News and Notes About "A Bride for Christmas" This movie originally premiered on December 12, 2012 as part of the 3rd annual Countdown to Christmas line up. "A Bride for Christmas" was directed by Gary Yates. Yates currently has 43 directing credits and since this movie has gone on to direct many Hallmark movies including “Christmas By Starlight,” “On the 12th Date of Christmas” and “Merry and Bright” amongst others. Barbara Kymlicka wrote the script for this movie. We just reviewed another movie written by Barbara Kymlicka called “A Very Merry Mix-Up” which came out a year after “A Bride for Christmas.” Kymlicka is a 2-time nominee and 1-time winner of the Canadian Screen Awards for best writing. Arielle Kibbel plays runaway bride Jessie. This appears to have been Arielle's first project for Hallmark Channel. She went on to co-star with Andrew Walker again in the 2015 movie “Bridal Wave.” We last saw her on Hallmark last year in “Love in the Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance.” Andrew Walker plays Aidan. Mark has 65 directing credits including "Holiday Hotline," "Heart of the Matter," "Eight Gifts of Hannukah" and "The Baker's Son."  Sheila Roberts wrote the book "The Nine Lives of Christmas," as well as the sequel "The Nine Kittens of Christmas." Nancey Silvers adapted the story into a screenplay. Christmas in August is the gift that keeps on giving. About "Wedding Every Weekend" ‘Wedding Every Weekend' was filmed in Canada including Vancouver, British Columbia. This movie was filmed in June and July 2020, after the pandemic started, so there were social distancing rules in place. In an interview with The Sarah Scoop Show, Sustad said that they were the first production back since the pandemic started. Paul Campbell told Media Village “they were the first production to film during phase three of the reopening, starting on June 20" and "everyone wore masks, sanitized, and some had to stay within their departments.”   Some interior weddings scenes were moved outdoors, everyone had morning temperature checks, and about 50% of the background performers are actually mannequins but Campbell said "they'll be hard to spot." Last seen in Holiday Heritage during last year's Countdown to Christmas. Prior to that, Advice to Love By and A Winter Getaway. Director Jason Bourque - 57 directing credits including one of our faves from a few seasons ago “My Christmas Family Tree” Story credit is giving to Samantha Herman. Her other writing credits include last year's “A Fabled Holiday” and “Our Italian Christmas Memories.” The teleplay was written by Joey Elkins who is a staff writer on the Netflix hit series “Outer Banks” as well as a few hallmark writing credits like “Autumn in the City” “Unlocking Christmas” and “Love on Iceland” Blake Silver is also credited with writing the teleplay. She's probably best known for playing Mary Alice Young in "Desperate Housewives," as well as Ann Ewing in the reboot of "Dallas" from 2012-2014, and 22 episodes as Nora Walker in "13 Reasons Why." Dan Jeannotte plays Dean Chase. We saw Dan in last year's "The Royal Nanny" and of course we know him as Ryan Decker on "The Bold Type." This week I review newest movie on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel titled "North to Home" starring Barbara Niven, Lyndsy Fonseca, Kimberley Sustad and Erica Durance. Directed by Ali Liebert. This movie was all about the women. It touched upon subjects of forgiveness, communication, familial love and survivors' guilt. The actresses performances were powerful. It left an emotional impact on me. I was left curled up on my bed crying, watching the last two minutes of this movie. It was just perfect in my opinion. This week, Kayla and I are back reviewing 8 movies. Pray for us as we deal with this #MerryThanksgiving weekend extravaganza. Let's just say we will be breezing through these reviews. In this episode we review Nine Kittens of Christmas starring Kimberley Sustad and Brandon Routh, as well as Christmas CEO starring Paul Greene and Marisol Nichols. Nine Kittens is the long awaited sequel to the 2014 classic Nine Lives of Christmas. We lament about how none of the actors age, laugh at the Superman references, and squeal at the cuteness of the kittens. As animal advocates, we do throw in the cautionary tale of please don't give kittens or puppies as Christmas presents. It should be something everyone involved is certain of. Also love the ending and throw out ideas of what the title of the next sequel could be. Shout out to our main man Paul Campbell for his cameo. (This is literally the weekend of Paul Campbell lol.) Christmas CEO was an ok movie. We talk about Marisol's character's name, the Reindeer Games, how adorable his niece was, and how we feel about the rushed ending.  To be honest, neither of these movies really stood out for us especially after eight movies in a three day weekend. It's Christmas in November and we are 'gifting' you a Godwink Christmas. This movie stars 2 of our favorites: Paul Campbell as Gery, a small town inn keeper and Kimberley Sustad as Paula, an antiques appraiser.  These two are smack dab in the path of a Godwink. Where the 'Powers that Be' keep guiding them into each other's lives. In this episode we speculate about 'The Almighty' donning a polyester tracksuit, how tree stumps don't grow on trees and experience our first erectile dysfunctional movie ending. We feel a little betrayed by the Godwink but we'll still wink back and add a couple of fist bumps and finger guns. We hope you join us for all the holy rolling we do. Our first Christmas in November movie is The Nine Lives of Christmas starring Kimberley Sustad as Marilee and Brandon Routh as Zach. Marilee has her eye on the prize. Her sole focus is on finishing vet school until she meets Brandon. He has a fear of commitment and is happy being single until she and a cat named Ambrose enter his world. In this episode we speculate about the effectiveness of doily bras, give puffy coat etiquette, champion 'Chests for Charity' (even though it's not Octo-bare anymore) and give depressing cougar facts.
