice. When you get overwhelmed, angry, or downright livid about the the state of our world these days, that is a signal that you do indeed have valid concerns. These are very transforming times we live in and on the spiritual level, how exactly do we work within ourselves and the energies at large. How do we work to change things. The truth is, that it all starts within. Any kind of Goddess Practice ( your choice) can be very uplifting not only for yourself but sets up a ripple effect in the world around you. The 21 Taras Sadhana or Practice is from Tantric Tibetan Buddhism and was brought to Tibet, firstly, by Padma Sambhava about 1200 years ago and then again 200 years later by the Bengali scholar Atisha. It is a feminine enlightenment practice where prayers, mantras, visualizations are installed within the practitioner, in a practice Sadhana. Each one of the 21 Taras Mandala, works with different energies that we may come up against in our daily evolution. Red Swoft Courageous Tara is perfect for the energies of right now as we come to terms with many social injustices such as Supreme Court rulings, school shootings, and the war in Ukraine. Thank you for listening and just know, this practice is not just for you, but when you practice it, it gravitates out to everyone around you.
